hi, i have one problem regarding this motherboard Rampage 6 extreme omega. The motherboard is not currently connected to the power supply, and I need to buy a power supply, the motherboard is brand new out of the box. I found on the dimm slot C2 a few pins are not soldered, do any of you have the same on your motherboard? is it a big problem and that dimm slot won't work or is it irrelevant since the pins are soldered only from the bottom of the board? I was supposed to turn on this pc at the end of this month, but at the moment I'm not sure if this works on the operation of this dimm slot, please help from those of you who have this motherboard and who know something more about it. thank you

Hello everyone , first post :) I am starting my first PC build in almost a decade since my previous one , am a little bit rusty and am having some unexpected trouble getting my mobo installed. Am using a corsair 1000D case and a Rampage Extreme Omega Mobo. The problem is that I can only screw in 5 of the 8 screws for securing the motherboard to the case. The screws just wont reach far enough to meet the threads of the standoffs already mounted in place by Corsair. The cause of this seems to be the motherboard's backplate which covers the part of the board that those 3 screws are supposed to go , basically rendering the motherboard a few mm thicker in that area , thus the screws are just too short to reach the threads they were supposed to go in. What should I do ? the mobo seems very securely held with those 5 screws....... Do i really need those extra 3 ? Or should i try to buy longer screws and put them in ? Or should I try to remove the mobo back plate ? (something am really not looking forward to doing since am a bit of a noob )

Welcome to my first review! Wassup mga PRE! The Tecware Omega. But before we take a look on the case, I believe you guys know about Corsair, Bitfenix, Cougar, NZXT, and more but how about Tecware? Ever heard of it? If not, here’s a few info to know more about them. Tecware is a local company here in the Philippines which started 2008 as a seller and distributor of PC Cases like this one. When it comes a time that the market of generic cases came down because of high end and extreme gaming cases, Tecware also made its way up and in lined with their competitors. Okay, now let’s proceed to the case we’re going to talk about: Tecware Omega. Actually, the original case I requested was the Tecware Infinity but at the time it was out of stock so we ended up with Tecware Omega. Now, packaging. The packaging of the case is quite good. They used hardware foam which is expected given that this is a local company but if they want to upgrade the quality of their packaging, they can use cell foam, just like what Linus usually say, or any thicker hardware foam so that when their shipments arrive in any province here in the Philippines or Internationally, damages will be prevented. So, Tecware Omega has a Super USB 3.0, HD Audio plus USB 2.0. Bottom-mount PSU with washable anti-dust filter, 3x Tool Free 5.25 inch base and 2x SSD Support. When you purchase this case, there will be a 120mm red LED fan for the front and another 120mm fan for the rear and side panel included. This chassis has a black interior so it will definitely look good with its side panel tinted window. It can support long graphics card, tower heatsinks up to 6.3 inches and it also has an easy access CPU Cutout. The first thing to tell you about this case is that it is very affordable, very appropriate for budget builders out there who wants standard ATX case that has decent cable management, has dust filters, and can support long graphics card like GTX 750, GTX 960, Toxic, typically among those. This case can also support coolers up to 6.3 inches so it absolutely has a perfect fit for the famous Hyper 212x by CoolerMaster. It already has a windowed side panel which added up more to its cool look. Looking at its cons, I figured that it's actually connected to the case’s pros. I had a hard time removing the dust filter located at the front, maybe it was actually meant not to be taken off so I suggest that whenever you perform a maintenance for this case, remove the whole front panel then be careful not to damage the wires then wash it with water or use a vacuum to clean it because I don’t think you can put it back on again once you removed it. But the dust filter located at the bottom caused no trouble at all. SSD mount at back. SSD mount at the back slightly bends so when I first took off the case from the packaging, when I checked the SSD mount at the back, it actually bended so it’s not straight anymore. I strongly recommend Tecware that make it straight just like the one you did for the HDD Bay located inside the case because if you use single holes, the SSD mount might really end up being bended easily. Cable Management. Tecware Omega’s cable management portion is actually narrow unless you use a modular PSU, where you may not have a hard time doing cable management with. I suggest Tecware that you extend the case’s cable management space for about an inch or even a size of a finger so it can help doing cable management alongside with the case’s slightly-convexed or humped side panel at the back. Front IO wires. When it comes to the front IO wires of the case, what I don’t like is the colors. It has white, blue, yellow which I prefer black except for the USB 3.0 of course. By doing so the insides of the case would look more stylistic. Having assorted colors for IO wires will definitely catch attention even if your cables are well-managed. But if you sleeved all your cables, that will probably solve the problem. Additional problem for the cable management is the rubber grommets. Yes, it has holes, slots for cable routes but it doesn’t have any rubber grommet. Having such can provide a good look at the insides of your rig when looking at it from the window panels. So there you go! Our conclusion for this case is that again I recommend this one for first-time builders of their pc because of its affordability, its available features and its standard and micro ATX form compatibility. Because of the available features of this case, it would be great if you buy Tecware Omega or its older brother: Tecware Infinity which is actually better than this one because it has a top panel and top mounted fans. Rather than buying generic cases, I highly recommend buying Tecware cases because of their build quality that is quite good, nothing special but that’s expected from a company that’s hardly known by most but other than that their Omega case is actually fine. Can someone explain me how to enable supersampling in the new and driver omega?? If someone is curious is mostly to Path of Exile which run at 100+ fps on my pc so i think i will really benefit from it due to the fact that my monitor is only 60Hz That you very much for your help PS: my card is 7870xt (tahiti Le) Edit: my card is not supported, close this for me being so dumb

so I noticed that in the latest AMD driver (omega) that they brought back something that has been missing from the menus for a while now, cpu auto tune. but, I'm not sure it's working right... wait, is task manager saying it's running at a lower frequency than before?? I need an adult. soo..... I have three different programs saying three different things, any thoughts?

Which one should I buy Asus Gtx 980 Strix or Zotac Gtx 980 AMP Omega Edition? On paper the zotac is better. What about overclocking? I have had a bad experince with Zotac card in the past are they reliable now?

Concepts: Original FT02 Build: 900D Concept: I'll be going for a white alternative to that instead of green now. ;) External Power Switch: The case will be at the back of the room behind the desk, so for ease of access i am building up an external power switch using a spare PCI bracket, some buttons and a stereo cable between the PC and the box. When the cable in the back is removed, the circuit breaks and gives functionality back to the case power and reset. Concept: Progress: 11/06/2013 and earlier 12/06/2013 Ok, started my first attempt at sleeving a spare cable... :( But it failed! Yeah... I put it too close to the hob and melted the plastic lol. I did better on the other side though. TBC... And here it comes... 11/06/2013 and earlier Headset arrives! (With the 3.5mm cable for the power thingy :D) Haribo! One of these is mine :D And here it is! It's Massive! PSU and SSD Arrive too. PSU unboxing: Speakers came a while back: 12/06/2013 And it emerges out of the box from whence it came! Placed on my desk. The box takes up half of my room. Nowhere else to put it yet though... It doesn't even fit through the door to the loft where everything else is kept. :P Shiny fans "Installed" the PSU and the SSD I "Stole" some grommets from my CM 690 II :D They fit exactly as I hoped. When i cover up all the unused holes, these will do nicely for the 8pins to hide the open holes at the top. I think I'll look for some sleeving for the PSU next while I wait for the motherboard that I want to be released :D Update: 19/06/2013 A few changes to my build: I'll be doing for a black background as usual with white as a secondary colour, but adding orange highlights. I can get a cheaper board now that is still good, and fits in with the colour scheme. I can also use the orange square on my SSD. This adds a splash of warmth to the build :D I got my sleeving and utilities and a 4pin extension to test on. here's the "before" shot: The ATX pin remover tool Unfortunately it didn't manage to remove a single pin... So I picked up some paperclips and made my own tool :P measuring the wire length for sleeving voila! Managed to stick on the ends and stop them fraying with contact adhesive. Let's see if it lasts All sleeved! Looks better than I first expected. (I have orange and white heat shrink as a backup) The money shot: I also got some larger grommets as an alternative at the top.
