Hello off topic part of Linus forums. I need your scientific help. I have this guitar that I got from my dad a few years ago, now he bought this guitar probably back in 80s-90s and I have absolutely no idea about it origin. I know that magnum guitars are a rip off brand of guitar that made things like strats but I cannot find ANYTHING that looks ANYTHING like this one. It’s got an original Floyd rose, humbucker single signle pickup setup, coil split (or tap not sure which one) and volume and tone. It’s got this wicked orange and black paint job that I have no idea how to explain and these awesome “v” like inlays but I just don’t know where this thing came from or if there are any other out there in the world (if there are I would like to buy it plz thank) the neck looks to be either maple or ash and it has this sticker at the bottom of the neck near the bolt plate. I can’t read it because it’s so old and faded but here are the pictures please if anyone one has any information at all about this PLEASE TELL ME thank you off topic community

Lately I brought Samsung crg9 monitor, to use for my Asus ROG M15 laptop everything went smooth used it for 3 weeks until I downloaded BF1 the colors and everything went funny, high contrast and brightness. I adjusted everything back to normally except one thing the red color is bit orangy like the YT logo bar and buttons even some old designs I did in red when I open it, the red color shift to orange, even like inside the folder it stay red. I have tried to fix the colors in color management installed the color ICC for the monitor, tried also gamma, NVidia and it still the same and I think its a software problem not hardware related since the files preview shows red until I open them. I attached an example idk if it works or not to explain it Sorry for my bad English.

specs, intel 11700f corsair hx750 psu 4x 8gb 2666mhz kingston fury ram nvidia 1660ti (going to be upgraded to a 3070) msi 590z pro wifi motherboard some 512gb m.2 ssd i took old main computer was a alienware aurours a11, i have taken the cpu from the computer and got more components to make a better pc that cna be upgraded further down the line, issue the current problem i have is that the orange dram light keeps flashing back and forth with a red cpu light, it does this a couple times, then switches to a solid orange dram light. different ram sticks in different slots seem to change the behaviour of the the flashing, as two work in the furtheset slot without any red cpu light, one works in the third slot and the other has a constant cycle of the two lights. i have resettled the cpu many times, the cpu is clean on the contact pads , i have cleaned the ram with no change to outcome. i have litterally zero clue what the issue could be as i have looked at loads of youtube videos and formus with no change on the outcome, if anyone has any suggestions that would help

first of, no Ebay and most stuff on Amazon wont ship here so most of that is out of the question if it dosent say international shipping. with that out of the way what i need is pretty clear, some orange LEDs or preferably magnetic LED strips in either orange or in a RGB fasion so i can put them to orange! why orange? because i want more lights for the Toaster Project OFC! what else? they dont have to look good just as long as they are nicely orange, and it needs to be the kind of orange that is on an orange and not the one LTT uses, the LTT one is too dark. thanks for any suggestions and all *edit* has to be 12V so i can use my Molex breakout insert i have already, cant bother makeing a SATA one

Today I saw a black widow chroma v2 at microcenter and bought it, comes with the same wrist rest as the Mecha-membrane one (ornata) and looks similar. I noticed on the back they advertise a new switch that is linear, and "razer yellow" with a 1.2mm actuation, no doubt to combat the rapid fire from corsair. I can't find anything about these online so I had to buy it, of course.

So I havent really posted here before besides the odd comment here or there, a coworker suggested I do a proper build log for my baby. Ive been working on this one in either planning/draw ups or actual building for 2 years roughly (obviously drawn out because money/time). In short the justification for this build's name is it being my favourite character from any video game, Zia from Bastion (not related to the theme ive been calling my PC's that for years, technically this is Zia 4.0). The theme of the build started as a kind of Tracer from Overwatch inspired build early on when it was living in a Fractal R5, beyond that Star Wars VII came out and BB-8 basically made me go... Well thats just it isnt it? So it began, a build on a white and orange (and eventually silver as well) theme, inspired by a small cute droid. Moving forward ill be taking A LOT more photos and also video if I can help it. I have pretty basic painting experience and have built a fair few PC's for either family, friends, the odd client or myself (nearish to 40 in my time over the years). I'll do my best to detail my steps and I will add to this moving forward (probably a post per part format maybemaybe?). Thought it might be a bit of fun List of parts as of current: NZXT S340 Elite White i7 6700k MSI Z170 Gaming Carbon Motherboard 16GB of Kingston (I think?) RAM (getting replaced) GTX 1080Ti (was a 1070) (to be painted watch this space) Corsair H115 GTX (partial painted) 4x Corsair White LED "Mag-Lev" fans (3x 140mm, 1x 120mm) (painted) EVGA 750W G2 Power Supply Samsung 840 and 850 EVO (120GB and 500GB respectively) DIY custom cables from Cablemod WD Red 2TB HDD. Other bits for those that care: Acer X34 3440x1440 Main Monitor Benq 24" 1080p Side Monitor Corsair K70 (painted) Razer Naga Epic Seinheiser Game One Headset Razer Goliathus (or whatever its called) Overwatch Themed Mat If anyone has any questions about methods, materials, details about bits being taken apart etc etc please dont hesitate to ask

Hi guys, I've had my asus n752-vx laptop for over a year now (running it absolutely every single day) and haven't had a single issue(knocks on wood). However, recently when I woke up one day I noticed that the battery light was blinking orange. Tried that method with turning it off and then holding the power key for a few seconds when asus logo appears but that fixed it until the next shut down. I don't have any issues regarding battery, it's all charging up and stuff but it's kind of worrying me this light, any suggestions on how to fix it permanently?

This is Operation: Open Air. This is a case/dual rig that because the ridiculous heat in Michigan recently and especially in the room of this machine is getting so hot that I needed to take these machines out of their natural habitat and migrate them into an open air case... Now I personally love open air mining rigs because the simplicity and I love the way computers internals look and a near sealed case removes the techy look to the components. So with both of those in mind (and also one rig Is meant for mining) I created this project and here's how it went. I had some random angle iron in the garage, marked it up, waited a week for my brother to finally cut them and then realized none of it was actually 90' and this would be the most frustrating build I've ever done. So drilling into this was a pain as the metal is so thicc and it doesn't like to be penetrated which eventually led me during the build process to be so angry I threw the entire thing across the garage and a beam went half way into a cardboard box... How inspiring. Eventually frustrated with the problem of wood splitting and the metal being so thicc and hard to work with I said screw it and moved to wooden pillars vs metal as it was relatively easier to work with. Now that it's (relatively) completed, I do like the way it turned out and that means I will be redoing the entire top portion of the case because it has many issues, there is a lot of sag and it's uneven the edges look terrible but other than that it's a great case. Purpose of machines - Main Machine - Gaming - Programming - General Youtube / internet browsing - Alternative Machine - Mining - Server (If needed for the programming on the main machine) Current Specs - Main Machine Motherboard Asus Z87-C RAM [DDR3] PATRIOT Viper Extreme (x2) 8GB & (2x) 8GB PNY (Not sure the exact model for these, got them from my dads old rig) GPU XFX R9 270X CPU i7 4770k 3.5GHz (3.9GHz w/ Overclock) PSU [currently unknown] - Alternative Machine Motherboard Unknown RAM [DDR3] GSkill 4GB GPU XFX HD 6750 CPU AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1035T 2.6GHz PSU Unknown random Dell PSU from a batch of old machines for a business - Case - Fans - x2 Delta Server Fans (when room temp is above 70-80') - Soon to be a row of misc random fans, unless I purchase / get a sponsor for fans If you have any ideas for this that you think would be cool additions let me know! Future Plans - Rebuild top of the case - Completely uneven/looks bad - Create wall of Orange LED Fans - Cosmetics - Temperature Dispersion - Complete Repaint - It looks terrible, Scratched to hell during build process - USB Risers - They look better than ribbon cable risers. - They are also safer than ribbon cable risers [This thread will be showing my progress, so if you'd like to follow it I would be honored!] Media Updates

Hey, so for my senior project I decided to build a computer case. I pushed my self with a risk adventure which turned out better than I expected so far. I wanted to show off my case to hopefully get some opinions and different viewpoints on this case. I want to say that I fully design the case in cycles blender and the only thing that I fully didn't do was build the 20" by 20" chassis which was done by my mentor at my local tin shop. I am aware there are some imperfections which will be dealt with later just for a side note. I hope you guys find this build amusing to the eye. I will show some step by step processes that I did with photos. The photos do not obtain any of the hardware I will be putting inside besides the fans. CPU:Intel Core i7-7700k M/B: GIGABYTE AORUS GA-Z270X-Gaming K5 GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB DDR4 3200 STORAGE: Samsung 850 EVO 256GB SSD STORAGE: (2x) Seagate 2TB BarraCuda The design: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE! I finished the final product which took me so long to do! I hope you guys enjoy!! It's a little messy I know but I'm going to work on the cable management a bit better. I would now like to present to you temperatures during idle and gaming TEMPS: CPU (Fan rpm was fixed at 1000 rpm during this test) Idle: 26C-32C Gaming: 29C-52C Blender: 32C-58C (CYCLES RENDER SAMPLES 1000) GPU Fan rpm was fixed at 40% on CAM (1450-1500 RPM) Idle: 25C-29C Gaming: 27C-40C Blender: 45C-53C (CYCLES RENDER SAMPLES 1000) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The design took me 6 months to fully finalize use blender. Building the chassis at my local tin shop. I had a difficult time with designing the case when the chassis was built because I unintentionally sealed the back panel so I couldn't access the back of the computer in like in a standard case. Trying to decide to use either wood or acrylic. (which I used acrylic ) I was planning to use 3 fans for the top for intake, 3 fans on the back panel out the exhaust, and 2 fans on the bottom that circulates air under the cover. Drilling screw holes for fans: My first design for the air flow holes was drilling 8 by 8 holes for each fan (64) for 8 fans so 512 holes until I found a hole saw which was my best friend Using some engineering skills to make the legs of the case out of a smart robot I got from a tech store. (also don't mind the mess haha) Honestly, this was the part that I'm most proud of due to how oddly successful this was. The power supply and hardware cover was the hardest part. I went through 3 12" by 20" acrylic panels to finally finish this portion My first cover I broke in half which bending it with a heat gun, my second one I overpainted it with loads of drips and bubbles. Making sure everything fits (next 2 photos): You can see here that I went with the 64 holes for each fan on the back panel. This was before I found out about the hole saw. The outcome: Don't mind the nasty rgb strip (was for a test) This has honestly kicked my butt but I'm happy so far of how it turned out. If you have questions please do ask I would love to answer any questions. I know I left out a lot of the building process as well but this was just a short post. Please also leave feedback if wanted. It will really help me.

Hey, I have a dual monitor setup and yesterday I booted up and opened chrome and it had a blue light filter on it. When I switched chrome to my second display it returned to its normal state. I completely closed out of flux. This only happens on chrome (no other applications) so I don't know if Displays is the right topic for this. I don't think monitor brands are relevant here considering this only happens on one application. This only started happening recently and I have no idea what is causing it. Thanks

I have an iPhone 7 on EE. My Dad has a Sony on Orange, and my Mum has an iPhone 4 on Orange. All of a sudden (since I went from Sheffield, UK to Cornwall, UK for a holiday which I'm now back from) I can't receive texts from either of them. I can receive texts from other numbers, and I can send texts to my mum & dad. My mum can send me iMessages but not normal texts when she has no internet connection. Also, they can still call me and I can still call them, and we can contact each other normally on WhatsApp. I've checked my message block list and they are not on there. Any ideas why they can't text me anymore and how to fix it?

Im looking to purchase a mechanical keyboard but i'm not great with key switch types. I want the keys to be mostly silent but have a mechanical feel, and i also dont want them to feel to heavy. What kinds of switches or keyboards should I be looking out for?
-
What is the difference's between these two? Currently i have a Corsair K40 Raptor which is fairly silent. Would there be any beneficial to go for the "Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 Orange" instead of ?"Corsair Strafe RGB Silent MX"? Will there be a big difference between Orange MX? and Silent MX?

Okay, so I would like to admit that I already have built a beast gaming PC with an overclocked i5 6600K and an (also overclocked) MSI GTX 1070. However, I am planning on selling this PC off next year to buy parts for my next PC, which will have an AMD Ryzen 7, or an Intel Core i7 (or if they release another i9 line). This PC will have a fully custom water cooling loop, and it will be themed around the Tron character, Rinzler, who has a black and orange color scheme. Basically, I need a water coolant that is A: Orange, and B: Looks like the picture i've added (basically, I want it to kinda have that "glow" effect that the water coolant in the picture has). Links and suggestions are all I need my dudes. Thanks! (EDIT: This PC is not mine, its just what i want my coolant to look like)
