Yo hello I need some help :) I recently bought a Rx 6800xt and have the problem that my pc in some games not all randomly crashes and restarts. The windows error logs says Kernel error 41. It only happens in CS go I start a match and within 2 rounds it crashes or in escape from tarkov every hour or so. Other games like assassin's creed Valhalla are fine. (Seems like games with high FPS which are more CPU sided have problems?) Thermals are chilling at 60-70° so they're fine. What seems to be one of the triggers is when I tab out of a game and go to discord it often crashes. What I tried already: -upgrading/downgrading drivers -several windows error repairs -did a software sided power check -tried stock / oc / undervolt settings -disabled hardware acceleration of discord and chrome which I have open in the background -plugged my pc into a different socket -enabled and disabled various features in adrenaline -ran stress Test over extended period of time with no problem My build: -ryzen 3700x stock settings -msi x570 gaming edge WiFi -2x8gb cl 16 3200mhz ram -Corsair 750M PSU -rx 6800xt red devil -several ssds and M2 (unnecessary information but filling in anyways :D) So I think that was all I hope somebody has an idea.

Ok hello everyone, I have some kernel power issues with my homemade computer since ive made it (more or less 4 month ago), ive done a lot of unsuccessful research and test, and i just don't what to do but calling for help. Also sorry but I'm french so my English might be mediocre. First, my setup : MB : Gigabyte B450M DS3H CPU : AMD Rysen 5 3600 (stock cooler) GPU : AMD RX580 4GB VRAM de chez YESTON (supplied by 8+6 pins) (Buy used, but talk a lot with the guy and i trust him) PS (previous) : Seasonic S12 II 500W ATX 12V 80+ Bronze (buy used, but professional seller) PS (actual) : Intertech Argus RGB 750W RAM : Corsair Vengence LPX 2X8GB DDR4 3200 MHz SSD : Crucial 92 NVMexpress M.2 500Go (Windows installed here) HDD : Seagate Baracuda 1To No component have been overclocked all component stay relatively cool on all use (GPU max 75°, CPU max 80°, only when playing modded doom eternal) Next, the issue : The issue is a complete crash of the computer, displaying a black, grey or brown screen for several seconds with a freezed sound. Then the pc will shut down, then instantly reboot into the windows logging screen, without showing any loading sreen. No crash dump will be created, but a kernel_power 41 critical error report will be found. This happent only while playing heavy games, almost exclusively on total war Warhammer II (campaign map), but one time or two on other games like Doom Eternal, Doom 2016 or Prey. The crash do not shows up consistently, he can be away for a week and then shows up every hour on a total war campaign. There is no clear pattern on when it will shows up except : -this happent 1/2 time on auto save -this happent only on campaign map in total war -this happent only if the game is running in front page -this does not happent on lighter games -changing the graphics options does not matter What ive done so far (chronologically): -Checking the games integrity -Checkings my drivers/windows updates -Checking my hardware build -Disabling the fast boot option on windows -Reinstalling the majors drivers -Checking widows integrity with SFC -Reinstalling my games -Changing the Power supply (see setup) -Changing my case cooling for x3 arctic P12 -stop using a multiple outlet (i dont know if this is a English way to say it) -use another outlet in my room -stress the component with OCCT (every test for 1h except the "power" one that ive done for only 10 min because my CPU was getting to hot. This triggered no crash) -Pray the omnissiah with candles a some mechanicus ost wile covering myself with arduino cards So... I'm basically lost, cause you know i just a neophyte in hardware science, this is my first ever pc build and i do not have the money to buy new components for testing. And here i am asking for help !

This issue started occuring recently when if i play a game in fullscreen, it starts freezing , proceding to black screen(no input shown in monitors) and either it stays that way and have audio working , or the pc restarts. However, if i play games in fullscreen windowed, this issue doesnt occur. Before i post this i did the following: Reinstalled nvidia drivers trough DDU (safe-mode) Formatted windows Used older versions of Nvidia drivers Also, i had device manager on when this issue happened and the gpu had no warning signs or shown as disconnected Also used another GPU (gtx980) and with this gpu the issue never happened PC Specs: Ryzen 9 5900x 32gb ddr4 @ 3600mhz rtx 2060 Gigabyte GeForce® RTX 2060 OC V2 Asus rog x570-e Noctua dh15 Seasonic PRIME Ultra 750W

So I built a new computer in november of last year and I have had a problem with crahes in games ever since. Most of the games that are crashing first freezes and then quits to desktop with no error messege, and some freezes the whole pc and requires a reset from the button on the case. The game that is crashing most often and freezes the whole pc most often is battlefield 5. My specs: 9700k Corsair 150i aio 2080ti 32gb 2666 corsair vengence Prime z390-a 850w antec hcg psu What I have tried: I have removed all oc. Reinstalled graphics drivers with ddu. Tested the ram. Changed compatability settings for affected games and changed settings in the nvidia controllpanel. Even reinstalled Windows. Then I used msi afterburner to put a power limit on the gpu at 80% current, that seems to have made the problem less frequent but it also limits the performance. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem could be or what more I could try?

I have a constant problem when playing games like Black Ops 3/4 and GTA V mostly... First the screens go black but the sound is still on and after a few seconds the screens say no signal. The GPU nor the CPU are overclocked I even tried underclocking them to see if its the power consumption and nothing is overheating, while idle cpu is under 30C and the GPU is at 32C when its full load the temps on everything are under 60C. I saw that 2 of my cores on the CPU are Parked and I unparked them but its still happening Every suggestion would be helpful My Specs: GTX 960 Gainward 4GB FX 6300 PSU 500wats (older one, don't know the maker) <--------- Maybe the cause of the crashes SSHD FireCuda 2tb

Operating system win 10 pro 64-bit (insider program) CPU: i74770 3.40GHz. MoBo:ASROCKH81M-DGS R2.0(latest BIOS). Ram: 16GB. GPU: Msi GTX1070Ti Gaming. SSD: 1Tb Goldenfir. PSU: 600w Technimax. PC suddenly turns off [No error or anything just directly turns off] when using (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) "Extreme" option ,On Windows power options set to "Ultimate performance". First I disabled Turbo boost which delayed the problem by 1 sec. HWMonitor_x64:CPU Temps of "CPU(all cores+package)" and "GPU" never exceeded 70C°(Open case). PC will *not* turn off when (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) on "Basic" option and windows power option set to "Ultimate performance". PC will *occasionally* turn off when (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) on "Extreme" and Win power option set to "Power saver". By trial and error: I found that no "advanced option" in "Power saver" was changing much except: limiting "Processor power management" to 58%(max and min)=>which offered Stability and 0% crashes on repetitive and 2 Hr runs of (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) "extreme". On "advanced options" in "Power saver" on "PCI express" changing "Link state power management" doesn't make any difference. MSI gaming App was always set to OC mode. I kept watching the processor frequency while "min processor state" was on 58% and "max..." was on 65% and the (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) crashed immediately when the frequency jumped from 1.97GHz to 2.21Ghz.(58% to 65%) With that I found out that anything above 1.97GHz (58% on processor power management) while (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) is on "extreme" Turns off my pc.

Hello, For the past few months,my new gaming rig has suffered from constant lockups( screen freezes, sound stops, devices become useless, and a manual reset is required). This will be a very long post so be prepared. I am going to leave NOTHING out as I want to limit the amount of questions asked so we can get to the bottom of this can of worms. I live in Western NY, Warm summers and freeing winters lol. I built this PC in mid-August and it ran perfectly at my house until mid-September. At first, the lockups only happened once a week but became more and more frequent as the weeks went on. I came to a point where I could not use my PC whatsoever. I have tried EVERYTHING to find out what's wrong. I have swapped RAM out, Swapped GPU's as I have r9 270X's in Xfire. I have replaced the PSU twice. I now bought an 850W EVGA Supernova G2, top of the line PSU I guess. The ones I had before I was told were terrible ( LEPA 800W MaxBronze, Raidmax Vampire 800W Gold). I have ran Windows memory diagnosis to rule a RAM issue out. It found nothing wrong. The biggest clue I believe I found was this: I brought my PC along with every single piece of my setup to my buddy's house. I hooked everything up as I would at my house. The only things being different was the ethernet cable and the house's power itself. For almost a week, we ran my PC there, never turning it off, gaming, surfing the web and everything. We COULD NOT get it to lock up or do anything like it does at my house. This led me to believe that it was an issue with my houses power. Maybe my PC wasn't getting enough power or it wasn't getting clean power. Upon inspection, the outlet I was using was grounded ( as were the dozen other outlets about the house that I have tried) I am getting a steady wattage and voltage before during and after my PC locks up ( no spikes or dips). We also routed my PC it's own personal breaker, locked up. we turned off all breaker in the entire house so my PC was the only thing in the whole house on, locked up. I did the light bulb test, light bulb did not dim when the PC locked up. I even bought a Volt Regulator which did not help at all. Internet connection was something I thought could be the issue. I disconnected my PC from the internet as well as using a different ethernet than the one I had been using. Both of those trials led in lockups or blue screens which can occasionally happen but not nearly as often as lockups. I keep and run my PC in my basement as it is the only place I can get privacy and stay out of the family's way. The basement can get very cold. In the summer, it never gets warmer than 70*F or so and in the winter like right now, It can get as low as 45-50*F. Recently, I have tried very unorthodox troubleshooting. I put my PC on power saving mode and kept my case fans on the lowest setting. That night my PC did not lockup once. Normally I am not able to keep it on for 5 minutes let alone 5 hours or more! The next night however, I powered my PC on and suffered from one lockup when I started Steam but after resetting, It worked fine. The following night, I did get 3 lockups in a row when starting Steam and browsing the internet. Aggravated, I opened my PC up and unplugged my case fan on the side panel. " Why not?" I was willing to do anything. The lockups stopped after that and only happen once every time I turn on my computer. I do a manual reset and it will work until the next time I turn it on. Lockups tend to only happen on the internet or steam. Keep in mind that the connection itself has no bearing because it locked up without being connected as well. It seemed that if I managed to get a game going for awhile and avoid a lockup by luck, my PC will run fine. but I will get on chrome for a few hours after and eventually...I'll get a lockup. So, here's the question, can a PC's lockup from being too cold. upon startup, ASRock A-Tuning says that my CPU temp is around 25-27*C. I do not know how cold other components are though. I'd assume the GPU's would be cool as well. I do recall one time moving my PC to my room where it can be freezing at night. I gamed on it all night and it worked fine there until I put it to sleep and woke it up in the morning, It locked up immediately. This is just the last thing I think this issue could be. Well, tell me you're thoughts and may Gaben be with you all

I wasn't sure where to ask this question so I think I'll go ahead and ask it here. My PC has been getting some BSODs (blue screen of deaths) recently. They appear to happen when playing games in full screen. When they began to become more frequent, it was around the time Watch Dogs launched and it started to become more hot outside, and given that Watch Dogs is terribly optimized for the PC, I never really thought anything of it, as even playing the game on low settings would put my GPU under 100% load and make my GPU temp 84 degrees Celsius. However, I am beginning to think that maybe there is something wrong. The only other time my PC blue screened when not playing Watch Dogs in full screen, it was in the winter (~ 3 months ago) and I was playing BF4 fullscreen on Ultra. However, I had a heater on, and many applications open in the background. So I just thought that maybe it was heat that was the problem. But for 3 solid months of doing the same thing, minus the heater and the applications, I was able to run BF4 Ultra settings no problem. Absolutely no crashes at all. Just yesterday, however, I was playing Halo 2 in full screen, and I got a blue screen. This is when I began to wonder. I tried to discover a pattern. I'm pretty sure all of the times the PC has blue screened while playing Watch Dogs, it was in full screen. And if it wasn't in full screen/borderless, Speccy was open in the background (Speccy may have been open in the background while playing in full screen too so I calt Alt + Tab out of the game to check temps). I am 90% sure every single time my PC has crashed Speccy was open in the background. I have since uninstalled Speccy, and pretty much any other software that could have been triggering these blue screens. I uninstalled AI Suite (Some Asus motherboard software that shows me temps of the motherboard and everything connected to it), Speccy (as stated before), and Samsung Magician (for my SSD). I might be forgetting something and if I do I'll edit this post. I haven't had a blue screen since I have uninstalled all of those programs, but then again, I haven't really played any games since then. I played Halo 2 today for maybe 5 minutes, but that was it. I have ran a Furmark burn in test for ~ 15 minutes. My GPU temp leveled out at 83 degrees Celsius, sometimes reaching 84, but that was the highest. PC never crashed in those 15 minutes. My CPU temp was safe at about 50 - 55 degrees Celsius. I haven't ran any CPU stress tests, but I sincerely doubt that is the issue since all of the times my PC has crashed, I am pretty sure it was because of heat from the GPU and my CPU hasn't gotten that hot. And since it is just starting to get into summer here in east coast US, I'm pretty sure it is heat related. I also ran Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool and it detected no problems. Only thing I haven't done (other than a CPU stress test) is a hard disk error check but it prompts me to dismount the volume because Windows cannot run the error check while it is in use. I don't really want to mess around with dismounting any hard drive because I have my games and files on that HDD. I don't know if it is safe or not or if I'll lose all my data either. Any proposed solutions would be appreciated. I'll also attach a DxDiag .txt file in this post. My specs are in my signature if you need them. Thanks in advance. (And sorry mods/admins, I'm pretty sure I posted the OP in the wrong forum section. I accidentally posted in General Discussion but no one was there to help. I decided to move it here since I'll probably have more luck here. Again, sorry for the double post.) DxDiag.txt DxDiag.txt
