I first noticed this issue a while ago after first building my new pc. When I turn on the computer the internect connection symbol was displaying "no connection", but after waiting about 10 seconds it was fine. As this is not a major issue I have ignored it and sometimes it is almost connected instantly. However when trying to setup a remote control turn on function using "Wolow" that utilises the "wake on magic packet" ability, it would not work. I followed there guide exactly and all the setting are correct, so thats not the problem. Then I realised that maybe it is the fact that the pc is not getting connection when it is turned off, I am not sure how to check it but I have restarted the computer a few times and every time it takes some time to connect. I am currently running the latest version of windows 11 (2023-04 Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057)), with the latest updates for bios etc on armoury crate and latest graphics card drivers and my Pc componets are listed below. If anyone knows how I can reslove this issue would be a great help, thank you very much. Hey all I just moved into a new apartment in college and plugged in my new Netgear c3700 wifi cable modem router. I have the coaxial plugged in, power, and Ethernet from the modem router to my computer but I get zero connection. Both the upstream and downstream lights blink continuously, the only I can connect to (sometimes) is the given ISP linking me towards Netgear Genie. As far as I remember these things are suppose to be nearly just plug and play. I can't figure out what to do at this point. In netgear genie it says internet "in profess" and is red. I've gone into administration and shut off router mode, turned it back on. No alas I still have no internet connection. Does anyone have any ideas?

Hi Recently I bought a Asus usb-ac56 802.11ac wireless adapter because I have had a big problem with the Internet connection with my last Internet card that was an 802.11n wireless lan card and I made me have random lags or a fast Internet big drop and then come back up normally and then comes back in a second and the internet was really fast with it but the problem was that it lagged too often and i also bought a new router that was an rt-ac87u but when try to connect to the Internet with the USB it connects with my pc but it doesn't give any Internet and the Internet overall is superfast but superslow from time to time but Idk if it has something to do with the router settings that says that "the wan ip is not the external Up.External ip-based services will not work" Please help I can't seem to make Internet work on my pc and the Internet problem

Hello guys, i recently build a new computer. I'm using the MSI Z270 Carbon as a motherboard and a fresh installation of Windows 10, 64bit as the operating system. Sometimes when i start my computer, i dont have an internet connection. I say sometimes.. because it's seemingly random and only happens rather rarely. About one in 5-10 starts i'd say. I can not intentionally reproduce the problem. Informations about the problem: - Windows problem analysis tells me that the cable is not / loosely inserted - When i restart the computer it's gone again (probably since it doesnt always happen when starting) - The same happens when i pull out the cable. Most of the times it does not reconnect automatically. If i remember right, it did reconnect once tho. I can test this further if you want me to. - I can get the internet connection to work without a restart if i play around with the windows ehternet adapter and turn it off and on again, wait a bit and repeat - until it reconnect. So far this worked every time. Sometimes first try, sometimes i have to turn it off and on a few times.. What i tried so far: - Because of what windows says when the problem occurs, i tried a different cable. Problem still occured (and ive never had problems with the first cable either). I still bought a new cable to try it, since mine are all very old. - Drivers should be up to date. Downloaded chipset and "Intel Network Drivers" from https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z270-GAMING-PRO-CARBON.html#down-driver&Win1064 I hope i posted this in the right section, since it might be a problem with windows instead of the motherboard. I just dont know. I've never had such a problem. If you need any informations, i will do my best to provide them. English is not my native language and i'm no expert either, so please try to be specific when giving advice or telling me to check something. Thanks in advance, Fabian

Hey so I have this happening to me every now and then. MY keyboard just keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every few seconds. I have noticed that it often occures when my CPU gets pushed to 100% or goes down from a high percentage, like when closing an CPU intensive game quicker than the game would like. Just a moment ago when I started GTA it started disconnecting and reconnecting and I hear that annoying sound of it. Then I restarted my PC to fix it and just after the reboot if worked fine but then I started up GTA again and my keyboard did the described funky things again. Then I rebooted again and now my keyboard works, but I haven´t tried GTA yet. I need help to fix my problem, please comment if you know any possible solution.

Hello, So I very recently moved from a Micro ATX to a Mini ITX mobo and reused almost everything. The new Mini ITX case came with a riser cable that I HAVE to use do to its design. What I thought was originally a mobo issue turns out to not be (I received my replacement today and these issues seem to be persisting). My computer will just randomly get crackling audio and sometimes I'll lose my video signal, but I can still hear my music. I can turn the monitor back on and my PC is, seemingly, fine. My question is, could this be a faulty riser cable? This is a used case and cable and my GPU was working flawlessly before moving it to this new setup. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Mobo - Asrock B450 Gaming-ITX/ac - fully updated BIOS GPU - Gigabyte GTX 1080 - fully updated driver RAM - Corsair Vengeance PRO RGB - 16gb (3200) CPU - Ryzen 5 1600X Thanks again!

Hi community! So recently, the Ethernet on my laptop has gone down. The wifi, being Intel AC 3165, is fine. When connected to my Ethernet adapter, which is a Realtek card (Just say Family controller. No models ect.), I get a no internet connection. Apparently, my laptop is sending packets to the router, but the router is not responding to the packets. What should I do? I have already: Reset network Reinstalled drivers messed with settings(no difference) Thank you!

I've recently changed internet service provider and have a new router. The problem is that I keep losing connection. Troubleshooting from "Networking and Internet settings" will usually fix the problem, for a time, until I loose connection again later on. Rarely the troubleshooter doesn't fix it and I have restart the computer. My computer is connected by Ethernet cable. I've tried following a guide without any luck: https://troubleshooter.xyz/wiki/fix-ethernet-doesnt-have-a-valid-ip-configuration/#Method_10_Enable_DHCP_client_service Any suggestions?

Hello guys! Hope you are doing well So i got myself a pair of UiiSii C8 earphones for my OnePlus 6T. The main reason for buying these was a usb-c type connection, I just hate adapters/dongles. UiiSii work perfectly with my OnePlus, never had any issues. My PC however doesn't want to work with them for some reason. I have a MSI B360M Mortar motherboard, which has a usb-c type port. When I stick UiiSii into motherboards usb-c port, nothing happens. It just does not recognize them at all. I've already updated my MB BIOS to the latest version as well as audio drivers from B360M official website. Earphones do not appear in sound menu. Choosing Realtek Digital Output instead of a standard one makes no difference. Maybe you have some ideas how to make UiiSii pairing/working with my PC?

My PC (Which i am writing from right now) is connected and getting a fine internet connection. My phone Sony Xperia 1 android 10 (Should that matter at all) I am perplexed and would be grateful if anyone knows how i might be able to fix this, because i wont be getting my LAN connection fixed for at least a few more days. I've been trying to connect my Xbox One Elite controller to my PC for quite some time now. I've followed all the troubleshooting guides, and talked to multiple tech support people from both xbox and windows support, but nothing seems to help. I know the controller isn't bluetooth enabled, and I don't have the wireless dongle, so my only option is to connect it via USB. I've tried plugging it in to every USB slot I have on my pc, using every USB cord at my disposal, and the same thing happens every time: the controller vibrates once, and then nothing. It doesn't turn on, it won't sync, and the pc doesn't even recognize that anything is plugged in. When I try to turn on the controller while it's plugged in, it just turns on my xbox, so I unplugged the xbox. Then when I try to turn on the controller, it just flashes for a while, and turns off again. I don't know where the problem lies. I don't know if the controller and/or my pc are just incompatible, or if the company that built this pc for me (don't judge me, I'm stupid) gave me an illegitimate copy of windows 10, but something's wrong, and nobody seems to be able to help me figure out what. If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be and how to fix it, please let me know. Thank you.

I built this PC day before yesterday and put a clean windows install on it. It posts, runs, and the first night it had internet access. Ever since then, my internet access has disappeared. Still hardwired. The yellow stays light blinks slow and steady while the green status light stay dark. My wifi is still working fine, and when I plug the same cable into my Xbox it has internet access. I am lost!

I just moved about two weeks ago, and have been having a series of problems with the internet. Most are fixed now, however I am unable to connect to the internet via an ethernet cable on my main PC. I can connect to 192.168.0.1 and change settings on the router, and connect via wifi, but I can't connect to the internet through ethernet. On all other devices it works fine. When I connect on my main PC the network shows up as CableBox-XXXX, but on all other devices it shows up with the same name as the wifi.

Hello, I've got a brand new Dell XPS 13 9350 and I'm having big problems connecting to my houses Wi-Fi network. I live in a student apartment building and we all share Wi-Fi. 95% of the time I simply get the "can't connect to this network" message. The few times I manage to connect it fades away in about five minutes and either comes back for another five minutes or disappears for good. My other devices, that aren't running Win 10(android phone, chromecast), have never had any problem whatsoever with the connection. I also have a desktop that runs Win 10 and connects via Wi-Fi with an ASUS PCE adapter. The desktop connected fine for about 3 months and then I got the exact same problem I have with my laptop now. No matter what I tried I couldn't get it to connect to the houses Wi-Fi connection. After days of googling and trying different fixes I installed this Broadcom BCM-43xx Wireless Lan Drivers Version 7.35.308.0 WHQL driver and the problem was instantly solved. Now, with my laptop I think I've tried all the most common fixes; forgetting the network and adding it manually, searching for the latest drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the latest drivers from Dell's website, turning off 20/40 coexistance, turning off IPv6(not by tweaking the registry though), manually setting the DNS server IP... I don't know what to do anymore. To summarize: Win 10 desktop connects fine and so does android phone and chromecast but not my new laptop(connects fine to other networks though). I'm guessing it's got to have something to do with Win 10 and/or some driver/setting based on the circumstances. I have been living at uni for the past year, but everytime I come home and plug my PC in with ethernet connection, my sister can never connect to the internet with her ipad, or other wifi enabled devices. Normally I would not think that my computer was the cause considering everyone else's devices connect to wifi, but she only has these issues when my computer is plugged in. Does anyone know if there is some correlation between my PC using ethernet and her loss of wifi? and if so how to fix it so that we can both use the internet without me having to go out and buy a wifi card, because I really don't want to

Hi i dont have much knowledge about the workings of a wifi router so can anyone please advice, All problems started after i upgraded the internet speed Belkin router: F7D1301 v1 (01A) Modem: Sterlite Internet connection: Previously 1mbps now updated to 8mbps (on hardline connection i get only 6mbps) The ISP connected the net through a sterlite modem (provided by them), Lan 1 connected using a RJ45 cable into my PC and Lan 4 into the Belkin wifi router using the RJ45 cable that was provided by belkin. I get internet access on my PC through the cables but any device that is connected to the wifi does not have a stable connection. The belking router previously used to display a green light now it displays an amber light, but even though the light is amber some devices still have connection. Devices connected to wifi are: 1 Tv, 3 Mobiles, 1 laptop (previouse all used to connect with 1 mbps net speed) Now the TV does not connect at all to the wifi No one in my building uses Wifi so there is no interfearence also Wifi Settings: Security mode: WPA/WPA2- Personal (PSK) Authetication WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK Encryption: AES Firmware Version: 1.00.22 (Aug 31 2010) (This is no update available) Boot Version 1.20 Firewall Setting: Enabled Upnp: Enabled WPS Enabled Conection Status: Not Connected Is this happening because the router can't handle 8mbps speeds? If i need to upgrade i was considering Asus AC 87U or should i go for some other router? Can anything be done to get a stable connection on wifi. I have tried software and hard reset also but nothing changed... any suggestion would be helpful Thanks

There are no signals whatsoever, it can't find any networks whether I use normal search, WPS, directly entering the router info, it simply can't find a single thing. Basically, I've tried messing around with all the configurations in the utility, tried lots of different drivers from Mediatek, Realtek, and Asus, tried plugging it into all the different USB slots I have, nothing has worked. Got it used from Amazon, a well rated dealer if that helps at all. EDIT:Using my phone as a wi-fi card works just fine, so it's not the router. Going to try uninstalling the phone-as-WLAN-card drivers and get back to you guys. Nope, no cigar, same result when removing HTC NDIS drivers then trying to connect. Specs: Windows 7 64 bit Asrock H81M-ITX on BIOS version P 2.00, that's 0.01 behind the latest, which is described as "increases power efficiency" Pentium G3258 OC'ed to 4 gigahertz G.Skill Ripjaw X series DDR3 operating at 1333 megahertz WD Caviar Blue 1 TB 7200 RPM (Doubt this is even relevant, just putting it here since the rules say to) Cooler Master elite 130 EVGA 430W

Hi, a friend of mine has a problem with his graphics card (geforce gts450). The card doesn't output any signal to the monitor and doesn't show up in the Windows device manager (He can check it while the monitor is connected directly to the mainbord - the onboard graphics work). The bios settings seem to be fine (pcie is selected as preferred output). He has already checked the connection to the power supply and re-installed the card on the mainboard. What could be the problem? P.S. sorry for my very "basic" English skills. I'm not a native speaker
