first off i don't know if this goes here but i found an 1070 oc 8gb for £340 on amazon its used and "very good" condition would it be worth getting as i'm upgrading from my 970s due to a error 43 has anyone had any experience buying used gpus off amazon?

I've always wanted to build one since early 2000's because my last desktop was a Compaq presario from mid 90's to 02-ish? So that died and I had to get something quickly as an alternative so I ended getting an old/used Dell inspiron from a local pawnshop. Served me a few extra years until that died around 07. By this time cellphones was getting "smarter" and that's pretty much all I've used since until now and I always wanted to build a pc but never got around to it. With this being said, I am completely out of the loop when it comes to PC spec talks. I've been watching many many videos about everything related in general or to a particular component. Some things are still a blur too as I'm trying to figure out if my current configuration if it's up to par or if any needs to be changed. The reason I went with pre-built was due to getting a GPU and to have a overall starting point. Ofcourse it's not the same as fully building one but if I did my research correctly, my pc has room for improvements. So I finally received my pc two days ago which I have yet to start up. Did an A-Z check through to see if anything is loose or over tightened (which some screws were) cleaned up the cables a bit amd did some research now that I have it and able to tell what exactly I payed for. If the motherboard is using an older BIOS version, upgrading the BIOS will be necessary to support the CPU. So i searched for this and looked at some videos, many comments are saying not to do this because it's irreversible and bad. I'm concerned if it was already done to it or not and I'm not sure if that warning is legit or I have overlooked something. I'm trying to see what parts is upgradable as is currently stands. I know the 120AIO needs to go for a 240 atleast and some extra fans as this case isn't the best for flow unless I'm overthinking Please help this n00b out! Thank you

Dear Linus Team, I have been watching your Videos for a long time now and have learnt a lot from you. One reason I am watching is that most of your reviews are very unbiased, leaving the viewer with the ability to make their own decisions. However, recently I have been noticing a trend in your videos that turn more and more into biased / opinion driven content. I`ll use your recent video about the audiophile network switch. Overall the video clearly points out a problematic product that seems to decieve the customer. But specifically in the first part where Linus takes a look at the website and the product in general, It is absolutely biased and with yet no proof given. Opinions are to be told, but only after facts and data are presented so that the viewer can decide for him/her self wether they agree or not. Maybe putting that part after the tests and starting of neutral would be a better approach. Also, I didn`t think the tests you did were sufficient, as one viewer commented: " dungeonseeker Its actually incredibly easy to compare two audio waveforms thanks to waveform interferometry. Grab a really high quality PCM recorded, record a .wav from each stream, pull both waveforms into an audio editor, invert one of them then combine them together and you will be left with the exact difference between the two. " The rest of the video was just as informative and great as I am used to by your channel. A similar Issue was presented in a video about apple. While you did address it in the podcast, i don`t think the real issue is solved yet. Opinions have to clearly presented as such. Ranting cant be included in a level headed review. It helps neither the reputability of your channel/reviews, nor does it help the viewer decide what is best for them. (And btw, I am not defending apple on the points you made, i believe many of them are true / are valid opinions and criticism. I am just not happy with the way the were talked about/ brought up.) Being unbiased and level headed in reviews is extremly important. Expecially if you are trying to bring these tests closer to a wider audience and making them more understandable / reputable comes with sticking to facts, as you always have to back up your opinions. Even more so to a big audience, where you have an actual responsibility to do so. I hope you consider my criticism and maybe dial back the opinionated content, as you have for so many amazing videos in the past. I have come across a friend whos selling his gtx 1070 8gb and a 550 W isignia power supply for 200. Is that a good deal ? What budget cpu would you recommend as my amd fx 6350 will bottleneck it. Also would the 550 W power supply be able to handle all this hardware. Thanks

Hi again xD, Recently I have made many parts lists for a £750 budget system and asked for opinions on the forum (which has been a great help ) and I now have my final revision. I'm trying to target 1440p gaming (60fps+), mid cad/rendering work and light-mid work in the adobe suite. I live in the UK and would be looking to purchase in August as this is a replacement for my recently deceased system. Ignore the psu, its just a price place holder until a nice unit is back in stock. I also have an SSD to throw in so I don't need to worry about storage . Hey everyone, what do you all recommend for efficient cooling radiator-wise for a decent CPU overclock and slightly OCed GTX 1080s? Was thinking since they are preicey right now was planning to get one now and the minute the Price drops significant enough, buy another and SLI. I am looking to seriously get into 1440p gaming. CPU I was looking at was an i7 6850K and an OC from 3.6GHz to at least 4.3-4.5 roughly nothing crazy just a decent OC and was trying to get the 1080s as close to 2100MHz as possible without over exerting the GPU. Will be gaming heavily but casually and want enough GPU OC to get a score I can be proud of in BenchMarks. 240mm, 360mm,480mm...which rad for cpu? and for 2nd Rad for GPUs 240mm or a 360mm for dual 1080s ? These are the two I was looking at, rly am an EVGA fan through an through, but when I saw this 1 i fell in love but at same time felt like I would be cheating on EVGA lol. Hey everyone just a quick question, interested in everyone's Opinions. As it stands as we all know, the 1080s OC performance margins aren't that great as far as wiggle room, and I'm not too sure about the 1070 OC capabilities besides them having less CUDA cores than the 1080. My question is would you all get: a) Single 1080 FTW b) SLi 1080 FTWs c) Single 1070 FTW d) SLi 1070 FTWs e) Single TITAN XP f) or SLi TITAN XPs I was planning on getting the ACER Predator 3440x1440p 100Hz G-Sync 34" monitor at some point as an upgrade from my current 27" Samsung 1080p monitor that runs @60Hz and depending on the numbers performance wise (15%+ increase instead of a lame 5-10%), I was thinking on upgrading my 4th Gen Haswell i7 4770k to a 7th Gen i7 7700k KabyLake or to revamp my ENTIRE system and get either a 5930K, 5960X or a 6900K on an X99 platform. Please let me hear your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

So I'm making the jump to x99. Picking up a 5820k, unfortunately budget is a little tight. Is the msi X99A Raider a decent mobo or should a sit on it for a month or so and get a different one ? Things to note: will be pairing with a aio water loop, probably the new nzxt line because shiny. But also open to suggestions there. All told with loop mobo and cpu budget should fit about 600$ usd.
