  1. New pc and first time building my own. I have no clue where the issue lies. I have tried troubleshooting on my own but can't seem to solve it. The ez diag led will go CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> VGA -> BOOT And will stick on boot indefinitely with zero video output. Specs include: - i7-14700KF - 1080Ti Founders Edition - MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Wifi DDr5 - 16gb Corsair Vengencd DDR5 5200 - WD Black SN850X 1TB - EVGA Supernova 850 G6 80 Plus Gold Things I've tried: - Each stick of ram in each ram slot - no ram - no gpu - unable to flash bios with newer version, led indicator for it remains turned on after flashing for 5-10 seconds - Checked cables to ensure plugged in all the way, willing to recheck if you guys think necessary I haven't checked the gpu in a known good computer, will do so when I get the chance but had to leave the house before I could get the chance to do so. Have attached photos of the ez diag mobo led and one of the rear ports to show the red bios flash light that remains on after every attempt. Any help is greatly appreciated and I do want to apologize ahead of time if I've overlooked any rules or guidelines before posting.
  2. I have a old Asus X99-Pro board that has worked great for years. On the morning of Jun 23rd I discovered the machine restarted overnight and was stuck with post code 00. I tried restarting the machine multiple times and still had post code 00. None of the fans were spinning. I had a i7-5820K installed in the board when this happened. I updated my BIOS from 0401 to 3801 on June 16th to do a RAM upgrade. The machine had no issues after the update until Jun 23rd when this incident happened. Asus support said I had a dead CPU but I am not very confident in ASUS support due to my experience with a issue with a different board on my newer machine. I just installed a used Xeon E5-2683 v4 into the board that I got from a surplus seller on eBay. The new CPU is on the QVL list for my board. My board still has post code 00. I have tested this board with nothing installed in it and got post code 00. I also tried with only each CPU installed and still got post code 00. I also tried with a CPU and a single stick of RAM and still post code 00. In all of my testing I was not able to get the fans to spin. I do have the power and reset LEDs on my motherboard when my PSU is on. I have tried using USB Bios Flashback to install BIOS 0401 and 3801 on my board with no improvement. The bios flashback function appears to work but I still get post code 00. I am wondering if there are any other tests I can try? I do not want to spend $200 on a new X99 board but I am willing to spend money on tools (Like a PSU tester). My PSU is a Corsair RM750 so the PSU fans do not spin when I use a jumper on the PSU. I was able to power a CD drive with my jumped PSU. Any advise is appreciated.
  3. I recently build a new pc and i put it all together and it didnt boot I realized that i messed up when i put the cpu in and took it out and had 9 bent pins i fixed the pins and put it back in and it booted but not fully but had a yellow ram light flashing but no post or display so i tried reseating the ram stick and just using one and nothing so i wrnt and bought a new cpu thinking the old one was dead and it still didnt do anything so i tried a ram stick that i knew worked and it booted fully everything was on but it didnt post or have a display and the yellow light was solid now and it had a red cpu light flashing every 3 seconds my last option it to get a new motherboard but if anyone had any suggestions please let me know the specs of the build are a ryzen 7 5800x and a nvidia geforce rtx 4060 with 2x16 3200 ram and 2tb 3600mb/s crucial nvme
  4. Hey guys, recently ive upgraded my cpu to a ryzen 7 7800x3d. Naturally i bought new ram (corsair vengeance ddr5 2x16) and motherboard (ASRock A620M Pro RS) as i was upgrading from an i7 with ddr3 memory. When I put everything together i get no post whatsoever. The only thing that happens is rgb on the back of the motherboard turns on (it stays on constantly as long as the 24 pin is connected). Anything else such as fans, cpu cooler, power supply, gpu fans stays off. There are also no sounds or error leds turning on, as this motherboard has a couple leds. Things I've tried so far: -Graphics card (4060ti 16gb) and power supply (corsair cx750) work fine when plugged into the old parts) -Re seated cpu -Tried powering it without the graphics card plugged in -Returned and ordered brand new ram sticks, plugged one stick at a time, checked the manual for the right sockets -Tried shorting the power pins for the front pannel, the power button works fine on the old mb -Tried plugging the cpu cooler in the other cpu cooler socket, cooler works fine on the old mb Does this sound like a dead cpu or dead motherboard to you? Personally im down to these last 2 options but im open to other suggestions. I dont have any other am5 socket cpu or motherboard to test either of them so id rather get another opinion before returning one or the other. Thanks in advance Detailed parts list: -MB: ASRock A620M Pro RS - 90-MXBLN0-A0UAYZ -CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8x 4.20GHz So.AM5 -RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance DDR5 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL36 AMD -PSU: 750 Watt Corsair CX Series CX750 Non-Modular 80+ Bronze -GPU: 16GB MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black OC Aktiv PCIe 4.0 x16 (x8) -Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2
  5. Hello LTT community, I'm reaching out for help regarding an Intermittent issue I've been experiencing with my PC. Here are the details of my system: PC Specs: Phanteks Evolv Shift Air CASE Ryzen 1800x CPU AMD 6750xt GPU (with Phantkes riser cable) Deepcool 850 ATX PSU Aorus B450i Mini ITX MOTHERBOARD 8x2 (16GB) DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RAM 2133 500GB NVMe DRIVE Noctua NH-L9i CPU Cooler No keyboard or mouse Software Information: Windows version: [Latest] GPU Drivers: [Latest] BIOS F61 (2021) The Issue: Sometimes my computer fails to POST. When this occurs, the fans and lights turn on, but there's no display on the screen. However, there are instances when the PC boots and functions normally. Troubleshooting Steps Taken: I've already tried the following solutions without a consistent fix: Replaced PSU (Seasonic 650w previously) Replaced RAM (TeamGroup previously) Replaced GPU (GTX970 previously) Cleared the CMOS BIOS defaults Tried HDMI and DP outputs on GPU (Various cables) Tried running with one stick of RAM Added a "motherboard speaker" (error beeps: LONG SHORT SHORT SHORT, indicating a problem related to the video card - AGP error) Various actions like powering off the PSU, turning the PC on and off, waiting, clearing CMOS, reseating RAM/GPU, and unplugging/plugging DP or HDMI cables. Checked that all PSU cables were properly connected. Ensured GPU and RAM were fully seated. Noctua NH-L9i CPU Cooler is installed properly. (Temperatures are normal when PC boots) Different wall outlet Fresh Windows install Additional Notes: The motherboard speaker beeps indicate a video card problem, but the issue is intermittent and challenging to pinpoint. Occasionally, the PC boots after powering off the PSU, turning it on and off, waiting, clearing CMOS, reseating RAM, and unplugging/plugging the display cable. (one or a combination of these) Notably, the beeping error does not always prevent the PC from booting. Plugging the DP/HDMI cable after the beeps sometimes causes the PC to boot and function normally. Steps Not Yet Tried: Update to the latest BIOS version for the Aorus B450i Mini ITX motherboard. Consider testing with a CPU with onboard graphics (if available) to eliminate potential GPU-related issues. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Best regards,
  6. Hello community, I've upgraded my CPU, RAM, MOBO and CPU Cooler. Therefore, I gave my old gear to my younger sister. Here are the components I gave her: - Intel 8700K (CPU) - G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3000MHZ 8GB x2 (RAM) - MSI z370 Gaming Pro Carbon (MOBO) - Cpoler Matser MasterAIr MA610P (CPU Cooler) Here are the rest of her specs: Previously, as I had upgraded to an RTX3080, I gave her my old GPU: an AMD RX 5700XT. She has an LC6550GP2 550w PSU, a 120gb SSD, a 500gb M.2 nvme SSD that has not been initalized yet, and a 1TB HDD. Windows is currently installed on the 120gb SSD. Here's the issue: No post. It boots, everything lights up (cooler, mobo, gpu, RAM rgb, case fans), all the fans are spinning (except for the GPU fans that has a silence mode built-in). When plugged to the monitor, the light indicator switches from orange to white showing that the monitor detects a connection - then it promptly goes to orange again and the monitor goes back to sleep. The monitor works with my PC. The motherboard signals a red light on the DRAM indicator. Further context and details: - Thermal paste is applied. - The system used to house a 4th gen i5 CPU and a GTX960. The case is pretty small and the new components are a very tight fit. (Picture: GPU removed for more visibility). The motherboard is fixed on the case with stand off hex screws. - The components worked with no issues on my PC. - The RAM sticks seems intact (see pics) and the rgb lights up when booting the system - The PSU has a 550w capacity but comes from a Noname brand and hasn't even got a Bronze certification - Her system worked fine with the Intel 4th gen and the AMD GPU rx5700XT I intend to remove all the components and build a cardboard bench outside the PC case. I would love to hear your thoughts about the possible issues and how to address them. I have my own computer at hand, so I can use my own components to see what is happening. Thanks for the help, cheers!
  7. Hi all, I noticed some artifacting and crashing applications earlier today and decided to take apart and clean most of my PC, figuring it was dust causing connection issues for my components. I put everything back together and am now getting hung up on the CPU debug light and my PC now cannot even boot to BIOS. I have tried: Removing all but 1 stick of ram Clearing CMOS, and subsequently replacing the battery Reseating all components and repasting CPU thermal paste Flashing BIOS via USB drive to both the current version it was on and the most updated version I am about out of ideas and would super appreciate any input! The only thing I can think of at this point would be going to the store and buying another GPU to test if that's the problem. Because of the artifacting, it's seeming to me like that's the most likely culprit. I would warranty the GPU, but because I bought it during the crypto mining peak, it came from China. MSI China won't recognize the warranty because it was used outside of their region and MSI USA won't recognize the warranty because it's "not from their region". Specs: Ryzen 5800x MSI 3080 Suprim MSI B450 Tomahawk Max Corsair 3200Mhz (4x8GB) Corsair H100I Platinum EVGA 1000w PSU Windows 11
  8. My system will no longer POST after I enabled AMD EXPO. I have already POSTed before and have even installed windows and drivers. I tried jumping JBAT_1 with a screw driver for 10 seconds. Still no POST. I took the CMOS battery out for a minute and put it back in. Still no POST. Debug LED says no CPU detected (Red) and no RAM detected (orange). It was originally running at 4800 and I set it to the rated 6000. CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM: G.Skill flare X5 DDR5-6000 16GBx2 CL36 (F5-6000J3636F16GX2-FX5) Mobo: MSI B650 Tomahawk WiFi GPU: ASRock Phantom Gaming RX 7800 XT PSU: MSI MPG a750g PCIe5 Case: Lian li Lancool III Black RGB CPU cooler: Deepcool Ls720 se Storage: WD SN570 1TB NVMe + Teamgroup 512GB SATA SSD
  9. I bought a new system yesterday and assembled all the components. After trying to POST it keeps spitting out beep errors ( 1 long and 3 short) which indicates conventional or extended memory error. I have tired almost everything from reseating ram... changing modules... using one ram stick. But it doesn't post. Am I missing something or is the cpu or ram the issue? -Ryzen 5 4600g -Asus Prime a520m-k -Corsair vengeance lpx 8gb ddr4 (two sticks) -WD SN350 480gb ssd -antec atom b650 power -antec nx410 v2 case
  10. Hey, I am having a really weird problem with my pc which I can not figure out from 3 months now, so I am posting here if someone can help. I have a i79700k processor, I am trying to use it on gigabyte Z390 ud motherboard, the pc doesn't boot/post when I setup my pc and the processor gets really really hot in a couple of seconds. I took the motherboard and the chip to gigabyte server center, they tested the board and it worked with their processor, it posted and I saw the bios myself, they tried with my processor, it didn't work. I sent the processor to Intel, got a call from them that the processor is completely fine, they have tested it on multiple board, with stress testing it for 12 hours. I got my processor back and the motherboard, they still didn't work. Processor still over heats, motherboard lights up, ram lights up. There's little lights in bottom right corner of the motherboard it tells that it has detected ram, cpu, gpu but no boot. Now I wonder if the processor is fine, the motherboard is fine why does it not work. It's supposed to be working fine on this motherboard. Thanks for reading! I hope I can get some help.
  11. Hi, Here is my comp-list: cpu: i5-12600k mobo: Asus Rog strix b660-i gpu: rog strix 2060 S ssd (OS): samsung 980GB 970 m.2 ssd: samsung 870 EVO psu: Cooler master V750 SFX Gold Rev.2 chassi: NR200P cooling: H100 240mm rad with total of 4 120mm fans in chassi. (Cooling is no issue) So here is the issue: I just swaped out my GPU to a Asus Rog Strix RTX 3080 TI and now i run in to all sorts of problem. If i unplug the gpu i can use integrated graphics so the computer works fine. But when i plug in the gpu everything goes to hell. No video, no boot device, video thru cpu but it freezes after 5s of usage. When i use integrated grsphics i can clearly see the gpu, it is detected and no errors. But as soon as i change cable from integrated to the 3080 all cinds of issues appear. So my question is. Is this a bad gpu? Or is my power supply simply to weak? The CPU goes up to 80W during boot. please help.

Cpu-ryzen 5 5600x Mobo-asus b550m zaku Cooler-deepcool captain 240pro v2 Graphics card-gigabyte eagle radeon 6600 Ram-g skill aegis ddr 4 3000 16g (2x 8g sticks) So I just upgraded my cpu from a ryzen 3 3200g to the ryzen 5 5600x and it won't post. I performed a bios update to the latest revision while I had my old cpu in and had no issues what so ever. I ran a couple updates after the bios update on graphics card and on the system itself and no problems. Shut everything down and swaped the cpu out. Reinstalled cooler and powered on. Started it up and it won't post. Bios light is light up dram so I repeated both sticks and still same issue. Tried both sticks each as single channel and same issue. Tried a bios flashback but light will only flash 3 times. Any idea on what could be wrong? I had a stream planned for this weekend and would like to get it running asap
  13. Folks I goofed up. Was moving my current rig into a new case that would fit the 7900xtx i bought myself for my birthday. Consiquently i upgraded my psu to a Coursair RM1000e fully modular psu. The smart move i did was just move the mobo and gpu to the new case with the new psu, test boot to make sure all was good then install the 7900. long story short no boot on the test boot. No psu fan spin, no debug leds on mobo, no visible smoke or sizzling noise. Decided to swap new psu for old and discovered i put the Cpu 8pin into the (old)Gpu and one of the 6+2 pcie cables to the cpu socket. Pretty sure the old setup is toast. Plan going forward take m.2 from old mobo put in m.2 to usb adapter and check if it is still good. if so build new 5950X system once last of the parts arrive Wednsday. Was not expecting to dip into savings but oh well. Boot in safemode since going from a Asus Tuff Gaming to an MSI mobo. Copy last of the files off that m.2 then burn install media for proxmox and win 10. then use that m.2 as a secondary to the new one incase it decides to crap out. Build new vm's for win 10, Linux, and Android-X86. Given the oopsie i just did and the plan i have does anyone see any holes in that plan?
  14. New PC won’t turn on after RMAing half the parts I first tried to assemble this pc about a month ago now and I haven’t been able to get it to turn on once. I’ve sent it to the local pc repair place twice now and I’ve had the mobo and cpu RMAed from Newegg and back and it still is giving me the same issues. Today was my last attempt at rebuilding it and now the Psu is making a weird wurring sound. The only sign of life at all consistently between the tries is that the flash bios light comes on properly when the button is pressed. Specs: Storage: WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe SSD mobo: pro Z690-A WIFI Cpu: Intel 12600k Ram: vengeance ddr5 2x16 Cpu: cooler: Fuma 3 Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow GPU: 3060 TI PSU: MSI MPG A750GF Gaming Power Supply I've done the paper clip test with the PSU and the PSU fan turns on but when its plugged into the mobo in any way the psu starts making a tinny wurring sound. I haven't tried another PSU since I got the MOBO and CPU back from RMA from Newegg but Id also like to note the condition the CPU box came back in which Ill show below I'm gonna try and get a PSU to test today but figured I'd ask around to see if anything stuck out to people
  15. Hey guys, and gurls, so, i am currently building a pc for some home lab experiments. Just starting so looked what i could get my hands on for cheap. Installed all the parts, everything went great. PC posted and i installed Ubuntu on it (i know distro choices are something people can get verry woked up over, but i have a lot of experience with ubuntu, so that is what i felt comfortable with for the start). After about two weeks of installing programms, restarting the pc on ocassions and everithing going i restarted the pc once again, but it just did not post. It was stuck on the DRAM debug LED. Half an hour later and some tryling later i had to go somewhere. When i returned and tryed to turn the PC on, it just worked again. But from this point on it would sometimes outright completly freeze and sometimes not boot at all. The problem seem to get worse and currently i can't get it to post. The Specs: OS: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS MB: GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO V2 (rev. 1.0) CPU: AMD Ryzen 5600G RAM: 32GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 DIMM CL16 (not on the compability list) RAM 2. Option: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 CL15 (on the compability list) GPU: Integrated Graphics Drive: Samsung 970 Pro 500GB PSU: 600 Watt be quiet! System Power 9 CM Modular What i have already tried: Clear CMOS Flash Bios with QFlash Plus Reseat all Cables Reseat CPU & check for bent pint Try different RAM (known working) Try G.Skill RAM in other System: confirmed working Maybe you have another idea what i could try. Happy to try anything that seems kinda reasonable Thanks in advance Kuchenpirat
  16. No POST after updating to windows 11 Decided to update to windows 11. When the update was finished installing, it prompted me to restart my PC, when I restarted it, it wouldn’t boot. I tried power cycling, clearing CMOS, flashing bios, nothing works. Have a green BOOT light on my motherboard. Before I updated the bios, the motherboard lights and light strips connected worked but after the bios flash, no lights or connected lights on the motherboard work besides the debug lights. Any Ideas on what I should do? I tried all the recommended things to do in this forum short of reseating the CPU and checking power cables since it worked fine before the update. Main specs are: Intel 13700KF Asus z790 Strix Wi-fi D4 32gb Corsair DDR4 3200 EVGA RTX 3080ti
  17. Computer won’t post at all. VGA LED is on and won’t go away. Computer was running fine until I cleaned it a few weeks ago and didn’t use it for about another week. When I tried to boot it, the system wouldn’t post. I have tried unplugging everything from the system and replugging which includes: two hard drives, an SSD, 2 system fans, CPU fan, front panel connector, CPU power, motherboard power, VGA power, HD audio, and still, no post.(I kept the CPU and NVME SSD in). I have tried two other video cards as well which includes my old MSI VENTUS 2060 6GB and my first R7 250 series. I have cleared the CMOS several times and I have even changed the 2032 battery. I have cleaned out the PCIE slots with blow off and I’ve even tried all three cards In both slots PCIE slots. Here is my system list: MSI B450 Tomahawk (not the MAX) 16GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz Ryzen 7 2700X MSI VENTUS 3060 12GB And now: EVGA 850GT 850W Gold Plus PSU
  18. Recently I updated my desktop to Windows 11 and this has exacerbated an existing issue with the machine. Occasionally when restarting, most often while applying updates, the computer will lock up just before POST and be stuck in this state until I force a shutdown. This same behavior happens if I attempt to power on shortly (within about 30 minutes) of a shutdown. When the PC boots with the BIOS in safe mode after the force shutdown it will boot without issue. It will also boot without issue after resetting the BIOS or simply saving and exiting after entering the BIOS from the safe mode boot. The computer also simply boots if I've left it to sit overnight after a shutdown. I shutdown my PC for the night once I've finished and it nearly always (99%of the time) boots right up so long as it's had time to "settle." About the only thing I can think of is that the motherboard is getting on in age and may need replacing but it seems to do just fine and hasn't given me any sign other than this issue that it could be failing. P.S. Before even finishing this post I "cold" booted the desktop and it's currently running without issue Build: ASUS Crosshair VI Hero Rev 1.xx BIOS 8601 Ryzen 7 5800X3D Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200MHz 4x8GB ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Corsair MP 600 2TB (boot) EVGA SuperNova 1000 G3
  19. Old: asrock b550 phantom gaming 4 New: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK AM4 AMD AMD Ryzen™ 5 4500 6-Core nVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Silicon Power Value Gaming DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) Apevia ATX-PR800W This computer is brand new, I got all the parts 7 days ago from today and everything was working fine. I was in the middle of playing and the screen freezes and goes to diagnostics, I turned it off and when I tried to turn it back on it wouldn’t display or post. It’s not the graphics card we tested on a different pc and it’s not the motherboard because I returned the asrock and got the msi one. The MSI one displayed for a sec but we missed bios and turned it off only for vga led to turn on. Same problem I had on the first board. The first board which the initial crash happened on first lit up on VGA and after hours of trouble shooting it went to boot. We tried with one ram, reset the cmos, tried hdmi on the first board. We moved everything over to the new board and same problem VGA. Pretty bummed out, we’re gonna try to trouble shoot again tomorrow but it’s not the gpu or mobo, I doubt it’s the cpu because it’s brand new and worked fine. Maybe it’s the psu but everything lights up all the fans spin and rgbs light up. Any help would be really appreciated.
  20. Hey, seems I'm making one of these again... I have an ASUS x570-E Gaming board. Yesterday I used the PC normally, without issues. Today it refused to start. It wasn't even willing to post, just threw a 1F error. Removed the CMOS battery, shorted the reset pins, took the graphics card out and put an old r7 250 in, but none of these helped. I checked the site, there was a new BIOS released 3 days ago, figured I'll install that through BIOS Flashback, maybe there was something important in it. Now I'm getting a 22 code, which seems RAM related. So I tried different sticks in different slots, tried with only 1 stick, tried without ram, nothing. This borad feels like a brittle POS. It took me almost 2 weeks to troubleshoot all the issues it had back when I put it in. It's barely been 2 month and it's started again. Full specs: Ryzen 9 5950x 4x8GB G.Skill Trident Z INNO3d RTX 4090 EVGA 1000GT 80+ Gold Alpenföhn 360AIO for the CPU. Any Ideas on what I could do with this garbage other than throwing it out?
  21. Hi there After not using my PC for 5 days it randomly shut off after about 1 hour of use. Now, when I turn on my PSU, the motherboard's RGB will turn on as normal. When I press the power button, it'll light up and stay lit indefinitely. The fans spin up for about a second, however immediately turn off again. None of the POST LEDs light up. It doesn't fully power off after, either. It's basically fully powered off except for the power button light stays lit and the button doesn't do anything upon pressing the button until I turn the PSU off and on. In addition, on the same evening, I might have broken some of my RAM. I was really sleep deprived and tried to test if the RAM was the problem. After that, I haven't attempted anything further. The system is about a year old: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Motherboard: ASUS PRIME X570-PRO RAM: CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL (DDR4, 3600MHz, CL18, 4x16GB) GPU: GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3080 VISION OC 10G Case: CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 Pro, 2TB Samsung 980 Pro PSU: CORSAIR RM750x (750 Watt, 80+ Gold) Cooling: CORSAIR iCue H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit If you need more details that will help solve this issue, I'll gladly provide. Edit 1: Whenever i pressed the power button my PSU would click once and then click again when I shut down my PC. I noticed that now the PSU clicks twice in quick succession. I reset the BIOS.
  22. Hello everyone, currently having an issue with a build I am assembling for a friend. On first power on the computer turned on and fans spun up but after 10 minutes of waiting it would not post. I powered it off and figured it needed a bios update to run the 5600X, so I used an Athlon 200GE I have for doing bios updates and testing on AM4 motherboards. It booted right up and posted in the bios without issue with the Athlon, I also noticed that the RGB lights came on right away when it started posting, which it didn't do with the 5600X installed, I did the bios update and reinstalled the 5600X back into the system. It again powered up with fans spinning(no RGB lights again) but no post or display, but then after about 5 minutes and me just about to power it down again(thinking the CPU was bad), the RGB lights came on and it posted with the 5600X. I figured maybe some weird bios settings refresh or something because it did have me reset the FTPM when it finally posted. I powered the system down and back on a couple of times to make sure it wasn't a fluke and then installed Windows. After installing and setting up Windows I turned the computer off and on, restarted it, let it go to sleep, the whole nine just making sure it didn't have that abnormally long post again. It didn't. I then went into bios to enable XMP on the memory. It enabled and the system restarted, going into the same post issue as before, I waited 10 minutes and nothing. Ended up having to reset the CMOS to get it to post again, and again it took 5 to 6 minutes of no RGB lights and display to finally light up and post. I did some more testing, in Windows. Once powered on the system will shut down, restart, and cold boot from being off for several hours no problem. However, the second I leave the system powered off and unplugged from the wall for more than 10 minutes(or try to enable XMP) it goes back to taking 5-6 minutes for it to finally post and display. I have never seen this before. Full specs(all parts are brand new): Ryzen 5 5600X 32GB(2x16GB) 3600mhz T-Force Vulcan Z DDR4 Memory Gigabyte B450m DS3h WiFi Rev: 1.2 MSI Ventus 3X GeForce RTX 3060ti Corsair RM750e 80+ Gold PSU Lian Li Liancool 205m Mesh Case Troubleshooting steps I have tried: Replaced CPU with another brand new 5600X I keep in stock (same issue) Tried two other kits of Ram, one that was on the QVL list (same issue) strangely the other ram kits do allow XMP to be enabled without it taking forever to post again regardless it still does it after a 10 minute power cycle Tried a different PSU (Same issue) Tried system outside of case on test bench (same issue) At this point I think the motherboard is just bad, he bought the parts and I told him to go with a better board originally before he purchased them, but he went with this one because of the price. I might just need to have him return it and get a different one. As it's the only thing I don't have another one to test it with. It's just such a weird issue I have never encountered before and I've tested everything else.
  23. English isn't my native language so sorry for this I need help with my pc that doesn't boot anymore after I used DDU to unistall de gpu drivers and take off the gpu (gtx 1080) and give it to its owner, now, that I wanted to start my pc it doesn't boot anymore, it lights up the VGA led and the debug code sometimes shows "A0 and A4" (I have an aorus ultra z590) I tried to take off the ssd and hdd, I tried to clear de CMOS, retire the CMOS battery and nothing happend, still the same, I'm out of ideas... I hope someone can help me with this and thank you Edit: I borrow a gpu from a friend, re-enabled integrated onboard graphics, everything working again, maybe aorus no more, just problems since y change mobo...
  24. Hi all, I've got an older system that I'm trying to work on (In a test bench right now), but whenever I put 2 (even 1) of my 4 sticks of ram into slots B1 and B2, the PC doesn't post no matter what. I've tried multiple sticks, multiple kits, etc. and none seem to work. A1 and A2 work perfectly, and I've tried the ram in another PC with a P5K Deluxe motherboard, and all seem to work too. I'm entirely lost on how to fix this issue. I did bend one pin back into position on the motherboard however, and I'm not entirely sure if that's what's causing this issue in the first place. I've put a picture of the 775 pinout, and a red circle on which pin it was. Specs: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (Stock Intel cooler) Asus P5K-E 4x2gb Kingston KVR667D2N5/2G DDR2-667 (On QVL list for this motherboard) Radeon HD 6750 Corsair HX620w The other computer I have (That works) is running: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 (Stock Intel Cooler) Asus P5k Deluxe 4x2gb Kingston KVR667D2N5/2G DDR2-667 (Again, on QVL list) Radeon HD 5770 Corsair AX850
  25. My build: i7-9700k gigabyte aorus z390 master zotac rtx 2060 cooler master 650W 80 plus gold My pc has been running absolutely fine for 3.5 years. But after updating my gpu driver recently the pc got completely frozen. Even power or reset button wasn't working. I had to unplug and re-plug to restart the computer. It ran fine for a couple of hours. When I left to do something else for around half an hour, after coming back I though my pc was in sleep mode as usual. But when I pressed power button I just heard a click sound from psu and pc didn't even post. No fans were spinning. The ram rgb lit up after a while and nothing else happened. Upon further pressing power button nothing else happened. When I turned off and on psu switch and pressed power button again, I heard the same click and the same thing happened. When I took out the GPU the pc started normally. None of my friends own a desktop so I can't check with another gpu or system. I took my pc to a local repair shop and they checked with a low power gpu (didn't need pcie power cable), the pc again turned on fine. They didn't have a power supply suitable for checking my GPU so I brought it back home. Now I want to take my gpu or psu to the shop I bought it from. It's not possible to take the whole pc due to some issues. Sadly gpu warranty period is over but PSU still has warranty left. So if the gpu is actually dead I'll have to get another one. But I'm unsure which one is causing the problem and which one to take. Please help me figure out what to do at this point. I saved up for years to build my pc. If I end up replacing the gpu, I'll have to settle for a gtx1650 or rx6400 since gpu prices has increased in my area and my budget decreased. So I kinda hope the psu is causing the problem. It really breaks my heart when I think about the whole ordeal. I wish better pc parts were available at similar price or same parts at a cheaper price after a few years but that is not the case.
