Will LinusTechTips be attending Pax South? I would really like to meet them there or something.
-
So yeah, I got mugged. They stole 600 dollars worth of my stuff including my money I got from selling my computer, My new Nintendo Switch, and my wallet. But besides that the community has been awesome. I just wanted to thank everyone including Luke because he was so nice to me I met him at the Intel booth.

So.... I'm going to PAX West 2016!! What does the LTT community want to see there?! It would be awesome to meet some forum members there, too! @LinusTech and crew, are you at PAX West for the entire long weekend? The big question is, should I bring a banana for scale?

Our team attended PAX East once again this year, and we are excited to be bringing you guys the best PAX East show coverage on YouTube over the next three days. But of course, our team wouldn't be able to attend without our generous sponsors, who we want to say a quick thank-you to here! Our first sponsor this year is Logitech G. Everyone here should be very familiar with their awesome line-up of keyboards, mice, headsets, and other peripherals, but if not make sure you check them out at this link! And take a look at the #GreatWallofLogitechG that they were showing off at PAX this year - pretty darn awesome. And our second sponsor at the show is Discord - which is a new sponsor, by the way, so make sure you give them some love over on their Twitter for working with us at the show this year. They're the all-in-one voice and text chat program that's free, secure, and works on both your desktop and phone. You can even set up your own chat servers for free! Long story short, they're f***ing awesome, and you should definitely download Discord to try for yourself at this link. Thanks once again to our awesome sponsors this year, and thanks to all of you for watching and supporting the content!!

PAX Prime has come and gone, but we have one more awesome booth to show off... And that is the MSI booth! Featuring both their MSI Masters Gaming Arena grand finals and some brand spankin' new products. If you're interested in checking out ALL of the results from their Gaming Arena grand finals, head over to this page to see the brackets and (hopefully) the VODs, and check out MSI's own forum for a bit more "behind the scenes." And if you're interested in the Nightblade MI or the gaming all-in-one featured in this video, you can get the full info on them below. Nightblade MI Gaming24 2GE 4K Thanks all!

Luke breaks down his top 5 from the show this year! This is the first time we've tried a "top 5 experiences" video like this, so let me know down below - did you enjoy it? Would you watch another one from a different show? Excited to hear your feedback

So I'm 17, and am looking at flying down (from Toronto) to PAX East in April with a friend (also 17). Right now, everything is good and almost set in stone except for one problem. The hotel room. You can't rent a room unless you're 18, correct? Since that's the age of majority, I would think so. But I wouldn't be turning 18 until June. Is there any way around this or am I screwed?

Without them it would be prohibitively expensive for us to come to the show and bring you guys this content, so I'd like to express my sincere gratitude towards our sponsors because they (and you) make it possible for us to keep doing what we love to do, which is arguably one of the coolest jobs in the world. All three of these companies have been great partners and asked for pretty much nothing other than mentions in our videos, which gives us the freedom to create the content we feel you guys will enjoy. Huge thanks again to our three sponsors :') Our title sponsor for PAX Prime 2015 is HyperX! They are now long-time supporters of our event coverage, and we couldn't be happier to have them on board. Make sure you check out their Cloud II headsets and subscribe to their YouTube channel! Our second sponsor is Corsair, another long-time supporter of our content. They have tons of new peripheral offerings, so be sure to check out our coverage on those products here at the show. And last but certainly not least is the always awesome ASUS. Take a look at all of their Z170-based products here. Thanks once again for supporting our content!

So back in October I bought 3 three day passes to PAXEast 2014 and booked my hotel. Now the time comes when people have to start paying their dues. Low and behold, my buddy decided he didn't want to go anymore. So here I am, with 3 three day passes and only my brother and I are going. I was thinking about putting it up on eBay, but I don't trust them and I'm sure they won't trust me. So, anyone want a 3 day pass to PAXEast 2014? t.co/ldz4zQ0TU1 Here's some proof on my twitter feed. Obviously I'd need to recoup my losses with the ticket and the hotel, so I'm asking $150. Mods, if this is against the rules, take it on down. Please lock the thread. I apologize.

Is anyone going to PAXEast? I'll be there all three days. What are you looking forward to playing on the floor? Any panels you're hoping to see? Personally, I'll be going to the RoosterTeeth panel and hopefully the GiantBomb panel.

Hello everyone this is my first post in this section so there my be some errors in my display of this. Also I am currently writing and viewing this on a tablet so I don't know how this will turn out on desktop versions of this site. So I was watching one of Logan's PAX videos and one of the representatives there gave us an interesting tease at what could be coming with new Aorus laptops (I'm assuming he meant the X7). What he mentioned was that a new Aorus laptop will be coming out with a 4K display which I think is quite a good idea since scaling to 1080p for gaming would be linear and you would still have the high resolution of the 4K display for reading and productivity work. I would also like to mention that in one of Newegg's PAX videos that a Gigabyte representative also stated that the Aorus X7 will be getting an update to the GTX 800m series (I'm hoping for dual Maxwell 860s) Logan's video: Gigabyte Laptops & Brix Barebones: Anyway that's all. Please let me know how I did in my post as I am open to constructive criticism. llama

I actually managed to get tickets for the whole event, just wondering who else is going, and what you are most looking forward to ?

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED INTRODUCTION Holy crap it's that time again! PAX Prime is coming and Intel's gearing up for the show by sponsoring us to be at the show and also... apparently giving away TWO gaming systems. One of them is a Potenza gaming desktop from Maingear and the other is a Valkyrie gaming notebook from iBuyPower. I do have a bit of bad news, however. Because this is a PAX Prime promotional giveaway, eligibility is limited to Canadians (sorry Quebec, not you guys) and residents of the 50 US states. With that out of the way... HUGE thanks to Intel for making this giveaway possible. I'm especially thrilled that out of the two systems that are being given away for PAX Prime one of them is being given to us for LTT forum members only! How cool is that!!?? Today at PAX Prime Corsair announced at their booth a RGB version of the K65 to match their already anticipated K70 and K95. While the announcement will surely be exciting for some fans it isn't exaclty something unexpected, The keyboards are promised to drop soon so the wait will finally be over. P.S. I'm the host so any feedback will be gladly accepted!

PCIe-based SSDs with new controller interface coming soon from Intel NVM Express, NVMe, or Non-Volatile Memory Host Controller Interface Specification (NVMHCI), is a specification for accessing solid-state drives (SSDs) attached through the PCI Express (PCIe) bus. NVMe offers a number of performance improvements, such as lower latency, over the old AHCI standard, and is designed for both SATA Express drives as well as SSDs directly connected to a PCIe slot. Intel showed off a prototype NVMe/PCIe SSD drive at PAX East 2015 in Boston. Details were limited, but judging by a countdown clock on an Intel marketing site, more information about the product will be available at the beginning of April.
