Hey guys, I recently builded a new PC. Everything worked fine, got into the bios, made a fan curve, I started the windows install but roughly at the end of the installation it turned off. I tried to turn the pc on many times, but it only lights up for about one second and then turns off. Also to get it to light up shortly I need to replug the powercable of the psu. Flipping the switch off and on will only get the same effect if I wait some time and then wait 2 seconds after I press the power button. I hope someone can help me with this problem The specs are: tried to install Windows 10 Home 64-Bit AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (CPU) Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600XT Gaming OC (GPU) MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus (Mainboard) be quiet! Specs (Relevant): Mainboard: Asrock Extreme 4 B550 IPad: IPad Pro 21 12,9“ Excuse my englisch please im not an native-speaker IMG_0169.MP4 Okay so Hear me out, im shutting off my PC as usual and flicking my little Off Switch on the back of the PSU. Then i Notice some weird blinking in some Part of my Mainboard. To my suprise the RGB-LEDs and The debug code display lit up. I was thinking im going insane. Now the thing i noticed was that my Ipad Pro 21 was still connected via USB-C to the USB-C port of the Mainboard because i use it as a Portable second Monitor that needs the wired connection. I unplugged the IPad because i thought it might deliver the Power from the IPad via USB. And to my suprise i was right the IPad powered The mainboard. So my Question now. Is this Harmful? is the current and voltage being controlled? Is this generally Safe? Like that made me wonder why that would happen… I would love to read and reply to your answers soon. Greetings From, Germany

Hello guys! So I’ve ran into a bit of an issue here. Pc wont boot at times, at times it does, its apparently random but I defer, and I’ll tell you why in a little, but for now let me explain my problem. I had posted on this forum before for the same exact reason, but I’d say I was still guessing what the cause of the problem is. So TLDR, I went out of town for a couple days about a year ago now and unplugged my pc just in case; when I came back I was received by a non-powering computer. After some research and troubleshooting I came to the conclusion that the problem was the PSU, but it wasn’t. At this point I know more about what is NOT causing the problem, yet I have no idea what is specifically happening. i even went to the extent of calling my electrician to complain about my PC not turning on at my house, since I had taken it to the repair shop where I bought the new PSU and it worked, but I was wrong again. So time passed and I just didn’t know what to do, until one day it just started acting normal and I promised myself to not mess with it to not jinx it, but I eventually had to do somethings that required me to unplug the PC and leave it as such for two days exactly, and surprisingly when I plugged back in it was acting up once again. Rn the best I can describe it as, is: PC wont turn on on command after being unplugged for a while. BUT it might turn on by itself later (rarely but has happened [ofc, only after I mashed the power button a million times]) on during the day or respond if you try to turn it on later. Whats is NOT the problem: PSU Drives Cables UPS Wall plug House electric system Power Button CMOS battery (But not a 100% sure, Imma explain why later) So as you’ve read, it’s kinda random but only happens after its hasn't being plugged in for a while. MoBo gets power, since it does power on anything plugged into it (like headset, phone, vape, anything via USB). If it does turn on it might lose all BIOS CONFIG (thus I suspect about the CMOS battery, but I swapped it so it doesn't really make all that much sense). Sometimes it would “turn on” meaning I get fan spin, and light on the on board led but no actual video signal plus fans seem to be spinning at a fixed speed, which is not the case when it actually turns on. Components: Ryzen 5 3600xt RX570 16GB Corsair Vengeance (2x8) 3200mhz B450 DS3H V2 Gygabyte MoBo 650W Montech Beta (80+ Bronze) (And a spare 500W Thermaltake 80+ white PSU) THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING, ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME. Have a good rest of the day and I wish this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Hello, I have been having this problem for a week now. My computer has been turning off without warning for a week. At first I thought it was the PSU so I replaced it, then I thought it could be the Motherboard and I replaced that too. But it still keeps happening and I'm losing my mind now. The RAM sticks were tested and are fine, so my assumption is now the cpu. But I don't want to purchase a part again without being 100% sure it is that part that has the issue. My PC parts are: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x GPU: Evga 3060ti FTW PSU: Superflower Leadex III 750w Motherboard: B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 RAM: Team Force Vulcan Z 2x8 3600

So, I have a normal PS4 aka slim, that causes me headache over the last few weeks. It randomly shuts off, I've tried reinstalling it from zero, it worked... for a while, then it happens again. I tried reinstall it the second time, it just simply won't comply. I tried plugging it straight to the wall to no avail. I thought to myself it could be just a bad software, but further on I start to think that it could be a hardware issue. Can anyone help? Since I have never had a PS4 before.

Hello, I recently had some EM interference problem with my audio interface so I decided to plug it in a usb 3.0 hub and plug the audio interface into it, that resolved like 70% of the audio crackling and noise that I was hearing (not 100% cause the hub is usb powered). The problem I have now is that the audio cuts off after about 1 min or so, I though it may be the usb hub getting shut off from windows for power management but seems to not be the case after disabling auto shut off from device manager. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi there, I have an led light strip plugged into my computer and I use it to light my face during livestreaming/recording. I would really like it if there was a way I could turn the light on and off without just unplugging it. There's not an on/off switch on the strip so I was hoping there was either something in Windows or an external app that could control a specific USB port. If you know of anything like that or possibly can think of another solution that'd be great! Thanks!

I found similar threads, but none of them were any help to this issue. I installed a new SSD in my Desktop when I installed the rest of the below parts formatting it with NTFS for the whole 1TB, with only my HDD being the remnants from another PC. It actually has my Windows install on it, which I was glad for the first time I shut-off my pc. As when I booted I found the SSD in a not formatted RAW state. This has happened about, 75% of the time since. (Coming here after it was fine for three days then suddenly did it again.) So in a clarification, I have to recover my data through a third-party tool almost every boot because my SSD is unformatted after almost every power-off of the PC. Nothing else has any errors, or acts differently. I don't think it's a power issue, but I would like to know if my SSD is maybe just faulty or if there is another issue at play here that I am unaware of. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have a Gigabyte 1060 6GB GPU, Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, EVGA 500W PSU, Gigabyte B450M DS3H Motherboard (updated to the latest I could find, November 2019), a 1TB HDD from Western Digital, and a 1TB M.2 SSD from the same brand. Also 32GB of OLOy DDR4 3200mhz ram. Cooling never sees more than around 60 Celsius on my GPU and CPU, so that shouldn't be the issue.

I built myself a new PC yesterday and it didn't want to turn on I checked everything. Today my father called me and sad that he talked to his friend and that his friend sad that the problem is probably in the age of the BIOS on the motherboard and generation of the CPU. So I learned that you need to do more research when you are building a PC for the first time and I don't even know if I can return the motherboard or CPU to the store.

I have a PC that turns off whenever I bump into it, even if it is the lightest bump. It will only turn on again when I unplug and plug in the power cable. Could it be a faulty power cable or power supply? Any help is appreciated.

This is the second time it's has happened so I already know it's going to be impossible to simply never do it again. Sometimes I forget to also turn my EVGA G2 550W's rear switch off after shutting down my PC. It's orientation even after owning for several months isn't a clear sign when reaching back either. So as a result just now I once again switched it off, thinking that direction was on & then proceeded to tap my MasterCase Pro 3's front power button. For a split second I saw everything light up then go dark. In my opinion this means that it tried to power on with the residual power that was left in the PSU but then couldn't continue. Realizing what happened, AGAIN, I flipped the rear switch the other way & powered on normally. Nothing appears to be out of sorts yet but I have to ask, has this or could it after future occurrences permanently damage any of my components? P.S: Simply trying harder to remember doesn't work, if anything then I forget more often.

I just got this free code for %10 off my new i-blason case for a samsung galaxy 6 active. It is only valid for 60 days so I thought I would post it here for someone else to use, I don't think I'll buy anything in the next 60 days: code is XFXCOB

I may be speaking for just myself here, and I'm not saying this is the same with everyone. I ran the Cinebench OpenGL benchmark on my PC with my original GTX 980, and it scored about 130. I ran the same exact test when I got my GTX 1080 ti, and it actually scored significantly lower, at 70. The card itself is perfectly fine in every other game or benchmark, but the results seem to be so screwed up here. My CPU showed similarly skewed results. Cinebench gave my i7 4790k a 777 score, which makes no sense. I ran geekbench 4 and this was my score https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/3572787 . (which is on par with most non OC'd 4790Ks) I'm just saying it's definitely a bad test, it seems like an unreliable benchmark PC hardware according to these odd results i've encountered (even after running the tests multiple times). Maybe it's just me, or have any of you encountered "off" cinebench scores too?

My friend recently purchased a used Razer Blade Pro 2014. The person who used it before did not treat it very well. It has a cracked screen, the battery is completely shot (the laptop has to be plugged in constantly), and the keyboard and trackpad don't work. He is also experiencing an issue where the laptop randomly powers off in the middle of games, forcing him to restart windows. He asked Razer what the cost would be to completely fix all the problems and they said it would be $1450 for the repairs. He plans on replacing the battery to fix these problems. I believe that the reason the keyboard doesn't work is because the previous owner may have spilled liquid on the laptop, and that could be causing issues. Other than the random shutdowns, software-wise the machine seems fine. Any suggestions?

My second monitor keeps turning off as if it's going to sleep, but this shouldn't even be possible. I've tried unplugging the dvi cable and reinserting it, but it hasn't helped. I have no idea what is causing this.
