Howdy all, I am in the market for a high-end SFF gaming pc. I simply do not have the time nor space to build one on my own, so I've been looking at either the corsair ONE a200 (Ryzen 9 5900x + RTX 3080) or the Origin Chronos (Ryzen 9 5950x + RTX 3080). The Chronos obviously has the advantage of having a better CPU and a better motherboard for the same price as the Corsair One, but I feel like I'd be taking more of a gamble in terms of part selection because Origin doesn't let you choose a specific brand of graphics card, only the type. I am also worried about poorer build quality in the Chronos. Would y'all recommend either? I know these PCs are kinda overpriced for the specs but given my specific situation (long story), they are very much worth it to me. If any corsair ONE or Origin Chronos owners could describe their experience with build quality, customer service, tech support, quality control, or whatever else, I would deeply appreciate it. Thank you!

Budget (including currency): $5000 Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rendering (work), Gaming (hobbies), Music mixing(hobbies) and A.I development(studying/work) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 64gb ram, 17 inch screen 144hz, system drive 500gb ssd, storage ssd 2tb and here is the question: what processor should i choose intel or amd ? (5.1 or 4.9 turbo speed), what graphic card should i choose rtx 2080 super or amd's ? ( ram from 8 to higher if possible because origin pc offers only 8gb of gpu ram), what screen resolution should i choose 1080p with 144hz , 4k ? Tell any other website that custom makes laptops to replace desktop pcs? ( because i have to travel and work) Any improvement are also appreciated?

Does anyone have experience owning a laptop from Origin PC? I'm highly considering the EON15-X. I know what specs I want, so I'm looking for little details on what it's like to own and operate one, details I won't find on a spec sheet, like what customer service is like, how it feels to type on, will I void the warranty if I open it up and change the RAM or if I overclock it? etc. As far as usage goes, I'm a gamer (not exactly hardcore, but definitely not casual), aspiring game designer, computer science major, and most importantly a video editor using Adobe Premiere and sometimes Avid.

Hello, I'm HC and American and I was looking to buy myself a new gaming laptop. I was looking online for reviews and Origin EON17-X kept popping up as one of the most powerful gaming laptops you can get. With that being said those are just straight forward reviews and I'm having trouble finding reviews from people who have owned an Origin EON17-X for 6 months or more. I want to know that this laptop isn't going to break down on me in a couple of months and I would also like to know what kind of material the chassis is made out of. What I did find though when I started digging was a few reviews on Origin's customer service department which were not that great. If I'm going to spend several grand on a laptop I want to know that the customer service isn't going to be a nightmare to deal with. I don't mind delays but I don't like being ignored or not told what is going on. I heard that Digital Storm had much better customer service but was also much more expensive so that's what I figured I would ask what the smartest computer community on the web thought. Has anyone here dealt with Origin or Digital Storm before and if so how was the experience and the overall quality of the product?

Summary: It looks like Origin PC is going to become a part of Corsair now and although they are buying Origin, Corsair will continue to make and sell their existing lineup of prebuilt PCs. Everything from Origin will still remain under that brand but will just have a new parent company and they will continue to operate out of their current offices. Quote: Thoughts: I think this could be a good move for Corsair, they already offer some really nice products and being able to further integrate themselves into the SI space and offer a wider range of products and services should hopefully be a good thing. I wish the best for Corsair moving forward and hope they continue to deliver excellent products and quality. This should also allow for more offerings and maybe even slightly cheaper prices on Origin PC systems as well but only time will tell for certain on that. I recently decided to buy an origin pc but I've been struggling with the choice of model and hardware for what I need, I'm studying graphic design and do gaming videos on youtube as a hobby, so I'll need something for gaming, editing photos and videos and drawing It would be easier if I had the money for a beast pc and just bought the best one I could get but my budget is of 2500$, so I'm asking for help in the choice of model and hardware for what I need of it

Hey I have a question You see recently i notice that pewdiepie has switch from maingear(rush) to origin(genesis). And well i was wondering why because maingear can support 4 graphics cards and has the most performance per litre while origin only and 3 graphics card. Yes probally if you were to get 4 graphics card the usage on the 4th graphic card would be low but like pewdiepie is sponsered by them so money really isnt a big problem for him. So I was wondering if i got all the max specs for Genesis and Rush(pretend that I'm like a billionair)which would come out the be just better for gaming and editting. If say both pc with max specs isnt actually as good as say cyberpower's pc with max specs then which other computer company would give a better pc with max specs. If pewdiepie just switch to origin for the sponsered cash then is maingear really better? I know my writting structure is all over the place and I asked alot of questions but I really dont know anything about pc's so I would appreciate if one of the experts(preferably one of the staff) reply to this and not a random person.

Hello, I am currently living in Japan. I want to buy a gaming computer with a budget 1700$~ I am looking at alienware Area 51, origin PC millennium and Genesis, Digital storm Vanqush 5 and Bolt 3. They ate pre build desktops and starts from 1600$~ with good specs. In future I want to upgrade them. I was thinking buying a gaming laptop, but the are so expensive, better get desktop with ability to upgrade in future, then a laptop. The second problem is I need to buy them outside if the Japan, because here they are so expensive. I was looking who can do international shipping and only alienware on Amazon and Digital Storm do ship world wide. I would like to hear your opinion , thank you !

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, My apologies if this is repasta, I'm a relatively new user (few months) but I didn't find this anywhere after a few searches in the forums. Origin PC, the Miami based company founded by Alienware members upset at the Dell buyout, is offering the individual sale of just their cases during this upcoming holiday season. More information can be found here: http://www.originpc.com/promotion/2014/5-year-anniversary-promo/ Personally, I wish I had waited 9-10 months from when I purchased a PC from them; their service has been excellent but being a boutique vendor they do come with a price tag which is considerably higher than if you were to build it yourself. Part of the reason I went with Origin was due to their case, which I liked better than anything which was available if I were to build it myself. Now, don't get misled by their guarantee of 100% server grade aluminum because it's only for the chassis; the outside of it is plastic to cut back on the weight (for instance, my PC is about 100lbs even with the outside being plastic). Additionally, if you really don't want any dust inside your PC (who the hell does?) you are going to need to pick up a few nylons to cover what barely passes for filters (Hexagonal plastic covers with a diameter of almost 5mm isn't gonna stop any dust). However, if you want the aesthetic of the Origin design, and you plan on doing either copious amounts of liquid cooling or want tons of storage space, you will find this to be a solid case. Both models come standard with a 5-Drive bay hot-swap plate which can be upgraded to have locks, and you can choose to have it shipped with an included power supply if you don't feel like going out to buy one (though probably cheaper to get it yourself). The Genesis model (full tower) can fit 24 Hard Drives below or be used for some epic liquid cooling. While even the case alone is a bit pricey, with the cases being around $400-$450 USD, if you were considering Origin anyways it will be significantly cheaper to just purchase the case and build your own PC, if it's something you don't mind doing. TL;DR: Origin is offering to sell their signature cases for the first time in honor of their 5th year anniversary, but they are as pricey as you'd expect Pros: Origin look, solidly built case, tons of room, versatility with motherboard mounting Cons: Price, More plastic than ideal so you can actually carry the case, doesn't filter dust well

So you've heard the news as was posted on LTT, AMD & Origin made up but the question is why ? And did Nvidia in fact give Origin money to dump AMD cards ? Turns out it's actually more than that & Origin will be selling AMD GPUs again starting with the 285.... interesting. Here's the story Personal opinion I personally never liked Origin PC, their systems are vastly overpriced and they have no additional value to add like most other botique PC builders they also handled the situation with AMD disastirously they're very lucky AMD didn't sue or resort to some other form of punishment like withholding GPUs which Nvidia actually does to punish board partners that screw up.

The company Origin, known for it's high end workstation and gaming machines has announced that they will be dropping Radeon GPU's from their configurations claiming a combination of Customer feedback and performance issues. In an Engadget.com article, Origin told the tech website quote 'This decision was based on a combination of many factors including customer experiences, GPU performance/drivers/stability, and requests from our support staff. Based on our 15+ years of experience building and selling award winning high-performance PCs, we strongly feel the best PC gaming experience is on NVIDIA GPUs.' I have a mixed bag of feelings about this, It's good that they listen to customer feedback and it's great they want to have the best customer experience, but at the same time this puts AMD fans at a loss when it comes to ordering an Origin PC. Out of pure speculation it is possible that Nvidia has influenced Origins decisions. With their recently announced BattleBox concept it' fair to say that this may have had an effect on this decision. What are your thoughts?

How do sealed liquid cooling systems work? Yes another self explanatory titled one so how do sealed liquid cooling systems work? Such as the ones included with Origin PC's seen here: http://www.originpc.com/configurator/d/d4.aspx?SYSTEMID=2 If that link isn't helpful ask me to change it. Thanks, - regards - DrV

Budget (including currency): max 3500CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Software Development (Visual Studio, Unity IDE, Unreal 4, IntelliJ, etc.), VIdeogames AAA and indie Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm helping someone buy a computer he'll use for software development and gaming. We looked around BestBuy and then I recommended we pick the aprts on Origin PCto get exactly what he needs. Below I list the parts I picked amd the reasoning behind them hoping to get some of your opinions on my choices. Case: Origin Neuron CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core 3.7Ghz Although 8 cores should be enough for gaming, he's going to be compiling software, and running video-game and other software development environments, which are highly parallel applications. Motherboard: Asrock B550 Phantom Gaming 4/ac He's not going to overclock the CPU and this is the default board selected by Origin PC, I don't know what advantages the other boards offer and I don't thik it'd make a difference to him. Memory: 32GB Corsair Vengeance 3000MHz (2x16Gb) VIdeo game development requires quite a bit of memory, in addition to that 16Gb has been the standard for quite a bit now and I'm expecting 32Gb to become the norm soon. The memory speed can't be changed on Origin PC. Cooling: Corsair H60i Pro XT He's not going to overclock anything so I didn't see a reason to upgrade from the base choice. It's liquid cooling and I don't think Origin PC would put it there if it was a bad option anyway, right? System Fans: Origin PC Standard Fan Kit Again, he's not going to overclock anything ever, so this default Origin PC pick should be fine. Graphics Card: NVIDIA 8Gb GeForce RTX 3070 He'll likely want some raytracing in his games, hence why I think Nvidia was a better choice, and from what I know the 3080 is slightly better than the 3070 for a 500 dollars price increase. I feel like the 3070 should allow him to play on his 1080p monitor all games over 60fps at the highest settings, right? OS: Windows 10 Professional He'll be developing software, so the pro version makes more sense I think. OS Drive: 1TB Seagate BarraCuda SSD This is a SATA 6gb/s SSD. He's not going to edit videos or load massive files, but he does need the extra space. Also having only one drive creates less complexity than working with two drives (NVMe for OS and SATA for storage). And lastly, he can always decide to buy an additional NVMe and put it in the M.2 port. No Storage Drive Power Supply: Corsair RM850 Plus Gold PSU To give him enough upgrade room for the future, let me know if it's overkill. The total price comes to 2793 USD, which is 3374 CAD. I don't know what the Origin PC tax is or if choosing to order with them way more expensive than if I was to order with someone else, or buy a pre-built. I know from watching LTT that Origin PC is trustworty and they care about the quality they provide. Also I don't know if because he's located in Canada it will create problems with the shipping. Thank you for your time, any feedback is super appreciated!
