I heard about the refreshed Xbox Series X on GameLinked as thats where I get all of my gaming news. lol But as you can deduce from the title, I'm a bit disappointed that it's digital only. I understand that discs for modern consoles act simply as glorified download codes, but like I want my wall of plastic cases! XD So I was pondering if this is actually a bad thing though. There is the concern of ownership for certain, but like maybe this isn't a bad thing? Steamdeck is digital only and the PC space has effectively been digital only for years now. Has the time come? Am I old now? Is it just an old woman yelling at the sun when I say I want and will continue for as long as possible to purchase physical media regardless? lol Though I was curious as to people's thoughts on the subject manner. Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing? Also is Riley really that white? Him and I might have something in common after all! XD

Yes as it says would using my ssd just for the page file so it can be anything from 1mb to 250GB. My main SSD is same ssd same size but since cod mw is to big and I see really any benafit using a standerd HDD since it only needs to load my game it will be fine? it's 1 16TB Iron Wolf as storage and 10tb WD black as main storage and games.

Hey All, I just got my Nintendo Switch and I got 1-2 switch because it's a fun party game but in the box/online it says it has 28 mini games but when I play the game I'm only able to select 7?? I pressed all the possible buttons AFAIK but I can't seem to get the other games and I can't find any info online if you either you unlock the other by playing them all (I already played 4 and nothing happened) or if the rest comes with an update or some other magic button needs to be pressed. Who can help me out here? Thanks

So I have a Gigabyte GA-Z270 Ultra Gaming motherboard, and it has RGB fusion built in with a 5-pin RGB header on it. I have a LEDMO led strip, well 1m of a 5m roll, plugged into it using an adaptor and it used to be working fine, going all possible colours. However, it has recently stopped working in the way it is intended to... It now only lights up a white / blue colour, and no changing of effects and so forth in the RGB Fusion software has changed this. The LEDs on the motherboard itself work fine, so I have determined it is a problem with the actual header - but I do not see anything immediately wrong with my eyes. I have tried using the strips without the adaptor, I have tried using a different section of the same strip and it is always the same result. It is as if the motherboard cannot control which LEDs are on correctly, as white means they're all on. Is there anything I can do to fix this myself, or is it something I'll have to take up with Gigabyte? Thanks -

Pure Wings 2) -OLD CPU Cooling(air): be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 (2x be quiet! SilentWings ) -Grafics Card: Asus Strix 1080ti 11G -Case Fans: 3x Corsair AF140L Fan Configs: -OLD: 2 at the front(in)[lower one controled through the Grafics Card], 1 at the Back(out), and the Tower Cooler was oriented so that the two fans on it would blow the air out through the fan in the back -NEW: 2 at the front (out)[lower one controled through the Grafics Card], 1 at the Back (in)[controled through grafics card], 3 as pull through the radiator (in) Ok, so the Problem is: After switching to the Water Cooler I hear a strange noise (ONLY while gaming and ONLY with the Case Closed). I would describe the noise as a frequent change in Rotation speed of a Fan. I Already checked if it was a Certain Fan(unpluging one after the other[many reboots]) but it was always there. I have only two thing I would need to still try out, but well one is expensive(changing out all fans) and the other would be the one i will try now... changing the ins and outs to a recomendet config for this case. I've been looking around for some DDR3 for a build I'm working on. Though while looking, I stumbled across several sellers advertising so called "AMD only" memory. In most cases, their "Intel" memory costs 50% more for what to me seems like the same.I've heard of older Intel systems not supporting as many memory chips on the modules as AMD, though I didn't think this was the case for DDR3 as well?If anyone has any experience with "AMD only" memory or have extended knowledge about memory compatibility across platforms, please do let me know. I've been curious about this for a while now. I currently have my network configured to directly RDP into my primary machine, which is a bit of a vulnerability. I've also got an OpenVPN server on a raspberry pi which works great for RDP but isn't an option at work or on most other computers I may want to connect from, as all of my traffic will go through the VPN, which is not desirable. What I'd love to do is restrict the VPN so that it only protects the RDP connection and routes all other traffic normally. Better yet, it'd be great if I could have a portable openvpn client, complete with a certificate, on a thumbdrive that I can connect to any computer (I'd only do this on trusted devices, just ones that I can't install apps on, such as a friend's pc). Is there any feasible way of accomplishing this?

I had a idea when i was working with a old computer , it had 2 broken fan blades and it vibrated a lot so i tried to replace the fan and i found a fan but it was to large to use it but then i thought can you cool it with only a fan and without a heatsink but i dont want to test it because that hardware i am working or testing is really old (a pentium 4 is kinda new with these computers) and i also was thinking to prank one of my friends with a fan cooling my ryzen cpu on my main computer. -
I'll keep it short: Yesterday I bought a brand new 1 TB SSHD to replace my older 300 GB hard drive. I used Macrium Reflect to clone the old disk on to the new one. When I go into windows explorer, it says the new drive is only 300 GB when it should be 1 TB. I know this is a partioning issue, but how do I fix it?

Welcome. Recently, I've been playing Cities: Skylines again, and I've decided to download mods. I decided to see if anything was "in the way", though, in terms of programs using CPU power/RAM, and I noticed that C:S was using almost 100% of my RAM, which is beyond ridiculous. I've only got about 400 mods/assets in the game, whereas I've seen people with 8-16GB of RAM running 1000 assets smoothly, for example, see: So, my question is, is there some way to stop C:S from using so much RAM, or is there possibly something wrong with my current RAM? Do I really need to get another 8-16GB of RAM so that C:S stops using it all? Thanks.

OLED (AMOLED for phones) seems to be fairly common on the market when you look at higher end tv's and phones, yet I have not seen many laptop, or desktop monitors that use the tech. Think there was an alienware laptop that recently released with an OLED panel. Why is it not more common on the desktop market, because on would assume the advantages of OLED like lower response times would benefit the desktop market more than phones and TV's.

I'm sorry for polluting the forums with this post, some of the things I say will probably make you cringe. You have been warned. So about 4-6 years ago, my mother bought us an xbox 360. Why? Because she wanted to use it for Dance Central and Just Dance. When she bought it though she had got it J-Tagged. She doesn't believe in buying the games legit and she thinks pirating it is a cheaper option and it would make no difference. Now fast forward to today and it's just pretty much sitting there, collecting dust. Now i'm interested in creating an XBL account and playing online, but the second to the last thing I want is it to get bricked. Now I'm asking you guys, the LTT community, if you know if its even possible to un-jtag an xbox 360? If possible, how? (upgrading to the next-gen consoles is pretty much not an option for me right now. Unless of course you guys know some sort of way for a 14 yr. old to get some kind of decent paying job.) Hi, I have solved the issue, This more of a warning than anything else. So, here we go. When developing an app, I typically just install the app to my phone (LG E971 or LG Optimus G) and debug from there. The issue of VelocityTracker.recycle() appeared literally as I was about to push the app out the door to friends that requested it. So heres the issue: (assume all code shown functions as expected on android 4.4 and below. "...." indicates a removal of code to keep to the topic. public boolean onTouchEvent(MotionEvent mv) { int id = mv.getActionIndex(); int act = mv.getActionMasked(); int pointer = mv.getPointerId(id); switch (act) { case MotionEvent.ACTION_DOWN: .... case MotionEvent.ACTION_CANCEL: mVelocityTracker.recycle(); break; } As you notice VelocityTracker.recycle() is called in the case of MotionEvent.ACTION_CANCEL. Now its completely possible for this case to happen twice in a row, on non-5 flavors of android, no exception will be thrown, it will behave as if it just ignored the second calling of .recycle(). Now, on android 5, if the .recycle() is called twice, it will throw the "IllegalStateException" claiming that the the memory has already been added to the pool. The solution: Super simple: //trycatch to fix android 5 only bug. FFS. try { mVelocityTracker.recycle(); break; } catch(IllegalStateException e) {break;} Conclusion: No idea why there was a behavior change, nor do I care; it may just be a bug in Android 5. I made this post for those who maybe very confused at what is happening to their app on very specific versions of android.

the documentation on nvidias website claims you need a nvidia gpu for nvidia experience which has the driver for shield controller. heres the problem, my main pc only has AMD hardware, I like the shield controller better than the 360 controller, i would like to use the shield controller for pc racing games. where do i get the driver for the controller? i have it plugged in and there is no apparent detection under 'usb game controllers'

Hey forum, I thought I'd ask you guys, since this has been annoying me for a while now and I can't seem to find out what's causing it: I recently built myself a new main rig, and installed a brand new copy of windows 8.1 on the SSD. I also have two HDDs in there, a 1TB seagate drive (new) and an old 500 GB Hitachi drive I used to have in my old setup. before putting the old HDD in, I formatted it, backing up only the data I needed. Now when I boot up, I notice two things: number one is that the system will not boot into windows if I unplug any of the HDDs, even though I installed windows 8.1 to the SSD and not the HDDs. Number two is that every time I boot up, it gives me a selection of two operating systems to choose from. It asks me to pick either windows 8.1 or windows 7. But I don't have windows 7 installed anywhere... it used to be on my old Hitachi drive, but that was formatted before I put it in the new rig, so I don't understand where my PC is getting the idea, that it has windows 7 installed, from Does anyone know how to stop it from asking me to pick an OS, and does anybody know why windows has appaerently been installed to all 3 of my drives, instead of just the 1 SSD I asked it to install to? -
So, like, it only downloads the audio and lets you play it as such? This way it's far less data intensive which is good for a wide number of reasons. Just curious if a thing like this exists. Thanks. -
Hey, LTT forum. I recently bought a single 4GB stick to add to my other single 4GB stick on my MSI 970A-g46 mobo. I installed them in the same color coded slots to run them in dual channel, they're not exactly the same, they're both Kingston HyperX 1600MHz CL 9 sticks but they are not the same model and I just realized that I'm only using 4GB, Windows says "8.00GB (only 3.97 usable)" could this be because they can't run in dual channel because they're not exactly the same model? Should I install them in different color slots and run them single channel?

Hey all, Has anyone experienced this lately? It's really annoying. I've tried disabling all plugins and enabling them one by one but nothing seems to work. Another weird thing is that I disabled the Flash-player plugins and expected the audio to stop as well but it just keeps playing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. -thishanTANTRUM
