I need some help with my computer (Windows 11). Discord, games (The Finals, Overwatch) crash instantly on launch or after a few minutes, and sometimes browser tabs crash but not often. I've found a workaround for Discord. It works fine in the Edge browser, but crashes on Firefox after some time, or the microphone disconnects. Here's what I've tried so far: updated the motherboard BIOS to the newest version, ran Memtest86 (passed), restored BIOS to default settings, disabled XMP, fully uninstalled and reinstalled all crashing applications, fully uninstalled and reinstalled GPU drivers and audio drivers, updated Windows, also side note ran Furmark and Cinebench without system crashes. The system is not overheating, temps are fine. Internet is fine, plugged into ethernet. Specs: Intel Core i9-14900K 3.2 GHz 24-Core Processor Asus ROG STRIX B760-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX LGA1700 Motherboard Corsair Vengeance 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6600 CL32 Memory (CMK64GX5M2B6600C32) MSI VENTUS 3X OC GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16 GB Video Card. My ping is suddenly higher specifically on overwatch’s eu server. About 2 weeks ago I would get about 200-230 ping but now it’s at a constant 300ms. Nothing has changed on my end, same devices, same modem, router and isp. I could only imagine the isp has changed their route to the eu server. One thing to note is that I did have this issue about a month ago, but it seemed to be fixed once I factory reset my router. This time though, I’ve restarted, reset every network device I have but nothing improved my ping. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? As this has happened before once and it was resolved as previously mentioned. edit: forgot to mention that my ping in every other regional server on blizzard has the same latency as always. -
Hey all. I was wondering if anyone could diagnose what is causing my PC to have extreme lag spikes? It started happening about a month ago and I have had this PC setup for years without any troubles. Overwatch is the worst, but all games have very noticeable lag spikes. I have lag that freezes my PC for seconds at a time, it is horrendous when I first start playing but gradually gets better and better. For example in Overwatch, I'll get these extreme lag spikes for about 30ish minutes of gameplay. After that, it'll be as smooth as butter. I have attached an example of the lag I experience below (and in fact I think it was very tame in this example compared to usual): My specs: GPU: GTX 1070 CPU: i7 4790k RAM: 16GB 2133MHz Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Ranger PSU: EVGA Super Nova NEX750B 750W Resolution: 2560*1440p Thanks for any help! PS: I do not believe it is a SSD/hard drive problem as I installed Overwatch on 3 of my drives and all of them had this result. -
Hello Guys, i'm new to the forum and only created this account to try figuring out if the behaviour of my Vega 56 is as expected. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 1600x with 2667MHz dual-channel RAM at CL14. The RAM would theoretically do higher clocks but I found that the lower latency improved frametimes. My Vega is undervolted to 950mV and set to 1520MHz. The 2nd powerstate however is set to about 1200MHz. Changing the powerstates to identical clocks leads to freezing and crashing of the driver. I tried this to force higher clockspeeds in Overwatch since my gpu sits around 40-60% usage at 1080p 144Hz. Temps peak at 55°C and CPU-usage at 50-65%. GPU-clocks sit at power state 2, roughly 1200MHz, which is less than the silicon should be capable of and also leads to a harsh performance hit in Fur-Mark when applied manually. In benchmarks at 1080p the usage is at 100% and hits the highest set clockspeeds. When I start the game I can hit on average 240-270 FPS with frametimes around 4-5ms. However after some time the frames start dropping down to 200 FPS to as low as 100 FPS with a very noticeable increase of frametimes. Locking FPS to 200 and 180 shows the same behaviour with lower GPU-usage. Now rendering at 150% of the resolution leads to higher usage, but also shows drops after some playtime. Therefore I figured something has to be wrong about my PC that limits it in some way. Maybe someone with a Vega or similar experiences can help me. Also excuse any spelling/grammatical mistakes, I'm a non-native speaker.

I recently bought a 144hz monitor so I could play Overwatch at 144fps as I came from a 60hz monitor with really bad screen tearing, despite all low settings and low resource usage my game without an fps runs around 160+ but when I go into teamfights my FPS drop all the way down to 100 and just barely stay at 144fps. I hav everything set to low/off and my rendering scale set at 75% but I still get constant frame drops. My specs are a 7th gen Intel Core i5-7500 @ 3.40ghz, 16GB of DDR3 ram running at 2400mhz, 1050ti, 1tb hdd, 120gb ssd boot drive and a 240gb ssd where overwatch is downloaded on. Is there something I can mess with to get even more FPS? I have taken advice of other forums where they say to turn off game DVR in the windows settings and such but none of them seem to help out.

Hi, I recently purchased a RTX 3080 and was disappointed by the average FPS I was getting in game. (Overwatch) The reason for the purchase was to get constant 400fps in game or at least constant 300+ for my high refresh rate monitor. I anticipated that it would be super easy to get these numbers with my system but was not able to achieve those numbers. System info: X570 ASUS TUF Gaming Motherboard Ryzen 3800x Overclocked to 4.45Ghz (stable) MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3080 16GB of Samsung B die ram 3800Mhz Corsair CX750M Power supply ASUS TUF 1080p 280hz monitor I get a constant 400 max fps in the training room but in an actual game I get around 200-300 on average even with low settings. It sometimes dip down to 140-180 fps. And the gpu usage sits around only 30-35%. The average fps count is very similar even in Ultra settings as well but the gpu usage jumps to about 55-60% range. When doing a synthetic gpu benchmark I reach 100% GPU load easily. Is this just the game lacking optimization for the new RTX 3000 series? or the nvidia driver not optimized for overwatch well enough? I’m pretty sure nvidia will newly optimize overwatch again when overwatch 2 hits the market but I am looking for a fix before that. Things I have tried that did not work: Optimizing 3d settings in Nvidia control panel to Maximum performance. Setting Windows power management to Maximum performance. Disabling / Enabling G sync Nvidia reflex on / off Nvidia V sync off / fast Fresh installing Windows 10 DDU nvidia driver and reinstalling it in safe mode. Overclocking gpu / stock On a side note, During full load, stressing both cpu and gpu at the same time, the max power draw is about 500-550w range. So it is not a insufficient power issue. Is this truly a CPU bottleneck at 1080p? It is a Ryzen 3800x all core overclocked to 4.45Ghz stable. Cinebench R20 score reaching 5300. Any thoughts or input would be helpful thank you.

Hello there. I've been troubleshooting this for a few days but not coming up with any solutions... So I decided to just post here to see if anyone helpful can take a look or something.. I've got an Intel i9-9900K, RTX 2080 Super, 64GB of RAM, Corsair RM 850 psu, ROG Maximus Hero XI, and 2 m.2 SSD's. And all of my games have been running great until recently (about a week or two total). When I play either Rocket League or Overwatch, they both run over 200fps when starting. But after playing it for a few minutes, they dip down. (which they never used to) RL goes from over 200+ to 60-110fps and OW goes from 200+ to 40-80fps I have a buddy right next to me that has a 2070 Super and doesnt get any of these issues of course lol I tried a bunch of other games like F1 2020, KSP, Destiny 2, and they all run fine and don't show the same behavior. I tried updating all drivers, uninstall/reinstall nvidia driver, updated BIOS, reseated and dusted GPU, dusted my rad on my CPU, uninstalled all files/reinstalled games, windows updates, closed program after program while game is running to see if it gets better, and probably more that I cant remember I tried.. Update: When first starting RL for about 5 minutes, GPU is around 50-55c and use is around 80-95% (was at over 200fps) But after a few minutes, the fps drops and I see the GPU is around 50-55c and use is around 45-60% (dropped fps to 40-80) One weird thing I do notice is that my second monitor goes to a weird color/filter of blue/purple when I run those games. just booted up a bunch of other games (F1, fall guys, GTA) and they don't make my other monitor change color a bit. Only RL and OW does... hmm.... Any thoughts? I'm overwhelmed at this point... Thanks a ton yall. I currently have an i7 7700 at 4.2k ghz with 3000 mhz ram and a 3070 and I have some trouble getting stable 220 fps and above. Do I need to upgrade my ram/cpu or just get a new cpu cooler to oc it? and yes I know the cpu is old but it's ow

I recently got a Optiplex 7010 SFF that got a I7 3770 (I moved it into a full-size case btw) and I want to add a GPU to it i'm thinking about the GTX 1660 Super, my question it's if I could achieve 144 FPS at Low Graphics and 100% Resolution at 1920x1080 since I don't really have the money to change from this system but I can spend to buy at least a GTX 1660 or the Super one.

Hello, In the last 2-3 weeks I´ve been noticing significant drops in fps while gaming. Mostly in Overwatch and Diablo 3 with the ocasional 1ms freezes in Diablo every 5 seconds whenever there is a lot going on on the screen. Even if i play on the lowest settings possible, the stutter in Diablo and the low frames rates stay the same. In Overwatch the frames drop from 210+ while in spawn with other teammates or in training mode, to 120-130 when shooting at enemies. At first I thought that it could be the RAM that is causing the problem, so I booted my pc with just one stick, alternating between the 2 but the freezing in Diablo is still there so the ram sticks seem fine. I have tried to reinstall both games on different SSDs in case those were the problem. I have reinstalled windows and drivers but the prolem is still there. Every benchmark that i run on the pc shows that everything is working perfectly fine. I have also checked the temperatures with HWinfo64 and everything looks good. Here are some relevant specs: Motherboard - Asus Prime Z270-A GPU - Asus Rog Strix RTX 2070 Super OC CPU - Intel i7-7700k PSU - Corsair RMX 750X 80PLUS GOLD Ram - 2x Kingston Hyper X 8GB DDR4 2400 Mhz If anyone could help me figure this out, i´d really appreciate it. My pc is really decent so i dont understand why it can keep a constant 144 fps in overwatch 2 and it didnt in overwatch 1 either like it fine until im in a fight then all my frames just drop and i cant do anything because everyhting so jittery, all my settings are on low or off, anyone able to help? Summary January 23 has now come and that means Blizzard games including: World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Diablo 3, and Overwatch (2) have been shut down in China. The shutdown shouldn't come as a surprise, as it was first announced in November 2022 when Blizzard and Chinese publisher NetEase were unable to reach a renewal agreement. The company’s services in China were suspended at midnight local time on Tuesday, marking the end of an era. Quotes My thoughts This is a really unfavorable scenario, as I know WoW and other Blizzard games are really popular with people all over the world. I also know that the Chinese gaming demographic is one of the largest, reaching 664 million in 2022. Millions of Chinese gamers are affected by this and who knows how long it will be before they gain access to their Blizzard games again. It's good to know that Blizzard is trying to figure out a solution and is already communicating with a prior Chinese publisher. Additionally, it's also good to hear that players are able to back up their history and saved progress while awaiting for another publisher. In the mean time, it will suck for Chinese gamers to have to be overly-patient while an agreement is reached between Blizzard and another publisher. Sadly, they will have to find another game to play in the mean time. Is there a good forum / info sources about hidden changes/nerfs etc? The official patch notes don't mention it but i could swear they changed how long my ultimate (blizzard) lasts (Mei)... like it's probably half of what it was before? Thats hilarious if so, but then i should surely not be the only one noticing... it just seems apparent to me... I'd usually just throw it, use ice shield - depending on situation - and then the opponents still would be frozen when the shield stops being active (yes, its a cheap trick but more often than not worked well)... now it seems to last only a few seconds in total, of course i never measured it before but seems considerably shorter now... that's besides that the other nerfs seem to be really silly... tank health down to 200/300... but only in solo - like when you need it most! lol and poor Mercy did nothing to deserve this either... oof. But, yeah, Im confused, why wouldn't they say it if they reduced the time ultimates last? So i started playing Overwatch about 2 weeks ago, it all went perfectly fine, I've been streaming a lot with OBS, and also recorded with Shadowplay (not at the same time) with no issues, and now it just started giving me "connection to server lost" *every* game... resetting router etc didn't do anything to fix this... So i turned off Shadowplay and used OBS again, and no more "connection" issues... that's really weird, right? I didn't change anything before this started happening, no updates (afaik), etc... literally just turned on Shadowplay and this started happening... Im seeing lots of people having this "lost connection" issue, but no one seems to mention Shadowplay... I dunno maybe i should reinstall the driver? <- actually afaik there was no Overwatch update, but it's possible, i think they roll out stuff timed, like i downloaded an update some days ago, but the issue only appeared today, weirdly enough - really seems like either a bug with the game or Nvidia GFE/Shadowplay. Also not sure where i should post this, seems like a driver issue/ or game related bug? i mean the weird thing is it doesn't crash or anything... it just keeps disconnecting me from the server... Edit: its also not Steam running in background - i tested that... it really seems to be Shadowplay specifically - which I just don't understand why it would disconnect me from Overwatch servers

I play mainly overwatch, and I currently have a razer deathadder and I want to switch because this mouse is old and bad for today's standards. Which mouse should I go for? is a Zowie mouse or is the Viper Ultimate better? I've heard so many good things about both of them so I'm really on the edge on which one to get, but I see everyone at the top and in the esports scene use Zowie (like kabaji and dafran). note: The price isn't a problem since I buy a new mouse every ~2-3 years so spending 100$ or 150$ wont really hit hard. thanks, doxi.

Hi All Hoping someone can help! I'm having some issues with my Area 51m and no this doesn't have anything to do with thermals. I've largely fixed the issue with the thermals and massive downclocks by undervolting and overclocking the CPU and GPU. I'm attaching an HWinfo64 log of a typical game, I was getting up to 300 FPS in Overwatch on low-mid settings however now I'm often getting 210 FPS with stutters and dropping down to 60/70 but most often around 140-160 etc. Things look normal on the GPU side in the charts with voltages and clocks, the temperature maxed out at 50 degrees (max fan speed but Sennheiser headphones sort that out!) so I'm at a bit of a loss as to why this is happening. The CPU I believe looks ok but any help on what could be the issue would be really appreciated! To confirm general settings etc before looking at logs: RTX 2080 1920mhz Core clock, this has a nice and even voltage curve where I'll max out at this clock to avoid too much power/heat going in, this was the best and most consistently high result 7200mhz Memory clock, this was the best and most consistently high result Repasted with Thermal Grizzly paste (not LM) 9700K Same issue happens without undervolt/overclock. -100.6mV undervolt, I have tried from around 80-110, this was the best and most consistently high result 5.1 all Core overclock, I have tried 4.7, 4.8, 4.9, 5.0, this was the best and most consistently high result Repasted with Thermal Grizzly paste (not LM) 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 at 2400MHz (The only speed they supported at the time weirdly) 512GB RAID0 (2x 256GB PCIe M.2 SSDs) I've really tried to ensure that the components are staying cool but still getting an adequate amount of power. I believe the changes I made should be fine based on: Other people's results My own testing The fact that when it is working, the temperatures are comparible/everything I believe looks similar (at least on surface level) Please let me know your thoughts! So I'm looking to finally upgrade to playing at 240hz in Overwatch and was wondering whether it was worth it to upgrade from a 1070 gtx to a 2070 Super as numerous websites show that there will be a bottle neck from the CPU I'm currently using which is an i7-7700K. One site quotes the bottleneck at 10% while the other quotes it at 18%. I usually play on all low settings at 1080p and am looking to purchase the xl2546S by BenQ Zowie. This monitor does NOT have G-sync, so it is imperative that the setup I play with is able to maintain a solid 240 fps during team fights. I was planning on building a whole new system next summer as the 3000 series Nvidia cards would likely be coming out. I figured I'd sell this upgraded system (i7 7700K + 2070 Super) while building the new one. What would you do here? Is this bottleneck substantial and not worth it, or would I still be able to play at 240hz no problem in spite of the bottleneck? I really want to play at 240hz as soon as possible. As well due to this whole COVID thing, Canada computers is issuing final sale on all purchases, so if I purchase this card (the Asus Strix 2070 Super) I'm stuck with it or I would have to resell it, likely at a loss. Any advice here would be great. Yep, It's 2020 not 2012, I know. I'm currently running an FX 8350 at stock with 16GB of DDR3-1600, paired with an RX 550. I've got a decent 80+ 500W EVGA PSU and waay more storage than most people with this hardware, in total 3.3TB of useable storage, most on spinning rust but I have a couple of SSDs in there. Basically, in what I think are GPU-bound titles, for example VALORANT and Overwatch (and maybe some Minecraft too), I'm wondering if I'll get much value out of a 5700XT right now, though I know I'll be very CPU bottlenecked. I am likely to upgrade to a 3600, maybe when b550 is out, but I only have the funds for the gpu OR the cpu at the moment, and as I'm playing mainly esports titles, I was thinking the gpu was a better option. Should I pull the trigger now, or wait until I can do a full system upgrade? I'm also wondering if I'll see similar improvements in FPS to yesterday's video, upgrading the Optiplex for VALORANT. I'm currently getting 70ish FPS, but with some interesting frame times.

I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 560 Ti to a RX 580 4gb and I'm getting less FPS, around 30FPS less in Overwatch. I know that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU but shouldn't there be at least some FPS increase with the same graphics settings? I'm currently playing with an AMD FX-4200 with 8GB of 1600MHz RAM. I would like to find a solution to this problem. -
Hey guys to those Overwatch players with a GTX 1060/1070 For GTX 1060: May i know if i run at 1440p, Max Settings while recording at 1080p is it possible to maintain 60 fps minimum? For GTX 1070: Basically same question as GTX 1060. Im asking this question because probably the heaviest graphics card work im going to do is Overwatch 1440p Max settings while recording at 1080p and wonder if i should go for the GTX 1060 as the GTX 1070 might be overkill. If you do play Overwatch and have a GTX 1060 card and run at 1440p Max settings may i know your average FPS? (If you do play Overwatch and have either a GTX 1060/1070 card please tell me your average FPS with that settings on!)

Guys please help me I'm torn between this two games, I played 200 hours at paladins as I would say and the game is evolving, every patch is great and I enjoyed it, the graphics for me is fine not worst but not that great, the community or players are 50%-60% lower in terms of number and base in my experience the players are rarely toxic not like in DOTA2 or LoL but there are times the player just AFK or leave in games this happens usually in free games or the game is still in beta stage the servers are not stable, and ill just want to ask you guys, from your perspective, if you played both of the games or just played the overwatch. Is overwatch really that worth it for 39.99US$? is the game will still be viable in the future like DOTA2 or LoL? im interested also in overwatch coz the game is not for free with a huge price which is base on my perspective a game that isn't for free has less toxic gamers because not everyone can play it so less toxic gamers, so can u guys tell me should I buy it? is it enjoyable like for its price its really worth it? sorry for my bad English. so please tell me some points that overwatch have that paladins don't have (ex. paladins have card system which anti their team capacity and u cant change your hero so its very competitive). im having a dilemma to throw my money for overwatch on Friday

Hey guys I'll be buying my new comp paired with a U2415 and I was told that 1070s are overkill for 1080p. May I know if I'm streaming/recording (obs) on 1920x1080 on 60 fps, may I know if u would still be able to play on 60 fps? On ultra settings? I don't mind changing to high or even medium. Note: I'm not willing to downgrade my obs settings to anything lower then 60 or anything lower then 1600x900 In my case which graphics card should I get? Both graphics card will be the EVGA.
