Hey! Today i tried to build a pc for the first time. Everything wen't ok until i turned it on, black screen spamming delete, no signal. I tried spamming delete for a good while with no results. I saw the orange light immidietly on turning the pc on, which i know often indicates RAM. I didnt have much problems with ram on install, they clicked* and i double checked that they are in all the way. Building and trying to boot it took me about 5hrs, since i wanted to be sure of each step by double/triple checking on my other pc ex. LTT newest pc build guide video, general info in the net. There was one part. isntalling the mobo in the case. So there was already some sort of stands on the case, and i tried to fit my mobo in the case and realized, if i put another stand on top of the already exsiting ones, the mobo would be too high above, so that the io shield for example wouldnt fit. So i did just install it on the already existing ones, they fitted perfectly aswell. In ~13Hrs, i will be trying to figure out whats wrong with it more thoroughly. If u have anything you might think is the problem please dont hesitate to post it under, tyvm PC: ASUS ROG STRIX B650-E F GAMING WIFI Kingston 2x8Gb FURY beast DDR5 6000MHz CL36 Ryzen 5 7600X AM5 Gigabyte RTX 4060 EAGLE OC Samsung 1tb 980 PRO M.2 PCie 4.0 NvMe 7000/5000MB/s Seasonic 750W FOCUS GX-750 Noctua NH-D15 LianLi LANCOOL 216

New pc and first time building my own. I have no clue where the issue lies. I have tried troubleshooting on my own but can't seem to solve it. The ez diag led will go CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> CPU -> DRAM -> VGA -> BOOT And will stick on boot indefinitely with zero video output. Specs include: - i7-14700KF - 1080Ti Founders Edition - MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk WiFi Wifi DDr5 - 16gb Corsair Vengencd DDR5 5200 - WD Black SN850X 1TB - EVGA Supernova 850 G6 80 Plus Gold Things I've tried: - Each stick of ram in each ram slot - no ram - no gpu - unable to flash bios with newer version, led indicator for it remains turned on after flashing for 5-10 seconds - Checked cables to ensure plugged in all the way, willing to recheck if you guys think necessary I haven't checked the gpu in a known good computer, will do so when I get the chance but had to leave the house before I could get the chance to do so. Have attached photos of the ez diag mobo led and one of the rear ports to show the red bios flash light that remains on after every attempt. Any help is greatly appreciated and I do want to apologize ahead of time if I've overlooked any rules or guidelines before posting.

MOBO: Gigabyte B550 DSH3 1.3 CPU: R5 3600 GPU: RX 6650XT PSU: Corsair RM650 (Black label) SSD: Kingston KC3000 M.2 1TB This is my first PC, I built it around a year ago, up until now it hasn't had any problems at all, but out of nowhere it stopped working yesterday. PC does turn on, fans spinning, ram rgb turns on, cpu cooler turns on, the monitor does recognize something is trying to transmit to it but it just says "No signal", Its a pretty cheap mobo so no led codes or beeping, USB devices are not recognized but they are powered (even waiting a while doesn't sync the keyboard rgb as it should if the pc booted without display ), - Things I've tried: Removing cmos battery, plugging and unplugging the PSU, smelled everything but nothing seemed to smell burnt, tried to enter BIOS but nothing. Different DP cables and ports on gpu, different HDMI cables, double checked on display OSD I had the right input, reseated gpu and tried both x16 ports for it, none worked, also tried plugging it to a different display and nothing. Changed the ram to different slots, tried one stick in each port at a time. Tried changing SDD to a different slot and unplugged all other storage devices. Reseated the cpu as my last resource. Double checked if everything was plugged the right way. Right now, I don't have access to a different pc to verify what is wrong exactly, don't have spare parts not even ram to at least try and pinpoint, but here is my plan: (please tell me if I should do something differently) Now I am trying to borrow a gpu to see if thats whats fried or not, then my next bet would be to get a R3 3200g just for the cheapness and the integrated graphics so I can maybe get a successful display and be able to do schoolwork for the rest the semester, If it doesn't work I guess it would be the mobo instead and I would get a Biostar B550MH and my last bet would be a PSU maybe? All I need is to get up and running even if its slower and without gaming as hurtful as it is, anyone has an idea what could it be?

[Specs] CPU: Intel i7-4770 Motherboard: ASUS Intel LGA 1155 Micro ATX P8H67-M Ram: Two sticks of DDR3 8gb ram Storage: HDD 1 tb Misc.: Tower Fans, Tower RGB light Hello, I have recently purchased a new Motherboard, PSU, and Tower. I moved all my components into my new Tower, but I still have my old Motherboard. The new motherboard is screwed in, my Graphics card, RAM, HDD, and CPU are all in and well-seated. My PSU is hooked up, plugged in to my wall, and connected to my HDD and motherboard. My I/O, fan, power, and audio connectors are all plugged into the motherboard. However when I attempt to boot my PC, nothing happens. I double checked and confirmed that the front panel buttons are connected and booting the PC by touching the connectors with a screwdriver, so the buttons are not faulty. The PSU's cords have been hooked up with every wire, except the VGA wire because my Graphics Card doesn't have a connector for that. The motherboard has a green light on it, so it is recieving power. My monitor is plugged in to my wall outlet and motherboard as well. I've removed all but essential components such as 1 stick of RAM and the CPU so see if one of my components was faulty. It did not boot, even when removing all non-essential components. I've done this for both sticks of RAM. This is everything I've tried this far, and I provided as much notable information as I could. Please help me troubleshoot this, I'll be on standby answer any questions.

Pc wont boot So i recently needed an upgrade to my pc and got a new gpu. After installing my cpu overheated once while only having discord, spotify and opera gx on. After the overheating at random times both my screens go dark and fans stop spinning. But the motherboard lights stay on. Usually just holding down the power button for it to shut down then starting the pc again works and everything runs fine. But now it wont boot. Motherboard lights go on but fans dont spin and nothing happens. Or tips on what to try to fix the issue? Thank you in advance!

Hey i need help fixing my pc. So actually what happened is that i was trying to apply thermal paste to my cpu. Everything went fine until i tried booting it again after applying the paste it doesn't boot. fans does start and stay spining but there's no display and no light in keyboard or mouse. I unplugged my pc tried resetting bios by removing cmos battery for a bit tried booting same results as before then i removed my cpu cooler and found out i did spill some thermal paste on my motherboard and some on my cpu. I cleaned them both really good and made sure that cpu doesn't have any bad pins and same for the CPU socket everything looks clean tried booting it but same results fans spin no boot. Tried adjusting some components like GPU and Ram and connectors and still same results. Meanwhile i get answer to this, I have removed the cpu from the motherboard and let them both dry at a secure place. How do i fix it? I used HY510 paste and my motherboard is Gigabyte B450M S2H And cpu is Ryzen 5 3600 Any help is appreciated thanks!

I built a computer yesterday but it wouldn't start. I notoced that when turning on the red cpu fault light flashed and then the oragne RAM error light turned on and remained lit. Specs: CPU: intel i5-13500 GPU: MSI ventus 4060 OC black RAM: Corsair vengeance lpx 2x8gb 3600mhz ddr4 Motherboard: MSI PRO B760M-P DDR4 SSD: Kingston NV2 1tb PSU: beQuiet! 10 450W On the RAMs specifications on corairs vengeance, they meantipn support for several intel chipsets but the 700 series that the motherboard has is not meantioned. As far as I know this shouldn't be an issue, but is it possible this is the issue? All fans were running seamingly normally, even the gpu fans. However at boot the cpu fan starts out at max power, but then after a couple sevond normalizes. Also when switching to only using one of the ram sticks, with one it does the same and with the other one it starts the same, but the red cpu light keeps flashing. The rams were correctly installed in the right locations as per the manual. I'm quite lost, I suppose either it's a fault with the mb or the cpu, hopefully any of the other components haven't been damaged.

Hey, 3days ago my PC acting strange. After pc was shutdown for some time i couldnt start it reguraly when i press the power button on the case it did nothing. The only way to boot was to replug replug the psu and then i would start normally. Now yesterday my pc started to randomly shut down (like the power was being cut). this happend 3 times and then i opened my case to see i if there where any lose cables or bad connections. But my pc kept shutting down every 15 mins give or take. Out of precaution i didnt plug in my pc when i went to sleep. today it wont boot at all. -no debug led seen -case fans start -no debug bleep -GPU seems to receive no power (ligths of gpu not on nor the fans) This build worked normally for like 2 months and suddenly started showing these problems. Dear people of LTT forum, I recently bought all the components for my new pc, but after installing everything by the book I get two EZ debug lights. It shutdown on it self with in a minute, it now sometimes stays on for less then a minute other times its only post for seconds. Red: CPU not detected Yellow: DRAM not detected Here are alle the troubleshooting steps i have taken. The GPU was not connected when I tried any of these steps. 1. Reseat CPU and check if everything looks oké 2. Removed all RAM and tried both stick in all slots 3.Removed CMOS for 5 min 4.Installed latest BIOS, note: I have installed the bios 3 times 1 time with no components connected. Hi, Recently, I purchased an Asus Prime Z-790P D4 Asus motherboard, along with new memory sticks (Corsair CMH32GX4M2D3600C18 Vengeance RGB Pro SL 2x16GB DDR4-3600MHz CL18 1.35V) and a CPU (Intel i5-12400F) but unfortunately, the motherboard does not boot. When attempting to power on the computer, the power LED initially blinks rapidly, then transitions to a slightly slower blinking pattern, and finally, it blinks very slowly. The LED continues to blink at this slow pace until I shut down the computer. I uploaded this video on youtube to show the issue: View: https://youtube.com/shorts/FMNFBpoGUdA?feature=share According to Asus support faq (https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1047023/) Fast Blinking (When the power LED flashes fast (a cycle of 0.25s) means that No DRAM was detected Slow blinking (The power LED flashes slowly (a cycle of 2s) means that no VGA was detected Very slow blinking (The power LED flashes very slowly (a cycle of 8s) means that no Boot Device was detected Here is the list of all the solutions I have tried: Removed the second DRAM stick and attempted to turn on the computer with only one DRAM stick (in the B2 slot). Attempted to power on the computer without the graphics card, connecting the HDMI cable directly to the motherboard port. Unfortunately, my recently purchased CPU (Intel i5-12400F) does not have an integrated graphics card, so this did not work. Tried to clear the CMOS by jumping the pins with a screwdriver first and after getting no results I also removed the motherboard battery (for approximately 10 minutes). As I upgraded from an old system with a 4th-gen CPU and an older motherboard (Asus 497M-E), I also attempted to install a fresh copy of Windows 10 using a USB drive. However, the computer failed to boot, exhibiting no response as if the Windows 10 installation USB drive was not inserted. Downloaded the latest BIOS from Asus (https://www.asus.com/motherboards-c...-d4/helpdesk_bios/?model2Name=PRIME-Z790-P-D4), copied it to a formatted FAT32 USB drive, and used the BIOS rename tool. Despite these efforts, the power button continued to exhibit the same blinking pattern. The motherboard is still under warranty; however, the store from which I purchased it is known to have a lengthy process for returning under-warranty items, taking approximately 2-3 months based on online feedback, so, I would prefer to explore the warranty option only as a last resort.

For about 4 months my PC has been progressively failing to boot. When it fails it flashes cpu and dram light. I would usually try again or more recently take out cmos to clear it. But some days it takes 3 hours to turn on. Spec: Mobo- Gigabyte B650 aorus elite AX rev 1.0 (BIOS version F8b) CPU- AMD ryzen 7 7700x CPU cooler- noctua nh-d15 GPU- Asus rtx 3070ti RAM- G.skills Flare X5 ddr5 16gb 6000mhz 1.35v (total 32gb for 2 sticks) PSU- Powerspec 750w 80plus gold I've tested everything but my psu, cpu, mobo nothing was changing. I eventually tried some ram that was at 5800mhz 1.1v, but no luck so I mailed that back (Stupid on my part). So with everything seeming to point to my mobo I went and bought an Asus rog strix b650e-f and rebuilt my pc. On this second attempt I was even going to a clean windows 11 install but once again the dram light cam on. I've tried different ram configurations on both mobos nothing seems to give a regular boot. ATM I'm going to get some ram and new PSU just to say I've tried everything before assuming it's my cpu. Any help is appreciated as I'm trying to get this ready for starfield launch.

No POST after updating to windows 11 Decided to update to windows 11. When the update was finished installing, it prompted me to restart my PC, when I restarted it, it wouldn’t boot. I tried power cycling, clearing CMOS, flashing bios, nothing works. Have a green BOOT light on my motherboard. Before I updated the bios, the motherboard lights and light strips connected worked but after the bios flash, no lights or connected lights on the motherboard work besides the debug lights. Any Ideas on what I should do? I tried all the recommended things to do in this forum short of reseating the CPU and checking power cables since it worked fine before the update. (I followed the sticky post already) I was running a game fine, went to the bathroom, when I got back, no display but pc was still running. I tried to shutdown cleanly with a quuck press but it wouldn't. It shutdown by itself after a min or two gpu and ram rgb leds are ON, but the motherboard has no led on (like cpu, dram, vga etc) The fans don't even spins... Gigabyte B650 Aorus AX rev. 1.0 Ram G.skill Z5 (non neo) 2x16GB 4800MHz (6400 with xmp) gtx 1060 850W PSU I know these ram sticks are made for Intel, and they wouldn't boot when I tried to enable X.M.P, but the fans were at least spinning. I updated BIOS, did a CMOS clear by removing the battery and shorting the pins. All this withiut the PSU cablenjust in case, for a few mins. I tried to use the reset button, tried to short the power SW pins, in case the power button was broken. Maybe ram training is really slow, but I waiting +2mins, and the fans are nit spinning, but they should when ram training ? Does it look like a ram compatibility issue ? But it worked fine for +10 hours without X.M.P or gigabyte garbage mobo ? Please help

I have built a new PC, and have tried everything, that people have recommended. Good Morning, Recently I ran into an issue with my desktop PC of where the VGA light is on and is (now) preventing boot. 2 weeks ago I noticed a VGA light and about a 4-5 minute boot time. I figured, "Oh, it must be drivers" so I updated my drivers and still the same issue. I ignored it and lived with the 5 minute boot for about a week. I went out of town a few days later and when I returned the VGA light is always on, prevents boot and no screen output with NO ability to get to BIOS. I ventured on my own troubleshooting steps. - Drivers - Updates - BIOS Update - Removal of GPU, Cleaning, and Re-Installation - CMOS Reset - NVME Removal - Verified GPU works in another rig - Used a different known good boot drive When I removed my NVME drive I was able to enter BIOS with the GPU installed. I moved the NVME drive into another slot and was able to see a message saying "SAMSUNG 970EVO500GB NOT_FOUND" or similar, I put it back into its original slot and ran back into the issues. I got a Windows Error of "0x00000e" then it would enter a boot loop with the NVME installed in Slot 1 instead of Slot 0 I bought a new NVME SSD (970 EVO+ 1TB) that I verified works with an image of Win 10. Still nothing, I'm truly at a loss and looking for any help. When this accident happened I had just switched in and had been using the rx570s and was currently in the process of switching them out. I dont know if this problem is with the mobo or the graphics card but im pretty sure its the mobo as neither the dual rx570s or 1060 display anything from any ports.

First, my MoBo gave me a code 55. Then, I fixed it by waiting a day and then reseating the RAM. Now, after delidding my CPU, the MoBo is giving me a code 55. RAM works. Hello, I just finished my first build ever, took me a few hours, i did every step very carefully with the help of several videos. I tried to boot it for the first time, fans are spinning, ram and fans rgb is working, but that’s all. No display on the monitor, mouse and keyboard aren’t lighting and on my motherboard, the vga and the boot leds are white. My specs are: Radeon 5600x Nvidia 3060 ti FE Crucial p2 nvme Corsair vengeance 2x8 3600mhz Msi x570 tomahawk Corsair rm650x Corsair 4000x I have no idea what could be wrong. Fans of the GPU are spinning so i don’t think it has to do with power Also, yes I plugged a usb ready to install windows. And i flashed the motherboard And I tried the second pcie port I also tried with a single ram stick I tried both hdmi and dp I flashed again with the previous bios version, didn’t work any better Would really appreciate if someone could help, I was really excited about it working but I am running out of idea...

Hello! I spent the most of today trying to troubleshoot an issue with a new system i assembled this morning. This issue is when the gpu power cables are connected to the psu, the system wont boot. It sort of turns on and the psu fan spins half a revolution and the LED on the mobo flashes but then it instantly shuts off again. I have not yet assembled the rig into a case so i have been powering on the system using a screwdriver to the power button pins. I first got the issue this morning when i assembled the rig with everything in place and connected, expecting things to go smoothly like they have done in the past. However upon first boot attempt the issue first showed. I at first thought i had broken something, maybe even shorted a connection and possibly destroyed a component but i dont think that is the case. I tried all sorts of things: i checked connections, changed the power lead, changed the power outlet i was using, but nothing seemed to work. A friend recommended i tested the psu using the paperclip method so i did, and found that it turned on and ran no problem, following this i took out the motherboard and set it up on the box it came in and booted it up on there with no problems. It booted, fans were spinning and everything, however i did not plug in a display to test for video output. I then plugged in the gpu's and tried booting again and the same issue happened. I then tried with one gpu thinking it could have been too much power? (which was unlikely because the psu is 1200w) Sadly it still didnt boot. So i unplugged the gpu power connectors from the gpu but left them connected to the psu and the same issue. Later on i somehow thought i had fixed the problem as it booted with the gpu plugged in but then realised it was just plugged in by the pcie connector via the motherboard. So im beginning to think it might be a cable issue? I dont have any spares to test this theory however it happens on both the cards ive tested. I even began thinking there might be a particular order i need to plug things into the back of psu as i was willing to try anything at this point. Any kind of help or advice would be massively appreciated! Hello, OS - Windows 10 Age of system (hardware) - Built in 2015 CPU model - AMD Athlon™ 760K Video Card model - Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 390 OC Motherboard - MSI A88X-G45 Gaming RAM - 2x4GB DDR3 AMD Memory Power Supply - was -> EVGA 850W P2 now -> Corsair 650W tl:dr: PC won't cold boot, pressing the power button once causes a blink of fans & any leds, holding power causes a spin up spin down cycle & pulsating leds, boots after power held for 5+ minutes + restart via onboard mobo button. Operates normally once booted. I first encountered this problem 2 weeks ago after noticing that my computer wasn't powering on after shutting it down the night before as I normally do. Looking inside the case, the onboard power button was on (Green LED) this would stay on throughout unless I held the power button after taking out the plug to fully discharge the computer. I noticed the led light in the power button would light up, the case fans would spin and the cpu would also spin as long as I was holding down the power button. However, it was more of a constant speeding up and slowing down. It was almost acting like the initial current supplied from pressing the power button wasn't sufficient to cause the process of a normal boot up. My motherboard has an onboard power button and the results were the same as pressing the power button on the case. I used the screwdriver jumpstart (method?) just to exhaust every option. Suspecting it was the power supply (850W evga plat ) I swapped it out for one I had in another system that was running fine. When installing the power supply I looked around the computer, nothing was out of place (no missing screws, nothing touching the motherboard, bent pins etc). Went to boot and it turned on via the case power button first time no issues (no holding down of the power button). Thinking this was just a fluke I turned it off again to be met with the same problem as before. Next, swapped the RAM around into 2-4 slots then just one stick then back to 1-2 all combinations provided no difference. I then took out the CMOS battery for approx. 1 min then placed it back in, no difference. I then held the power case button down for 5 minutes, this resulting in the case fans spinning up and slowing down in a cycle but never "fully stopping" ( if that makes sense, as if it were pulsing- in fact the led fan would brighten and dim in sync with the fans pulsing) until I heard a noticeable increase in the fan speed (no mobo beeps) I let go and saw the motherboard debug leds showed numbers from 30-37. I left it in this state for around 40 minutes, with the debug led going between 36-37. Pressing the onboard "Reset" button caused the PC to stay on with the fans still running normally and then booted into windows. I'm now left scratching my head as to what the cause is, I've done a Malwarebytes scan and there are no detected issues. No issues using the internet, plugging in and out USB devices playing games etc but I know that shutting it down will cause the same issue again. I know this was long and If you need clarification let me know. Thanks, Sorry for the long post!

i've just changed motherboard and cpu from gigabyte and a 4790k to msi z490 and a 10700k. The system boots into the bios fine and can detect both my 1000gb hard drive and my 1000gb 970 evo. However in the boot priorities it gives me no option to boot from my m.2 drive. The bios is fully updated.
