Ive tried windows and linux anydesk, steam remote play, and parsec. All fail to send sound to the guest. My goal is to be able to use my desktop as a host and my weak laptop as a client for gaming so i can play not just at home. It seams to work picture wise but the sound is completely broken. I want to share with a friend so... any tips? Gpu: p104-100/Intel cofee lake 630 graphics. Soundcard: built in of igpu. Note: streams work fine. The sound "starts to send" when connected to via parsec but when the picture follows the sound goes back to host instead of transfering.

What am i missing, this should actually be simple, but it doesn't seem to work at all? i tried to make sure the first video is really at the end before appending the next, i tried "avi" and mp4 format (always copy as i don't want any reencoding and funny enough that worked fine when i added an audio file to another video) And also funny enough all 3 videos (i haven't tried with only 2 videos yet) have the same resolution and framerate and audio quality (although i don't see why that would be important anyway) Is there anything i can do or is that just how it is (non functional)? I don't really get why no one can do something like Windows movie maker with some improved features like audio editing and 4k support... (which is what I'll have to end up using if this doesn't work, but id really prefer avidemux as it, to my understanding, doesn't need to reencode / compress which is of course preferable, at least for me) note: the first video always has sound after saving, its everything i appended that doesn't have sound.

I had some issues with sound dropping when playing games, so I decide to update my sound drivers, ever since I updated my drivers I got no sound at all. The only fix seems to be removing the realtek drivers. But then I still have the sound dropping in games. This is my last hope. I got an nmve m.2 drive after installing windows on that everything went bad. Maybe that is the cause? While pressing test for the speaker output (which my headphones are connected to) I got sound through my vr headset even though I was testing the speaker output. Sound was also playing through my vr headset while the output was set to speaker not oculus rift headphones. Funny thing, while typing this post I got sound for 5 seconds after that it dropped again. Thing I've already tried: reinstalling drivers checked if sound is playing in windows (it is) other outputs do seem to work fine (fe vr headset) Updated to latest BIOS Contacted asus support Suggested CMOS reset didn't help Set the device as default device reset the device to default checked windows audio in services.mcs tested other aux cable tested other headphones My specs are: Windows 10 64 bit ASUS TUF GAMING B450M-PLUS Ryzen 5 3600x 16GB ram Radeon RX 3600 XT

So basically I just upgraded my GPU from a RX570 to a RTX2060, audio was working fine, but now nothing. I know im on the correct back port (green one), also tested front one with headphones, nothing, audio on monitor through DP nothing, I know how to change the device I'm using to test, It is the default device (Speakers), Reinstalled driver multiple times nothing, from both device manager and MOBO manufacturer (Gigabyte), and also to inspect the worst case scenario checked the MOBO conections (from Chipset to CPU to DAC to ports and all intact. Also all devices are recognised, and software side shows sound beeing played but no sound from speakers/headphones Just in case my specs are: Gigabyte B450 Gaming X AMD R5 3600 Corsair Vengance LPX 8GB @2400 x2 EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra Gaming PNY 120GB SSD (Boot drive) Seagate Barracuda 2TB (Main storage) Cooler Master Elite 400W Logitech Z150 (Speakers) Windows 10 Home 64bit HELP!!!!!!! Okay I just did a clean Install of all things and it still doesn't work H E L P!!!!

I'm trying to play Sniper Elite 3 with my friend, but the audio doesn't work for him. He's tried restarting the game, his computer, reinstalling the game, he's got directX 12 installed as well as .netframework 4.0 (the two things quite a few videos call for as a fix). At one point while messing about with all things mentioned above, audio began working and was fine for the entire play session, but afterwards returned to same broken state. There is absolutely no audio coming from the game. He's using a steelseries arctic 7 wireless. All help is appreciated, as this has been frustrating us for quite a while now!

Hello, my girlfriend recently got her hands on some Sony WH-XB910N headphones and sometimes she issues them on her (2017?) MacBook Air. However things have not been very easy as we’ve encountered an issue we cannot find anywhere else. Whenever she uses the headphones she has to open the settings, go to audio, and then to input to hear sound from the MacBook. What I assume is supposed to happen is she’s supposed to hear her microphone playback through the speakers to test the mic, however instead of that happening, she is actually able to hear the audio output, but it’s much lower quality than it should be. This only happens on hee MacBook, tested on other MacBooks and laptops and this problem doesn’t happen at all. I cannot find a solution to this problem, and my last idea left is to hard reset the MacBook. but she’s not very tech savvy so doing that will take a day or two. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Hi all, I recently treated myself to a copy of RDR2 and issues with the rockstar launcher aside. Once I finally downloaded the game I am unable to get into the story mode, online or benchmark. It will sign me into social club before taking me into the start menu but will not launch any further. I have not been able to successfully launch this game since purchase. Another issue is no sound despite the correct audio output device being selected by the game. List of "fixes" I have attempted. Integrity check Reinstalled rockstar launcher Disabled VSync Enabled RDR2 and Rockstar launcher in firewall Deleted RDR2 settings file Updated graphics driver Restarted PC Waited 30 minutes for game to load Lost hopes and dreams Needless to say this has been an annoying experience. Only thing I've noticed is it takes a while for the revolver loading icon to appear and even when it does the game will not load further. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I play with a Razer Kraken 7.1 Headset and this problem has been persistent since i built my PC, </> 2 years ago. I have no sound issues in any part of windows and almost all of my steam games except for a certain few: Rocket League, Dont Starve Together, and Rocket League. I also do not have sound in Saints Row IV anymore, which I used to have sound in when I used speakers for some reason. All audio sources have been removed from the pc/disabled that aren't being used. I have tried to check if they were muted in the Razer Synapse volume mixer but that is empty. For some reason, rocket league's only sound I can hear is incoming voice chat. Please help because I have had this problem for years, no fix on the internet has worked out for me yet and not having sound really takes away from the gaming experience. I have to play rocket league with music in the background now, when I could be listening to the in game soundtrack.

Hey all, My brother gave me his old laptop (Alienware 15) yesterday. Everything works perfectly except for the built in speakers. I've managed to get my audio jacks working by updating to latest audio drivers. But unfortunately my built in speakers does not work. When I asked about it from my brother, He said that, It stopped working after upgrading windows from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. So far I have tried, Reinstalling windows, Reinstalling all the audio drivers (at least 50 times :3),| Updating BIOS Tried updating drivers a using 3rd party softwares like IObit Driver booster, I even tried running a hardware scan through the Alienware support assist application. Basically I tried everything. Can someone please help me out. I really want this to work. TIA, And sorry about my broken English.

So i'm not getting any sound out of my right side as it says. At first if i toyed with the cable (the one between both the earcups), it would be fixed, but now it's literally not happening anymore. So I took everything apart. Now, there's two wires to complete the circuit soldered to the pcb of the right earcup. If i touch that part in the pcb, i can feel shock which means the circuit is complete. Does this mean my speaker is gone? or can it just be the wire in between because it'd work if i toyed with it, as mentioned before. Anyway, any help to fix it would be greatly appreciated. Can't send it to rma because bought from faaaaar away. btw left earcup is working perfectly fine.

Hey! I know this site is always SO helpful, so I figured I would come here before going to the dreaded MS support website. I'm my mother's tech support, and this one has me stumped. She's on Discord a lot, and manages the Penguin herding chat on Runescape world 60 and stuff, so she's no idiot, either. Here's the important parts: -Windows sees her mic(s) -Windows doesn't show any audio coming IN from those mic(s) -Turning on "listen to this device" lets us hear it (them) just fine, like nothing's wrong -No matter what we do, neither Discord nor Windows Voice Recorder will register there's audio coming in -Tried restarts, driver updates, device uninstalls and reinstalls, different ports, different TYPES of mic (several 3.5mm through both mic ports, 2 USB mics through different ports, ALL the same results) -Double checked all levels, and obviously sound is being picked up, but the ONLY thing that detects the mic is the "listen" function in the sound properties -This seems to have triggered around the time of a Windows update and a Discord update, but Discord isn't the only thing affected. -Using Turtle Beach x12, HyperX Cloud, Guitar Hero mic, Logitech USB "call center" headset (all tried multiple times in multiple ports) I'm happy to answer anything and everything I omitted. Thank you SO much in advance.

Hello everyone! Recently bought some new bookshelf speakers for my PC. ( https://www.bestbuy.com/site/insignia-powered-bookshelf-speakers-pair-black/5283401.p?skuId=5283401 ). I think the IO shield from my motherboard is preventing the RCA cables from entering completely, because all I get is buzzing and the cables don't seem to be all the way in. When I connect my speakers via a regular audio cable (single black cable) they work just fine, so I don't think the jack is bad on my motherboard. I'm using a B450 tomahawk max and I'm pretty sure I installed the IO shield correctly because it snapped in on all the corners and edges. I've also been able to get the Bluetooth to work so I think the speakers are fine. Has anyone ever had an issue with the IO shield blocking the RCA cables? From what I can tell just from browsing, all RCA cables' metal inputs seem to be the same length. Do you guys think there's something defective with the hardware that I missed? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking your time to read this and I hope you have a great day!

So I installed Nvidia Game Ready Drivers 441.66, and installed another sound driver from my PC manufacturer. Game Ready Drivers included Nvidia HD Audio drivers too. After these installs I no longer get audio from my front audio ports, and there are only one audio device listed on settings. Now, the only audio output device listed is my monitor (that has Nvidia HD Audio). When I plug in my headphone to the front audio port another audio device comes up as "Speaker (Realtek Audio)", but no sound comes out of it. Also, when I go into sound settings I get 3 devices (see picture below). C24F390 is my monitor (it says "ready), NVIDIA Output isn't connected, and Speaker (Realtek) is the default device. (This is with my headphones plugged in, when I unplug my earphones then the monitor becomes the default device). I've already tried restarting my computer, but it didn't work. Can someone help me find what's wrong with my computer? Thanks

I'm having issues with my streaming pc. I ran windows 7 earlier which worked fine with video and audio capture from my gaming pc, but when I switched to a newer pc and windows 10 pro N, I just can't get audio captured over hdmi. Countless tutorials on youtube show the stereo mixer procedure, but the capture card isn't listed as an audio device. Video works fine though. I've tested the Avermedia Live Gamer HD, Extremecap U3 and Live Gamer Extreme. Using the Intel QSV encoder for video. Streaming pc is an: i7 4770k 16Gb ram Nvidia Quadro 600 Avermedia Live Gamer Extreme USB3 Avermedia Extremecap U3 USB3 Avermedia Live Gamer HD PCI-E
