Is it possible to flash a Geforce RTX to an equivalent "Quadro" card? For instance, turning a 3070 Ti into an RTX A4000 (or a 3080 ti into an A5500, or a 3090 ti into an A6000). I just need one feature that is only on Quadro/Professional nVidia GPU; EDID override https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3569/~/managing-a-display-edid-on-windows I don't care about over/underclocking at all.

recently I bought an EVGA Gtx570 superclocked+ GPU which had an issue when the driver was installed there was no display output. I could not find anywhere the correct firmware file for this. can someone help me to find it?

so i am interested in squeezing every last drop of performance out of my 2070 armor card by msi, i have downloaded a multitude of different bios but all do not work, i have even tried the oc version of the armor 2070 and that does not work, all i get are the errors "gpu mismatch" on the patched version of nvflash, can someone please help me figure this out?

My setup: Windows 10 64bit Ryzen 5 2600 Motherboard MSI B350 PC MATE RAM 12gb DDR4 (8gb Kingston 2666mhz + older 4gb Kingston 2400mhz) PSU Corsair CX550F RGB White GPU: I had GTX 1060 6gb 6GT in PC and GTX 560 Ti in reserve What happened? Me being great tried flashing VBIOS of my 1060 but I donwloaded wrong one (I have MSI GTX 1060 6gb 6GT but I downloaded BIOS for MSI GTX 1060 6gb AERO) from techpowerup. First I backed up my old BIOS from 1060. Then I started nvflash and flashed my GTX 1060 6gb with, unbeknown to me, wrong BIOS. Screen flickered 2 times, then it was full of artefacts. I quickly started nvflash again even through artefacts and tried to flash it back with its old VBIOS that I Had ready, But nvflash said there was no NVIDIA gpu present in my system therefor it didnt flash anything. So I turned my PC off. What have I already tried? I turned my PC off after wrong flash. When I tried to start it again, I heard Windows through speakers like volume control but I had just black screen. My monitor turned on as if he was being sent signal from GPU but it was just black screen. No BIOS, no Win, no nothing. So I searched on internet and found out you can put nvflash on bootable USB so I created one with rufus which was suggested. Put it in my PC but again nothing changed, black screen. Troubleshooting in Windows: My CPU doesnt have integrated graphics therefor I kept my very old GTX 560 Ti in reserve just in case like this. When I put only 560 into PC and 1060 out, PC worked with no problems and still does. So i put both 560 and 1060 in system, cable to monitor into 560. I was able to get into Windows but only in 800x600 and after like 20 seconds drivers kick in and Windows just freezes and crashes, sometimes bluescreen sometimes not. I was able to quickly check Device manager, 1060 is in there but "disable device" is grey and there is no way to stop it, and Windows crashes soon. I tried uninstalling NVIDIA drivers with only 560 in system, then trying to boot with both of them but its same, no change. Troubleshooting with USB Basically same story, with 1060 just black screen with USB in pc or without. With 560 as main gpu with cable, and 1060 in system, nvflash in DOS on USB recognizes just 560 Ti. It just asks if i want to flash 560 ti which I dont so i decline it, I tried command --list , it listed 560 Ti only. Summary Wrongly flashed my GTX 1060 6gb 6GT with VBIOS for gtx 1060 6gb aero, now Windows recognizes it in Device manager but nvflash doesnt recognize it anywhere, making me unable to flash it back to its original bios which I have.

Can anyone help me locate the BIOS chip on this card? I want to try flashing it with a CH341A Programmer since flashing from NVflash always result in "No supported EEPROM found", and the chip can't be read either through GPUZ or NVflash. GPUZ pic and NVflash error in attachment. Thanks

I saw theres a version of nvflash supposedly for linux, but it does nothing when clicked. I know nothing of nvflash. Any alternatives recommended? I am on ubuntu. Thanks. My aim is to flash a diffrent bios to my gpu

I've recently bought a Quadro M6000 and I wanted to boost its performance. As far as I know there is no way of controlling the clocks with programs like afterburner so I decided to take the risk and do some Bios tweaking. All the informations I'm sharing are just to tell what I've done, to share the experience, I'm not taking any responsability on how you will use the informations - everything you do with the informations on this page are at you own risk, you can break the card. Lets start by summarizing what I've done: I've managed to increase the boost clock to 1342.0Mhz (from 1114,0), the base to 1152,0Mhz (from 987.5) and the memory clock to 3553 Mhz (from 3305). To be able to do that I also had to increase the power limit to 292W from the stock 250W (This extra power of 42W will be taken from the 8 PIN connector) and increase the maximum voltage to 1250,0mV. I had some headroom left but I figured that that was the maximum at which I can push the card with the stock blower cooler on it (after 1 hour of stress test with the TDP to about 96-97% and the fan at 91%, the temperature remained stable at 80°C [ambient temperature was 25°C]). Now the procedure: The programs I used are: GPU-Z Maxwell II BIOS Tweaker nvflash MSI Afterburner MSI Kombustor At first I backed up the original bios using nvflash by typing in the CMD as administrator: nvflash --save biosname.rom Once that was done I started the overclocking process. To start you need to wrote in the CMD as administrator: nvflash --protectoff (to disable write protection). Then i created a copy of the original bios to work on. I opened the copy on Maxwell Bios Tweaker and started by increasing the Core clock by 50 Mhz. Then I flashed the new bios by: disabling the GPU from device manager; typing in the cmd (as administrator): nvflash -6 nameofyournewbios.rom (and then you need to press y to confirm); after that you need to reboot the system, enable the device, reboot the system again and then test for stability. I repeated this procedure for about a dozens of time in order to make small modifications each time. At one point I reached power limit, the GPU was power throttling and the clock was reduced to about 1Ghz thus reducing the performance. I then edited the power table; that was the scariest part because all the informations I found on the internet about editing the power table didn't really match the numbers I saw from the bios. After some test I managed to get it working. I will now attach the pictures of the power tables, first the original ones and than the edited ones: ORIGINAL POWER TABLES EDITED POWER TABLES In the first three lines you can see the TDP limits. In this particular card you can't increase maximum TDP over 100% with the slide on an overclocking program (like afterburner) so you need to set the same value for maximum TDP and default TDP. Write in the first two lines 300000 (thats the maximum TDP). 75000 is the maximum PWR the GPU can take from the PCIE lane (you don't need to change it). The MAXIMUM PWR the GPU can take from the 8 PIN connector is 217000mW, the 300000 in the line under it does't change the maximum amount it can take, the maximim amount, in this GPU at least, is configured by changing the middle value (the one that has 217000 in this chart). 300000 is the absolute max it can take from the 8 pin conector, just set it to something higher than the middle value, the middle value is the real maximum power it will draw. The block with the lines 12000,87000,126000 I've no idea of what it does, I've just increased the maximum of a few watt but it doesn't seem to make a difference. The block with 150000,300000,300000 is the power limit, you can set it with a Def and a Max that are the same as TDP. So now after the bios flashing I increased the maximum power this gpu can take from 250000mW (75000+175000) to 292000mW (75000+217000). To handle this power I changed the fan curve with aferburner allowing the fan to reach 93% speed. I then increased the core frequency and also the Core voltage from a max of 1218,8mV to 1250mV to make it stable. Once I was happy with the Clock frequency I started overclocking the Ram, this process was relatively painless, I was able to increase ram frequency from 3305 to 3553Mhz without noticing any artifact or other driver problems. I stopped to 3553 because of the temperature, the card was starting to heat up to 80+°C and I wasn't confortable with such a high temperature. I will now attach the pictures of the Common table of Maxwell BIOS Tweaker before and after overclocking: BEFORE OVERCLOCKING AFTER OVERCLOKING As you can notice, to enable the boost clock you need to set the boost limit a little higher than the boost clock by moving the slider. Now i will attach the voltage table. As I said i needed to change the maximum voltage to 1250,0mV and also to move all the sliders before the one relative to the boost clock voltage in order to avoid a big voltage drop beetwen the one I changed and the ones with the original values. That was important, as I discovered, beacause a big voltage drop can cause problems such as screen freezing. ORIGINAL VOLTAGE TABLE AFTER OVERCLOCKING As you will see from the next pictures these voltages (CLK 06, CLK 07 ecc) seems to refer to the numbers on the boost table. BOOST TABLE BEFORE OVERCLOCK BOOST TABLE AFTER OVERCLOCK IMPORTANT: as you change the boost clock you need to move to the boost table and move the slider to match the max table clock with your boost clock (not the boost limit). You don't need to touch anything else on the table. So now the overclock is completed. As i said I could increase both core frequency and memory clock further than the value I've decided to use, but the temperature was starting to get out of control with the blower style cooler. As you can see from GPU-Z, at the end I was able to get this: I will now attach some pictures of the values during the benchmark (MSI Kombustor - (GL) msi-01) to show temperature, power consumpion and more: As you can see the TDP on GPU-Z is lower than the one displayed on Afterburner and that is because Afterburber is considering the 292W the card could actually take, while GPU-Z is considering the 300W maximum TDP that I've inserted in the bios (300W is just the teorycal maximum that I would allow the card to take, now I'm allowing it to take 292W which is enough as I saw beacause in different benchmarks the power usage never rised above 282W). So, in conclusion, how much performance I gained with this overclock? I've done several benchmarks and I will now attach the results from 3D Mark TIME SPY before and after overclock (only GPU score) and SPECviewperf [all at default settings]: First 3D Mark: Before overclocking: Graphics score 5220 Graphics test 1 33.70 FPS Graphics test 2 30.18 FPS After Overclocking: Graphics score 5 887 Graphics test 1 38.58 FPS Graphics test 2 33.59 FPS And now SPECviewperf: Before overclocking: After Overclocking: I'm very happy with the gain in performance I was able to get with the stock cooler and some tweaking. The factory fan settings for the gigabyte gtx 970 g1 are really loud so I went and flashed the bios to allow lower rpms, the issue i've had is that even when i've set this custom fan curve in msi afterburner the fan will randomly spin up sometimes at absurd rpms for a second or two when i'm in a game. I've tried to find the cause for this but I have no idea how to solve this. Any suggestions?

So im kinda late too the races. But i was following this guide that linus was refering to, where you could get 0 fan mode. Does anyone have or know where i can find a high preformrence bios for this gpu ? Ive only found gtx980 founders edition high preformrence bios flash.

Hello, So i just purchased a 580 second hand on the cheap for a short term replacement but the fan control is bad it would only let me change it down to 40%. So i just flashed the bios with nvflash after using NiBiTor.v6.03 to change the fan minimum to 0% and after setting up a fan profile on after burner below 40 its not going any lower still but now it lets me select the lower percentage? Whats going on here how do i get it to actually let me change it below 40% i put it to 0% to test but it didn't change.

I modified the BIOS of GTX1070 mobile and tried flash using nvflash_5.590.0. However, "Bios Cert 2.0 Verification Error" appears. Is there a way to solve this?

Hi! I'm trying to flash my GPU BIOS due that the fans of my GPU aren't stopping once they started spining, I bought my GPU last month and the fans was working good until Aorus Graphics Engine updated the GPU, but when I tried run nvflash I'm getting this message "You are run 64-bit application on 32-bit Windows. Please use 32-bit application instead." but my Windows 10 is 64-bit even I have reinstalled Windows 10 but I get the same messange. WTF! Any idea? my GPU model: GV-N108TAORUS-11GD

When i try to flash my 760 bios with the nvflash -4 -5 -6 BIOS.rom command it just says ERROR: Failed to merge inform image. Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it? EDIT: Completely forgot to mention this problem is probably happening because i did not use the -4 -5 -6 commands. BUT if i do use them the flashing process will not even start and if i dont the first mentioned problem of merging inform images will happen.

hi everyone, im having trouble flashing my card (EVGA GTX 780 Ti reference) with Nvflash. i have done everything by the book (at least i think so), but nvflash keeps putting out the I/O ERROR: CANNOT OPEN FILE: i know ive typed the rom correctly, and it has a ".rom" at the end of the title, so i cannot find a reason on why it's behaving like this. suggestions?

I'm trying to update my Gigabyte GTX 780oc 3gb bios. As it's refusing to support any Nvidea drivers. I'm using Nvflash through the CMD. This is what i'm doing. Once i'm in the right directory "C:\nvflash" I type "nvflash --protectoff" (I don't know why, a guide told to do so) After that this is what shows After that i type "nvflash -6 GTX780.rom" (GTX780,rom) being the name of the bios file im trying to flash. However this is what i get - I am most certainly sure that i have the correct bios for my card, I read up that you can bypass the Error "board id mismatch" by using "overridesub" or something like that. So what am i doing wrong?

Hello My computer is constantly crashing; in games, when I open a browser. The crash's appear completly random which makes them all the more frustrating. The error message reads "Dispay driver NVIDIA Windows Kernal mode driver, Version 347.09 stopped responding and has successfully recovered" It seems this is a widespread issue and there are literally hundreds of so called fixes on various forums. I have tried amost everything; disabled my integrated graphics, changed the Nvidia nvlddmkm.sys file, downgraded my nvidia driver, chosen not to install the 3D nvidia and PhysX drivers.... the list goes on. I was looking at some more guides and came across a video saying that a possible fix is to increase the GPU voltage using; NibiTools and nvflash. Is this safe? How much should I increase the voltage by to be on the safe side? I have a GTX 760 Twin Frozr with basic case air cooling.
