I've been running on integrated graphics + GeForce Now for a while. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an EVGA RTX 3070 Ti FTW3 for close to MSRP on eBay. (Well, we'll see if I'm actually lucky and the box that arrives is actually as described. The only reason I ordered is eBay buyer protection, really. Considering eBay's cut, the seller has to be selling at a loss, which is highly suspicious.) Anyway, so I know my old system is probably going to be slower than my new graphics card. But by how much? Can I get away with postponing the rest of the upgrade, or am I likely to hate the experience? The problem is that I'd sworn to myself that my next build would be small form factor (got my eyes set on the CoolerMaster NR200). And the situation with Intel 12th gen compatible Mini ITX boards and DDR4/DDR5 is crazy. There aren't many motherboard choices in DDR4, and it feels kinda dumb to be buying DDR5 considering the price and performance difference at this point. This is the most reasonable part list I could put together, and... Hi all, I want to build a second PC so that my friends can play games with me when they come over. I’ll be looking to play games such as: Rocket League, Dauntless, Call of Duty (specifically Warzone, maybe Cold War), and Ark even if it’s on low settings. I have a Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 4GB DDR5 that I would like to use. I also have a CoolerMaster Hyper T2 and a CoolerMaster MasterAir G100M and I would prefer to use one of the two. Plus, plenty of storage. I want to keep the cost under 300 USD if at all possible, the lower the better though. Without ruining performance of course. If nothing else works I can go to 500 USD.

Hello, I need some advises. I 'm building a new PC and in the last 3 days I've read so many articles. I am a Full Stack developer, or I'm going to be. 1. Budget & Location My location is Greece and more specifically Athens, Greece and my budget is 800€ - 900€. 2. Aim As I said before I am a Full Stack developer, but I want to use my PC with Android Studio, Apache Tomcat, (I had major problems with both of them) and at least two Virtual Machines on Windows 10. The only game I am going to play is The Sims 4 3. Monitors I currently using two monitors (LG 25UM58-P , LG L1718S ) but the aim is to use at least 3 monitors. In the future I will replace the old monitor but not as long as it's working. 4. Peripherals I do the main peripherals like a cheap keyboard and an ok mouse.(When I have money I'll buy a good mechanical keyboard) 5. Why are you upgrading? Well..my last update was in 2006 ..I don't have to say anything else!! My build as I see it has both old and new parts. Hello there! Recently, i was all set to build a ryzen computer, with my parents willing to pay for half the price of the system. To put it simply, I F@@ked up my exams and so I'm left with 650sgd (460usd). this is my current system: i5-750 (3.7ghz oc) gt 710 msi p55-cd53 cooler master elite 431 plus acbel 400w psu 2 X 320gb hdd and i want to take on the challenge of building an old Xeon build (like the one Linus did) I live in Singapore and my local eBay is called carousell (www.carousell.com) and I spotted two Xeon e5620 for 15sgd (http://carousell.com/p/80740335/), quite a deal for two four core CPUs. Don't bother searching for a dual socket motherboard on there though. Hi there. This is my first post on here, and I would like to make it a (semi) good one. So, I'm currently looking for new parts, and I came across two options. Quick note that I already have some parts (ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1060 3gb, Corsair 430cx 430 watt psu, corsair 270r case, 240gb SATA SSD, 1tb 7.2k RPM HDD, 4x4 (16gb) PNY Optima 1333 mhz DDR3 memory for the intel build). I'm having trouble picking between these two PC lists: Intel: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rHvnV6 AMD: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jPT33b I used a bottleneck calculator (ik, ik, not reliable) and it had said that the AMD build had a 3.12% bottleneck, and the Intel build had a 0.001% bottleneck. I'm kind of concerned on the bottleneck percentage for the Intel bc of it being older. Can anyone please tell me which one will likely have a higher bottleneck percentage? Thanks.

Trying to get a new system together to replace my parent's older dell tower. Using some of my old parts and I'm running into some real issues getting windows to install on a new SSD. Here are as many specs as I can provide from memory, posting from work: ASRock 970M Pro3 Ripjaws, 8GB i believe AMD FX8350 NVidia gtx 710 1gb 450W PSU PNY 240GB SSD The errors I keep getting are these: "Error code 0x80070002" "Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms" Something about a "missing media driver" All of these errors seem arbitrary, as if I restart the windows installation process I am allowed to progress past where the previous error occured. The farthest I have gotten is 6% on the "getting files ready for installation" stage. It is 64bit windows 10 i believe, as whenever I select 32bit it restarts the prompt until i select 64. Thanks for the help, and I will provide any additional information I can.

Hello, i'm new here so I hope I have posted this in the correct place. A while ago, I had been experience some sort of start up issue where my PC would turn on which was indicated by the blue light next to my power button plus general sounds coming from the PC followed by a black screen on my monitor. My monitor would also turn on as the power light would come on and would show the company logo before saying there was no signal followed by a black screen. I managed to get it back on by turning it on and off multiple times and sometimes by leaving it for a day and then turning it back on. Once back on I was shown a screen that stated my overclocked CPU had failed. I tried turning it off to no success. (I changed one setting which I cannot remember) I then replaced the CPU with another. The same issue continued with the black screen, once getting it to not display a black screen it then said "overclock failed" I then thought maybe my RAM was overclocked too, so I disabled the XMP profile. I still continue to have the same black screen issue but now I don't have any error messages. Maybe I have messed up the BIOS or overclocking settings? As far as i'm aware my new CPU isn't overclocked plus the model won't allow so being an Intel without the K in the model name. I think it may be my motherboard since I checked the temp of it and it's on around 115c whilst everything else remains cool. Also my PC has been crashing more on games as well as struggling to run games, it could run a few days ago. (the same CPU i bought) Also a lot more noticeable frame rate drops. Any ideas? I'm going to replace my PC anyway, the only thing I want to move over is my GPU and Hard drive if possible. I want to know if there are any risks to moving these parts to a new system. I don't want it getting damaged. If you have an answer to either of my question it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Don't get me wrong. I know this isn't a knife it's a straight razor. Making straight razors has been my full time job now for almost 4 years. I started with a 30 dollar cheap grinder and have worked my way up to all the great tools I could ever want. I hope you guys have something you love to do and seek it out even if you don't think you have what you need to make it happen... Hi, .. Im interesting to make a rig on LGA775, and I want to know other ppl idea if it worth or not. I'm thinking around 200pounds ($325 or 240euros) rig. I only need a cpu a motherboard and at least 4gb drr3 1333+ .. this rig will have a gtx 480 and it will be for moslty MMORPG's games (CPU based -unreal engine.) I don't want any bottleneck witht the 480, cuz right now there is a AMD dual core and it's doing a huge bottleneck, all games make the gpu work only 20% max, even if they are mmo or offline.. anyway. I want to know what I can buy for this amount of money and I also want to hear both opinions from AMD parts and Intel if is possible. Thanks!
