Hello, I've seem to have run into an issue; I've decided to use windows 10 ameliorated on my laptop because I prefer it over the original and am trying to install nvidia drivers on it Trying to use the DCH drivers won't install nvidia control panel (which I'll call NCP for simplicity) because DCH tries to download it from the microsoft app store However, Win10ame removes the ms app store So I tried the Standard drivers instead. However, as noted here, Standard drivers won't install on a laptop running win10ame Is there a solo install of NCP, not tied to a driver or MS app store? or perhaps another solution that will work (without switching to normal Windows 10)? if any additional information is needed, simply ask and I'll answer thank you all very much in advance

Hi, I have a question about the Nvidia Control Panel Windows Store App. Upon first installation in 20H2, automatic with a clean install, it asks to accept a EULA when first launched, but when I installed it on another PC without an MS user account it is the normal app without the license prompt. Does anyone know why? Does resetting the app via Apps & Features will prompt it again besides removing all of my custom settings?

Hello! so, I just entered Nvidia control panel and I saw an option that wasn't there before, and this option lets me add custom resolutions, so, my question is, can I add a resolution that is higher than my monitor's resolution safely? I think its kinda clear which the response will be but, I just wanna ask anyway. I have a Dell Precision m6600 with a 1920x1080 display and the GPU is the Quadro3000m. So, if you tell me "no, you can increase the resolution by any amount safely" i'm done with that, if you tell me something different, i'll read it too, thank you

Have the 32' Samsung Space Monitor notorious for its lack of VESA support, I managed to find a work around for a 'clamp' adapter but that leave 2 notches after installation. Nvidia control panel provides option to apply a virtual resolution and effectively cut off the top inch of the display, but the scaling is not coming with repositioning option. Thus, it will form a dark frame which cost the left, right, and bottom inch of the display as well. If there a solution that will does the virtual resolution thing and also allow me to reposition the center of screen lower, so I could keep the maximum screen territory possible after cutting off the notches?

Hi. for some reason epic games launcher has defaulted to running on my dedicated GPU (GTX 1050). I've changed the settings in Nvidia Control panel to ensure that it runs on integrated GPU as well as setting the preferred GPU to integrated in the global settings panel. However, Epic games launcher still decides to run on my dGPU. Its quite annoying and i dont feel comfortable with my GPU running for prolonged periods since i leave my laptop on overnight to update programs and i dont like to leave it plugged in that long Thanks

I was trying to enable SLi but my control panel does not show the option on the left. The GPU are the same "EVGA 2070 Super XC Ultra". I posted the GPU-Z for both to get a better idea of them being the same and I also posted a screen of control panel. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphic driver (time of writing 445.87) as well as uninstalling the NVIDIA Control Panel and reinstalling it as well. Running out of troubleshooting steps so hoping anyone may have an ideal. Oh yes I do have a Geforce RTX NVlink Bridge connected and the cards is in PCIe slot 1 & 2. Hi there! I´m bought few months a go an MSI GE62 with an nvidia gtx 1060. Even tho is a notebook I´m able to run desktop drivers and notebook ones. It´s a beast, goes vell no BSOD whatever I do just perfect, also it oc it selfs over 2GHz and so on, but my problem is the DSR one. I can´t get it to work in this notebook, i mean whatever driver I install for desktop or notebook there is no DSR in control panel. I have a small pc with a gt 730 that runs DSR. Any idea why this is? Did nvidia removed DSR from 10 series?!
-
Hello, I saw that I couldn't set a custom resolution with DSR enabled. I then thought that if I set a custom resolution with the same resolution of DSR, will it have the same effect? I'm thinking about this because I run my display at a custom 75hz but if custom resolutions are disabed, I can't choose anything higher than 60hz.

Hi there, Sorry if this is the wrong section, it's CPU/GPU question. I'm building a new computer (desktop) and am concerned about a problem that I have with my current laptop. I don't want it to reoccur on my new desktop. My current laptop's situation: https://superuser.com/a/710310 (screenshot below of my laptop's Nvidia Control Panel) I'm looking at the new Coffee Lake CPUs, i5 8600K and i7 8700K. Both have intergrated Intel GPUs. I'm concerned that the intergrated Intel GPU will interfere with the Nvidia GPU (and Nvidia Control Panel) on my new desktop, like it's doing on my laptop. Should I be concerned or is there no reason to, because of different software and drivers? The new desktop will be using Windows 10. I need the Nvidia settings for Nvidia surround. If you have any questions, just ask. Thanks in advance! -- Casey

Ever since I installed GeForce Experience 3 (the redesigned one) This error has been popping up when I go to launch it. I have tried reinstalling it, this works until I close it, then when I go to launch it again it comes up with the same error. Another solution I found was to use DDU to uninstall my drivers and then reinstall them. Once again this worked but only for a certain amount of time (nearly a week) then it broke again. I have been googling this problem and tried many of the solutions some of which suggested to go into the NVidia control panel to mess around with settings however every time GeForce experience stops working so does the NVidia Control Panel it doesn't just stop working though, it completely disappears from my computer, it can't be accessed by right clicking the desktop, searching it in the search bar or accessing it through the control panel. But as soon as GeForce experience starts working (when I reinstall it or my drivers) the Nvidia Control panel does as well. This issue has been bugging me for ages now and I would really like a fix for it any help would be greatly appreciated. *edit* Forgot to add system specs CPU: Intel i5 4460 GPU: Gtx 970 Gigabyte Windforce 3x RAM: 8gb (2x4gb) Kingston DDR3 HDD: 1tb blue PSU Silverstone Strider Essentials 700w

What is the best output color format in the nvidia control panel (RTX 2060) for 4K and HDR display ? I have my desktop connected with my TV (LG 43UM7450PLA) using HDMI 2.0. When i selected YCbCr420 can support 8bit and 12bit, RGB and YCbCr444 only 8bit and YCbCr422 8,10 and 12bit color depth. Now i selected the YCbCr420 and i believe is the best option for my TV because of the 12bit color depth am i right ?

HI! So there is an option in Nvidia control panel, the output color format, see picture. I have a 4k IPS HDR 10 bit monitor, what is the best option? RGB YCBCR422 YCBCR444 I couldn't find anything explanation to the difference. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hi there, first post Anyways... I have an Acer XF251Q which supports 75Hz but the Nvidia control panel is leaving me confused... so, its telling me the native resolution is 1080p, 1920 x 1080 but I cannot go higher than 60Hz. However, the 1920 x 180 selection allows for 75Hz.To make this even more confusing, my scaling screen is showing 1920 x 1080 @ 75Hz but I don't believe this to be true because Windows is showing 60Hz. Anyways, my question here is 1920 x 1080 not always 1080p? Do I want 1080p @ 60Hz or 1920 x 1080 @ 75Hz? I honestly can't tell the difference but it's still bugging me. I primarily use this system for basic stuff, gaming, and watching YouTube but I rarely ever watch movie. I'm struggling a bit to understand this or find clear information so if you have anything to add it would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi, I'm encountering this weird glitch were my resolution is been interfered by a digital monitor that I don't know how it was created. Nvidia control panel calls it a Digital Monitor connect to DVI when nothing is connected the DVI port :/. I'm using a Gsync monitor through display port. Any help on removing this ghost/ digital monitor would be great. Cheers. Example of the glitch when I print screen:

I'm actually not sure if this counts as a software issue but here it is. Recently, I started seeing these 2 programs in the 3D settings (Program Settings) of the Nvidia Control Panel "0x7204:0x6A7 (0x7204:0x6A7)" and "0x7204:0x0734 (0x7204:0x0734)" It's probably also worth noting then I get a disconnection sound when I startup my PC lately. (That sound when you disconnect a USB in case that needs explaining)

Hi there! I just bought a new monitor (Viewsonic VX2758-2KP-MHD) that I want to connect through DisplayPort to mini-DP on my laptop. All reviews of the monitor have shown that the monitor is compatible with G-sync despite being a Freesync monitor, but my problem is that the monitor does not appear in the NVIDIA Control Panel. I'm running a second different model monitor over HDMI that is recognised in the NVIDIA Control Panel. Similarly, if I connect my new monitor through HDMI it will also appear - it is just the DisplayPort connection that doesn't work with it. The DP port seems to be working normally - picture is great and I'm getting 144Hz as advertised - it's just not showing in the NVIDIA Control Panel. I've tried forcing it to recognise the monitor with the options under 'My display is not shown..." but still no luck. I've downloaded the latest drivers from Viewsonic and NVIDIA, gave the laptop a couple reboots but no joy. Could anyone please help me out?

Hi, as the title says, i am unable to create custom resolution. The "customize" button is greyed out. I used a 75Hz profile, but needed to change some color stuff, so i jumped into classic 1920x1080 60Hz mode and the 75Hz one disappeared. Can't set anything except the Nvidia presets. GTX1060, latest W10, latest GPU driver. Thanks

on my desktop the nvidia control panel works flawlessly but my laptop with a 1050ti the settings wont take effect for example if I turn off vsync in game and turn it on in the control panel I still get screen tearing

I've had a high refresh rate display for a little while now (the AOC G246PG). In the past, the "Preferred Refresh Rate" setting in the Nvidia Control Panel - if put on "Highest Available" - would override whatever the currently running game's default refresh rate was and force it up the monitor's max of 144hz. This was very useful to me as I prefer to have my secondary monitor (which is 60hz) match my main monitor when I'm just doing productivity work. Of course, there were always a couple of games that ignored what the NVCP told them to do, but these games were definitely in the minority. But, as of recently, it seems as if this "Highest Available" option just isn't doing anything at all. All of my games are behaving as if its always set at "Application-Controlled." Most games will ONLY run at 144hz if the global desktop refresh rate has been set to 144hz beforehand. The Witcher 3, Borderlands 2, Portal 2, & Far Cry 3 are all games that I know worked in the past, but that now require me to change the desktop settings to get them to go to 144hz. Games that do have a built-in refresh rate setting - like Overwatch or Tomb Raider - do switch properly. Previously, if I had "Highest Available" turned on, changing the in-game refresh rate setting would make no difference since the graphics drivers just ignored it. This is no longer the case. It just acts as if its set on "Application-Controlled" and the monitor's refresh will change based on the game's setting. Particularly interesting is Skyrim - a game which is more or less hard-coded to run at 60hz. Previously I'd have to make an exception for that game, but now, even if the desktop is set to 144hz and "Highest Available" turned on, Skyrim will force the monitor down to 60hz. There is no way that is "Highest Available." Anyone else experiencing this or have any ideas what's going on? I'm not sure if this is the result of a recent windows update, driver release, both, or something else entirely.

My monitor's native resolution is 1600x900 but I was always able to set it to 1920x1080 in the nvidia control panel. Now when I do so the monitor says "out of range". My hard drive recently died in my PC therefore I had to reinstall Windows. I use the same nvidia driver so I have a feeling that it has something to do with windows screwing around with my GPU. Any help is appreciated.
