  1. Hi, I am building my first PC. I can start it with my CPU-graphics and installed windows 10 Pro. Everything works except that my GPU isn't detected in the device-manager and I can't get an image with the output of the GPU. I don't know, what I can do at this point, so I ask here (first time I ask for help in an online-forum). A lot of the things are bought used, but I don't think, that is the problem (the MoBo detects something in the PCIe slot). As I said, I can run windows with the monitor connected to the CPU-graphics. FYI I have internet and can install things (not a Nvidia driver, because no Nvidia GPU is detected), in case I need Apps, drivers, etc to fix the problem. The Fans of the GPU are spinning (different to other posts) and the lights are on. I am using a displayport-cable. I don't have another GPU to test it or another PC to test the GPU. Also no other monitor at the time (I am moving soon and I have my monitor there, not here). I don't even get a signal (not even for BIOS) when I plug the monitor into the GPU. In the BIOS (under Advanced - System Agent - PCI Express Configuration) I see x16 detected in the first slot, but that is about it. My build: (OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit) Motherboard: Asus Z490-e CPU: Intel i9-11900K GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB RAM: 2x16 32GB 3200 MHz kit (Corsair Vengeance Pro) PSU: be quiet! 12m 850W CPU-cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Elite Storage: Fikwot FN955 4TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 Monitor is old, but works after I put the new NVMe into my laptop and installed the basic display-drivers (it is worse than full hd so windows had a problem with it). What I've tried already: I installed a BIOS-update (newest one, 2801 x64) with EZ-Flash and a USB stick. In the BIOS I tried: I checked all the cables, turned it off and back on (while I tried my luck in the BIOS I had to reset it and update it again a few times). enabling iGPU Multi-Monitor setting the primary display to auto or the GPU a different Power cable for the GPU (PCIe 5.0 (both sides) as well as a 2x8 to 5.0 splitter, and I made sure, they were correctly installed at the GPU and the PSU) putting the GPU into a different slot connecting the M.2 to the second slot (is still there) Did all windows updates, etc. uninstalled graphics-drivers reset BIOS I really appreciate any help. If you need more info or pictures, please say so and I will get them. Thank you!
  2. The problem is somewhat vague and seems to change how it presents itself. I apologize if anything is unclear, but I'm here to answer questions ASAP. Description of problem: Around 2 weeks ago my programs started crashing. At first it was discord randomly crashing and restarting, then my games would crash whenever a round ended, which I found very strange. It got worse over the two weeks and I eventually got frustrated not being able to fix it, so I formatted my drive and reinstalled Windows, but the problem is somehow worse. Now, most driver installers crash or fail, and I occasionally get various errors trying to browse the internet. Most notably, my intel chipset drivers fail to install, and my Nvidia drivers fail to install. The strangest crash is the Nvidia drivers because when I try to install them on a fresh windows the installer will quickly crash and close, then maybe 5 minutes later my screen will flicker and Nvidia control panel is installed. I've spent all day on Microsoft support trying to see if it's a problem with Windows, and even though they eventually got the Windows updates to install without crashing, everything else still crashes and might crash worse. Some drivers I have to install in safe mode and I can install my LAN drivers normally and successfully. I noticed the Q-LED (ASUS motherboard) for the CPU flashing while I was using the computer, and all troubleshooting information I could find from ASUS only mentioned the LEDs flashing during the boot process and didn't mention what they may indicate while the computer is running. Problem Checklist: - Nvidia drivers fail to install in a few ways - error message: NVidia driver not compatible with this version of windows - Simply crashes and closes - Crashes during installation with error message: NVidia drivers failed to install - Intel chipset drivers fail with error message: Unknown error (Useful!) - Steam can install, games can be installed, but they can never successfully start or run System specs: CPU: Intel i9-14900kf Motherboard: ASUS Prime z790-A WIFI RAM: 4x16GB DDR5-5200 (XMP currently disabled) G.Skill Ripjaws S5 GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070ti Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Troubleshooting steps taken: - Swapped RAM around in every imaginable configuration/combination - Changed SSD to Samsung 970 EVO 500GB - Flashed BIOS - Reset CMOS - Changed motherboard to ASUS TUF z790-Plus WIFI - Clean boot Windows - Safe mode Windows - Install Windows 11 - Disable all non-Microsoft services - "Repair upgrade" (Microsoft support used this phrase to tell me to install Windows 10 from within Windows 10. I think it was silly) - Many more I can't immediately think of
  3. Hello, my friend unfortunately had an issue with a BIOS update which bricked the motherboard. Bought a new one, all gucci. Downside is she has two monitors. If she has her first monitor plugged in, all works. If she has her second monitor plugged in, all works. If she has them both plugged in, first one stops and only the second one works. We've reinstalled graphics drivers for nvidia via a clean install, didn't fix it. We're now having a food break cause pissed off, but if anyone has an idea into what could fix it I would forever be in your debt. Thanks again, James.
  4. Hey guys, I posted a few months back about using those cheap used Nvidia server class GPUs in a workstation computer. I finally completed my build, and I am proud to announce that I have managed to use an Nvidia P40 for my workstation-oriented PC. Other than that, I used: CPU: Ryzen 7700X Mainboard: Asus Prime B650 Plus RAM: 32GB DDR5 Crucial @4800 GPU Cooler: Morpheus 2 core edition SSD: 2TB Kingston M.2 SSD Power supply: 700W BeQuiet! System Power 9 PCIE power to CPU adapter for the GPU Anti-sag support for the GPU Zalman S2 case Alpenföhn Ben Nevis CPU cooler 3 extra case fans + 2 for the GPU cooler (P12 Slim) I also had to buy some small heatsinks for the VRAMs on the back of the GPU. So far, the system is very performant (I can post some benchmarks if needed later, but 60+ FPS for Minecraft with RTX shaders, max render distance, all settings ultra, speaks for itself, especially since it's a 200$ GPU. Of course, the total price of the GPU is closer to 300$, since the cooling solution, as well as the adapter cable, totals around 100$. I have connected the GPU fans directly to the mainboard, where I use FanControl to set fan curves - even under a lot of stress (Furmark, Blender render, Stable diffusion) the card never exceeds 55°C with around 55% fan speed. Please let me know if you have further questions regarding my build or any complaints about my configuration.
  5. I was reassembling some parts on a new cabinet and came across a different looking GPU 6 pin power input. According to its manual, this GTX 1060 should have the following pin patter: From Left to right and top to bottom: Top Row = D D Square. Bottom row = Square D D. However the atual hardware i have here is as follow: Anomalous Pattern = Top Row = Square, Square, D. Bottom Row = D, D, Square. My power supply follows the correct patter, the first one, the one user manual says it should be. The power supply 6 pin pci connector connects fine with the GPU, despite having a different pattern. The thing is, Im not sure if its just a manufacturing defect or the problem extends to circuitry level. I don't know how this GPU was mounted on the old cabinet, for when i took the job the parts were already disassembled. The previews IT guy moved to another company and i have no way to contact him. I don't know how to troubleshooting this, and im afraid of burn the GPU. I welcome any advice. Thanks in advance for the attention.
  6. Summary Nvidia App is basically a merge of GeForce Experience and a modernised Nvidia Control Panel all in one package. Quotes My thoughts Finally, after all these years, and maybe pressure from Nvidia users due to the fact that AMD has modernised their app, Nvidia decided to pull the trigger and modernised their Nvidia Control Panel. This new app is now 2-in-1 package, rather than having 2 different apps. Since this is in beta, there are some missing features. The entire Display section found in the Control Panel is missing. Plus, this basically upgrades the GeForce Experience app. Sources https://www.nvidia.com/en-my/geforce/news/nvidia-app-beta-download/ https://www.nvidia.com/en-my/software/nvidia-app/
  7. Hey everyone! This is my first topic so let me introduce myself shortly. I'm a 27 YO, male who lives in Turkiye. I have an interest in tech in general. So let's ask the question now. I got an Asus Strix 4090 recently and have a 1000 Watts PSU, FSP Hydro G Pro 1000W to be specific. I couldn't find any "easy, found in Google" kind of information about 12VHPWR cable or compatible 3rd party options. Do you guys have any information about this one or any 3rd party suggestion that I can order from Turkiye? I'm using the supplied adapter from Asus with 4x8 Pin connected to it in a Corsair 4000D case. I believe the bend looks ok but I want to be in the safe side with more compact cable solution. I didn't wanna order any type of adapter after the CableMOD news and recalls. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hello all, this is my first post on the forum and I was looking for some suggestions for my current build. Current specs are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: Gigabyte Aero OC 4070 Super Ram: GSkill Trident Z Neo 3600 Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B-550A AIO: Corsair H150i Elite Capellix PSU: Thermaltake GF1 850w SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 2tb HDD: (2x) 2tb Dell server grade HDDs Case: Corsair 5000x w/ 10 corsair fans I've just upgraded the GPU recently and AM5 is on my horizons along with PCIE Gen 5. But I can't seem to let go of the 5800x3d yet and have to upgrade the motherboard, cpu, and ram. Also the mobo, ram, psu, and aio are about 3 years old at this point so I guess those would be my main upgrade points.
  9. Hi, Randomly out of nowhere my screens will freeze then just go black, then my main monitor will flicker from an off black to an on black constantly. I've checked all my drivers to no avail and its really annoying me as its a brand new PC. I found out that Nvidia Geforce experience wasnt working last night and that when i opened the app up it was lagging my mouse out, i turned off the ingame overlay and it felt smoother. Any Ideas? I'm stumped. Thanks
  10. We didn’t recommend using the Chinese driver in our mining GPU video, but now, we’ll show you how to make Nvidia’s drivers work for yourself – And how to go deeper. Buy a P106 (mining "GTX 1060") on Taobao: https://lmg.gg/8KV9W Buy a real GTX 1060: On Amazon: http://geni.us/rveAUH On Newegg: https://lmg.gg/8KV6B Download link for GeForce driver 416.34: https://lmg.gg/8KV93 Download link for HxD: https://lmg.gg/8KV9m Download link for DifferentSLIAuto: https://lmg.gg/8KV9P Download link for 7-Zip: https://lmg.gg/8KV9p TechPowerUp Forum Thread: https://lmg.gg/8KV91 How to mod the P106 driver Make sure Secure Boot is disabled and Windows is in testsigning mode Check your motherboard manual for information on how to disable Secure Boot Testsigning can be enabled by opening up a Command Prompt or PowerShell as administrator, then typing: bcdedit /set {current} testsigning on bcdedit /set {current} nointegritychecks on This can be done for a single boot by going to Start -> Power -> Restart and holding shift while clicking Restart, then choosing Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, then Startup Settings - Once you get to the menu, choose to disable driver signature enforcement. After restarting, you’ll know it worked if some text is displayed in the lower right corner of your desktop Download and extract the GeForce driver using 7-Zip In the extracted folder, go to the Display.Driver folder and open nv_dispi.infusing Notepad++ Search for lines containing 1B87 (P104-100), 1BC7, (P104-101) 1C07(P106-100), and 1C09 (P106-090) Change each line's Section number to match the 1C06 (GTX 1060) line - On 416.34, that means from Section110 to Section108 On the third set of lines, the Section numbers will be different; Again change it to match the 1C06 (GTX 1060) line - On 416.34, that's Section109 to Section107 Save the file Install the driver as normal – Windows will complain that it’s unsigned; Click allow. Right-click the desktop, go to Display Settings, then Graphics Settings From here, you can force any game to use the P106 to render while your integrated GPU is used for display output. How to perform the SLI mod Make sure Secure Boot is disabled and Windows is in testsigning mode Check your motherboard manual for information on how to disable Secure Boot Testsigning can be enabled by opening up a Command Prompt or PowerShell as administrator, then typing: bcdedit /set {current} testsigning on bcdedit /set {current} nointegritychecks on This can be done for a single boot by going to Start -> Power -> Restart and holding shift while clicking Restart After restarting, you’ll know it worked if some text is displayed in the lower right corner of your desktop Install both graphics cards you wish to attempt SLI with The first three characters of the PCI device ID MUST match to enable SLI To find out what the device ID is, right-click the start button and click Device Manager In the Display adaptors list double-click the card you want to check. Under the Details tab, click the drop-down and then click Hardware IDs. It will look like this: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F07&SUBSYS_86701043&REV_A1 VEN_10DE means Nvidia, while DEV_1F07 is the device ID – In this example, an RTX 2070. So in order to run SLI, the other card’s device ID will have to also start with DEV_1F0 Download and install the GeForce driver as usual Download and extract the DifferentSLIAuto package Go to C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository and sort by date Go into the newest folder beginning with nv_dispi.inf Copy the nvlddmkm.sys file to the DifferentSLIAuto folder Open the install.cmd file in the DifferentSLIAuto folder in Notepad++ Replace the three mentions of nv_dispi.inf in install.cmd with the folder name we got the nvlddmkm.sys file Open the nvlddmkm.sys we copied in a hex editor (HxD) In HxD, go to Search, then Find, then click the Hex Values tab Search for 79050fba6b240e Position the cursor at the start of these values Replace with C7432400000000 (no need to delete first, just type over it) Save the file Reboot into Safe Mode with Networking Click Start, then Power, then hold shift while clicking Reboot In the menu that comes up, click Troubleshoot, then Advanced Options, then Startup Settings (on some PCs, this may be behind a “show more options” arrow) - Once the PC reboots, press 5 on the screen that appears. Run install.cmd in the DifferentSLIAuto folder as administrator Reboot into normal mode Enable SLI (hopefully)
  11. Hello, this is my first post here. Yesterday I installed the latest nvidia driver to test that new nvidia beta app. After installation and rebooting Windows 11 there was a short nvidia bios message shown before the default mainboard bios splash screen. This first time I have ever seen that. My PC booted, I started up a game (F1 23), while loading the game my monitors suddenly lost connection but the game was running (heard the gamesound). So i shutdown my PC (shutdown button on the case), waited and since then I‘m not getting any video output anymore on both of my monitors with that card. Windows boots up just fine (RGB syncing works and the hardware info on my keyboard works as well). I tested an old amd gpu via pcie riser cable and it works, i can see the windows desktop GPU is a Manli RTX 3090 with an Alphacool waterblock on it. Right now I‘m about to get that 3090 out, mount the aircooler on it and test the gpu in my second pc.
  12. Overall if price is not included who actually wins? Like overall is AMD or NVIDIA a better option when it comes to Games, Video editing, AI technology, so on so forth. Which brand tends to be better at what? like is NVIDIA better for Video editing & AI while AMD is better for gaming? I usually lean towards to NVIDIA as I had a horrid experience with their 5000 series, but I'd love to know now days what is the best on average. For this topic I'd probably want to compare the top of the top from both ends (RX 7900 XTX / RTX 4090) we can include their technological improvements too.
  13. Hi everyone, System specs : CPU : i5 10400 GPU : switched from GTX 1060 3GB to rx 6600 8GB MOBO : Gigabytye Aorus B560M ELITE PSU : switch from a random 500w old PSU to MSI MAG A550BN PSU Ram : 16gb 2x8 Corsair vengeance pro rgb 3600mhz I decided to switch from my old GTX 1060 3GB to a new RX 6600. I switched them initially and forgot to do a DDU (I’m stupid, I know), and I installed the new gpu into the same PCIE slot as my old gpu. Booted perfectly, using HDMI port on the GPU. Installed new AMD drivers, and everything was registering. Decided to do a quick restart, and a windows update started. Got to 100%, and black screened for about 20 mins, then I turned it off and on again. No post and troubleshooting light switching from CPU to DRAM periodically, whilst turning on and off. Removed a ram stick, and then stuck on VGA light. What I’ve tried: Using different RAM kit with multiple configurations. Changed PSU from my 8 year old PSU to a new one Reset CMOS about 5 times now Updated BIOS using a usb I can get it to boot and post, if I plug the HDMI cable into the motherboard. This way I’m using intel graphics, and the card isn’t recognised in the bios etc. I can also get it to boot by using my second PCIE slot (PCIE X4, so slower I think) and it all works fine with no red troubleshooting lights. when I did get it to boot, I did a full DDU (going into safe mode etc.) and this didn’t seem to fix it. I think my first PCIE slot might be broken somehow but I really don’t know. If anyone has any suggestions, I will be really happy. Thanks!
  14. Nvlddmkm gpuid:100 playing cs2 So I mostly play cs2 now, and today I got 2 crashes, one time it just closed like alt f4 without .dmp file and second time it freezed my game and I could only close it via TaskMngr. It’s pretty rare tho, I have 80+ hours in cs2 and got only 3 crashes so far. I haven’t updated any nvidia or windows drivers for the last 3-2 months. I have fan gpu software running in the background since forever. I had quite a lot of problems with my pc in the past, but for the last 3-4 months I had 0 crashes/problems. I also have color vibrance and custom nvidia panel settings. No cs2 launch options and disabled full screen optimization. It only happened in cs2 so far, which is known for crashing at random times. So what can I do to further investigate the problem? DDU? or maybe this is a cs2 problem? PS: I have 4070ti 7600x 32gb

I have very little experience in building PC’s. I installed a Gigabyte 4080 Super I got from Newegg today, with the help of a LTT Youtube Short and 2 friends via facetime. Upon powering up my PC, the GPU wasn’t detected in the System Information, Device Manager, or BIOS. I downloaded the latest Nvidia Driver with support for the 4080 Super, and when I ran the Installation I was met with an error that said I can’t install this driver because there is no nvidia hardware detected. I read a bunch of reddit threads and discovered DDU so I downloaded it and ran it according to the instructions (disconnecting GPU, running it while connected to motherboard, select GPU and NVIDIA, after shut down I connected the GPU but it still didn’t solve the problem. I read another thread here about Gigabyte specifically having an issue with their NVIDIA 12VHPWR adapter, and to try it with 1/3 of the cables disconnected, but to no avail as well. If anyone can help, I would be personally and eternally indebted lol If any other info is needed, please let me know. After reading the post instructions, I’m flashing my BIOS to the latest version now but I don’t know if that could be the cause of all this. UPDATE: I followed the recommendations and tried re-seating it without the Network Adaptor and it worked. Although I should mention I think it was not properly seated the first time. I’m going to re-install the Network Adaptor later tonight after work and see if it works still. Thanks for the help guys!
  16. I currently have a homebrew Windows 10 PC running a Zen 3 CPU and an NVIDIA 2080. My current setup works fine, but I'm wondering if I upgraded to the Zen 5 CPU (for the extra processors and the bigger cache), which uses a Radeon graphics subsystem, would that cause problems with the NVIDIA card? Would it be a pain to configure, since I don't need two graphics systems (and I like the NVIDIA card fine)? Should I use a different upgrade path? The mb is an AORUS X570, if that matters.
  17. Hey Everyone, I just finished a new build with a 4080 Super founders edition and gigabyte z790 aorus pro X. Everything was working fine and stable until I installed the NVIDIA drivers—the pc became unresponsive to keyboard and mouse input and I had to force reboot. I was able to get past the login screen but in about 5 seconds the same thing happens. The only way I found it to run stable is by forcing 8x8 on the PCIe slot through the bios PCIe bifurcation, which of course I don’t want to do. Found a similar thread but no real solution. I already have: updated BIOS tried both versions of the 4080 Super drivers Enabled native ASPM tried with multiple displays not using riser, GPU is direct to top PCIe 5.0x16 slot. I’m thinking of just exchanging the mobo for ROG strix gaming A WiFi II (nothing is able to recognize my RAM’s RGB, but that’s hardly an issue) but it’s a whole lot of work for something that IMO shouldn’t be an issue. Any ideas or thoughts you may have are welcomed. Thanks in advance! 18. SECOND AND FINAL UPDATE: After thorough testing I've confirmed that this is a software issue with Nvidia which is unfortunately beyond our control. I've found only one workaround and that is to turn off "Extend these displays" and use "Show only on X" (X being whatever your G-Sync monitor's number is) while you play games with G-Sync enabled. I've confirmed that this has completely resolved all issues and crashes for me. I know this isn't the solution you were expecting, especially if you use your second monitor to do other things (e.g. read chat messages) while gaming on your primary, but it's better than nothing as at least you don't have to completely unplug your secondary monitor(s) and can continue to use it as long as you don't run games. Multi-monitor G-Sync will only crash with games running, so you don't need to constantly turn G-Sync off and on while you're doing anything else (e.g. browsing or working). You'll only need to disable display extension while gaming. This solution is mostly aimed at people who use their G-Sync display as their main monitor and primarily for gaming, and only use their secondary monitor(s) for work (for example: if you are an artist and have a pen display connected). Of course, you can always just disable G-Sync altogether and use all your screens as you like without issues, and if you play competitive games (e.g. Valorant), it's recommended that you do turn it off to reduce latency. I hope this thread has helped some of you. Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year. UPDATE FOR ALL G-SYNC MONITOR OWNERS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE (READ THE DETAILED LETTER BELOW THE UPDATE): I've made a discovery after many tests. For currently unknown reasons, it was having G-Sync enabled with a second non-G-Sync monitor plugged in at the same time that caused the random Windows 10 crashes/freezes. I am still running further tests to figure out why G-Sync was exclusively causing this with a second monitor plugged in, but if you are having the same issue make sure you have ONLY the G-Sync display plugged in and no other monitor. This should solve any crashing/freezing issues (no guarantees of course, issues vary). It seems this is not a new issue with Nvidia, as I found similar threads for other monitors and PC specs from a few years ago, but they were using G-Sync compatible monitors. Well, seems this issue can apparently appear in native G-Sync as well. I will update this thread again when/if I have further news and/or a solution (so other monitors can be plugged in at the same time too). ----------- Hello, I recently purchased a new monitor, the ASUS ROG Swift PG279QM. It's running at 1440p 240Hz and has a native Nvidia G-Sync module. My GPU is ASUS' GTX 1080 Ti Strix OC. Nothing is overclocked. When G-Sync is on, the PC will randomly freeze forever during games until I hard-restart it via the reset button on the case. Here is how the crash proceeds: Game image will freeze entirely and permanently. Keyboard and mouse will lose signal and no longer function at all (keyboard caps lock etc. will not register either, so no LEDs). These two will maintain their electricity but if the keyboard is unplugged and replugged during the freeze, it will not get its power back. The mouse will. Though still nothing functions. Sound will keep playing in the background for about one minute but will gradually lose volume until it finally gets distorted and also gets cut off completely. At this point everything is nonoperational. Important notes: The PC does not, ever, restart on its own, regardless of how long I wait. If I don't use the reset button to restart the system, it will stay frozen like that forever. In this frozen state, the PC's hardware continues to work normally. There is no throttling or fans stopping or speeding up, everything carries on as usual. Since this is not registered as a crash/bluescreen by Windows, but just an unexpected manual restart, there is zero info on what failed prior to the freeze. If during the freeze the PG279QM is turned off and back on, it will turn on with extremely low brightness and no image (the previous game image that froze will be gone). I will still be able to open the OSD but see it just barely due to the low brightness. However, it will retain all of its settings, as the OSD will still show 1440p 240Hz and G-Sync (the LED on the monitor will also remain red indicating G-Sync is on). Note that the settings include the brightness. The monitor does not drop its setting to low brightness, it becomes dark with the normal brightness setting still there. However, if the PG279QM is unplugged from the GPU and then replugged, just like the keyboard, it will no longer receive signal at all, stating that no input was detected, at which point the brightness of the monitor returns to normal. So whatever causes the darkening specifically at least must come from a massive GPU driver crash. I also have a second monitor connected which is a 1440p 60Hz non-G-Sync one. Unlike the PG279QM, during the freeze, this monitor will retain its brightness even if it's turned off/on and/or replugged, as well as whatever image it was displaying before the freeze. This monitor will not lose signal no matter what. Nevertheless, it also stays frozen. I've used various Nvidia drivers, currently using the latest ones along with Windows 10 64-bit fully updated. If this is somehow a driver issue, it has not been looked into by Nvidia in the past 5 GPU drivers now. This bizarre freeze happens exclusively with G-Sync on and always with a game running. Especially if the game dips to 30 FPS (e.g. cutscenes, pause menus capped by the developers etc.). There has never been a crash with G-Sync off. The G-Sync freeze has almost always happened when a game was either paused or going through a loading screen at a capped 30 FPS. I've run many troubleshooting tests. The PC always runs cool even under 100% load for extended periods of time and passes all tests without errors. Unfortunately, this phenomenon is completely random and therefore impossible to recreate and troubleshoot. It could crash within an hour or go without a crash for days. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? The monitor is brand new and appears to be working flawlessly. I also ran extensive stress tests on my PC to ensure the GPU isn't failing and got no issues. Is this perhaps a problem with Windows 10? I have not tried Windows 11 with G-Sync in games yet. After looking around online I also found the possibility that perhaps my PSU is failing. I had a 1080p 60Hz monitor before the PG279QM so it's possible that my PSU can't keep up with the massive specs upgrade. Any insight is welcome. Thank you for your time.
  19. Chat with RTX Now Free to Download | NVIDIA Blog So far, its been mostly right. I've been able to get it to give me some wrong information and information that conflicted with previous responses. The datasets that it comes with are limited, but the 'default' option at least can scour the internet. I imagine more robust datasets will come out in the future, but so far, its quite promising. With my RTX 4090, I'll see it cause a jump in GPU utilization anywhere from 50-100%, which didn't impact gaming performance in a DLSS enabled game, Warframe, while also still being instant in its response. Outside of the installation process, CPU+RAM don't seem to matter. The installation process took a solid hour with regular 100% CPU and RAM utilization. Anyone else playing with it, and with what hardware?
  20. Hi, I recently got a hold of 2 GTX Titan Black's and I was trying to get CUDA running on them. But as of now I couldn't get CUDA to work on this PC. I'm using Driver version 470.223.02 with CUDA version 11.4 and Ubuntu 22.04. When trying to download the CUDA toolkit for that version the latest Ubuntu version supported is 20.04. Is there any way to get CUDA running on this system without reinstalling Ubuntu (downgrading to 20.04)? Thanks in advance.
  21. Let's say that you got two graphics cards that are nearly identical in price and performance. Is it safe to say that NVidia seems to offer much more features than AMD? Am I wrong?
  22. IMG_4886 - Copy.mov I recently received my 4080 super FE. After launching Forza Horizon 5 and maxing out settings on 1440p. This was the sound coming from my GPU. It starts a few seconds before the GPU fans begin spinning. Is this a normal amount of coil whine?
  23. My GTX 1050 Ti started exhibiting some very worrisome behavior. It was fine up until a couple hours ago, when it started to suddenly crash. I was playing a game and chatting with a friend when all of a sudden BAM. black screen and both Discord and the game I was playing (Genshin Impact) crashed. Upon further testing, I discovered this crash happens only under 3D loads. Video decoding/encoding and normal desktop use are normal still. EDIT: Forgot to add system specs. My apologies. CPU: Xeon-e3 1230v2 RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 from Kingston (99U5403-159.A01LF) GPU: GTX 1050 TI MOBO: ASRock H61M-VS PSU: Gigabyte P450B In Event Viewer, it shows the following structure of errors. (Latest one is on the top) - Display warning (Error ID 4101) - nvlddmkm Error (Error ID 0) - nvlddmkm Error (Error ID 0) - nvlddmkm Error (Error ID 0) - nvlddmkm Error (Error ID 0) Inside any of the four errors, contains the following (xx changes every time, increasing by one) \Device\000000xx Restarting (or Reset) TDR occurred on GPUID:100 That sequence happens between 1-120s of starting any 3D load. And if too many happen in sequence (A.K.A The app doesn't fully crash) the pc will freeze with a black screen and require a restart. I already ran DDU and reinstalled the latest driver (I was using an old version when it started (546.33), and it continued happening even in the latest one (551.23)). I am tech savvy enough to have collected a HWINFO log of it happening (I ran 3DMARK Firestrike - it lasted for about 2 minutes) Which I'll be attaching to this post - but I don't really know if any of it CAN indicate some issue. Some other things: - I have no other PC to test the GPU in (However, I do have a friend with a gaming PC that I could use, but he is busy currently, and will travel tomorrow morning, only to be back at next Wednesday.) - I have no money to buy any replacement GPU nor to repair this one, and my system has no iGPU (Ivy Bridge Xeon e3) so in the case of it ACTUALLY being dead, I'll have to deal with it. - Lastly, this GPU has already been repaired once, a whole year go. It was gifted to me by a friend that lives near the sea, so it had some corrosion issues on the memory modules. Has been running FLAWLESSLY since then, up until today. UPDATE: It died for good now GPU Log.CSV
  24. Can someone help me with this? Did everything Icould, disable windows driver signature enforcement, DDU, reinstalled, tried different drivers, reinstalled OS, still nothing. I have to re-install drivers every time i restart my pc. and every time I restart my pc it will not detect my main monitor (display port) and the display will go to my tv (HDMI) and it'll be on stretched res
  25. Hello, I've been having a weird problem with audio over HDMI to TV and I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem, and if so, if they discovered a solution for it. I have an RTX 3080 Ti connected to a TV with a 4K 120hz connection, and the audio works fine for probably around 30 minutes, then it gets distorted and eventually completely cuts off. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables (rated for the full 48gbps spec of HDMI 2.1) and they all eventually showed this problem. I have found a temporary fix, but it's still annoying to get up mid-movie and mess with the audio settings to get it working again. That is to change the sample rate from 48000 hz from 44100 hz and then back to 48000 hz. I don't have any idea why this fixes it temporarily, but it seems to. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue, and if so, found a solution I could try? Thank you!
