Hello everyone, here are some details for my planned build 1. Budget & Location I am living in Germany and want to build a PC with a budget of around 1600 EUR. 2. Aim My gaming experience has been mostly limited to playing Starcraft 2 until it became more stressful than enjoyable. At 55, I'm looking to explore the world of modern gaming, which seems to offer in some titles visually stunning experiences without the competitive edge of PvP shooters. Additionally, my professional work involves handling large data sets with millions of records through R and Pandas. Recently, I've ventured into machine learning for pattern recognition, but found my current setup lacking. I also engage in photography and print preparation, alongside occasional programming. 3. Monitors EIZO ColorEdge CS2740, good color is more important than FPS to me. 4. Peripherals No peripherals needed, only the box. 5. Why are you upgrading? I currently own a Dell XPS 15 9560, equipped with an i7-7700HQ processor, 32GB RAM, and an NVidia GeForce GTX 1050. On days when I'm working from home, I find myself spending upwards of 12 hours at my computer, often frustrated by its limitations. Eager to enrich my PC experience and delve into gaming, I've come to realize that my current setup only accommodates games with modest requirements. I'm intrigued by the immersive worlds offered by various game genres, whether it's Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur's Gate, God of War, or Against the Storm. 5. How about this? Here is what I have come up with so far. A computer store mentioned about it, that it is not balanced, don't know why? I am not sure about the chassis and the CPU cooling unit might not be compatible with the motherboard. I have chosen a stronger CPU and 32 RAM for the LM and data analysis work mentioned above. GPU Radeon RX 7800 XT CPU AMD Ryzen 9 7900X Motherboard MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI (I could use a Wifi / Bluetooth card instead, depends on the price) RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz CL32 CPU cooling be quiet! Shadow Rock 3 (not sure if this works without tweaking) Power supply be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W NVMe M.2 SSD: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB Chassis: be quiet! Silent Base 802, or Corsair 4000D Airflow schwarz 6. other requirements I have a strong aversion to RGB lighting. I prefer the PC to have a white or black color scheme, ensuring it blends into the darkness when I switch off the room's lights. Additionally, it's essential that the system operates as quietly as possible, without compromising its cooling efficiency. I am happy for every comment, don't sugar coat it, happy for human interaction. Cheers, n4n0b1t3

Budget (including currency): 400-700 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Streaming (Twitch, YouTube, etc etc), Streaming (services like Netflix, Prime, Pureflix to get my Bible man nostalgia fix) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I do wanna play at 1440p if possible, and I think due to my old CPU or Mobo, I'm bottlenecking games if I go to high 1080p or medium 1440p on some games (and then some games like Alan Wake 2 are borderline unplayable due to using an HDD), COD lags at anything that isn't 1080p low. I'm using my TV whenever my PC is in my room, or two old DVI monitors whenever fiance and best friend wanna play Diablo 3 (I have HDMI to DVI and it works well) (Currently out and about so if there's generic information it'll be updated when I'm home) Current CPU: Ryzen 2600 Current Ram Amount and speed: 32 GB 3200 MZH Mobo: A320M GPU: RX6600 8gb PSU: 800Watt modular80+gold (I forgot the exact one, will update when home) Storage: 500gb m.2, 2tb 5000rpm HDD I know for a fact I need a Mobo and CPU upgrade, potentially storage if I wanna play Alan Wake II on my PC instead of using my fiance's. I just don't know if I wanna remain AMD or switch to Intel, and if I need to upgrade my storage or just keep deleting games when done to make room for new ones when I play them. Any advice? Obviously I'm not going "haha upgrade for me!" I like to get suggestions from others and go from there. (it's how I built my first PC. Other than my case that was given to me, every part was purchased after my own research and suggestions from friends/family) Oh, I also am currently air cooled, I forgot which air cooler (I can find it when I'm home), should I keep being air cooled or no? (It really hasn't been a problem, I don't keep my side panel on, I'm more asking performance wise) I don't plan to overclock manually (except enabling xmp which is technically an overclock).

trading pc Trading PC that can support 8 monitors?
zionview posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): $2500 CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Trading( TradingView,ToS,Ninja Trader,TradeWorkStation(TWS)), 8 Monitors and very occasional Photo editing Hi When it comes to PC building i am noob, I currently have Lenovo Carbon X1 laptop with 2 external Monitor attached to it. During trading hours i have following applications that needs to be running. ThinkorSwinm,Tradework Station(TWS) ,TradingView, Discord and Chrome with atleast 4-5 tabs with watching live streaming. At the moment i cant have all of them open, it seems like memory and CPU is doing fine but GPU is getting killed to support two external monitors and start to crawl. So I am looking to build a new PC, at the moment i am only thinking of running 4 monitors with this PC, but i need PC to be capable of supporting 8 Monitors in future. So i want a graphics card that can support them(if not directly through the outputs from them , let me know how to expand them). Also all the programs i mentioned are memory hogs, I currently have 16Gb in the laptop and it usually runs at 90% ram used most the time. The budget doesnt include the monitors , the budget is purely for PC. Also please recommend backup Power supply invertor or the likes which can keep my system running atleast for like 30-60mins in case of power failure Thank you in Adance -
LTT TEAM, Budget (including currency): £600 Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: school work/ gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): My 9yr old is getting into gaming and his IPAD just isn’t cutting it, but the deal breaker is I want him to build it. I think that he will gain mass knowledge and in doing so have a greater respect for the machine and the parts they all play. I am tech savvy but I’ve been Apple for 15 years and haven’t played with pc for a very long time. any help would be great.

pc builds What price would be fair for my pc?

Hi guys, I'm quite new to the forum so tell me if I'm in the wrong section here or what not! My build is a 650W Antec hybrid PSU, I have 3 SSDs ( 120GB, 240GB and the recent added 1TB SSD) Crucial BX500, Ryzen 5 3600, 2070S and 16GB ram CorsVeng on a B450 Tomahawk Max. I am having trouble with having the SSD plugged in and my PC not booting at all - everything turns on such as fans and rgb -everything but no Display. Now that being said I recently bought a new SSD and plugged it on my PSU with new wires I got and a new Sata Data plug for the SSD (1TB), it was working for 2 weeks or 3 weeks no problem as I have installed 3 new games on it. Just the night before I updated my windows 13th of Oct and it reset my pc as normal - went to use it today no issues what's so ever. Then just this evening 14th (11:30PM) I started getting windows notifications popping in and out saying that my SSD (E:) that recently installed that was working no problem suddenly mentioning that it's a removable usb drive? It kept popping in and out so I restarted my pc; that was the first time it didn't boot then I tried again and it booted but my (E:) was no longer being detected, so once again I turned it off and then the 2nd time, 3rd time of trying to turn it on - it was just a black screen with the PC being on. So I tried to remove the SSD and check if it does turn on, it confirms it that my SSD won't allow my pc to boot at all. I am confused as this wasn't an issue at all prior to the update but I'm unsure if it had anything to do with windows update. Has anyone else had this issue and even better a solution for this? Apologies if I'm rambling I'm not the brightest with PCs. Thank you so much in advance. A.

Budget (including currency): Country: Philippines Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: PUBG, ToF, Valorant, League of legends, mid tier games, Web development. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Here's my build plan. Upgrading from i3 4170 with integrated graphics + generic PSU. 1080p 75hz is fine. Heya all! So I replaced my current parts in the partpicker list with the build I'm saving up for. Uh, I wouldn't include my budget since the only parts I'm able to buy atm is the graphics card, CPU and my PSU. Can I ask you guys how is it? Is it enough to play mid tier games with good FPS? Also, the one thing I'm worried about is the compatibility of xeon 1246 with my mobo so please tell me that it's compatible XD. Although I checked the socket already and its compatible, idk about the chipset. The reason I'm going for xeon 1246 is because it's cheaper than i7 4770/4790 and figured I'd just get it due to i7 performance for an i5 price. I'll also include my pc case, can the dual fan rx 570 fit in this? I've searched for it but can't find the model so no reference about the size inside, although I can measure it by myself if there's really no case model online. I'm sorry if it's a noob question, just haven't built a pc atleast once so don't have much experience with it and I want to be sure about the parts so there are no compatibility issues, please have mercy xd. Thank you!!!

Budget (including currency): 2250 +/- 500 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Heavy Gaming, VR, Crypto Mining (Monero/Tari) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I want to play games that anyone will throw at me from latest titles and VR. I have been researching a bit into crypto, so I would like to use the computer to mine when not in use. I am currently on a GTX 1060 (Gigabyte Aero 15 Laptop) from 2016 using my laptop, but I want to upgrade to a PC from being unplayable. I am a bit scared of water/liquid cooling for something of value, so I want air cooling preferred. Also, I want RGB to be incorporated in the build to match my Corsair peripherals below. Refresh rate and resolution… I am currently on a QHD 1ms 165 Hz, so I hope that is enough, I want to get a vertical monitor for the side. Would love some suggestions. No existing parts, but I was dabbling around on pcpartpicker and logical increments: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QFwsjZ Friends have told me to get: - Seasonic 1000W - Noctua DH 15 - Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL But, I am truly open to suggestions and any additional things I may need to build. I just started a new pc build, this is my first time building and I am very confused with what issues there are with the PC. When I first built the PC the VGA light would turn on, the RGB fan lights would turn on but they would not spin (All fans are not spinning - case fans, CPU cooler and GPU fans), and I have not been successful with getting a display on my monitor. I did some digging and found that the Bios update needed to be installed to my motherboard but after successfully updating the bios I continue to have the same issue. I even tried reseting the CMOS and doing the bios update again and still nothing. Every time I think I am getting close there's just another hurdle to get over and I am not sure what to do. I am considering sending back all of my parts and starting fresh but I am not sure. here are my specs: MSI gaming GeForce TX 3060 Ti TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR4 (2x16) Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750W Samsung 970 Evo plus 1TB Seagate Barracuda Compute 2TB Cooler master masterliquid LC240E MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk gaming motherboard AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 6-core

Since my current build will be 10 years old this April, I'm looking into building a new gaming pc. I live in Greece. The available budget at the moment is 800€ (but I can throw in about 100-150 more for better perfomance). The main purpose will be gaming and some light video/image editing (photoshop, Adobe lightroom and Illustrator and a few others). Some preferences about the build. A 3060 or 3060 ti or 3070 graphics card and not water cooled. And that's it. Ohh and the only thing I'm buying as far as peripherals are concerned, is a 144hz monitor (Resolution: 2560x1440). Thank you for your time.

Hello LTT community I hope everyone is fairing well and staying indoors and away from other people during this time in crisis. I live in the US and everyday it's getting a little bit worse here. Both my wife and I are restuarant workers. I am a bartender and she is a waitress and we have an 8 year old daughter. We both lost our jobs due to Covid. I am uncertain what the future holds and just trying to stay busy to keep my mind off of things. To stay busy I am trying to build my friend (who also lost his job) a gaming PC with all my old pc parts. I'm using an old Dell optiplex 9010 case from 2013, which I have modified to add a extra top and side fan. I figured THIS community would be the best community to ask. All the parts I have are old. For example the 2 GPUs I have are the Geforce 8800 gts and the nvidia GTX 640 1gb. I tested them and they can't really handle and moderish games. So I asking the community to help me out. Send me your tired, your old computer parts. The ones sitting on shelf collecting dust that you just couldn't throw away. Help me, help my buddy out, who is just sitting at home alone with nothing to do, but watch the world on the news freak out about Corona.

Hello everyone, Grizzlykin over here First post on the forum, and it's because I'm wondering If I should upgrade everything or if can restrain myself to only a graphic card and wait a bit longer to upgrade the rest. The situation is my main pc is in dire need of an upgrade, my CPU wasn't the worst when I bough it but the whole system is already 5 years old. Other problem it's in my parents home in France and I'm working in poland, so I will need to get it shipped or move it myself later. The current rig is : CPU : Intel I7 - 6700, it's an 1151 socket GPU : MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G RAM : Corsair Vengeance LFX DDR4 2133 16gb MOB : MSI B 150 gaming m3 HDD : 1tb Western Digital Black + some old 500gb disk from my father's old mac I will change that one. SSD : 246gb Sata ssd but I can't remember what it was, a Kingston I think, no real need to change that one. Case : Thermaltake Versa H23, it's good enough for what I could want to do with it, don't think it needs an upgrade really (you can prove me wrong). Power Suply: LDLC QS 650+ Quality Select80 Gold+ (a french brand), and it's been serving me ok. Unless I need to upgrade it I would much rather not buy a new one. So that's the system I've been thinking of upgrading everything for a budget kinda build 800 ish euro or simply upgrading the GPU for now if the CPU is not gonna bottleneck me too hard. I'm mostly aiming for some 1080 high frame rate/high details graphism, my two monitor are 1080p one of them being a 120hz refresh rate. If i can take advantage of that, that would be great. Game I play the most are LoL, Rocket League, and some overwatch from time to time. The Witcher 3 I have yet to play is on the menu, cyberpunk is in the visor, and I do play some dirt Rally every so often. Graphic card wise I was thinking probably Nvdia 2060 super probably ? Or if I don't have to change the whole system probably push up to 2070 super maybe? So it last me longer. One thing for sure IF i'm not rebuilding the whole system i'm probably gonna buy a new cooler for the CPU because I'm rocking the base intel one and if I do rebuild this pc I will need to put the high performance profile for the memory I have not been unsing until now, and I'm pretty sure that's gonna make the damn cpu overeat with the base cooler. What are your though and opinon about this whole mess ? Any Idea? Any recomendation? Be my guest I'm all ears (or eyes in that case). Thanks in advance everyone Grizzlykin

Should I build a pc, and help finding the parts
footman099 posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Should I build a pc, and help finding the parts? So in this current climate lots of uncertainy has been circling around everywhere. Businesses are closed shipping has been reduced and countries have closed borders. However, my question is whether or not it is "Worth" buying a pc? Are parts more expensive because of reduced stock? Will shipping be more expensive because of it? I was doing a little digging to see what I could find because I wanted to build a pc with the stimulus check the government is giving to people ($2000). I basically want a pc that can game and also be pretty good at video editing as well. I was hoping to spend about $1400-$1500 on parts (have the rest for Peripherals) and have some saved over. This is what the prices were for the parts (all on Newegg.ca) Ryzen 7 3700x for $438 Ryzen 5 3600 for $282 or Ryzen 5 3600x $309 MSI Geforce RTX 2070 $700 or Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2070 super $709 MSI Radeon RX 5600 XT $528 or Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2060 super $579 or Gigabyte Geforce RTX 2060 $500. My questions would be should I go with a Ryzen 7 or 5? I would have to budge the remaining parts more if I opt for the 7, is it worth? also Don't really know what the best graphics cards are in the market right now (As indicated by the more extensive list) so any suggestions for that would be good. I heard the b450 Tomohawk MoBo is highy rated at the moment, also getting a kit of 16gb of ram will cost around $100 is that enough? I suppose you can always upgrade in the future, want to also get ssd for OS and HDD because I will be needing to save videos. Anyway enough of the ramble, any part suggestions would be much appreciated (Peripherals too) -
Hi, I'm a first-year student in architecture, and I'm looking for a PC that can handles game really well while I can use it as an workstation that allows me to do video editing, rendering with many other kinds of software such as Rhino 3D. What are the recommended computer components? I have a budget of $3000, (been saving up for years), and are looking forward to have a new computer by the late 2020.

Hey all, my system is pretty solidly in the mid-tier category with an R5 1500x with a stock cooler, 8 gigs of single channel 2400 memory, and a used RX 480 but I was looking at what to upgrade next. I play various videogames ranging from JustCause 3 to Minecraft and do (amateur) video editing and music notation. I was thinking ram would be a solid choice because I can upgrade to dual channel and then move onto Zen 3 when that comes out but I've also considered grabbing a used 1070/1080 instead of the ram upgrade. I'm not completely sure which will improve my performance more atm. (full specs should be in the signature btw)

I have bougth all the part I want to upgrade on my PC. I have bougth a new gpu, a new cpu, 1 ram stick and a new motherboard. All I have to do is put them on my PC or is there anything else?

Ok so I'm building a computer for my friend who is an architect and I am just wondering about the processing in CAD software. Is it mainly CPU or GPU bound. I'm just thinking about how to balance the performance.

Hi everyone, I'm building a game pc and I have chosen all the components. Now I need someone to give me advise on the build. I want to know if some components will bottleneck each other and if everything fit each other. I'm planning on playing games like Overwatch, Black Desert Online and the Witcher 3. How much fps do you think I will get in these games? (on max settings) I will probably play it on 1080p. My build: CPU: Intel core i5 7600K CPU cooler: cryorig r1 universal Motherboard: Asus ROG strix Z270F RAM: Corsair vengeance lpx (3200MHz) 2 stick from 8GB SSD: samsung evo 960 500GB (pci m.2) HDD: WD blue edition 1TB GPU: Asus ROG strix gtx 1060 OC 6GB PSU: Corsair RM650x OS: windows 10 pro 64-bit Thanks in advance!

Hi i'm a gamer looking into building a pc I want to play League Of Legends and Overwatch at a pretty decent framerate My budget is around 700-800 including Windows. I will appreciate it anybody can help me start a build on pccartpicker.

I have a budget of £400-£450 and i want to build a home office PC for excel, emails web browsing etc. I thought an i3, maybe skylake, would be best but obviously new kabylake pentiums have just been released and other office builds i have looked at seem to include these and some seem to be cheaper than older i3s and with better performance. I'd rather not stretch my budget too much so i'd like to stay as close to £400 as possible, my budget also includes Windows 10 and a Bluetooth dangle/card that i can use with my mouse and keyboard. An SSD would be nice for boot speeds and loading times but storage space and budget is my priority - i was originally looking at a WD blue 1TB. I also won't need a disk drive as i can take this out of my old system. does anyone have any recommendations for parts or a full parts list i can use?

Hey guys im about to build a pc. Its my first can you teach me what to do though? I just want to play casually a way to kill time and enjoy with other people in the pcmr nothing overkill or anyhow. My internet speed is only 3-5mbps what can you recommend from someone in console wanting to switch to pc because I'm sick of tired of the restrictions we get on console. (Btw the reasons I want to switch to pc is arma 3 and make visuals great again for gta 5) Also I found a good deal of a system unit with 8gb ram and an 80+ psu with an i5-3470 for $298 should I get that? Back to the topic onhand, Hope you guys can make me a build that will satisfy me and performs better than console best bang for the buck build that is not too overkill.. I'm just unsure of what I want in gaming... so I just came to you guys to make me a build that is satisfactory... :). I'm 14 btw.

Hello my friend and I are both planning on building gaming PCs this year and I have a idea and wondered if it could be improved. (My first want 1080p wants to get into PC gaming but not spend that much money, while I want 1080p high 60fps). My friend's build: Ryzen 3 1200 £98 Asrock AB350M-HDV £61.19 Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2666 £66.24 WD Blue 1TB £39.95 Palit GTX 1050Ti Storm X £128.99 Bitfenix Nova £26.40 Be Quiet System Power 8 400w 80+ £39.97 Total £460.74 Is this PC good enough and what should be improved if not he also wants a duo monitor setup to have YouTube or internet open on his second screen, would he need to upgrade his processor for this? He likes to save money but will go up to £600 and doesn't care for looks. My Build: Ryzen 3 1200 or 5 1400 £98/£143.99 Gigabyte K5 £147 Gigabyte GV-RX580AORUS-4GD £240 Corsair Vengeance 8gb 2666 £66.24 WD Blue 1TB £39.95 Phanteks p400 £55 Be Quiet Pure Power 10 CM 500W 80+ Silver Certified Semi-Modular £65.99 Total £712.18/£758.17 I know the Motherboard is overkill but I love the way it looks and to me looks are a major part in what I decide to pick (dislike red and black builds hence orange and black) so any improvements for this? I plan just to game and I will pick up a Be Quiet Cooler down the line as well as another 8gb. I really want to keep it below £800

The motherboard I'm purchasing is the MSI Z170A GAMING M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/Z170A-GAMING-M3.html#hero-overview). The graphics card that I have considered is the GTX 980Ti or the GTX 1080. I already have the answers to the graphics cards so I don't care about that. I've heard that some modern motherboards have dedicated GPU's and my question is does the MSI Z170A Motherboard have a dedicated GPU. I am no expert, as a matter of fact I have never built a PC in my life. The CPU I'm buying is the Intel Core i5-6600K. As I have said before, I won't game until I get a Graphics card. Would my computer be able to work with regular browsing and internet viewing. Would this motherboard work?
