I've been seeing this pop up more and more lately but there's been an issue where, if Outlook is open for more than a few hours, it will stop letting you open picture attachments (clicking a picture results in a brief loading icon on the cursor, then it just goes away and does nothing). Restarting Outlook fixes it until it just happens again. It's fairly annoying and I'm wondering if anyone else has ran into this.

Hi all, I switched to Outlook mobile, but the problem is it's not loading folders. I have like 20 folders, the app only shows 4-5 and it's not even loading them until I directly go in them and refresh. I tried on different devices, tried to reinstall the app, tried to reset my account, nothing worked. Anyone has any idea? Because at this state it's unusable. Thank you in advance!

Popup keeps showing after going through multiple methods of removing it, not sure how to proceed, any help is well appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out how to set my phone alarm clock based on my Outlook calendar. My job has variable hours every day, and I usually have to set my alarm clock in the evening based on when my first appointment of the day will be. It takes exactly 50 minutes between waking up and getting to work, so I always set my alarm 1 hour before my first calendar event of the day. It's that action, creating and enabling an alarm based on my Outlook calendar, that I want to automate. I use Tasker for a few automations already, but IFTTT and other automations apps are on the table if Tasker is the wrong app for this. Has anyone done this before? Google isn't showing anything other than turning up Outlook notification volume, which isn't ideal.

help Migrate Thunderbird mails to Exchange
GeneralShagg posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
The problem So I need to migrate some mailboxes from Thunderbird to Exchange 365. Thunderbird doesn't use the same file format as Outlook or other email clients, so I need to convert them to be able to import these emails. We currently have a POP3 mail server, in which we do not store emails received for more than 2 days. All emails are stored locally on users' PCs. So I can't just install another client to download and export the emails. The solutions Export the files manually as an EML file and import them into the Outlook application so that they can be synchronized with Exchange 365. This solution is not viable because one of the users has more than 160 GB of email. I would take years to do it this way. Using software to automatically migrate all emails from Thunderbird to Outlook/Exchange. In this way, it could work, even if I have to pay software, I will save a lot of time. I would need some recommendations because there are a lot of software... (SysTools, Aryson MBOX migrator, DRS MBOX to PST converter,...) My questions First question is that Exchange 365 does not offer a mailbox that can store 160 GB of mail. Exchange Plan 2 can store up to 100GB, but on the Microsoft Exchange Limits page, I can archive up to 1.5TB3 in emails. As I understand it, I should be able to import all his emails and archive most of them and he could access them whenever and wherever he wants. Second question, for software recommendation, it would help if there was one that could do Thunderbird to Exchange 365 and Outlook to Exchange 365 migration. Finally, do you have any advice, recommendations or anything that could help me in this process? This is pretty much the first time I transfert this quantity of mailboxes (~20) -
As Stated above, outlook creates a new folder when reciving mail from one specific sender, if I remove the old box it creats a new. There are no rules or blocked users. Any ideas? Regards

i messed up and didnt have 2factor on my outlook account and a hacker/thief gained entry through my old backup email. within minutes of changing my password, my phone number and old email was removed and then they changed the primary email on my outlook account. so i lost ALL my emails from the past 8 years or so, all my onedrive files(including my only copes of photos of my dead son), all my contacts and notes. my access to my humble bundle account and epic account(they use email verification). and i cant change me email on many of my online accounts. suffice to say i screwed up big time. however i thought i'd prove to microsoft support i was me (so many things which only i could have) and they world see the hack and return my account. boy was i wrong. its been 2 weeks now of "we will let you know in 24-48 hours our decision" and i have spoken to them every day or two and keep being told they will look at it. i'm confident it does not take 2 weeks to see the logs that 30 mins before my initial complaint my email, password, phone number were all changed from a strange ip (mine hasn't changed in at 5ish years). confirm my identity with multiple proof like bank proof, driving license, xbox id, proof i have previously had access to the account, and photos of devices (windows/surface pro's) & there id's that are associated with the account. suffice to say microsoft support/escalation team are not reliable in the slightest. i have been promised a result 7 or 8 times(all within 24-48 hours), including that i'd get a phone call, which never happened. so i'm stuck relying on microsoft to get my life back. its obvious to me they have problems and my life/sleep/anxiety are being heavily affected. so my suggestion is dont trust microsoft with your data. and if you must then 2 factor everything.

Hey guys, I recently decided to synchronize my outlook e-mail into my gmail email account, but I forgot to add to the settings to keep a copy of those mails on outlook. Now I have an empty outlook mail, which wasn't what I wanted lol. Is there a way to restore them back on it? I usually read my mails from gmail, but I'd like to have a copy of them into my outlook account.

Hi, One company uses Outlooks 2013 and 2016 and on premise Exchange Server. We have problems since the beginning of this year. Program stutters every few minutes for a minute or few minutes. I think that happens when Outlook synchronizes new content. Every user have updated windows 10 but there are several different verions of Outlook. Did You encounter similar problem? I have searched the internet and there is no working solution anywhere.

Fellow Techies, I hope all are doing well. I have a question that hopefully someone can answer for me. I moved my pst file from my old pc on outlook 2016 to outlook 2016 on my new pc.I keep getting this pop up "Rules in Error" It can't move emails from sender A to Junk folder or sender B to BS folder (custom folder under inbox). Why is this happening? Thank you in advance.

Hi! I'm looking for a workaround on how to synchronize calendar events and notes between Outlook 2013 running on my PC and iPad. I don't like using iCloud for storing my sensitive personal data and this only leaves a room for iTunes. iTunes works perfectly with events from Outlook but not syncing notes at all. Apple support says they did an update to enhance notes in iOS, which broke the compatibility. Is there any other workaround in my situation?

Ok so i need a little bit of a back story before i can explain this. A former employee(1) that worked here used Outlook (like many other people at my work do) for his emails and since he left, any business e-mails that he may have been responsible for were forwarded to our boss and was set to do this through outlook. So he(1) left and we got a replacement for his position(2) who was set up with a new outlook email address that was changed to her(2) name from the previous employee's(1) address, So i guess the new(2) person also got all the the e-mails. But now that person(2) is leaving and the old employee(1) is coming back to work for us, and I'm trying to figure out how to stop the emails for the rehired employee(1) from being sent to my boss, because she doesn't need to get them anymore now that he(1) is back working with us. We've tried looking through the out look rules and there's nothing that mentions the forwarding of emails. Is there another setting in Outlook that manages fwding emails?

Hi everyone, I initially created my business email through Outlook and my Microsoft Office free trial. Then, since Zoho.com provides free business email hosting, I pointed my domain to the new Zoho business email instead. Now, how do I switch the same email used in Outlook to point to the Zoho mail server instead of the Microsoft exchange server? For example, my Zoho business email is xxx@xxx.com. The email is listed in Outlook as xxx@xxx.com, but it's still pointed to Microsoft Exchange server instead of the Zoho mail server. Thanks for any help.

I'm currently running Synology's Active Directory Beta package on my DS916+. So far it has worked really well, with only a couple of glitches - the main one being that Outlook will not find my email account. My email is provided by Microsoft's Office 365 exchange service. I have so far tried it on Office 2010 and 2016, as those are the two I have access to on my test rig. I have, so far, left the DNS server package alone (it installed and configured itself when Active Directory downloaded) - is it likely to be a problem here? Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I am going on a trip to Vietnam and have some important mails regarding tickets and such.. They are on my mail, but my Sony Z2 won't show mails that are older than around 3 weeks old. This is a huge problem, since I need to be able to access those specific mails at any time. Anyone that has an idea how to go around this? It would be awesome to somehow download them, so I can access them without internet aswell. Thanks in advance

email What is your personal email provider?
captain_to_fire posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I think for a lot of older people, they started out with AOL but for me, my first email account was Yahoo! Mail back in 2003. But then Yahoo's spam filters are terrible and messages like "Canadian pharmacy and Rolex for less" so I decided to delete my Yahoo! Mail in 2009 and go with Hotmail for a while. But then, almost everyone I know is using Gmail so in 2010 I created a Gmail which is indeed cleaner looking and ads are less obtrusive unlike Outlook and Yahoo. Outlook's obtrusive ads vs Gmail's ads Also with Gmail, every message I click, the message is front and center unlike in Outlook where ads obstruct the view plus the message sidebar can't be removed. My iCloud Mail is mostly for Amazon though. The only advantage I can see for iCloud Mail is that it's free and it doesn't have any ads so yay for privacy. -
Hello, I work at an IT-helpdesk and we manage the servers of many companies. We receive mail notifying us about the back-up of the server (succesfull or unsuccesfull) and our virus scanner if it has seen any viruses on our customers PC's and such. Now my question was, since we get a lot of notiifying e-mails of the back-ups I wanted to know if it's possible to get notified if we don't receive an e-mail from a certain company. Like for example I received a back-up report from company Y that has been succesfull and a back-up report from company X that was unsuccesfull, but we didn't receive any e-mail from company Z, so for example company Z e-mail servers are down. But I don't check if I received a backup report from each company so I wanted to know if it's possible to receive a notification if I didn't receive a report e-mail from a certain sender/company? I thought of maybe using VBScript, but I have no experience in scripting at all. Thanks in advance

Hey team, So first of all, a disclaimer, I'm not sure outlook is rubbish, I use it at work with thousands of emails and it's fine, but do a search on my PC and it crashes. Now on typing this I discovered I have 20,000 emails in outlook (that may be half my problem), but surely running the system I am, my computer should be able to look for some keywords, and isn't outlook indexed? So I want ideas, should I expect outlook to crash with so many emails, would any program crash with 20,000 emails, or is there a problem specific to outlook. May there be a setting, or something I can change? Let me know. Specs in image. Thanks, Kurt

Hey team, I've noticed for a while that when windows is awaiting a restart after an update, my system acts extremely buggy. Examples have been applications not loading, double clicking not working as expected, it's generally system functions. I am a windows insider but only release preview, not slow or fast ring. Is anyone else experiencing this? Specs uploaded, I can't see it being a system thing, I only see delays and issues when windows hasn't yet restarted after an update. EDIT: I have removed the direct reference to outlook, just so happens outlook is rubbish. Thanks, Kurt

Hi I just started school, but I need to create a calendar. But In outlook 2016 I can do a peridicity for only day of week (monday to friday) and with a 9 day peridicity. What I mean is: Day one is the 31 august 2016, but 9 days later (without the weekends) I will have day one again. Thanks a lot!

So i want to transfer them to an external drive ,then reinstall windows and then just move them back.It is outlook 2008 cause the new ones are toooooooooooo expensive.I need a way to get the files and then a way to get outlook to detect them as mails to just stick back into the inbox ect when it is reinstalled. Thanks for helping me out guys.
