Alrighty.... So here's the deal. I've had a 3 monitor setup for a while now. I also have a nice little racing sim setup that I can throw onto the desk for some fun. It's not the main focus of my setup, but it's a darn fun part of it. I used to have 3 crappy 60hz monitors, then I got a certain 144hz monitor for the middle and loved it. Because of picky OCD reasons, and the old monitors were REALLY old... I ended up getting the same 144hz monitor all around for the 3 monitor setup. (It's overkill blah blah blah, I'm well aware). However, it had occurred to me that "Hey, I can run a few sim racing games at over 144fps across 3 screens with Nvidia surround! That'll be cool!" So that was something I was looking forward to. Long story short: I didn't do very much thinking about this. My RTX 2070 SUPER has 2x DP, 2x HDMI, and 1x USB-C outputs. This means that that one of the monitors on my setup have to run at HDMI. When I initially setup Nvidia surround, I was looking forward to the 144hz option, but it wasn't available. It's also worth noting that my HDMI output is fully capable of running 144hz independently. When I run the monitors outside of surround, they all run at 144hz. However, they can't do it in surround. I've spoken with people on reddit, as well as Nvidia support, and it's been said to me that it's because the DP and HDMI connections have different "timings". I was told to attempt overriding that in the Nvidia control panel and to give them common timing settings when configuring custom resolutions, which I did but I was never successful. Sometimes I see the "144" option, but it will flicker and default to 60hz instead. This isn't the end of the world, I'm just being nit-picky. Basically, I was just wondering if there was any way I can solve this. I saw that there are things I could install into a different PCIE slot with DP outputs, but that won't work with Nvidia surround, right? Since it wouldn't be coming from the GPU? Is the only way to fix this to get a GPU with 3x DP outputs? I just hope that this is possible without having to get a new GPU. Any help or advice is welcome and appreciated. I've come to terms with the fact that this isn't possible, so no stress. Just throwing this out here in hopes for something. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks to anyone who even reads this, Kontrol,

Hello Having an issue with Nividia surround. I have 3 high refresh rate monitors (144HZ)m 2k Msi mag27cq monitors. From what their website says they are all HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2. I also have a 2700x and a ASUS stryx 1080. The problem i have running 2 of them in nvidia surround with display port can get full res and full refresh rate. But the minute i plug in the 3rd monitor i can get all the way to 120 hz when not in NVidia surround even through I bought a cable that should allow 144hz. Then i also cannot get past 60hz in nvidia surround at the full 7680x1440p resolution. Is this a limitation of the 2dp ports and the 1 HDMI? Any assistance would be appreciated.

I'm having an issue with one of three identical LG monitors (Model 27GL850). I bought the first two in August 2021, and the third just last week. These are 1440p 144hz screens, and my goal was to use Nvidia surround spanning to have an ultrawide display for gaming. When using each screen as a separate display, all three screens run at 144Hz. But when I switch on Nvidia Surround, the resolution is forced set to 60Hz. I believe the issue has to do with how the monitors are named. In the windows display settings, and in the Nvidia control panel, the first two screens have a different name than the third. Also, the first two monitors show 144.000Hz as the refresh rate, while the newest screen shows 143.973Hz. I also found that the service menu on the newest display is different than the service menu on the first two. Below are images of Windows settings and Nvidia Control panel showing the three screens, one with a different name I also ensured that the new monitor has the same model number sticker on the back side as the other two monitors (first picture is the new monitor, second is the old) Finally, here are pictures of the two different service menus. The most notable difference is the version number. Again, first picture is of the new monitor, second is of the old. Computer info: Windows 10x64, AMD Ryzen 7 5800x, NVIDIA RTX 3070, 32GB RAM

I currently have 2 Acer 24" 1080p 60Hz Monitors. I'm looking into getting an acer predator 24" 1080p 144hz G-sync monitor. With the 144 in the center (obviously), would I be able to run nvidia surround with g-sync above 60hz (horsepower permitting) on the 144? I don't care if the 60hz monitors experience tearing, as long as the center one does not. I have a quad monitor setup. 3 x 1280x1024 at 75Hz and a TV on top. Whenever I try running Nvidia surround in 3840x1024 in 60, or 75Hz (I also created a 3840x1024 custom resolution), all 3 screens go black and don't come back, but my TV stays on and when I check my display settings, it shows there's only a tv and an unrecognized single display that won't connect. So I either have to reinstall the driver to bring back the monitors, or restart the pc with one of them unplugged. Surround has worked before and I don't know why it stops working. It seems with every driver update it randomly works and stops working, even after DDU. Is this happening with anyone else? I'm running a GTX 960 and am considering upgrading to either a 1060 or an RX 570 and I'm leaning towards AMD since I hear nothing but good stuff about Eyefinity.

Hey guys, I'm new here, so I hope you'll cut me some slack I'm trying to set up my three monitors using nvidia surround. All the configuration steps work, but as soon as I hit the "Enable surround" button, everything freezes for a bit. A few flashes and random jumps between monitors later, and suddenly the surround view is working, except for that the monitor numbers (1,2,3) still show up on all screens. I then go ahead and try to close the Nvidia surroundsettings config window. Now it acts like its totally frozen for a bit, and after trying many times, it finally closes, and everyting is looking good. Nice!.....Thought so too until all my monitors start blinking black.(!) A few seconds pass between each blink, but I'd say it happens around every 10th second.. It's really annoying. Everything works, except for the blinking.. Does anyone know what the culprit could be? I've tried using DDU to remove all of the drivers, and reinstalling them but the problem is still here. My setup is as follows EVGA GTX 1070 FTW 1 Acer XB240HA 1080p 144hz monitor connected through DP 2 Samsung S24D390 1080p 60hz monitors. One connected through DP, the other one connected through HDMI I'll link my system info too. Any help is wildly appreciated guys asdfasdf.nfo

I know full well my pc is underpowered and will probably crash if I play anything like this, but I've had 3 monitors for years and figured I'd actually use nvidia surround despite them not being the same resolution or aspect ratio. When I turn it on my desktop works fine but when I start up a game my monitors on the side just shut off.. What am I doing wrong?

Hey guys, I happen to have peculiar problem which needs some help and advice. I am building a new pc, with all the peripherals. I happen to have a 18.5inch monitor. Now i am thinking of buying a 27 inch monitor and another 18.5inch monitor. And stack those two 18.5inch monitors VERTICALLY side by side of that 27inch monitor (27inch monitor in btw those to monitors). Now the doubt is that in vertical height those two 18.5 inch monitor are 2inch taller than than the height of 27inch monitor. Now what I want to do is to have 2inches of black bars on those 18.5inch monitor. And play games spread on all three monitors. Just like an ultrawide monitor. CAN I DO THIS. Help pls. I have ryzen 7 cpu and nvidia 1060 6gb gpu.

Hi! So I'm trying to connect 2 DIY monitors to my laptop to use in surround and have some issues. I can extend to the 2 external monitors fine, Nvidia Control Panel picks up everything fine and I can select between the 2 external displays. The problem is that Surround will only allow 2 displays to be connected and it makes it so my laptop display HAS to be one of them. I had to use moninfo to trick it into making my laptop display think it's one of the external ones to even allow the laptop display to be even selected except now it has the opposite problem I can't choose the 1x3 topology but I can choose which of the 2 external monitors can be used. How do I make it allow for 3 monitors? Specs: XMG PRO 15 / Clevo PB51EF-G RTX 2070 i7 8750H Corsair Vengeace 2666mhz 2x8GB

Hi there, So I've been doing some research for a while, and NVidia, for years, still has not enabled Surround to work with mixed resolution displays. In the end, I'm ok with that. Running my racing sims on my central 35" ultrawide is still a pretty good experience, but I'd love to get it running on all three of my monitors (2 27" side monitors, plus the ultrawide for a total resolution of 8560x1440). Does anyone know if someone has made a utility to make this work, or if someone has released some hacked drivers or a workaround of any fashion?

I now have three monitors to work with and it has been amazing for productivity. I have tried “Dirt 3” on the triple screen setup and it is amazing aside from the game being rather difficult. I have tried this with a few other games I have and they are clearly not designed for it as the Dirt 3 was. I’m looking for recommendations of games that work well with this extremly wide ratio. Any game type or genre is fine. Thanks in advance.

I have a gtx 1080 and each of my monitors are set up with display port cables directly to my graphics card. My middle monitor is 144hz 2560x1440 and the other two are 60hz 1920x1080. I want my better monitor in the middle with the other two on the outside. I have upscaled the 60hz monitors to 1440p and downscaled the maximum hz on the 144hz monitor to only 60 hz, which means that each monitor is running at the same resolution. I want to game at 7680x1440, however in the Nvidia control panel where you set up PhysX and Surround, the only resolution given to me is 3072x768 which looks TERRIBLE and I cannot change or choose another resolution. The icon that is supposed to say that I can change my resolution of all three monitors is greyed out, and I am not sure what to do from here! Someone please help me! Thanks so much -Maximus

Will this work? I heard that when you are configuring nvidia surround, you should have 3 identical monitors but other people says that you can use monitors with the same resolution. I have 2 identical samsung monitors and planning to buy a 2nd hand benq 24" monitor for surround. Can you please confirm? Thanks Edit: Samsung has 4ms refresh rate and Benq has 1ms refresh rate. I plan to put the Benq in the middle and the two identical samsung monitors on each side.

I have 3 monitors, 25UM56 in the center and 25UM58's on the sides. The 25UM56 is more blue and the sides are warm. Also I have a ColorMunki Smile. Is there a way to do color calibration in NVIDIA Surround? I tried to do it change the monitor's settings.

I have a 3 monitor 2D surround system, but my only option for a 4th display is a projector that has native resolution of 1024x768; Not a great option for a performance monitoring 4th display for GPU tuning software/chats/other aux display uses. Can I use a 10" Android tablet (Sony Xperia) as an auxiliary display?

So I just got my upgrades to NAVI (my main desktop) complete, including setting up 2d surround across 3 displays (see here, if you please) along with new (to me) mobo, CPU, GPU, and airflow optimization and now I'm off for a business trip for a week in Albuquerque. Goodbye for now, NAVI. I'll miss you. Now, I have a "decent" laptop, but with a GT745M, it's not really a gaming machine at all. When I do the upgrade thing in my laptop world, I would like to be able to take 3 monitor gaming with me. Anyone know of a portable monitors kind of solution? I'm thinking maybe a homebrew solution inspired by the video below. A couple of panels in as minimal housings as I could manage that I could just set flanking the laptop's monitor and run surround "on the go." Anyone? Thoughts?

I have, from left to right NAGA-II 1680x1050 20" - Playstation3D Display 1920x1080 24" - NAGA 1680 x 1050 20" Not trying to run the PS3D Display in 3D, just 2D. I only use it for 3D with my PS3. That's on a GTX 690 with all monitors connected via DVI and the miniDisplayport is open. Win10 x64 Pro and i7-2600K. Currently, I am stuck with 3840x1024. This seems to be a remnant from when the leftmost display was a 1280x1024 Dell thing. I want the resolutionz! Can you halp? Is it possible to run surround at any of these resolutions: 5280x1050 5040x1050 Or anything higher than the 3840x1024 I seem to be stuck with. Thanks for reading and any advice or help in advance!!!

I have been searching around the internet and haven't been able to come up with a working solution. I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to watch videos, mostly using Google Chrome on sites like Netflix and YouTube, with nVidia surround without the video player taking up my two side monitors with black bars? Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

[i don't know if this is the appropriate area to post so if it isn't, please feel free to move it] I would like to be able to enable/disable Nvidia surround with a hotkey while in game as some games don't do surround good at all. I know Nvidia control panel has this option but it doesn't work in games and it recently stopped working. It would disable it but not re-enable it which is unfortunate. If there is a program or a way to set up a file to do this, it would be highly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Today I tried setting up my three monitors for surround gaming and am running into some issues. For everyday use and productivity I use my monitors as three separate displays that extend onto one another like this: In order to have 5760 x 1080 as a valid screen resolutions I need to enable Nvidia surround so that Windows interprets the three displays as one like this: This is fine for gaming, but for everyday use it doesn't work for me. The half window snapping goes across two displays instead of just half of one, as well as some other issues. Nvidia includes a hot-key for switching off the surround. The problem is that when I switch from Nvidia surround to three separate displays, it disables two of them: This forces me to re-add the two other displays every time I disable Nvidia surround. Is there a fix for this, or an alternate way to game on 3 monitors? Edit: This thread didn't really get picked up, but in case anyone else runs into this issue I found somewhat of a fix here: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1590030 Basically someone created a script that does what the Nvidia hot-key should do. It works for me.

I own an alienware x51 with an nvidia gtx 745. I wanted to do some lightweight dual monitor gaming on it. I have one dell 1920x1080 60 hertz monitor plugged into hdmi and a 1680x1050 59 hertz gateway monitor Plugged into dvi. I went into nvidia control panel, but could not find option is my card not compatible or is it a problem with monitors.(I tried switching gateway monitor to 60 hertz, but it will go right back up to 59)Though nvidia control panel says its 60 though windows says its 59.
