I'm in the UK Hello, I'm planning to buy a pre built without ram or a GPU or a os from PCS. I want to ask if I can install a GPU in a system that has no integrated graphics and still output display without the GPU drivers?

Evening, Switched on my home media PC this evening and the display is now 'green scale'. It was working fine a few hours earlier while my daughter was watching tv through it. So far I've checked all the display settings, checked with 2 different HDMI, checked the TV I'm using as a monitor on other devices(DVD/playstation all output fine), resat the gtx 1660 super, checked for more up to date drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics card but nothing seems to have had any effect. As I'm using a ryzen 3600 there isn't another display port I can use. Before I ask a mate to use another monitor(sadly I don't have one) with HDMI or display port, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

It all started when I was flashing my x79 Sabertooth bios with a user modified one that has nvme boot support. After flashing all was going well, I reconfigured all the settings in the bios (overclocks, boot orders, etc.), ran some stress tests without problems. Then I went into the bios again, disabled onboard audio (it doesn't work, i use a PCI soundcard, but I was hoping maybe the bios update will bring it back to life, it didn't), and I enabled some kind of usb 3.0 charge support. These were the last and only settings that I have changed, and after saving and rebooting, there was no video output at all. I have tried different slots, different gpus, resetting cmos, re-flashing the old and official bioses, nothing worked. The system seems to be working fine, only no video output. Judging by the onboard LED and shut off time after pressing the power button, the pc boots into windows, i can configure bios settings (obviously without seeing anything), I even managed to load optimized defaults, that didn't work. I'm thankful for any help I can get

Hi Guys, i have an old Laptop lying around and wanted to tidy it up. However if I power it up, it doesn't show any information on the screen. No bootup screen, no BIOS message/screen. Also the backlight of the display doesn't turn on, so it's just as black, as it is when it's powered off. The battery is fine and charges when I plug it in Keyboard backlight also lights up HDD spins up an external Monitor also doesn't show anything, hower if i plug in an HDMI cable, the external Monitor detects a HDMI input (HDMI1 popup at the bottom corner of the Monitor The laptop I'm talking about is a lenovo y70-70 and has been sitting around without usage for about a year I guess. It's got an integrated GPU i7 and a dedicated GPU. I doubt both of these could be defect? I unplugged the battery and disposed of all statics by holding down the power button for 30s. I also reseated both the RAM sticks and checked if there were any obvious problems. like unplugged cables. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance Stay healthy

I am currently using a HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-dk0010tx. I have been on the internet for a while looking for proper specs of this laptop regarding the HDMI port version. To my understanding, 144hz requires the laptop to have a 2.0 HDMI port. I have searched a lot, and most websites only list the laptop has a "HDMI x1 Port" So, main question here, is my laptop able to support 144hz 1080p output? Currently ordered a 70hz monitor instead of a 144 as it is cheaper and I still do not know if my laptop will be able to support 144hz output. The laptop does have a USB C port, guessing could do a USB C to DP adapter for 144hz.

Hey, I recently changed my motherboard and Intel cpu with a new one (Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro V2 and Ryzen 7 3700x). Unfortunately I can now not longer use the HDMI on the motherboard because the Ryzen doesn't have integrated graphics. I have two screens that have only HDMI Input and my GTX960 only has one HDMI output. So I bought a display port to HDMI adapter but it didn't work. The screen stays black. Is the Adapter broken or am I missing something? I tested the Adapter on both screens, they work without the Adapter but both don't work with it.

Hello guys, Hopefully someone can help me. Recently I started having a problem, I'm gaming (different games) and all of a sudden my monitor, keyboard and mouse all shutoff. Only a hard reset solves the problem. I also updated my BIOS a month ago but I'm not sure if that's related. I'm afraid either my board is dying or maybe the PSU? I'm rocking a Ryzen 1700 on an ASUS B350-Plus with BIOS 5602. Thanks :)

Hey guys, today I wanted to fix the secure boot error with Valorant on Win11. I booted into the BIOS changed from CSM to UEFI then enabled Secure Boot After a restart I realized the display wasn't outputting anything - tried to reboot again - nothing. After that i started to try everything - from clearing the CMOS to changing to a different GPU and also tried every display output I had available in every state the PC was in in the last 3 hours. Problem probably is that my graphics card isn't detected in UEFI mode and the CPU doesn't have integrated graphics. The only thing I didn't try was flashing the bios but only because I don't have a Flash Bios Button and the only other way to do this would be in the BIOS settings - which I can't access. Maybe someone knows this error and has an answer for me because I don't. TL;DR problem: Display doesnt output after secure boot was enabled - tried everything - nothing worked Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: Geforce RTX 2060 MB: MSI B350 Gaming Plus Please help - thank you, nightclaw

so I have been gifted the amazing opportunity to make a game room/office. I want to have consoles be on one side of the room and my PC be on the other, however I want the to be able to use the same headset for both, is it possible to centralize the sound into a single output? another related question, is it possible to then have a switch or button to toggle speaker vs headphones? i dont really care about wires because I jave many ways to hide them.

Hello! Yesterday everything was working fine and today, When I installed 1070 GPU, The sound is just not working anymore. In audio settings its saying that audio is working. But in my headphones, speakers, monitor the sound does not comes. I know that problem is not from my device. I tested it on another PC. Ive tried all drivers, Updating in Device Manager, Re-installing GPUS. When I turn on video on YouTube, In the "Sound" settings, its saying that the sound is registering. but from headphones the sound does not comes. Ive tried Realtek audio driver also. nothing works. Please Help me to fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

Hi I have one 1440p 144hz Monitor connected via DisplayPort and one 1080p 60hz Monitor connected via hdmi... It worked fine until now... From one day to another I have no output on my 60hz Monitor. I reinserted the cable, swapped it out, reinstalled the amd drivers... One time when the hdmi cable was half inserted it worked but just with a 900p Resolution but my gpu thought it was dvi, then I decided to create a costom resolution for 1080p and everything worked fine. To proof that it works I reinserted the cable and still the same problem... Again no Output... Maybe Its because I had a VR headset connected Before these problems to this hdmi port but I dont know what I can do... Specs: R7 3700X ASUS X570-F ASUS RX 5700 XT

Hey! So I have built my new pc and I immediately was forced to return my RAM because heatshield after 4 day wasn t attached to RAM :( NOW I have everything back on and my Audio is not working. When I plug in Mic and headphone jack in front ports, POP UP shows on my screen what is it that i plugged in (Input or Mic; headphones or input) I select Mic and then Headphones. I can hear sound through headphones but they are NOT RECOGNIZED by pc and I am still on speakers. I cannot get my 5.1 Speakers running because when I plug it in orange, black, green port (not line out) i won t hear a Sh*t , when i test it with windows those beeps will sound in every single one of them , but YouTube or Games etc. won´t play. I assume that because Headphones are not being recognized my MIC that is on them is not also recognized so there for it is not working. ANY IDEAS HOW TO GET IT TO WORK? I am desperate heh :/ . At the moment I have only green jack in Line Out , so I have 2 speakers out of 5 running. Motherboard GIGABYTE AORUS B450 Elite - audio controller is enabled in BIOS Tried unninstalling driver in device manager, did not work.

Okay so I have a laptop (toshiba satellite P755-S5382) that has some pretty good on board speakers with one glaring issue. That is that even though they can rock the lower frequencies rather comfortably without any noticeable distortion via. a line in. But when actually listening to any audio coming from windows itself their seems to be some kind of software that makes it to where the frequencies that it plays are on a curve. To put it simply, it's like the computer is handicapping itself by not allowing full utilization of the range of the speakers, imagine if somebody took an EQ and turned down the lower frequencies, that's how it's acting. Now to go through the canned responses, yes I have gone through and disabled all the sound modifiers in windows and in the Realtek audio drivers and to no avail. But there is one way I was hoping I could go about it. You see, through the line in/mic the limit on the lower frequencies is not present, and the limit is also not present on the headphone jack. So what I was wondering is if I could take the system audio and pipe it through the headphone jack which would then go to the line in where the audio from the line in would then be played through the speakers. So basically what I am asking is, can I make it to where my system audio plays through one output while my onboard speakers play from a line in?

Hiya, my old computer isn't outputting any visuals, and I've tried multiple VGA cables, with the same result so I think the VGA output is screwed. I know the computer is on, but there isn't video. Ask questions for more details. Thank you, Harry.

GOAL: easy simultaneous multi-output audio control. EX: I will play a game (SC2 usually) and have audio going to my headphones and simultaneously music coming from my 3rd screen TV. This is nice because I can have my music loud but the important game audio is right in my ear and the audio is not competing on 1 output for priority. SC2 has nice audio settings that enable me to accomplish this by having the in-game settings mismatch my Windows sounds settings. This way I can have chrome-youtube (or preferred music provider) play through one and the game another. I would like an easier less tedious way to accomplish the same thing all in one place. Also it could add this functionality to games that do not have has good of audio settings features/ Any good programs or suggestions?

Hello guys, I had my a problem with my pc. Sometimes when I played games the display suddenly went black. I could still talk over teamspeak, but couldn't see anything. I thought it was a problem with the graphics card (R9 390) so I sent it back and bought a new one (Gtx 1060). But now the is the same problem. For example yesterday I played overwatch and after two games the display suddenly went green. The gpu isn't overheating, its max temperature was 55 C. It shouldn't be a power problem either. I got a 650 W Power Supply and a power calculator says my pc should use around 300 W and suggested me 500 W Power supplys. I thought it might be a loose connection at the pci slot, but I don't touch the pc before it goes blank and I also don't have to relocate the graphics card to work again, I just have to restart the pc. Do you have an idea what could be the problem? Have a nice day Yannick Update: So after switching the pci slot the problem still occurs, which leads me to believe that the motherboard is probably not the cause of it. Also known is that the gpu is not the problem since it's a new one and the old one had the same problem. The cooling is not the problem since the gpu stays under 60 C. The problem only occurs while gaming, so under a big gpu load, but a big cpu load does not trigger it. The PC gets a lot louder (also happend with the old gpu) when it happens (some fans start spinning faster). I could reduce it to the gpu fans or the psu fan. --> My newest guess would be that the problem is the power supply or more specific, since the motherboard gets enough power and theoretical it should deliver enough power for the gpu, the PCIe cable (i believe it's called PCIe) connected to the gpu is broken/not working properly. On the other hand the 1060 shows if it's PCIe connector is placed correctly. I would like to hear someone else's thought on that matter.

Hello, I am building a new pc but it doesn't give me a screen output. The build consists off: Memory: Adata 8GB DDR4-2400 CPU: Intel core i5-7500, 3.4 Ghz Motherboard: Asrock B150M-HDV My psu has a total power output of 250W The fans are spinning but I can't get anything on a screen. I have bought a motherboard speaker but I can't get any beep sound (Small chance I have installed the speaker wrong but I deem the unlikely since I think it is just a matter of connecting it to the 'speaker' pins.) I noticed the memory speed it faster than is supported by the motherboard but I read online that that won't cause this sort of problem but I am unsure about whether this is true. Thanks!

(I'm a noob) I already have the Scarlett 2i2 and have been using it with some headphones and an XLR mic to record my guitar, however I wish to get some monitors to go with them something like the M-Audio BX5. My question is can I plug them straight into the interface and use them as regular speakers (I will continue to use my headphones for direct monitoring), so I can watch YouTube with them and listen to music? Thanks

So I built a computer for my brother today only to find out that it will not output to a monitor so I can access the bios. Why is this? i tried removing the gpu, booting with alternating sticks of ddr4 memory , and I also tried unplugging and replugging all of the power connections on the mother board, I tried redoing the front io.. The system it self will boot (all the fans spin) but it won't output to a monitor (tried different monitors and configurations such as DVI & VGA) please im stuck. Help. Specs i5 6500 Asus B150M-A mother Board. Amd rx 460 be quite 500w
