Guys I've spent troubleshooting a week and still can't play HDR through my laptop. Spent a few days on different HDMI cables before checking my laptop specs and finding out that it has 1.4 hdmi port and not 2.0 as required by spec. My laptop has 2 Thunderbolt3 ports, which was my next attempt, and I was sure it was going to work easy. I bought adapter (Ugreen 70444) which says supports 4k60 and uses VL100 chipset. Using adapter and good cable Windows still doesn't recognize my C3 as an HDR supported display. I tried latest GPU driver from Intel and latest driver from Lenovo, nothing changes. Also the Thunderbolt 3 app doesn't detect anything while adapter+cable are connected(Should it?) I have collection of blurays ripped to my NAS and jus't cant wait to watch the 4K HDR LOTR. HELP! I hope this is somehow fixable and I dont need new computer!

Hi, I'm planning to buy a new monitor this summer Budget: 25 000CZK / 1080USD GPU: 7900 XT Requirements: -OLED display What I've been looking at reviews etc., I like the two monitors ASUS PG27AQDM and ASUS PG32UCDM I'm more interested in the PG32UCDM (Czech price 1 800 USD) but for that one I doubt it will drop 853 USD in price in 3/4 months so that one is out. And the other one I also found good and I'll probably choose it but before that I'd rather come here to ask if there are any better alternatives etc.

Budget (including currency): around 1000€ Country: Estonia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: All the games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Existing parts are in my profile, but main parts are Intel i5 14600KF, 64GB DDR4 3600MT/s, RTX 4070. The prices here are not like anywhere else. AW2725DF price when it becomes available is ~840€ Is there any 27" 240Hz+ OLED that's better? The cheaper the better, but the performance should be on the level with AW2725DF For instance AOC AG276QZD costs about same here, but is not better in any aspect, at least by reviews.

Hi everyone, I was playing F1 23 HDR for 1-2 Hours, shut down my PC and got some Food. After turning my PC back on, I noticed a vertical while Line of Pixels across the Screen. It is even streaking beyond the normal Display-Output of my PC, probably for Pixel-Shift Im guessing? I thought this was an issue with my GPU/Cable at first, but when I replaced the Cable and tried a different Output-Device it was still present, so I looked in the Monitor-Menu without anything being connected. - It was still there... Then I reran Pixel-Cleaning a couple of times and even reflashed the Firmware, all to no avail sadly, so I started an RMA with the Shop where I bought it. I also wondered if it was damaged somehow, but I did not see any Marks indicating Damage from the Outside on the Monitor. Has anyone experienced a similair Issue? Some Pictures of the Issue attached!

Hello, throwing a Hail Mary to see if anyone has more troubleshooting advice for a specific problem with my system. I've been having issues with what i think is driver related, but i'm super unsure. I've got a Samsung G9 OLED(FreeSync model) that i get somewhat frequent blackscreens with. The application that causes it varies, but it happens primarily while gaming. The screen will go totally black with the system still running & most of the times i have to do a hard reset on my PC with the powerbutton, go into device manager, disable/enable the driver from my graphics card a few times, then it sometimes will bring back the display. I've seen around other forums with people who have the same issue, but never a full resolution or one that has worked with me so far. _______________________________ System :: Ryzen AM5 7950x MSI X670E Carbon Wi-Fi w/ Trident Z Neo 64Gb DDR5 6000Mhz (4x16) PowerColor 7900XTX Red Devil Limited Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED 49" (G95SC) ________________________________ I've tried to Driver uninstall with DDU Update drivers via Andrenalin Graphic driver reload with Win-CTRL-B Disabling the generic windows driver so that it doesn't override the graphics card(solution found on other forums) Full OS reinstall (only worked for certain amount of time) Currently i uninstalled the graphics card drivers to reinstall through AMD Software, but now it has a popup with , "Windows update may have automatically replaced your AMD graphic driver. Hence the version of AMD software you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver" So the troubleshooting is basically compounding at this point because the version i re-installed is the same version i originally had & was "working". Ironically when i try to force the driver issue today, it's perfectly fine when i'm trying to dig through Event Viewer Logs. Any ideas is appreciated. I just want to make sure it's a graphics card issue or a motherboard issue before i start any RMA process. -Hawk

I’m thinking about getting the Alienware 1440p 360hz. In your opinion is such thing worth it for color, viewing angles etc. My main concern is the burn in what are shone ways I can’t prevent it and would it last me at least 2-3 years. My room is very dark and would prob be 30% brightness. I also have 4k Oled but it’s in brighter area and looks amazing main concern again being burn in from my pc.

Does the software for preventing burn-in on OLED monitors require Windows, or is it all managed entirely on the monitor? For example, could I have a Switch console connected to an OLED monitor for the entire life of that monitor and be fine? What about cases where the software works without Windows, but a Windows PC is still needed to configure (and maybe even setup) the anti burn-in software on occasion?

So I'm out of the loop with good OLEDs. I know it's supposedly really good for gaming and movies. Which is what I'll be using this display for. But my wall mount only supports a size of 200x200 VESA compatibility. Anything less than 42 Inches and under 65lbs would be perfect. And it MUST BE IN 4K! I AM TIRED OF 2K 165HZ! But I'm tired of my basic Corsair Xeneon 32-inch qhd monitor. I don't know good brands, good models, etc, I just want a good OLED. Also my desk is too small for the TV sized ones, and 42 Inches is the max size I can support with my jerry rigged wall mount that's barely holding on for dear life. So if anyone can point me to some models or good brands in general, I'm down to hear you out. With my only requirements being it's sub or 42-inches max and 200x200 vesa compatible. Tried searching myself but I'm not only stupid, I am probably looking at the wrong places. Any help, links, or suggestions is much obliged.

Hello, I recently bought a used PG27AQDM. Once I set it to 240hz 1440p, the screen tears/"wiggle" from time to time on the desktop, and especially in games (starcraft 2). I tried setting it to 1080p/240hz and 1440p/120hz and I've had zero trouble, but in 1440p/240hz it "tears" and sometime the screen goes black for a couple seconds. I have an msi gtx 1080ti, 32go of ram, a i5 7500 and I use a 1.4 Display port cable. It is still under the 2 year warranty. Should I send it back or is it the GPU that is bottlenecking me ? I'm almost done with my next build using a rx 6850xt and a 13700k i7, so should it keep that monitor for the new build ? I thank you all very much in advance, Sash

Good afternoon! I'm in the market for a 65" OLED. The LG C3 seems like a reasonable option, but I'm struggling to effectively compare it to not just Samsung and Sony but other options within its own lineup as well. The LG G3 is about $1k more, but it seems to have all the same features? I don't really have a budget max, but I'm not thrilled about spending more than ~$2k. I will if there's a compelling feature set. I tend to keep TVs for a long time - my current TV has been in service for ~15 years, so longevity is important. (I know burn in is a thing with OLEDs and they may not last that long - It's a risk I'm begrudgingly willing to take for the contrast, etc benefits.) Lastly, this will primarily be for watching movies - I don't really watch tv, sports, or play video games on my tvs. Any suggestions/thoughts to help guide me would be appreciated. Thanks, X

So the title pretty much says it all to be honest With this being the first time I can kinda splurge on a new tv, I'm wondering, Is it best to wait for CES announcements or get a new tv now while the "deals" are on? New / upgraded set for standard prices or grab a last gen tv at a slightly better price? Also can I get a 2023 set recommendation for a mid-end that has nice blacks but also vibrant colours? I'm stuck what to do but I'm 100% set on wanting an OLED some time soon. No idea if new OLED tech is coming out as this could completely change my decision (IE new tech = cheaper older sets)

All the TVs are similarly priced, and I'm unsure which to choose. Software isn't a major concern as l use an Apple TV. I also don't focus much on audio since I have a Sonos sound system, but eArc support is important. My primary use is for watching TV shows and movies, rarely news, and very rarely for gaming. I plan to use a wall mount. Could you suggest which TV would be best for me? Right now I am in doubt mostly between S90C and G2

OLED displays are extremely short-lived... I bought the LG C9 in August of 2020, not even 3 years, and today I noticed so many dead pixels on the top right corner... I only use this as TV purpose mainly for Netflix, Apple TV+ and Disney+, never use for monitor purpose. So far, there has been no burn-in, but this is the first time I've encountered dead pixel spreading on a display that has been in use for less than 3 years... The warranty period is 2 years, and they begin to exhibit bad symptoms after the warranty expires.... Now I am regret for not purchasing an extended warranty for it. Now I totally no confidence to plan use OLED panel display as PC monitor. The TV distance put is far, and dead pixels are unnoticeable, but this is not the case if used as a PC monitor.

Budget around 70k indian rupees($850) Requirements : Casual browsing, content watching, ms office. I really want a beautiful display to look at which is most probably will be delivered by an oled laptop with atleast 90hz refresh rate and good battery. I don't want anything bigger than a 14" screen size. Would appreciate if the fans don't go off even during casual browsing. Options are ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED, Intel Core i5-12500H 12th Gen 16gb ram - $850 Take a look at this ASUS Zenbook 14X OLED AMD Ryzen 5 Hexa Core 5600HS - 16 GB ram - $660 Take a look at this ASUS Vivobook S14 OLED Intel EVO H-Series Intel Core i5 12th Gen 12500H 16gb ram - $850

I am unable to get the monitor to display in fullscreen ultrawide. I've tried using the included DisplayPort cable, included micro HDMI-> HDMI cable as well as a 3rd party HDMI cable. I am however able to use half the screen in the Mutli View mode at 2560x1440 resolution @ 60Hz. Attempting to go fullscreen or raising the refresh rate to 120Hz results in a error message appearing. Monitor drivers and graphics drivers are up to date. GPU is a RTX 4090. https://imgur.com/a/n7niM73 I've tried the Samsung support chat without any luck. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you.

Hi guys, I know there are going to be new releases in 2024 with 32inch OLED monitors. I was thinking of waiting for the but I don't know how much they would cost or an estimate. If it was around 500 - 800. then I would wait but if it was over 800 and near 1500 then I'm out. Does anyone know the price or an estimate to these upcoming OLED monitors? This is the monitor I was planning to buy before I got new of the OLED monitors. Only buying this a its on sale!! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CCG359F7/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1

Valve just posted on YT and on the Steam Deck site that they are launching an OLED version with a bigger battery, lower temps, Wifi 6E and a OLED screen. I love this and if it weren't for the fact that I already have a deck I would for sure get this version for the improved battery life alone.

Hey Guys, this forum has always been a great source of valuable information, and I'm hoping you can assist me in my quest. Specifically, I'm in search of an OLED display that can be bent, as I'm researching innovative applications in my studies that require flexible displays. Ideally it would be 13" , refresh rate, color spectrum as well as resolution es negligible. If any of you have experience in sourcing flexible OLED displays or can recommend a way to acquire one, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share your knowledge with me. It would be a tremendous help if I could tap into your experiences and advice to find the right display. I thank you in advance for your assistance and look forward to learning from your experiences. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hows it going everyone? So I have an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED q409za. Here's the link to the ASUS product page. I bought it as an open box item and it had burn in on the screen from when it was a demo. The store shipped it off and they replaced the screen, motherboard, and SSD. Well the laptop came with a 2880x1800 resolution screen 90hz refresh rate, but it now has a 3840x2400 60hz screen. I am not sure why the screen is different now. The problem is playing 4k content or even hdr content. I cant get any higher than 1080p on prime video and disney+. I tried some of my purchased 4k movies on youtube and the best i get is 480p. I have tried the cyberlink ultra hd blu ray advisor and it says that I do not have intel SGX, advanced protection audio/video path (gpu). I have tried to find sgx in the bios but cannot find it as an option. I have tried the intel sgx tool it says it cannot enable/activate it. I have gone through all of the windows updates, intel updates, and asus updates. I am at a loss what to do or try. Willing to try basically anything. Intel Iris Xe Graphics (Alder Lake-P 682 GT2) - Integrated Graphics Controller [ASUS] Alder Lake-P GT2 Intel Alder Lake-P PCH Intel Core i5-1240P UX3402ZA.310 uefi bios windows 11 64bit Whatever info you need or want let me know. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys I’m kinda mixed in feelings. I own a BX6 for about 3 and a half. Amazing TV but missing the DTS forced me to use plex. Well life is that way. Now I wanna improve. I don’t have a sitting room so I will be using my desk and the bed as a couch. Distance is about max 2m. Now I’m using the LG of 55”. I’m considering to move to a 65” if doesn’t hurt the quality vs distance ofc. Also the prices in my country are different The LG C3 55” costs about 1499€ and the 65” costs 1999€ Samsungs S90C costs about the same for 55” but has a higher cost for 65” at 2249€ Oh then we have the G3. Sadly I will need a stand and I refuse to buy a original LG stand. There are alternatives I’m sure like the once used in this review channel. Costs about 40€ of that much. The 55” model costs 1789€ and 65” 2489€. So what model would u get!? I see alote movies and TV Shows. Mostly quality contente but I also own some low resolution shows. Gaming tes for sure. I own a PS5 and XSX

Hi ya'll I often find myself here when I'm deciding on what to buy next. While I do most of my research by myself, I usually want a 2nd opinion. Currently in the market for a laptop that would be used for programming, 3d design and video editting. I've found myself leaning towards Asus since Macbooks are a bit pricey here and the rest dont fit me (I would however take suggestions). The 2 laptops I'm currently looking at are at the same price with the main difference being that the Zenbook 13 is refurbished and the Vivobook is new. Leaning towards the Zenbook cuz of specs and the crisp OLED but would love to hear ya'lls thoughts. Specs are below: Zenbook i5-1135G7, 16GB LPDDR4X, 1TB NVME Vivobook I5-1235U, 8GB DDR4, 512GB NVME. I guess the Vivobook is an option cuz its new and cuz of the better processor but for my purpose, is it worth losing the additional ram and storage?.

Ever since I bought my OLED I've enjoyed playing games on it with HDR, but that's about it. I'm pretty sure that none of the movies I've watched on Prime or Disney Plus have been HDR, I do use LG's apps. At this point it feels like the only HDR content that I can watch are these 4k OLED demos on YouTube

laptop Looking for the best laptop on the market!
Evyatar posted a topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
Hello everyone So, basically, I'm looking for a laptop that should be the best in every aspect (at least for me). I've asked Chat GPT, friends, retailers and Google, but no one found the laptop that I'm looking for. So, maybe here, in LTT forums some one could be the resolver for my issue? Let's say that money isn't the issue. What I need from the device: 1. Display - 4k OLED, Touch, perfebly 120HZ but I'll be find with 60hz. Size does not matter for me. Small, big, medium... 2. Keyboard - Full keyboard with a numpad. 3. CPU & Ram - Don't really care, anything from ryzen 5 / Core i7 would be fine for me. Don't care of it's U/P/H version of a cpu. 4. Have pen integrated to the device 5. Optional - If possible, ethernet port? Currently the only device that fits what I'm looking for is the X1 Yoga Gen 8, but it's without the full keyboard! What else could you recommend for me? Thank you!
