I recently got a Nokia Lumia 2520 from a second-hand market (i know it's pretty old but it's what I needed, eheh) but now I got a big issue: The battery seems to not charge. I tried with the tab turned on and off too but nothing seems to work, it works only with the power brick inserted and Windows telss me constantly "plugged in but not charging" while stuck at 0%. The battery seems to OK (not faulty) since it doesn't say "battery missing" or "non detected" but still there's no way to charge it. I tried the trick of resetting battery drivers in Windows but it didn't work, I dunno if I did something wrong. Someone has a solution, please?

Hey everyone, I have a Nokia Asha 503 (kinda smartphone). It was working great from last 7 years. The battery still lasts three days easily . The problem is now it is not deleting any thing, deleting but still showing everything corrupted. I did a hard reset, no help. Went to Nokia care, they don't support these phones anymore. Microsoft removed the link to its firmware, and their flashing software is not connecting to the server. Is there a way to flash firmware to it(I also tried flashing a android phone's flashlight on it, no help!) Please help

Hi there! After some research on cheap android phones, I’ve shortlisted Samsung Galaxy A21s and Nokia 5.3. But both of them look really similar on paper and most of the reviews are generally positive towards both of them. So, I'm torn on my decision, would love to hear what you guys have to say. Also, do any of you guys have personal experience with either of the phones? If so, how is the experience? Greatly appreciate you guys taking time to help me. Thank you!

I have an old Nokia Asha 309 which I did not use for around 2 years (its 11 years old now...the battery was pretty good the last time I used it...gave around 10 hours of bluetooth music streaming)...Now I want to revive the phone but the battery's dead...checked with a voltmetre...It simply shows 0V....I've had this phone for years and holds sentimental value for me....I tried finding new batteries for the phone...But I simply cannot find one...So incase if this video is safe and legitimate...I would use it to revive my old nokia...Can you guys please confirm if this video is safe and legitimate? The comment section seems to be positive...and the revival of dislike button has made it more difficult right now....

Am I the only one who thinks that the Nokia 6 design is just a ripoff? the front glass from the htc 10, the body from the 2015 samsung galaxy A series, and the camera glass from the moto g4 (plus)

Decided to put this in the General Discussion since I'm not really sure how much of this could be classified as 'News', especially with as old as the technology is... Apparently HMD Global is planning on releasing a new version of the Nokia 3310 'dumb' phone. I remember having one of these back before getting my first smart phone. Was an absolute joy to have a phone that you could take anywhere and would never die. I still know some people that would love to have these and the only reason they ever moved off of them was that the mobile network they are on didn't support the phone. https://www.engadget.com/2017/02/14/the-nokia-3310-will-reportedly-return-this-month/

Remember this? Well, it's back. Source: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/nokia-3310-mwc-2017-re-launch-buy-amazon-price-leaks-details-revealed-a7578941.html The Nokia 3310, infamous for never breaking or running out of battery, is going on sale again! I can see a lot of people (possibly myself) buying one to have as an indestructible backup phone, and even more people just for nostalgia and Snake. What are your thoughts? It's very early in the morning, so sorry if this is a repost. EDIT: IT LOOKS LIKE THIS:

http://www.todayonline.com/singapore/iconic-nokia-3310-makes-comeback-singapore So apparently The nokia 3310 has made a come back with 3g network support. Me thinks this will be a hit for about 3 weeks until the novelty wears off. What about the rest of the world? I want one only because I am very physical and keep breaking traditional smart phones.

Sources: Anandtech, CNET and HMD Global Take that Microsoft for your refusal to shut down your smartphone hardware division. My initial reaction to this was: Not Windows Phone, not Windows Phone... Sorting hat: better be Android!!! Nokia really shot themselves in the foot when they decided to use Windows Phone instead of Android back in 2011 when they launched their Nokia Lumia 800 running Windows Phone 7.5 (aka Mango update). But during those times, Windows Phone is slowly getting attention to devs but later Microsoft decided to screw the people who bought a Lumia 800 not to get the Windows Phone 8 update. But with WP8 and the Nokia Lumia 920, it changed how smartphone cameras should be done in my opinion by adding optical image stabilization and a back side illuminated CMOS sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Then in 2013, Nokia launched the behemoth Nokia Lumia 1020 with 41 megapixels. Reviews for the camera are quite positive and personally I once lusted for this phone but it was crippled by slow SoC and an abysmal developer support in the Windows Store as well as carrier exclusivity to AT&T. The dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro is struggling with post processing the pictures. There are reports of auto white balance and it takes one second to wait just to shoot another picture so yay for more shutter lag and crappy shutter speed even with well-lit environments. And this warthog of a smartphone as one tech reviewer calls it, it didn't made so much dent to the WP market share. Meanwhile, some people in the Windows Phone subreddit are still hopeful that Nokia will still continue to make Windows Phones. I don't think so son. *these people are hilarious sometimes, just look at the other threads at /r/windowsphone. c/o @Daring, thanks for introducing me to this. I remember that my classmate's Nokia N93 taking good pictures back when I was high school whereas I have to live with my Nokia 6680. I don't think this will make Nokia dethrone the top Android OEM but I would love them to have a comeback. I guess one thing they can do is match good hardware with good software experience like timely software updates and no carrier crapware and no undercooked features that works only half the time and no Windows 10 Mobile for god's sake. Microsoft bought Nokia's hardware division and later tossed it to trash. From what I can remember, Skype is one of the very few successful Microsoft acquisitions when they bought it from Tony Bates.

If you want further proof that Microsoft is done with their mobile division, how about giving away 500 patents relating to mobile? Source: Gadgets 360, Nokiamob HIGHLIGHTS HMD Global has received 500 Nokia design patents The patents were received from Microsoft, earlier owner of the rights HMD Global may integrate Lumia Camera UI on future Nokia phones So yeah, Microsoft is just keeping those ten existing Windows 10 Mobile users on an extended support for security patches and they gave up the patents especially the ones for the camera to HMD, and after that, Microsoft is done with Windows 10 Mobile. While I don't think Nokia will make a huge comeback like take over existing Samsung users, as long as they play their cards right this time, I can see a steady growth. The Nokia Lumia line was know for their smartphone cameras (too bad they're all Windows Phones): Nokia Lumia 920 - first smartphone to introduce optical image stabilization for improved low light shots and smoother video recording (although with jello effect) Nokia Lumia Icon/930 - phone with HRD audio recording for video Nokia Lumia 1020 - a smartphone with a behemoth 41 megapixel sensor for improved digital zoom and pixel oversampling for 5 megapixel photos Unfortunately, both Nokia and Microsoft think that a good smartphone camera is all they need to have more customers. Little do they know, both Apple and Android OEMs have stepped up their games when it came to smartphone cameras and many of these features that Nokia is so proud of is already found in modern flagship phones. This is evident with the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge and the LG G4 which are very well received for their cameras. But then again, I have to keep my expectations low when it comes to smartphone cameras with one simple truth: a smartphone camera won't be as good as a DSLR with full frame sensor. So I'll keep an eye on whatever Nokia does with their Android phones and they might steal some limelight from the struggling Essential Phone. With that said, I think it's a hit in the nail message to all Windows Phone fans that Microsoft is NOT making a mythical "Surface Phone".

Last friday I got a new phone, the long waited Nokia 3 (in black). I'm probably on the top 200 of Mexico's first owners of the phone. All the phones I had were nokia (even I had two Windows Phone) I was just wondering if you guys (LMG staff and forum boyz) know if there is a review in the ways, maybe by the hand of Nokia and HMD Global or by LMG.

Hey everyone, I scored a Service Access Switch durring a recent internship and I needed some help connecting to it via Console. I had the network Admin make a CF card that works for it. I have a console cable on com4 however whenever I try to connect to it via Putty it just sits at a solid green place holder blinker and sometimes shows weird ascii symbols. Ive worked with Cisco products and there CLI however I cant get any console connection.

I'm from the Netherlands and I need a phone, I already have a contract. My 2 year old lg g3 has died, wifi doesnt work, battery life of max 4-6 hours (even when screen off) and now im surviving on a galaxy s3 mini. I was about to buy the Oneplus 5 but €500 is really at the top of my budget, and I'm got to upgrade my pc too so I'd rather not spend too much money in a short time. My priorities are: Camera quality (including selfie and low light performance) Battery time A 1080p display is good enough, 1440p isn't necissary. Android 6 to 7, I don't want to buy a new phone every 2 years Headphone jack. No doubt. I've been looking at the Axon 7 Honor 8 (but I don't think I'll like the Emotion UI) P10 lite Nokia 6 (I can try in the stores next week so I'll check it out there, I'm a bit frightened of the SD 430 thats inside of it.) Moto G5 Plus and z play seem really good, but I absolutely hate the bulky look and feel of the devices. Sony xperia XA1 ultra has also gotten my attention My budget is ( as I said) up to €500

Well it is a sad day my beloved 80usd my my|phone my32 I bought in Asia died, it did everything I wanted it to perfectly until the end. How did it die? Well it did go to over 70c on a daily basis due to its Mediatek 8-core really was a warm beast and I knew the heat would kill it one day tough the phone works as a phone still but its wifi and cellular data does not... (tried factory reset twice the wifi and cellular always failed after x amount of time after...) Now I bought a Nokia 3 for 150usd tough I could have gotten it for 80usd if my number was not hidden oh double darns...

So, its seems like a good phone, and its one of the cheaper phones, why havent I heard more about it in media and on forums and stuff? Is it just that Nokia is already dead in peoples minds and therefore dont really care/dont know about it? Only main thing is wrong with it in my opinion is that I prefer finger print sensor at the back.

Source: The Verge A study done by Counterpoint Research has conveyed that out of the top 10 manufacturers, Nokia is the fastest, topping Samsung for the number 1 spot, achieving 96% of devices running Android 9 Pie. I don't think it's a very high bar to clear since a good majority of the manufacturers tend to update their arsenal of lineups pretty darn late. I remember owning a Samsung Galaxy S8 - which I have now handed down to my mother - and it took easily 8 months to get to Android 9 from when Android 9 was released to the public. If Samsung is rated at the number 2 spot for most supported devices with Android Pie running, I wonder how long the others take... It's such a shame that these phone manufacturers don't support their older devices for the newer software, which prevents people who want to experience the new and improved, shiny Android version just because their choseh handset won't support it, or will, and get the update 9 months into the future. Software updates complaints aside, praise to Nokia though, I haven't heard that name in a while in the smartphone game, so it's nice that they're still top of the class in software support, again not that it was a high bar to clear in the first place with Samsung taking eons to update their recent and supported phone models...

honor Play 8A vs Tecno Camon 11 Pro vs Nokai 5.1 Plus! https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone1=9509&idPhone2=9441&idPhone3=9246#diff- All of them are good but I feel like the Camon 11 Pro has the edge due to the battery... Need advice here! ^-^

So, I'm a high school student about to pass out (that means about to graduate in my country ? ?). I'm going to buy my first smartphone and have short listed the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Nokia 7.1 Plus (to be launched). Here are my main reasons for considering the phones Asus: Mammoth 5000 mAh battery Dual sim + micro SD support 6GB RAM Gorilla Glass 6 (All these for a little over 200 usd in my country) Nokia: Good build quality USB-C at this price point Android One Snapdragon 710 soc Fast charging Better screen (I THINK) Faster and better fingerprint sensor So, my main question is: Is Nokia 7.1 plus worth the extra money? Before closing I would like to point out that my mother has used the Lumia 625 in the past and is currently using Nokia 6 and both are good phones with excellent build quality and an overall good experience.

Enjoyed how fast Nokia is improving their phones lately. And when considering their pedigree, this might turn out to be exciting. link to article: https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/news/nokia/144959-nokia-9-specs-release-date-and-news

Hi everyone! I'm having a problem with my phone's (nokia 6 2018) front camera. It has a hard yellow tint almost everywhere (see the photos: first is rear, second is front) and I can't get to find what the cause really is. Did anyone already face this issue? I've tried different camera apps, it doesn't change anything, and since it's not all yellow I don't think it's a connection issue

Hello there. So, I've been meaning to buy a new phone for quite a while, and today I went by a local store and found the Nokia 5.1, and it actually looks pretty good, MicroSD, no ugly glass back and even headphone jack! (Unfortunately, the screen has rounded corners, but ofc, you may not get everything) All in all, I think it would suit me quite well. It's even on sale. It is only that the screen almost feels a bit narrow in some way if you compare with my old handset, and that it has not yet received a confirmed update from android 8.0. I've also read about the software being more buggy and not as speedy compared to other phones in this price class. I have also checked out the Moto G6 Play, and although I like larger screens and the powerful battery, and the ability to control display colour, it doesn't really feel as good in the hand as the Nokia, almost a bit big. (Well I mean, comparing feel in the hand is pretty hard with two demo units laced down with anti-theft wires, but still.) And since I really want to get the best upgrade possible for around the 230 dollar price range (coming from a beat up Xperia T3), I turn to you: Does anyone have any experience with either the Nokia or the Moto, and which one would you go for? Or is there another phone that's better than these two for the price? Have a nice day!
