will normal Msi GTX 1080 gaming 8GB work with Msi gtx 1080 gaming x 8Gb in SLI? pleaseee

I have recently purchased a gtx 970 and an nvidia sli bridge, however the nvidia control panel can't see the bridge. (I have tried 2 sli bridges, so odds are it is software related) Help?

Welcome to my 4th Parvum Systems build... The first was Parvum Titanfall, the Second was Parvum Warfare, and most recently Tears In Rain. If you hadn't guessed yet, this one is themed around the upcoming Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 release... More on that below. I have a thing for doing themed builds I just can't shake... That happened with all 3 previous builds; there was never a question, I felt inspired and motivated for those concepts. While Black Ops "4" has a nice fitting "4" ring to it that goes with my Parvum chronology, something is pulling me in... CoD may be a controversial brand that's lost it's footing here and there, but I have faith in Treyarch despite silly rumors, and the universe is just so rich and ripe for the thematic plucking. I designed the case and have sent said design to Parvum to work their acrylic wizardry. Hey Guys, so i got myself a second MSI 980 Gaming 4G for christmas. I installed it yesterday and tried out playing games with it today. The first thing I noticed was screen flashing of death. So I looked that up and found as a solution putting the game in borderless windowed mode, which works quite fine. But I have one major issue. Although my cards are correctly configured, I don't get any performance boost at all. Especially in borderless windowed mode, i can literally forget playing on Ultra settings. I have seen some gameplays of e.g. AC Unity on Ultra with 970s and 980s in SLI, which didn't look like anything I am experiencing right now. Certainly I have already updated and reinstalled my drivers quite a few times and I have played around with the SLI Bridge - nothing helped. Since I spent quite a lot of money on my second graphics card, I really do want a performance boost and I'm kinda desperate right now. Please, help me! Just a simple question here, why aren't both cards running at 8x PCI-E 3.0? My top card is running at PCI-E 3.0, however my bottom card is running at PCI-E 1.1. I also have a PCI-E 1x WiFi card plugged in, but that's going through the PCH. So I've decided to go with my 980 SLI setup but it doesn't work, I've tried every solutions and been on google for straight 2 days but still nothing. Here's a list of what I've done - Both of the card is working properly (already test individualy with the top PCiE lane) - Uninstall / Reinstall (completely remove) graphics driver - I plugged in my sound card on the second PciE lane which is work fine but when I plugged in 980 it doesn't work, the display doesn't show anything - When I have both of my cards installed, I couldn't find the card either in Device Manager or in my Motherboard Bios ( in bios ==> second Pcie lane not present) - I tried to flip the SLI bridge, change to another SLI bridge (The EVGA SLI PRO v2, which is light up but still nothing) - Tried fresh windows install to another HDD but still doesn't work => My Mobo which is pretty sure support both SLI and CFX ready top lane PCIE 3.0 x16/x8 second lane PCIE 3.0 x8/x6 PLEASE HELP ME, I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR A WEEK, I DON'T WANT TO WASTE MY MONEY FOR ANOTHER 980 THAT I BOUGHT <====> My Specs: <====> Asus ROG Maximus Hero VII Motherboard Intel i5-4690 CPU Corsair H60 Water Cooler for cpu x2 EVGA Geforce GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0 x4 4GB Corsair Vengeance RAM (16GB total) Asus DVD Player Corsair RM 1000W Gold PSU Samsung EVO 850 250GB SSD 2TB WD HDD Black Edition 2TB WD HDD Green Edition Windows 8.1 Pro x64 Cooler Master Storm Trooper Case

So I'm really looking forward to my new SLI build that I hope to be purchasing very soon. I've settled on SLI 770, and now I'm stuck on the PSU. Every site recommends at LEAST 850w for SLI 770s, but forum sites say 750w is enough. I've seen sli 780s with an i7 4770k on only an 800w psu with no problem, so only having 50 less watts for sli 770s and an i5 shouldn't be an issue. But I don't want to have problems. Do you guys think this will be enough power? Also I'm asking this because I'm on a budget and I can get a 750w 80+gold psu for only $110, or get a cheap 850w 80+bronze for $140, and I'd rather spend 30 less and get a higher quality and efficient supply. Also here are my general specs: CPU: i5 4670k (Maybe will overclock in the future) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i RAM: 2x4gb DDR3 1600, 1.5V Motherboard: Gigabyte ATX Z87 Storage: Samsung 120gb SSD, & WD Blue 7200rpm 1TB Graphics Cards: 2x GTX 770 Nvidia Reference Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I was wondering what you guys thought about the airflow in this system based on all of the choices I've made. I'm replacing all of the fans in the case, putting two 120 mm Noctua fans at the front and one 120 mm noctua fan at the back. The 780 Tis I'm getting are the ASUS versions with two fans each. Do you guys think this will have sufficient airflow to keep temps below 80 degrees or should I implement a water cooling loop? Thanks in advance.
