Is there anyone of you out there that has upgraded to AM5 with an existing X62 Kraken AIO? NZXT does not seem to provide any info regarding their older models. I am wondering if the cooler is fully decommissioned and requires a replacement for AM5 simple because they don't offer brackets or standoffs. Or if the existing standoffs and brackets are sufficient and still works for AM5.

Ive been scratching my head here trying to figure this out.. I have 2 Kraken X62's . One for CPU and GPU.. I have on the GPU x62 some Noctua 3000rpm fans on for about 3 months now. Today i went to install another set of Noctua 3000 rpm fans on the CPU's x62 in place of the NZXT fans and the new noctua ones wouldn't start unless at 100% on fan curve (yes it was on the PWM or first 2 fan connections on the x62's splitter)... So I though maybe bad fans.. So i hooked them up to the Gpu's X62 and they work with no issues.. So i put the nzxt fans back in and they work fine... So i tried hooking the Noctua up as a 3rd and 4th fan.. They both worked fine until i unplug one or the other NZXT fans.. No mater the arrangement on the splitter unless I have the 2 NZXT fans plugged in the first 2 spots nocuta ones will not turn on. Also with all 4 fans hooked up the noctua fans dont turn on until 40% on the fan curve.. Something is odd here. I have tried reinstalling the X62 drivers, cam and made sure fan curve in bios is up.. I have had no issues at all until trying to change out the fans. Included video of issue. VIDEO OF ISSUE

Hey guys, upgrading my system to an i7-8700k + Nzxt Kraken X62 and hoping to push it to 5.0 Ghz or more if i'm lucky. My question is, is the pre-applied thermal paste on the Kraken X62 good enough or will getting a 3rd party thermal paste get me significantly better thermals? If so, which one would you guys recommend? I figured if I'm going to be using this for 4-5 years, I might as well spend the extra $15 for better thermals before I install. Thanks!

So i just upgraded a lot of my peripherals to: Asus rog strix z390-f gaming I9 9900k NZXT Kraken X62 v2 (which i have already updated) G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x8 3200 My case is "old" but it's Phanteks P400s From the beginning i wanted to use my be quiet silent wings 3 fans to just do a push setup but the y splitter you connect all the fans onto (which comes from the kraken x62) didn't work properly so i thought it might've been a better idea to just do push and pull cause i've heard the stock NZXT kraken fans were good but, no. They're the loudest fans i've owned and keeps going up to 100% suddenly but might be because the thermals are so unstable and unpredictable. recently i just updated windows and while it was downloading the update while i restarted it the fans went crazy and were at 100% until the update was done. But maybe its because i perhaps mounted the cooler wrongly, the problem is i don't know. This is what i have tried to fix the cooling: Try to tighten the screws more on the pump, but it sits tight enough for sure. Trying to fiddle with rpm in bios, but not so much and even if i would fix my temps the fans would be extremely loud with the high rpm's. First time i mounted the push and pull i had two of the fans in the wrong way so i switched sides but the temps didn't drop by that much, surprisingly only the gpu went down but i didn't play have my pc on for so long and now it's back anyway. What i think it could be is when i mounted the pump i tightened one of the screws to much so the cooling paste might not sit so good on the cpu but i tried to fix it by screwing it up a little again to make the paste go even on my cpu but now when i think about it, i might've just done things worse but i'm no expert and don't know if i did it wrong and how badly. I should add that my gpu goes up to 80 degrees easily (overclocked with 109% power limit, 115 on core and 650 on memory) and now i'm too scared to play games because i feel it will damage my hardware. When i first started the pc there were a lot of problems like windows didn't want to boot and at the same time it told me "cpu fan error" but those things are fixed but still odd to me. Seems the cpu fan error was because the fans weren't connected directly to the motherboard but that's a wild guess. I've been thinking about uninstalling everything and start from scratch and have been contemplating about it for a long time if that might be a problem with thermals. Something weird to add about the 2 silent wings 3 fans and the NZXT ones were that when i connected the NZXT fans into the y splitter WITH the Silent wings 3 fans connected one of the fans started to spin normally but the other one was barely spinning, only twitching. I see there's a lot to answer but i'm mostly focused on why my temps are so bad.

Hii there, I am building PC with i7-9700k and Cpu cooler is nzxt kraken x62. So Which thermal compound paste should I apply on cpu? Please suggest me and give ur any options about it... Thank you:)

Hey peeps, I wanna do a case swap for my girlfriends rig. Ive thought about getting her a nzxt h500 case which supports a 280mm radiator on the front, which i was thinking of getting a nzxt kraken x62 for it I prob plan to overclock her cpu at a later stage. Her specs atm I7 6850k Noctua nh-d15 Asus X99-deluxe II 1x 16gb ram @ 2133mhz Asus strix gtx 1080 All in a aerocool battlehawk case I wanna just change the case and swap the d15 cooler for a water cooler Also for overclocking her cpu, i want to get a steady 4ghz on the cpu like it used to do when it was in my system (legit ran at 4ghz steadily from first time boot), fir some reason the clock spd keeps fluctuating and it just annoys me as it never used to do that. So is there a way to clock it so that it will just sit at 4ghz, ive never overclocked before and would like some help just to have the cpu push to 4ghz for now only Please help

So I've been going around the internet for a bit and I found these two AIO coolers that i like but from what I've read the NZXT kraken offers more and is cooler(temperature) but the only downside is its cam software(according to the posts and reviews), Did they patch the kinks off yet? or is it still the same? I was thinking if i should just go with the Corsair H115i Pro? Since according to them the only downside are its stock fans which can be easily replaced. Another question is if corsair's LL fans would be ok as replacements for the stock fans on these coolers?

Hey, I ordered an NZXT Kraken x62 for my GTX1080 Asus Turbo, which I regret buying bc it thermal throttles hard. But was the Kraken x62 overkill for a GTX1080? Btw I have not received the AIO cooler yet so I haven't gotten to try it out yet but I started wondering did I waste money buying a such an Expensive Cooler? What's your opinion?

Hello everyone, I encountered a weird problem with my x62 Kraken. Its a brand new system with AMD 2700X on AsRock X470 Taichi (P 1.5 BIOS) and the mighty NZXT kraken x62, only 3 weeks old. The system worked flawlessly for the last 3 weeks and now this. Last temps stayed between 50 C° and 60 C° (-10C Ryzenwyse ??? mayber other topic). Every time I start the system it is going to freeze as soon as the AsRock "Circe" shows up on screen. Before, on every startup the pump circled LEDs lit up. Now nothing. When I manage, somehow to get to windows, the pump lits up as soon as CAM (the worst temp/pump software ever) starts. I cheched the Bios settings and CPU Temps: On startup its arround 60 C° to 70 C°. Anyone else with this problem? Kind regards Julian

Hi, I just started building my new gaming rig and as I came to the part where I unbox my new nzxt kraken x62 I realized that the way I installed it wasn't very smart of me. After cable managing and installing the rest i realized that i can't install the dust filter/glass when the radiator is mounted at the top So before I start experimenting around I thought I better ask this forum first. My idea was to remove 2 of the 3 RGB fans at the front and mount them on the radiator and mount the radiator at the front without giving up the RGB aesthetic. and mount the "non-rgb" fans that were mounted on the radiator on the top. Would that work?

I recently bought a NZXT Kraken x62 to go with my brand new 2700x (paired with an Asus ROG Strix X470-F and 3200MHz G Skill TridentZ RGB), having decided to pull the trigger and upgrade my CPU. I also got an IC Graphite thermal pad after watching Linus' review of it, figuring it would be much lower hassle in the long run simply moving the pad from processor/cooler to the next instead of having to mess with thermal paste every time. Anyway, I initially had temperatures skyrocket to over 100°C, my 2700x throttling down to .5GHz (yes, half of one) before shutting down to save itself. After changing around the wiring and re-seating the cooler, I was still having very high temperatures, around the realm of 95°C or so. After heading to town and getting some cheap Best Buy Insignia paste (they were all that was open and that was all that they had in stock) and then manually setting the pumps to max in CAM, (this is my first AIO, so I figured that out kind of late, admittedly) I'm still maxing out at 82° at stock settings while running Cinebench. In addition, the temperatures constantly jump up 10 degrees before gradually dropping back down to 10 degrees lower. For instance, right now as I type this at idle, the temperature will slowly sink down to about 35° before suddenly jumping up to 45° and sinking back down. Could anyone provide any input on any of this? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

HI I NEED SOME HELP. So recently i built a fairly power full gaming rig with an INTEL i7 8700K paired with an NZXT KRAKEN X62 liquid cooling aio. My idle temps have been between 35c-40c and underload playing pubg, gtav} im getting 50c-72c. From what ive heard this is really hot for my cpu. can anyone offer advice on the temperature range for my cpu. thanks.

Hey all So i got an NZXT Kraken X62 v2 and when it's working, it's really great. But i'm not sure if it's the AIO or the CAM software that is the problem but, I have never have the software or AIO work when i turn my pc on for the first time every day in 2-3 weeks now. The software wont start and the colour is the default blue and even sometimes the fans wont spin, only the pump is running. do i force shutdown CAM software and start it again, it will start but can't see the AIO. I then have to restart the pc, after that everything is working as it should. No problem at all. But i can't be right i have to start my pc, and then do an restart to get this running every single time? I have tried every USB2 header on the MB and tried to reinstall the CAM software. Now i running 3.5.30, release date 12 dec. 2017 So, do any of you have an idea on what i can try or anything?
