Hello guys! Seems like you are my only, kast hope. I've been searching for the answer for daysbut nothing yet. There is a Precision 7920 rack form factor workstation, which has 2 CPU and 2 1600W PSUs equipped with a Quadro GV100 VGA. The owner wants a second, same VGA in the system, which is fine, but there comes the problem/question: these cards have NVLink connector on the for greater performance, and if you build this config in a tower configuration, you just place the 2 cards above each other, pop in the NVLink bridge, and voilá, there is the doubled bandwidth. But how can you connect them thru their NVLink connectors in a server, or rack form? Hope at least somebody saw configuration like this before, and can help, if the internet couldn't. Looks like new z690 motherboards have only 1 16x pcie lane and others are 4x pcie lanes.. Is it possible to run the 2nd gpu without performance drop? -
I have this problem, I need to know whether I better should sell my first bought RTX 3090 which is an Inno3D iChiLL x4, OR nvlink that Inno3D with my second already bought Aorus Master. I am worried about - if the system will be stable or not - if there should be some drivers incompatibilities or any form of instability - Can I use a full 48GB VRAM system? - and if can join both cards hdmi and display ports which in total would be 10 (6+4) Should I sell the Inno3D or should I NVlink them? The thing about why I bought different brand cards is because a mistake, so blame on me for doing it, but I can still resell the Inno3D. I really like the Aorus master. On final note, I don't care if both cards clock speeds gets 'bottlenecked' or whatever speed problems, I just care about the VRAM and the ports and of course system stability. Thanks. -

I need Help with choosing x8 or x16 Sli Bridge For Quadro RTX 5000 As you may know that the Bridge for RTX 5000 is different from Other Quadro RTX. So I cannot use any other bridge for RTX 5000. After some research, I purchased this Item "Nvidia Quadro RTX x8 NVLink Bridge 3-slot" from Newegg (https://www.newegg.com/p/1DW-000D-000F2?Description=x8%20nvlink%20bridge&cm_re=x8_nvlink_bridge-_-9SIAJCJAPC7894-_-Product&quicklink=true) I purchased this because it is a 3 Slot bridge so I can use it in the two x16 PCIe slot. I was confused why the title say " x8 ". I installed it, however, I am not seeing any performance increase. In fact it sometimes fails to boot. I have to reset BIOS for it to work. My question is: Is there something called x8 and x16 NVLink Bridge (Not the PCIe slot but the Bridge) I am asking this because there is another NVLink bridge available. Hello all. My current build has the following: - MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC - AMD RX5700XT Sapphire Blower Just ordered a Zotac RTX2070S Mini. Can still cancel it. My plan is to eventually replaced the RX5700XT with a second RTX2070S Mini and then use NVLINK to aggregate both GPUs. My application is ML so I could really use the extra VRAM given by combining both. I saw that the Zotac is a low end RTX2070S so I wanted to get confirmation this is a good idea. The reason I ordered the mini is that it's cheap and will be able to re-use it in a future SFF build (I'm heavily interested in finding an mATX board with 2x M.2 slots, 4 RAM slots and dual GPU capability if anyone has an idea, to execute this SFF build.) Thanks all. PS: MY PSU is Gigabyte 750W I calculated it should handle both GPUs fine.

So I need to render complex 3DS MAX stuff over night. Normally would take a week to render. The idea is that by using the NVLink chip on the Asus x99 WS 10G, vRay RT will be able to stack the ram and render massively complex environments. We have been limited to CPU only because of the memory constraints. NVLink requires 16x PCIe (my understanding) the MB comes with 4 16x and 3 8x. This MB has an NVLink chip up converter left of the north bridge allowing for 8x to interact with each other at 16x levels. NVLink in theore alowes video cards to share each other assets entirely. Where SLi is like hand shaking and helping each other out studying after school, NVLink is like Goku and Vegeta Fusion. I should name this build Gogeta. An 84gig GDDR5 video card sounds really cool. I'm going with the i7-6850k because it's one of the cheapest 40 lane chip. ram I'm not hung up on. Anyone won't to vet this idea before I drop $16k+ to make this build. CPU: Intel Core i7-6850K 3.6GHz 6-Core CPU Cooler: Ek water buildout for GPU's and CPU. As far as I know when you try to do SLI, the chipset reduces the PCIe 3.0 x16 bandwidth into PCIe 3.0 x8 to pair it to another slot with PCIe 3.0 x8 effectively means using 2 graphic cards with one PCIe 3.0 x16 bandwidth thus causing stuttering. Now that Ryzen 2 support PCIe 4.0 which doubled the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0, then does the stuttering with SLI still exist? Does PCIe 4.0 x8 has the same bandwidth as PCIe 3.0 x16?

Hi, I am building a rig for Deep Learning using 2× ASUS ROG Strix 2080 Ti cards and I am planning to pair them in SLI. Due to the lack of availability of the ASUS NVlink bridge in my country, I am planning to get the Zotac NVlink bridge. I was wondering would the Zotac NVlink bridge work with two ASUS RTX 2080 tis? Like will the sli connections fit and all? Has anyone tried this config before?

IceGiant ProSiphon Elite 9. 1600 watt Power Supply 10. A Full Tower ATX CASING (Local Vendor) Now there is a little bit of confusion I have: 1. How can I install three GPUs with 3950x which used to have 24 PCIe lanes? I mean how can I set GPU configuration mode like x8/x8/x8 in PCIe 4.0 for ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO (WIFI) as I also want to install an M.2 Nvme. 2. What Motherboard should I go for except MSI MEG x570 Godlike(too costly), I also want a WiFi, Bluetooth and TPM header to make sure my encryption. And for performance I would usually need to overclock it. 3. I've seen ChaosGroup Vray benchmark on RYZEN 3950x they had used 5x RTX 2080Ti and 1x GTX 1080 how would they managed that? 4. Does NVLINK combines the VRAM of GPUs?

Hi all, I wanted to share with you the final build of the Cerberus X. In a way after looking at current builds monochromatic, I wanted to do something different e.g. I like Noctua fans. Overall the goal was also a silent build, even though I have a bulletproof overclock of 5ghz, I cant hear the system ramp up. 2nd goal, the smallest build considering the components. However I do not know how to OC ram on Z390 any recommendations or guides? high end cards are scarce, usually unavailable from manufacturers even. the second hand ones are sold almost instantly on craigslist ebay or kijiji i have a 2080ti and a 2080super - both have NVlink they wont nvlink together but control panel sees them both and offers some options anyone else out there like me that found a great use of this situation ?> cheers from tdot tnx

Hi All Randomly saw some videos pop up about NVLink after I looked at support for my Rift and how people were getting amazing performance in games that I thought no longer supported multiple GPUs. Aside from a little bit of VR, I mostly play Blizzard games as I don't have as much time to just venture to others currently: Overwatch Hearthstone (obviously this one isn't important!) WoW (I believe this is actually supported and confirmed on the site) HOTS My understanding was that SLI/Crossfire no longer worked in pretty much any game apart from Wow, APEX and a smattering of others where devs were putting the time in. I know when people talk about SLI they often just refer to NVLink as SLI out of habit but if you just type "Overwatch NVLink" into Youtube there are various hits with people showing supposedly much greater Overwatch performance, even some benchmarks with 2080TIx2 vs Titansx2, though i believe I read that it wasn't supported. Does anyone know if/have any experience with this and how supported NVLink is? If it's something that will still see reasonable gains (I'm not expecting double performance etc) then for my last PC for a long time, I'd like to go with it. Many thanks!

I have some heavy rendering projects using Blender 2.8 I wanted to know if its possible to use a GTX 1080Ti and an RTX Titan for the rendering process? I installed both cards but only the Titan is recognized by Blender. Is there cross compatibility between the GTX and RTX cards?

My 3D rendering program of choice, Keyshot, has recently added support for GPU rendering with Ray Tracing on Nvidia cards. I'm concerned about memory capacity because I can easily fill up 10GB+ with assets and materials when rendering on my CPU. Unfortunately, you can't pool VRAM with Keyshot yet, but apparently that function is in the works. I also game on a 34" 1440p monitor and will be using the GPU to power my Oculus Quest through link. I'm planning on upgrading to a 2070 SUPER soon, with the intention of adding another 2070S with NVlink when support for pooling VRAM is added, giving me 16GB total. I'm aware that the B450 Tomahawk only has 1 PCIe 3.0 x16, with an additional PCIe 2.0 x16. And the 2700X has 16 lanes for GPUs. I'm struggling to find answers as SLI in gaming becomes less popular. Am I going to run into problems (PCIe, power handling, bottlenecks etc.) if I add in second card on my B450 Tomahawk with my 2700X? Thanks

Hello, i am a robotic engineer and deep learning programmer. So need to buy a new gpu for my AI model training and i was looking for 2x 2080ti or 1 titan rtx. and i wanted to know which one would work better in performance in deep learning and gaming but i couldn't find any forums that benchmarks 2x 2080ti and 1 TITAN RTX with tensorflow workload. I thought LTT froums whould help me kame the choice. My question is does 2x2080ti with sli or nvlink works better then 1xTITAN RTX? and my budget is around $3000 for gpu and thank you for helping

Hey Guys!!! So Christmas is coming up, and I want to upgrade my computer again. I just recently learned that a single rtx 2080 can run GTA5 at ~100 fps. I have an rtx 2080 already and get about ~85 fps in GTA Online. Now, I have a monitor with a refresh rate of 144 hz, however, it runs into serious lag problems and tearing when it isn't at 144 fps. This means that 100 fps still feels like 30 fps. If I limit my moniter's refresh rate to something like 60 fps, the gamma increases for some reason ruining the look of my screen. (I know ways to possibly fix this, but I don't really want to run at 60 fps). So here's the delema... should I sell my current graphics card and get an rtx 2080ti or should I get another rtx2080. I also have another question. Could I buy a 2080 super and link it to my current (non-super) 2080, or would that not work. I had some trouble finding reliable information on this topic. I couldn't find any I'm willing to pay a decent amount of money, however I don't want to go above $1000 as that's my absolute max. I also have a ryzen 3900x. Should I upgrade to a 3950x? Ask me any questions as needed!! Thanks!!!
