I absolutely loved the Window Post-it Notes that were introduced last November, but I didn't get a chance to buy them before they sold out during the Black Friday sale. Now they don't even have a product page. Are there plans for a future restock, or were they just a one-and-done kind of thing?

Hello everyone, I'll be getting a 2-in-1 soon (probably a Zenbook Flip) and I'll be using it for school and home use. I learn by handwriting and drawing diagrams, but keeping THICC binders of notes and work are weighing me down. Not to mention needing to screw with a printer to scan to my computer. The easy option is OneNote, but I don't like it for a few reasons: I don't want a Microsoft account I want to be offline without issues I don't want to pay a subscription (I don't mind one time fees) I DEFINITELY don't want to use OneDrive or any other cloud service Where does that leave me? I won't be purchasing hardware until I know which software to use. Thanks for your time

Hey everyone, I'll start off with a little background: I am a junior in college, a computer science major. With classes back in person I am taking a lot more notes but I am quickly filling notebooks with these higher level classes. I see a lot of people using ipads and other tablets to take notes. I wanted to move towards something like this. In high school I was provided a 2 in 1 from HP. Keep in mind this was a budget one from 2015 and the notetaking experience was awful. That has left a bad taste in my mouth but I want to give them another look. So basically does anyone have any recommendations for a good note taking tablet with stylus? All it needs to do is take notes and it would be nice if it could program as well. Coding isn't really a heavy task honestly. I don't need power out of it I have a razer blade I use for everything else. I need it to be a great bang for the buck sort, budget isn't a huge issue but I am a college student. Just one that is pretty good at taking notes and is good value for the money. I have been looking into review for the surface go 2 and it seems decent. I saw a Samsung tablet as well I was going to look at it. The iPad I know is amazing at it but that price tag is very high and I am totally non apple. Any advice would help a ton. Usually I would do my own research but midterms approach. Thank you.

I am going to be a freshman in college next year and plan on double majoring in electrical engineering and computer science. With this said, which of the devices above do you guys think would be the best for taking notes, using as a light media consumption device and an overall great purchase for a college student with value in mind. I do not plan on getting any specs below an i5 processor and 8 GBs of RAM. I already have a modern laptop btw. Suggestions needed plz.

Hey guys, I know win10 has an official stickey notes app that can draw if you have a touch screen, but since I don't have one, are there any apps that would allow me to draw very simple sketches and pin them to the desktop? Thanks in advance!

I'm looking for a cheap tablet (around $300-$400) that I can take notes on for school. I want it to be a composition notebook replacement and I need to be able to write on it with some kind of stylus/tablet pen. I'm leaning towards the Samsung Tab A 10.1 (2019), but I'm not sure if it supports the kind of pen that I need. I need to be able to rest the side of my hand/palm while writing. This is a feature that I think only exists in the Microsoft surface book lineup and the newest iPad. I'm hoping I can get that feature in something a little cheaper.

Hello guys, So I've recently moved back to android after i got a Huawei Nova 5T, I used an iphone 6s for the past year (not a bad phone). During my time using the iphone i got used to the Notes app and the table creation feature in it, pretty handy not gonna lie. when i switched back to android i started looking for notes apps that are just as simple yet include the table creation feature. couldn't find much. most of the apps i found have either a bad UI or are Ad infested or they simply don't work. in the mean time i am using Microsoft word as a temporary solution. So my question is does anyone know of any app that is similar to the iOS notes app?. I wouldn't mind paying if the app is good and the price is reasonable.

Hey LTT Forum, (first time here posting) while searching for alternatives to classic wacom tablets and pen tablets in general, I found this interesting device and would like to know your thoughts about this E-Ink Tablet. The interesting thing is that it combines E-Ink Display with a pen which is designed for notes and drawings. The resolution is advertised as high enough for those purposes. For a device with those functionalities it's pretty pricey. https://remarkable.com/store/reMarkable-and-marker I would appreciate to get some feedback. Thanks and have a nice day.

Hi, Anyone here have recommendations for a tablet? Specifically for writing notes, like thats the only purpose Im gonna use it for... Up until now, I'm still using good'ol yellow pad paper for taking notes but my main problem about it is that when I need to review something, Most of the time, I need to flip a billion pages before I even find what I was looking for. I tried to search for any digital notepads on google, some looks good like the reMarkable and the Sony DPT-RP, but they cost like $900, lul. Most people though recommends iPad with Apple Pencil. It does cost $500 in total from where Im from, but is it really worth it? Just for reminder again, Im only going to use it for note taking, its kinda part of my job. I dont really need anything like video playback and coconuts or whatevs. I do need it to have at least an SD card or internal memory. I also found some cheap ones on amazon like these guys: https://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?__mk_ja_JP=カタカナ&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=電子メモ But I can't tell if theyre good. Also one more thing that I'm looking for is something with good precision, because I write very small. I want to cram as much info in one page so I don't have to flip many pages when looking at them. Another problem with the ones on amazon is that most of them dont have SD card slot, so you have to use a companion mobile app to save your notes on your phone or tablet.

I am looking for a device that has the following requirements 1. Small (About the size of a TI-84 plus) 2. Can not connect to the internet (This would just distract me) 3. Has a dedicated keyboard 4. Is cheap I have done some looking around the internet and I can find probably over 30 electronic note pads that you write on. The only device I can find that does all of these is the Ti-Inspire CX Graphing calculator. The only problem with those is a new one can be upwards of US$130 Ebay Example. I have looked and found dedicated word processers (alpha smart). The problem with those is they are HUGE and would definitely get more attention that I want in my high school Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas of products let me know!

I am going to college this fall semester, and I am looking for a laptop that has some particular specifications and is reliable. I am majoring in engineering. What it needs to be able to do program-wise: - Run Microsoft office products - Run some programming/logic programs (MatLab, Arduino, etc.) - Take notes - Possibly do some basic Adobe product stuff like Photoshop (But I have a good desktop computer as well, so it isn't a complete necessity) Hardware preferences: - Long battery life (8hrs+?) - Dedicated GPU (3-4gb vram?) - 8gb - 16gb ram - Intel CPU (most likely, considering AMD usually takes more power and I want longer battery life) - OS on an SSD - 1 Tb total of storage or more (SSD + HDD) BUDGET: under $1300

While looking around for a laptop for college I stumbled across the Spectre x360 and it seems to meets my needs perfectly. But I need to know how it is to write on it, Ive tested out writiing on a Surface Pro 4(my current choice) but I cant test it on a x360. Has anyone ever tried writing notes and stuff on it? If so how was it and what pen did you use? For the a little more then a Sp4 i5 256gb SSD and 16gb of ram I can get a i7 16gb ram and a 512gb SSD of a spectre.

Im looking at two different things here I have the option of either getting a Surface Book i5 with 8gb of ram and a 256gb SSD or a Thinkpad Yoga X1 with a i7 16gb of ram and a 512gb SSD. Which one would be better for college? I woulld be using this as a portable computer as I have a good desktop at home to do any real heavy lifting with and I want this to last for a bit. So spec wise the yoga wins by a mile, but I heard that actually writing on it is bad and that the Surface Book would be better for college? But how true is that? I could get the Surface Book for 1529 for that spec and the yoga for 1670, or 1363 if I went down to 8gb of ram(which Im hesitated to do and is a large factor in liking the yoga more). So, do you think that the Surface Book or Yoga would be better?

Hey guys, since the semester will start really soon (here in Germany) I've been thinking about getting a tablet that I'd use pretty much only for taking notes during lectures. Requirements are pretty low: I'd like it to be Full HD, and 8 inch (though ten would be alright). Kitkat is fine, though Lollipop would be a massive plus. It should either have a good protective thing to have it upright or have a mechanism integrated. A good integrated or compatible keyboard would be great Budget would be around 200, lower would be better. Basically, I want the Yoga 2 8", but I want the Windows version's keyboard, or a possibility to integrate it well. Windows basically need not apply because at that price range, Android handles the low resources so much better (in my experience) that Windows loses. A Windows machine that could be changed to any Linux distro might actually be even better, would be kind of a dream come true for tinkering. Cheers!

I will be an engineering student this fall. I am currently looking for a laptop to use. I need something that is powerful enough for engineering applications, but also something that I can use to take hand-written notes in class. A Surface Pro seems perfect for me, but, as many of you may know, the new Surface Pro 4 may not be released until October, after classes already start. I would hate to buy a Surface Pro 3 in August, only for the new one come out in just a couple of months. One other option I had was buy the new cheaper Surface 3 for taking notes in class, and a more powerful laptop for engineering stuff, but this, to mean, defeats the purpose of a Surface. So, should I buy a Surface Pro 3 now and be stuck with older technology, wait for the Surface Pro 4 and be stuck without a laptop for a few months, or buy a Surface 3 and a laptop and be stuck with the extra bulk in my bag? Or any other thoughts? Thanks!

So I am considering buying a tablet or laptop with writing capabilities with a pen. (Like the surface) What are your opinions on the surface pro 3 and the Surface 3. Prices: (Education Pricing already applied) (Tax not included in price) (Free Shipiping) (Both Surface are configured for 128GB + 4GB ram) Surface Pro 3 + Type Cover (Pen is included in the Surface Pro 3) + Laptop Sleeve(Free atm $40 value) = $1223.09 Surface 3 + Type Cover + Pen = $881.08 Current: ($500 Value as of 2 years ago) 15" 1366 x 768 HP Laptop Battery life: Avg 3Hr (I underclocked the computer to achieve around 8hr battery life. Lags when typing when underclocked...) APU: A6-5350 APU AMD 750GB HDD Benchmark League of Legends: (Computer has been left at factory clocks for this) (League Settings: All low) Average 40fps Lags when buying items. No stuttering during gameplay Are their any other laptops tablet notepad writing whatever this is classified that I should consider? Thank You Guess I should tell you a bit of what its gonna be for School for Computer Engineering. Right now just finished 1st year and doing summer courses. Courses right now are Elec 260, CEng 242, Math 200 & 201

Hello, I have a question that I would really like help with. I have a lot of ebooks (some 200+mb), and like adding notes, highlights, etc (my favorite is foxitreader). Problem is I don't like saving over the original pdf file. Question is Is there a program that can open PDFs and save edits in a separate file, so the original does not get touched. Example: Book.pdf(100mb) book.pdfnotes(1mb) Price is not an issue! Thanks! If I'm not clear, please say so and I'll try to give a better explanation.

Does anybody know what it's like to take notes on a Wacom tablet? I'm thinking mostly about chemistry. How has your experience been? Thank you kindly good sirs.

Hi, ..I wonder if there is a "very secure" way to lock/protect/encrypt with a password your folder which contains photos, videos, notes, contacts, etc.

Hi I am looking for an ipad app that will allow me to add text notes to PDFs but which allows them to be hidden so that they only appear on the document when you tap them so that they don't obscure the main text. I already have notability but the notes/stickies on that obscure the main body of text. Thanks
