Hi, i wanna start off by saying I'm thankful for everyone who will help me in this problem. so what my problem is that ever since the Nvidia Drive Update Either 551.23 version or 546.65 (i can't seem to remember which one) that was released this early Jan, its more than a month now, it screwed my Realtek Audio driver, what would happen is that every time i would play any type of game and would try to adjust the main volume from desktop it wont respond or would cause delay, like if i would lower the volume it wont respond quickly and that watching videos on youtube or in any sites would play the video normally but with audio delay. I use my 8 year old Edifier Subwoofer Speakers for watching videos and solo gaming, though i know that my speakers are not the problem (even though its bass humming on full volume), i went and bought a cheap bluetooth speaker with subwoofer so i could just bluetooth the audio if the problem occurs, it worked but for sometime but for some reason this week the audio would most of the time stop and play in bluetooth. (Also i forgot to mention that when i try to restart or turn my pc off during the problem, my speakers wont be on the playback device list, would then later come back in morning the next day when i turn on my pc and start work- its really weird. ) 1. So I've tried checking the audio drivers, that's where i found out that the Realtek driver was missing, i tried re installing but still nothing after restart. 2. Uninstalled and re-installed nvidia driver, still nothing. ( i even used Revo uninstaller just like JayzTwoCents advised on his recent video) 3. Checked for corrupt files on windows just in case, i did found some but was later on fixed using sfc, still it didn't fix the issue. 4. trouble shoot sound problems but nothing. 5. even uninstalled the audio drivers on device manager such as Corsair Virtuoso, Nvidia High def, Nvidia Virtual. Still nothing (2 days ago The device HID-compliant headset driver on DM would cause error so i just removed my Virtuoso's since wireless mode is not working anymore) 6. I tried uninstalling Nvidia Broadcast just in case, nothing happened. 7. Turned on and off Hardware acceleration in google chrome. 8.Updated my bios yesterday, still no fix. 9. Used CCleaner. 10. Used PatchMyPc still nothing, i would have just let it go and give up then save money to buy 1tb m.2 nvme then re install windows because my OS is installed on a Plextor 128gb m.2 nvme for 3+ years now, but yesterday just running Adobe Illustrator for work would cause the audio problems and then my pc was stuck, no blue screen, no black screen, everything froze, windows key and mouse wont do anything, even end task manager. so here are my pc specs below. Audio Devices the only solutions that i could think of would be 1. system restore c drive, i hope the restore point last time was saved (having 2nd thoughts because some steam saved files on the APP DATA folder might roll back ass well, honestly idk) 2. Re-install windows (hesitating because of wanting to re install on a 1tb nvme) 3. Proceed to win11 hoping it would fix the problem. maybe you guys have a better solution for this, i would be forever grateful for this community. All i could think of is that perhaps my tech idol Linus would know something about this but for a tech giant like him to give time for me is impossible so i came here in his community instead.

Hello everyone, so prior to the peak of my issue I was having issues with my computer randomly locking up and needing to be restarted before I could use keyboard or mouse again. I had recently moved my pc to my apartment and went to seat and reseat my ram and checked all my power connections. All was good and seated correctly. I went to power on my pc and it started bootlooping. So I seated and reseated my ram sticks a few times to no luck. So I took out the far right ram stick and it booted back up immediately. I then plugged and replugged both ram sticks and somehow it booted up. Is one of my ram sticks dying? It kinda seems like that may be the stem of the issue. Prior to this I have had one blue screen as well. Help with this is appreciated and FYI I did have the ram in the proper position. I double checked each time I reseated it.

As the title indicates my PC has begun randomly freezing seemingly out of nowhere. For context I built this PC around a year or two ago and its worked perfectly fine until recently (specs are below). A couple months ago my hard drive (a Barracuda 2tb drive) began to make a clicking sound which to me indicated it was becoming old and needed to be replaced. After ordering a new replacement drive and sending the bad one back for repair (it was still under warranty) the new drive once installed displayed the same symptoms immediately and began clicking upon its first start up. I promptly returned the drive and ordered another only for the new one to display the exact same symptoms again. This happened 3 times now so I was beginning to think that its not the hard drive's fault but rather a different component that causes them to fail, I tried different SATA data and SATA power cables and they all displayed the same activity. I've seen online that the power supply might be the issue, I have a Corsair RM850x power supply 80+ gold but I have no way to test if it is faulty. Everything else seems to work fine, I downloaded a Seagate application that tests the health of your systems drives and the only test the different hard drives fail is the S.M.A.R.T. tests, all other tests come back positive. Further, when I play games off of my 500gb ADATA SSD my system never freezes, I often play Rainbow Six with friends and my PC never freezes or shuts down during use. MOBO post codes indicate that everything is OK and I haven't seen any odd behavior from any other component. Does any one know what could be causing the issue? PC Specs: - CPU: i9-9900k @ 4.9ghz - GPU: RTX 2070 ROG Strix OC - MOBO: Asus Maximus XI Hero (Wifi) - RAM: 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB - Storage: - 250gb Samsung Evo (boot drive) - 500gb ADATA 2.5" SSD (extra storage) - 2tb Seagate Barracuda (Game storage only) - PSU: 850W Corsair RM850x 80+ gold

Problem in a nutshell: My mouse still moves fine but when I click things, they either don't click, or take like 15 seconds to respond. No apps can be opened / closed and when I try shutting down the PC with Windows button > Power > Shut Down which immediately sends me to the lock screen which then allows me to sign in, however, everything remains frozen. The only "solution" to this is holding down the power button on my PC so that it forces shut down, and then when I turn it back on, everything is normal again... until the next time it happens. There's something I noticed when this problem happens. So, I have a "rain" animation playing on my Corsair RAM (specs below), and I've noticed that the animation stops whenever the PC freezes like this. I was lucky enough to have the iCUE software open one time when this happened, and I noticed a red error symbol next to my RAM. I hovered over it and clicked it, but nothing popped up. Potentially a RAM problem? The RAM has been working fine so far and I even tried to make sure it was pushed in (which it is). This problem started a few weeks back and happens at least once every day at a random time (not usually doing anything intensive). One thing to note: I started Bitcoin mining around the time the problem started. I tried two apps, NiceHash and Salad, and I ran both for many hours a day. The freeze problem occurred when I was and wasn't mining. Frustrated by the problem, I uninstalled both mining softwares in case they were doing something, however the problem still occurs. I don't recall installing anything else around the time the problem began. Another thing to note is that this is a custom built (my first ever PC build, actually), so there could be a problem, however I didn't really cheap out on any specs. Here they are: -Ryzen 5 3600 -32GB-3200MHz (2x16) Corsair Vengeance rgb Pro -Asus X570-Plus TUF Gaming -970 Evo 1TB -Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6GB -Corsair CXM 650W psu I really hope someone can help me resolve this problem, it's getting extremely annoying now!

I recently ran into a problem on windows 10. Every time i start up gta 5, the screen turns black and the whole pc locks up. I can tell that the pc locked up by pressing the number lock key. this problem did rarely happen on windows 7. i did research about this problem, and all i found was people having crashes when in the middle of game not when it started up. i reinstalled the display driver and that didn't help. i tried running the game in compatibility mode to act like it was running in windows 7, but the game even would crash even more. compatibility mode usually solves that I had with older programs like gta san andreas. i was wondering if somebody could help me with this problem.

CPU: AMD FX 6100 GPU: RX 460 2GB MB: ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600 HMZ PSU: GIGATECH 550W Hi recently I bought a rx 460 and noticed the pc is a bit slower, there is a bottleneck between the cpu and gpu, with gpu being underload with 30-40% and cpu 70%. I was playing H1Z1 and there is a some sort of a bug that rises your gpu temperature while in a lobby, this happened on a old card too but with the rx its not that bad cuz the game crashes at 60 C idk why but it happened once. The other I played h1z1 and the game struggled to load the map and buildings somethimes but the game after it did fine, 20-30 minutes later while I was spectating a friend pc froze with black and white dots idk what they are called but its when those old tv's dont have a signal... you know, and the sound lagged a bit following with a black screen. I rebooted with no problem and a message popped "Windows system recovered from last shutdown and Name of problem: Bluescreen". I updated the gpu driver (optional update) and rebooted and windows was scanning my hard drive that happened before again after pc froze. I was confused because there was no blue screen at all so what seems to be the preoblem, my os or dying hdd. Ty for any suggestions.

Hello, I just upgraded my PC with following components I7 8700 16gb ram (2x8) Kingston hyperx Motherboard msi Z390m gaming edge ac Hydro cooling h100i Platinum. Samsung sad 860 Evo 500gb The rest old components are 1 SSD , 2 hdd , Psu chieftec 650 watt 80plus, and Msi gtx 970 100 years edition. I encountered some freezes .for example when listening to YouTube my PC froze for 2 secs making a buzzing sound and then continued normally working . See happened one more time but without the buzzing sound as if I did not listen to anything at that time. Tried to make some stress tests. I ran xtu stress test for cpu and it passed. Then I ran xtu stress test for ram and my PC froze for approx 5 secs and then continued working . The test showed pass ?! Also when I ran cpu test from cpu z , my mouse can't move flawlessly. Does anyone knows what may has been happening ? Thank you for your time to read my post and help me!

The issue is that after a certain period of time(aprx 10 to 30mins) playing a game at any resolution from 720 to 4K (4K on vanilla minecraft and TABS) the pc seems to freeze and not respond to any key input, even the Razer keyboard seems to freeze. On some other games if the graphics are really heavy (making the game go to ~40fps) it will freeze the pc. Then I have to close my pc from the restart button on the case so it can restart, yet this will always happen when I play any video game. Most games at 1080p High run at above 50fps, Fallout 4 and Arma 3 might need to be on medium so they can run better. However when I haven't opened any game at all the pc can work just fine without freezing. My theory is that the PSU is not giving enough electricity to the components but I need a professional's opinion on this. My build: - Proc.: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G - GPU: Radeon RX 580 Series 8GB VRAM - M.B.: MSI Motherboard X570-A PRO(X570/AM4/DDR4) -Corsair SSD Force MP300 NVMe 240GB -Corsair PSU CXM series 650 W 80+ Bronze -Corsair Desktop RAM Vengeance LPX 16GB Kit 3000MHz DDR4 -Apple 2TB HDD (Used for storage) -WD My Book 1230 USB Device 2TB (Used for storage) Operating System is on the NVMe, no overclocking. Drivers: For GPU: 23.20.832.0 For CPU: 10.0.18362.387

Not my pc but still trying to get an idea of what might be wrong. Heres what I know about this PC amd 7850 2gb sapphire card not overclocked. quad core amd processor not sure which windows 7 8gb 1333 ram When playing Archeage with directx 11 enabled, after an hour or so of gameplay, the game will freeze and about 1-2 min after that whole pc does and requires manual reboot. The obvious solution seemed like it was that game, and he disabled directx 11 and enabled 9. Boom good to go Now its doing it during GTAV . Same issue, and same fix. Why would enabling directx 9 fix this issue and why won't directx 11 work? Its a directx 11 compat card, and it should work. It does not bsod it just freezes. First the game then the whole pc. Any ideas? Thanks!

When I try to install the software for the k95 keyboard my PC freezes. I've tried the install multiple times, but the PC freezes every time so I have to restart the PC (nothing responds, not even ctrl+alt-del). I have already tried to reinstall windows, but the problem remains. Due note that I've had a similar problem before when trying to install another software. I know it's not a hardware related problem because I've got it up and running with my laptop. It might be a driver problem of some sort but i don't know what type of driver i'll have to install. Drivers are probably out of date as well

PC has been locking up and occasionally auto rebooting or BSOD'ing. Okay so I will list absolutely everything I know about my PC and it's issues. Everything I have tested and learned since this started happening. Things I've ruled out and things that it may be. *I have tested RAM, fine *I have looked in my startup folder, empty *replaced PSU, twice *brought it to friend's house 3 separate times and left it there for days each time, worked perfect there. Even with every piece of my setup including the extension cord I use at my house. *Swapped GPU's, same issues *CPU temps are usually low and are not causing the lockups * getting normal voltage readings on my motherboard software *All Bios and Drivers are 100% up to date * plugged PC in in almost every outlet in my house, all do the same. * Voltage and wattage does not dip or spike before, during or after a lockup as I checked with multi-meter and watt meter * Lockups NEVER happen when running games for awhile. * tends to lockup browsing the internet or shorty after starting up Steam. *Will Not lock up on safety mode or safety mode with networking * It can lockup using 30W or 150W, seems to not matter how much power I'm using. * keeping fans on low decreases the frequency of my lockups * occasional auto-reboots or BSOD's * Graphics drivers occasionally do not load following an auto reboot or BSOD, sometimes games uninstall as well * Seems to be the hotter the PC gets, the longer it will run until a crash. * DxDiag showed no problems with anything as I posted above. *Eventviewer does not show any critical or error events around the times of lockups *only differences between my friend's house where it works and my house where it does not are the ethernet cable, houses power and the environment itself. *tested PC without internet connection, still locked up. *Ran 2 different virus and malware scans, nothing wrong in that department. This is all I know, What else can possibly be causing it to lockup? anything. Throw anything it can be at me, weird things, unorthadox things, things that are almost unheard of. I need this fixed, I have been without a fully functional PC for too long. Let's please solve this now. I'm gonna miss the steam sale. I cannot let Gaben down!
