pcparts building pc with a friend, want opinions
KMGpowerman posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
I recently made a parts list for my friend, and I want to know what I can tweak/change in this list to optimize it for the gaming and video editing he is planning on doing. Is there anyway I can change this list while staying within his $1,600 USD budget. (It only says $800 because some parts aren't in stock) Here's the link: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor CPU Cooler Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2 65.59 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $79.99 @ Walmart Motherboard MSI MAG B550M MORTAR WIFI Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $169.99 @ Newegg Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $104.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital Blue SN550 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $59.99 @ Amazon Storage Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $52.99 @ Adorama Video Card EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB XC GAMING Video Card Case Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini ATX Mid Tower Case $119.99 @ Newegg Power Supply Corsair SF 600 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply $109.99 @ Newegg Monitor MSI Optix G271 27.0" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor $176.50 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $874.43 Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-04-09 19:55 EDT-0400 -

Hello the PC community! I'm looking to build a White gaming pc, that hopefully can run minecraft with shaders. Hopefully. Jokes aside, I expect to play a lot of games on this pc. Since my hand-my-down old Dell laptop is starting to show its age, I want to build a white gaming rig. I have done very extensive research, and I created this part list: PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NLwb7X CPU: Intel Core i7-11700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor ($393.95 @ Amazon) CPU Cooler: Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($199.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI ATX LGA1200 Motherboard ($311.48 @ Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory ($104.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($181.03 @ Amazon) Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.95 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.95 @ Newegg) Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 3070 8 GB STRIX OC Video Card ($1161.62) Case: Corsair iCUE 5000X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case ($189.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Asus ROG Strix 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($189.99 @ ASUS) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit ($139.88 @ Other World Computing) Total: $2972.82 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2021-09-12 I am confident that this build will be amazing, but before I buy it and build it, I need your opinion and recommendations on it. Just to make sure, because this is my first PC build. Notes: I am waiting for Intel 12th Generation, so the i7 is just for context and I will maybe change the parts because my budget is, well, less than 2972.82$. Thanks in advance!

So i'm a new builder with little to no experience. I've had experience with replacing and adding new ram, GPU, hard-drives and cleaning parts with compressed air but that is about it. I've never attempted to build a computer from scratch, especially with the experiences I've had recently. I'm looking to get myself a new gaming PC, capable of running VR in the near future when i can afford a Oculus Rift after experiencing it for the first time on a Playstation 4. Since my current PC is beginning to become outdated, i thought now would be a good time after saving up around $1000AUD. The reason why i'm afraid is that my job isn't too well paying, and if i make a mistake such as mishandling a part, it'll be a long while before i can afford another part or multiple. I've looked at most of my options and tried to best with the skills I've accumulated over the years to make this list of compatible parts. Note - the prices aren't really exact on how much i'm looking to get the parts for, I've found other sources that aren't listed on the part picker site which are cheaper and come bundled with games. The Storage, Power Supply and WiFi-Adapter are coming from my current PC since they still work and function normally. Hi, So far this forum has been very helpful in guiding me in choosing the parts for my first PC build! It's a budget build which I'm planning to upgrade in the future (more RAM + graphics card). BUT aside from adding more RAM/Graphics card, are there any changes anyone recommends making to this part list? Likewise, if anyone spots an incompatible part, please let me know https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BobThePCBuilder25/saved/#view=BTCZf7 Bare in mind: BUDGET not for high intensive gaming but should play games to an average level.

Hello all, I was recently putting together a build list. I am going to be using this computer primarily for gaming. (though I may get into video editing and 3D modelling later) This build was meant to be flexible for upgrades in the future, so feel free to tell me if I did a good job or not. I’m using one monitor as of now, but I will probably still use my current monitor after getting a new one, as I feel like dual monitors would fit my needs. As seen on the part list, I kind of want to go all out, but if there are better ones for around the same price range please let me know. The main reason I want to upgrade is to play higher end games. I am getting tired of playing the same old games, over and over again, so I would like something new. I already have all of the peripherals, and I just need the computer itself. One last thing, I already have the GPU and the PSU, but the PSU model wasn’t available on PCPartPicker, so I just used one that was quite similar. Thanks! Hi Everyone, I have been watching Linus's videos for sometime now, and right now I'm thinking to build my first gaming rig. Since I have humble experience in the parts and building I wanted to double check my part list with this great community and hopefully, get some feedback. While picking the parts I kept in mind the ability to upgrade in the future (adding another GPU and more RAM), also, I was trying to keep the price range around $1000 (-/+ 250). Please check out my list and let me know what are your thoughts. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bz88sY Thanks in advance everyone.
