So, roughly 2 years ago I built my first PC. Here's the PC Part Picker List. Now, there's nothing WRONG with my PC. She runs like a dream, considering I built her from scratch after just a month or so of research and came from a background of only using Macs. However, I've found that the choices I made for this PC aren't exactly the best. I move my PC more than I anticipated, and the case I chose is simply too big to move around as often as I do. Long story short, I want to downsize my case. This wouldn't be that big of an issue if I wasn't insanely picky, aesthetically, and if I hadn't gotten a freakin' Cooler Master V8 GTS CPU cooler. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE how it looks and works. I wanted my rig to be themed red/white/black, and I loved how badass the cooler looked. However, now that I'm trying to downsize, preferably to something mid-tower sized, it's becoming more of a hindrance than anything else. The biggest issue I have is that I live somewhere that doesn't have a lot of stores that sell PC components. I can't simply go into a store and test for myself if my cooler will clear, and so I have to be 100% sure before I order one. I have one local Fry's, and that's it. Now, the cases I'm bouncing around atm are the NZXT S340, S340 Elite, InWin 303 and Phanteks P400. My parameters are: a white case, side panel window, and that it weighs less / is smaller than my current Storm Stryker. ( HWD 23.80" x 9.80" x 22.80" ; 30.20 lbs. ) I'd also not like to break the bank by buying another $150 case - I'm hoping to sell my old case to help offset any costs, but I'm still trying to not spend an arm and a leg, especially since I'll have to buy new fans, since my current Storm Stryker came with fans. My local Fry's supposedly has the InWin 303 in stock, so I'm going to check it out today. But it's also a bit heavier than I would like, so it isn't my first choice. (Plus, the blue lighting on the front would kinda clash with my preferred color scheme.) So, am I just royally screwed unless I give up my beasty cooler? It's been fine for my needs, and I'd rather not get rid of it, but if I have to then of course I will. I've read mixed reviews about the clearance of these cases. For example, this review claims that they could fit into the S340 a cooler that, with fans attached, measures 170mm where mine is ''only'' 167mm. I was hoping maybe people who own these cases could tell me first-hand experiences with height issues? Or maybe there are other cases you'd recommend? Or you can just tell me to suck it up and get a smaller cooler -- perhaps even go for a liquid CPU cooler. Just, keep it civil, okay?

I've heard a lot of good things about the NZXT S340 Elite but I've also heard something that could be a deal breaker for me: the cooling. I've hears that because of the front panels design there's no way you can effectively cool the system, especially the graphics card. This is apparently because the only way it can pull air in is through the 1-inch slits in the top and bottom. Since this is my first build, I'm not sure how true it is or if it even matters. If you have this case I'd love to know if you've been having any cooling issues with it. Also, recommendations for good, sub $150 cases would be great. Thanks!

Why (Yssssssss) It was black n white because i like it and my friend loves it so just like the last h440 bam bam bam The case was perfect just we needed a lil more black to fit our tastes. Love the CF texture and the biggest reason for using carbon fiber is that spray cans here really really suck so CF FTW. What are the future plans for this case White pastel fluid ( I think that explains most of it) Rest is even unknown to me atm Lets get started And i love the scent of new stuff. The moment a new box is opened u know the scent of shopper, cardboard even those thermopol safety foam smell smell’s good. Also love to open new stuff boxes ( Being honest i love even opening used stuff parcels too ). And i m really curious about the accessories that are given, those small boxes are fun too. Hello All, I have a CPU cooler, the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 LED Turbo and I'm planning to buy an NZXT s340 Elite for my next build. The cooler has a height of 163mm and the advertised cooler clearance for the s340 elite is 161mm, are these two still compatible? Now before you start calling me an idiot(lol), I was thinking(hoping) there might be a bit more clearance than what they actually advertised for the case. Hello LTT Community! Trying to dip my feet in RGB lighting my rig. Just purchased CableMod WideBeam Magnetic RGB LED Kit (60 cm) with Asus Aura - my issue is that I have an ASRock B250M Pro4 MOBO, so I do not believe I will be able to use the fancy software. What will I not be able to do through the remote control that comes with the kit that I would be able to do with the software? Or is there some sort of adapter / third party software that would allow me to use the Asus Aura software with my ASRock MOBO? More generally, about how many strips do people use to RGB light their rig? With 60 cm, I believe I can do up one side and across the bottom or top (I have an NZXT S340 Elite - White). Thanks, Nick

Hi, I'm looking at the NZXT S340 Elite as the case for my new build, and have been looking at reviews online for specific details other than, "It's good." One that I found (I can't remember where it was) said that the thermals in the case aren't that great because on the front panel, the only vents for air are on the top and bottom. This means that the bottom and top intake fans get the most airflow, but that isn't that necessary, because the bottom fan just blows into the PSU shroud, and the top fan blows air past the CPU, which already has it's own dedicated cooler attached. This causes the middle fan, to not receive nearly as much airflow for the middle of the case, to cool the GPU. So my question is, are there any people here who personally use the S340 Elite, with air cooling that could give me an idea of how the thermals are in the case from their experiences with it? Just wanted to share some pics of my recent builds. The NZXT S340 is my newest project. Project name "MoonLightRyzen" A Ryzen 7 1700x on a Crosshair VI Hero with a GTX 1070 for my daughter. She built most of the computer and I helped mostly with cable management and that's about it. She's 8 years old by the way, lol. The Deep Cool Genome case is my dedicated PC that I use for everything. Project name: "RedDragonV3.0" It's running an FX-8350 on a TUF Sabertooth 990fx rev 3 and another GTX 1070. Although an older processor, I love this system. It's overclocked to 4.7ghz and the temps are extremely low for an FX series chip. Never really gets over 60 degrees even under 100% load. The last pic is some left over parts I built my brother a PC with. All he had to do was get a chip (he went with an FX-8350 as well) and video card (GTX 960 cause he found it for next to nothing) Doing some changes to the Ryzen 7, so will share some more pics when it's complete. The Deep Cool captain 240 is getting exchanged for an NZXT Kraken X62 and some other little things. Next project will be a custom water loop, maybe on a Threadripper...... Thanks for looking! This is my first pc build, the computer boots into the bios, but the fans are not spinning (case fans, and kraken x62). I have the kraken fans connected via sata to the psu, and the case fans are connected to the same hub (i believe the 3 pin connectors that come with the case). The CPU fan is working, but thats about it.. could someone help me please? thanks

I have a nzxt s340 elite and was wondering what is the best setup to get positive air pressure with only space for 4 fans. Right now I have 2x140mm fans sucking air in from the front and pushing it through a radiator (kraken x62) and 2x120mm fans (one in the back and one in the top) as exhaust. Is this enough or should I flip the top fan? Btw I'm using the fans that came with the radiatior and case, so would it be a good idea to keep the orientation and just change the fans for some noctua nf-f12/nf-f14 fans?

Recently finished my new ryzen build recently, what do you think? Is there something similar to the NZXT hue+ that i can sync with either an ASUS Aura or a MSI mystic Light motherboard? Like some LED strips that can use the motherboards onboard software to produce those amazing looking patterns? I love the idea of the NZXT HUE+ but i find it rather cumbersome and would rather have a motherboard with either MSIs or ASUS's software (gonna be buying one of them soon)

hey guys on the forum have any of you managed to hit a cryorig H5 in an NZXT S340 Elite? the case desciption says it has 161mm clearance (H5 is 160MM) but i dont know if this is with or without mobo. I have not built it yet but should i switch out my Phanteks P400S for a NZXT S340 Elite? If yes or no, tell me why please
