Hey guys, just built a system on partpicker. I already bought the motherboard, and I need a decent psu for the system. I think I found it, but then partpicker noted this: The Asus ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard has an additional 4-pin ATX power connector but the be quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply does not. This connector is used to supply additional 12V current to the motherboard. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it. I am not planning to overclock, nor am I concerned about the gpu power usage. Should I be worried? What psu should I swap it to in the same price and wattrange. Thanks!

Budget (including currency): $AUD 3500 (Not bound by budget but want to stick to a mid to high end build) Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for gaming (RPGs) on 1440p, might use time to time for 3D modelling but not a priority. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/rifat/saved/j2CYdC I'm building a new PC after 7 years, seems like it has become much harder with way more options. Looking forward to learn a few new things here Notes: - X570 instead of B550 because I wanted more M2 slots and it seemed the price difference isn't significant. - I already have a monitor (MSI Optix G272 27.0"), graphics card (EVGA FTW3 ULTRA RTX 3080 10GB LHR), and sound card (Creative Labs Sound Blaster Zx)

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ImAres/saved/MtH3wP 1. Budget & Location $2,000 USD ($1,500 for the rig itself, the remaining $500 on everything else) 2. Aim The computer will be mainly used for gaming, I’d like to be able to run more competitive shooters (such as Overwatch and Valorant) at high refresh rates, and 1080p, however also be able to play more demanding games such as Rust or Elden Ring at medium-high graphics with a fairly steady frame rate. So all in all, a solid PC for most games at a nice refresh rate. 3. Monitors I plan to start by using one, 240hz, 1920x1080p monitor, and upgrading to dual monitors (likely a 144hz) when I have more money. 4. Peripherals I will be purchasing peripherals, a G403 Hero for the mouse, and the HyperX Alloy Origins Core 5. Why are you upgrading? Actually this will be my first PC in general! I’m coming from console because console gaming really just isn’t doing it for me, I’ve done a lot of research on building your own system, and I firmly believe I can do it. P.S: I apologize for any ignorance in advance!

Hello i have a iMac for a couple years but its completely horrible can't have more then one thing open at a time. I am looking to make a change to PC but having a problem on building it. I am using pcpartpicker.com to put everything together. Just don't know what in the world is more important than the other (not that much of an IT guy). Im looking to spend around 1500-2000 into the pc build. If anyone can help me i would really appreciate it. Thank you very much

Building a PC for my brother, who has a budget of around £600 right now. He wants the system primarily as an upgrade from his laptop for hobby game creation in Unreal Engine, plus a few games such as Anno and Tomb Raider (1080p). He was pretty set on an i7, so also considering second-hand options, although doubt that it's needed for his use-cases? Unfortunately he needs it fairly short notice, so not able to wait for Ryzen 5 launch. Upgrade paths are double the memory, and potential larger hdd storage add-on. Case is just something cheap and not fixed. Basic partpicker: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ZPZLKZ Just wanted to check people's thoughts on this build. It's been a while since I've built (2012), and normally a little higher price range. Edit: Fixed Graphics card to something in-stock

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hTwb7h I'm trying to come up with a "budget" workstation. This will be used with the stock Intel-cooler and integrated graphics. Its use case will mainly be Visual Basic and browsing. Some photo editing. Thoughts on choosing the i5-7600? I obviously won't go with the k-series, but could I get away with saving a few bucks and use a Pentium (yet still have a somewhat smooth 60hz experience on the desktop aswell as in a browser)?

So i'm a new builder with little to no experience. I've had experience with replacing and adding new ram, GPU, hard-drives and cleaning parts with compressed air but that is about it. I've never attempted to build a computer from scratch, especially with the experiences I've had recently. I'm looking to get myself a new gaming PC, capable of running VR in the near future when i can afford a Oculus Rift after experiencing it for the first time on a Playstation 4. Since my current PC is beginning to become outdated, i thought now would be a good time after saving up around $1000AUD. The reason why i'm afraid is that my job isn't too well paying, and if i make a mistake such as mishandling a part, it'll be a long while before i can afford another part or multiple. I've looked at most of my options and tried to best with the skills I've accumulated over the years to make this list of compatible parts. Note - the prices aren't really exact on how much i'm looking to get the parts for, I've found other sources that aren't listed on the part picker site which are cheaper and come bundled with games. The Storage, Power Supply and WiFi-Adapter are coming from my current PC since they still work and function normally. Hello guys, so i have my build down there, i already buyed some stuff, i just need to get the procesor and the motherboard from all that. What do you say? its a nice build? I will only use it for streaming, video edditing and gaming, with only overclocking the CPU to max 4.2/4.3. How do you think will perform? Should i change the motherboard and go for the Crosshair Hero VIII? I don't have in plan to overclock, only if i can with a easy way , to get 4.2/4.3, atleast. And i buyed the msi rtx 2080 duke OC, cuz it was at a sale. This is my first PC build, and I plan on using it for gaming primarily and editing also. I'm planning to build a PC for gaming/editing/programming... I am living in the Philippines, so some parts are not available. These are the parts that I have chosen: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/LhzXdC This is my first PC so I really want something that could last me at least a couple of years for playing games at decent frame rates with decent graphical settings. I may not be doing some overclocking with this build though. I am not quite sure for some parts of this build, specifically the mobo, PSU and the cooler (if I even need it). Another question I have is: Is my video card overkill? Thanks for any suggestions and comments Oh and a sidenote.. Can I use this setup for triple surround setup.. not necessarily for surround gaming
-
This is the first build I've thought seriously about. I'd like the budget of the pc to stay below £500 ($800), and preferably for it to stay on the nVidia/intel side of things, if you guys can suggest anything that would make it cheaper than it is now, that'd be great. I'd like this computer to be a good all rounder, as I'll be using this for mild gaming and quite a lot of office work, school stuff etc. Link - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/6YWY23 Cheers Guys.

So, I've just got my first part time job and being the kind of person i am i'm planning on spending the first couple months of my pay on a new gaming pc because... well, why not. So i come with a challenge for you. Put together the best system you can for Around £2000 - Max £2,500 (And i would like it to be from UK suppliers) the best system for sheer gaming performance that you can. I would also like to allow around £300 for a keyboard, mouse, mic, headphones, mousepad etc... I would prefer non Razer products (thanks). This is the MONITOR i have chosen but if you think you have a better one for the same price <£200 feel free to recommend it. My prefered colour sceme for the build is Ice white, I'm thinking a mix between black&white.. Braided cables, case lighting the whole lot. Thanks for reading ~ Harry

Could anyone take a look at this build? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HNC8wP Is there any upgrades or something that isn't necessary?
