It require to be able to run multi VMs with Linux on it for data processing and I want this pc to last for a long time. So, I decided to go with a i9-10900K with 32GB 3600MHz of RAM, No Graphics Cards because of the shortage (That's why I choose Intel) Case: Also, my initial plan was to build a Mini ITX... I live in a small condo and I wanted something who won't take the whole space. But, because of temperature management, I think that wouldn't been the greatest idea. I choose de H700 case for that. But I also see the H510 case. So, If you have any suggestion in smaller case. I would really appreciate ! GPU / Power Supply (Futurproof) : When the shortage of Graphics Cards will end (If it end..), I want to ram up a solid GPU, like 3080 or more for gaming. I'm not sur on the Watts for the PowerSupply, but with a lot of workload and maybe a future GPU, I want something that would I have no worries about. RGB: Ok, I know this is not necessary.. but when you spend a considerable amount of money on a PC, why not make it a showroom ? I really don't want a PC who look like a car with neon. So I'm Swarnava Majumder from India, an a student of Animation . Nice to meet everyone here . So for last 3 years I have lived a life without any pc or even laptop (i know it sounds crazy but it is true) but now since I've got admitted in Animation my subject demands a pc so my parents agreed to get me one and as a tech enthusiast I decided to build a pc , a Ryzen build . You may ask why ryzen build : because its more bank for buck . Since i had streaming in my head for quite a while now i decided to go with a 6 core processor ryzen 5 1600 (not 2600 because I'm in a super tight budget of Rs.45,000=$400approx including all peripherals ). I already did research and bought the powersupply and RAM and monitor: Powersupply : Corsair VS 550 (from Amazon) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR4 3000MHz (also amazon and 3000MHz since ryzen works better with faster memory) . Monitor: HP 22es (from Amazon in an awesome deal) Before I say any further I must say that I will buy a graphics card but not now , next year . But I came to know that ryzen 5 1600 cant run without a dedicated gpu so I got upset and thought of settling with ryzen 5 2400g . But I saw that core i5 8400 has an integrated gpu and also 6cores (need 6 cores for streaming) so after a lot of cost cutting from case , motherboard and ssd I saw i can just afford i5 8400 with some compromise on other areas . SO NOW MY QUESTION IS : Does Intel core i5 8400 support a 3000MHz RAM on a Gigabyte H310M H motherboard ? I mostly just stick to my Dota 2, and Distance. What i am looking for is maybe something i can lug around and play some multiplayer games/Party games with my friends when i go to their houses and such. Would the build in the link above suffice?

I am in the process of building a PC for my brother as a standard web surfing rig but something he could put a graphics card into, in the future if he wanted. Everything seems to be fine except I cant get the pc to display on my monitor. Im getting a VGA light on the motherboard which the manual says means the motherboard isnt detecting a graphics card. I am not planning on putting a graphics card into the PC right now so I am wanting to know how I can get the PC to post past this error? Or do I HAVE to get a graphics card to be able to post? Hi! This is my first post! I've been sleuthing through the forum and I can't find anything that suites my needs in other peoples' threads or that's recent and relevant. I need something with which I can use MS Office or connect to work via a work VPN. I usually have lots of tabs and lots of big PDFs open with Word documents, Excel sheets and other stuff. Some of it open via VPN, some open locally. I do not game at all, but I like bringing my laptop with me when I travel for work or on vacation so that I can watch netflix and amazon prime in my hotel room. I have a work laptop, so I don't need to carry it daily to work and I have peripherals and a screen at home to plug into. I'm going to be the sole user. I'm also open to the idea of a pre-made mini PC (something small enough to vesa mount behind a screen for example and I can wait until the end of summer if necessary. I got some help and made this table containing all the info I could think about. First column is the stuff I think I need. Second, the stuff that's nice, but not necessary. Third, stuff I don't care for or prefer not to have present. Finally the fourth is stuff I absolutely don't want. I currently have a E2200 and i want to do a cheap upgrade to a Q6600. The PC has: Intel E2200 4 Gb of ram No graphics card or sound card The main reason I was getting this cpu was that it would stutter when trying to view a 1080p youtube video. I could only watch 720p and sometimes 720p 60 fps videos. So would this cpu help with that or no? Also will it help in gaming (minecraft and racing games). Thanks

I need a new PC since my current laptop is dying and i would rather get a desktop instead of a laptop. Im not the best when it comes to parts either really since i am normally only building PC's not picking it out. All i want this PC for is gaming and some video editing and photo editing as well as school work. the 1,000 budget is for everything except the graphics card since I am going to get a gtx 770 within the next month or so and i already have a 1080p monitor as well a KB+M this also excludes operating system. I would prefer intel over amd but i guess i can be convinced if needed. My main game focus on this system would be Battlefield 4, Planetside 2, League of Legends, as well as Elder Scrolls Online And Tera. also i don't mind stock cooler for the cpu as i will probably get a better cooler later and overclock the cpu then so main focus would be on processor, motherboard, ram, power supply, case, and hard drive but i do have a 500GB drive here so its optional. i would like to have some expandability on the PC itself so if i ever feel like adding some sort of capture card and such but i don't plan on crossfire or sli. Sorry for the big description since I have never asked the forum for anything so i just want to clarify as best i can Thank You for the help :3 BTW no need for a DVD/CD Drive sorry for not having it here earlier
