so i have a ryzen 5 3600x, radeon 570x gpu, gigabyte aorus b450pro, a samsung 870evo 1tb and 2 x 8gb of ddr4 ram. I am just about to upgrade my cpu cooler to a scythe ninja 5 and add 3 more case fans, giving me a total of 6 rgb case fans. Is 550w enough to run this? websites such as partpicker and the coolermaster one say it is, but on other websites I've seen that my graphics card recommends 450+ is the 450 just for gpu usage? or should I be upgrading my psu too?

Hello! I'm new to the PC building scene but I have done a fair bit of research about the parts I chose. Could someone more educated than myself take a glance at the parts I chose and reassure me that they are compatible? I already have the 1070 ti so I am buying everything else. I appreciate any help!

Hey guys I'm new to this and wanted to just give my old HP a little bit more speed as it came with 10gb. I currently have a HP h8-1414, 64bit windows 10, M3970AM-HP (Angelica2) motherboard. I have purchased 32gb (4-8gb sticks) of crucial ddr3l-1600 udimm 1.35v cl11 ram (ct102464bd160b). As far as I can tell this ram is correct as per crucial/other sites My computer can see the ram and it shows in system info but will not utilize it, so it is just wasted. This makes it so I have to run the old ram as the computer gives me the 3 loud beeps saying it has an error (i.e. ram) This bios is like all HP and it is locked from any modifications. Also I have tried anything I can find online and youtube. Such as the msconfig steps, etc. Any help is appreciated. (Comouter is just used for normal activities, no gaming. Just wanted quicker response) Well I feel dumb. I think I found out the issue after using cpu-z. I was using ddr3l which manufacturer says I had to use. The ram installed is ddr3 I guess the extra .15v is why it can be seen and not run? Hope this is the fix

Budget (including currency): 30000 - 35000 euros Country: Romania Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: video editing, microsoft office etc. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm working on a business plan for an online marketing / publicity agency while taking part in a startup program ( Inotech ). I have a general idea for the budget and the equipment needed, but I need some ideas for the setup needed in order to use just the right amount of money. This is the general list of equipment I think I need: a server for storage and upload to a site for client access a workstation for video and photo editing equipment for a studio ( lights ) camera ( photos and videos) and accessory 3 laptops or pc's for office and light workload in editing networking equipment Apart from the IT equipment, I have to take in consideration more factors like: renting the space to setup the company etc. The general idea of the business is that we will offer services for other small businesses in the region. In the budget I need to include the cost of the needed software. I appreciate your advice and thank you for the help.

Now that I've built a solid gaming PC, I'm looking to upgrade my audio. I'm currently using a pair of 2015 model Astro A40 TRs. These are okay for gaming and mild content consumption (i.e., Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, etc.), but even with some mild EQ tweaks I find them to be lacking something. As such, I've been looking to invest in a solid set of quality headphones and a good DAC to go along with them. However, I am no audiophile, and am a novice when it comes to quality audio equipment. I've looked at such things as the Sennheiser HD 6XX and the Audio Technica ATH-M50X, but honestly I don't fully understand the difference between such headphones. Also, considering the current state of affairs with the world right now, I don't want to spend an absolute boatload of money on a set up just yet. And as I've stated, I'm no audiophile so I don't need some insane setup to be pleased. I say all that to ask this: Can anyone who is familiar with quality audio equipment recommend a solid headphone and DAC combo that sounds really good without breaking the bank?

Hi I just recently built a new machine and have been attempting an overclock and have been getting very strange results. I changed the core ration to 50 and the voltage to 1.33 first which failed (it just blue screened it would even start any stress test there didn't seem to be any thermal issues). I then increased voltage with no luck. The only thing that worked was setting voltage to auto which made the voltage go up to right around 1.39 or 1.4 volts. This didn't present any thermal issues when I ran cinebench or the intel extreme tuning stress test and furmark with temps peaking at 93 and averaging 85. However what was most frustrating was my Cinebench scores went down after overclock, from 4820 at stock to 4400 at 5Ghz. I have gone into task manager and made Cinebench high priority but still no luck. Im making a new PC and I want a particular case. It is a Deepcool Tesseract SW-WH White Window Mid Tower Case. It has a side window panel. I have checked around and I found it on 3 websites; 1. DeepCool.com - The case manufacturer. You can't buy it there. 2. Amazon.ca for $44.99CAD which is just what I wanted, BUT if you go to purchase it there is $30 shipping and handling... 3. CanadaComputers.com, I dont want to buy it there because it seems very illegitimate. Website wasn't secure either. I was hoping some kind person could find it for $65 or less.

I'm looking to build my first PC as a sort of game center media hub hybrid, that will match console performance for now if not exceed it, but can be easily upgraded in the future. Hi. So, I was at my parents place, and noticed that their wifi signal was gone in one end of the house and completely fine in the other end. They have their router from the internet company installed in the furthest away corner. I talked to them about setting up an access point, and remembered LTT had a review of the Upiquiti access point. To me it seems like a solid product that can run without much maintenance after installation. I know how to set it all up. That is no issue.. My issue is I don't know if there is any traps or steps I have to be aware of setting up the software for the internet.? Is there a good guide out there, or do you guys have any advice for me? thanks. ps. sorry for bad english, I'm danish

Hello friends, This is my first wtaerloop and I just have a few questions, I will list specs at the end. 1) What is your best tecnique to bend 12mm OD PETG bitspower tubing? (I have a monssoon metal angle kit). 2) Approximately what temperature and how long should I use my heat gun to bend the 10mm OD petg tubing. (I dont want those white frost marks. 3) Which is the better way to get the best temps. Cool Water to gpu to cpu and back to radiator? or CPU to GPU and back to Rsd. 4) I hear keeping the ball drain valve at the lowest point in the loop is the best way to easily drain the loops. Whee is the best location for a drain value?

I'm having a really strange issue, down the center of my main monitor there is a thin blue line. I'm not sure how else to explain it. Every so often in games or viewing media the line appears, it stays on screen for up to a minute then disappears only to appear moments later. In games I can generally do a 360 and the line vanishes. I tried checking the dp cable but as far as I can see it's not damaged, no kinks or anything like that. I don't have another dp cable available so I can't really try using another cable. As far as I know I am using the latest drivers and bios. So really what I am asking is how to troubleshoot this further. I've included a picture of the issue. My specs are: SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB (OS) HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB CPU: Intel i7 6700k 4.0GHz (no oc) MB: Asus z170 Maximus VIII Gene RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB GPU: EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SSC (no oc) PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750W OS: Win 10, 64bit Currently using two monitors: ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR (Main monitor) BenQ XL2411 I would really appreciate some help on this matter, thank you in advance.

So guys here is the basic jist, I have yet another system coming up. Now to be fairly honest I'm probably not building this at all until volta, that's the most likely way I am going with this. However, I have a number of watercooling concerns I want to address. For the first 3 months I am only going to be cooling the cpu in a custom loop and later adding the gpu as I quite like the look of AIB coolers, but I will eventually take the leap with that too. I wanted you guys to take a look at this parts list, I can assume its probably absolutely terrible and some of you are probably laughing incredibly hard. However I have never so much as touched watercooling before and I'm jumping right in at the deep end. (The case I am going to be using is the CM H500P) My main questions are: Are these parts compatible? I want to use red aurora coolant, opinions? Mounting, I have no idea how to mount any of these, or if mounts are included etc. How many fittings would I need? I just slapped on what ever really. I'm using the ROG board that comes with the mono-block, so no need to advise me to get a CPU block unless the rog one is terrible then please do so? I've heard you need to clean and flush all the parts first? how would I do this? The reservoir says the top should only be used as a fill port, does that mean I can not use it as an inlet? what are the problems with that? Finally advise me on if my mounting order/path is possible if/and/or needs to be corrected The mounting order is as follows. First I want the pump just next to the motherboard, probably about 6cm from the sata ports, underneath it the pump, and the radiator at the top of the case. How would I manage this? Oh and of course the bay reservoir would be fitted in the 5.25" bay, but I'm not sure if I'm going ahead with that 100% yet all depends on your guys advice.

Hey everyone, I'm really new at PC building. Been watching the guys on LTT for about a year. I'm looking to either upgrade my current rig for editing (Photography/Video/Audio) or building from scratch. I just don't know what I should do! Money is an issue, can't spend an arm and a leg. Max $700 (CAD) unfortunately. This is what I'm working with right now: -Aspire M3 (AM3420- ES348) -AMD A8-5500 3.2GHz Processor -8GB of DDR3 RAM -2TB SATA 7200RPM -Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 7350 1GB -300W Power Supply -Motherboard: Chipset: AMD A75 I would greatly appreciate the help and or any suggestions anyone may have. Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone, It is my first time posting on LTT Forums, but I have been a fan for a while and my friends have directed me here to find help while they are busy. I am building my first PC ever and I have been slowly self educating myself. Here's the first issue i've run into before i've even started my build: I have purchased a Samsung Evo 850 ssd 500gb, I got it on Black Friday and I have been using it on my old rig as I waited for my new rigs parts to come in. I used Samsung Data Migration and Magician to successfully transfer over my old HDD onto the new SSD and been using that successfully. Now I want to use the SSD in my new rig and I want to wipe the SSD and have a fresh SSD to put into my new rig. My issue is that I can't find a way to wipe or format the SSD. I reconnected the HDD and then plugged my SSD into a Hard drive Data adapter that I used to transfer the old HDD onto the new SSD in the first place. So it is just plugged into a USB port and my PC isn't recognizing it as a Samsung SSD. I am using Windows 10 and just want this SSD wiped, so that I can use it in my new rig. I have purchased a new Windows 10 OS on a USB, so I can still use my old rig for games when friends come over. Please help a newbie! Thanks in advance, look forward to being a apart of this awesome community! - Christian

How do you calculate the necesarey wattage for your PC? On PCPartPicker, the estimated wattage for the build I want to get is 280W, so I think I need a 600W PSU. Am I correct? all help appreciated!

Ok: I am building my first PC and I was wondering, how amazing really are SSD's because I was thinking of not getting one to save $$. If I didn't get an ssd right away I would probably get one later on. I would still use a 7200RPM 1TB HDD. Help appreciated!
