I just recently bought a R7 7700X and Aorus B650 Elite AX to build my new pc. Finished it last night and everything looked good and ran Prime95 as a stress test through the night (~7 hrs). Woke up and everything was still running and temps were fine. I ended the test and left the PC on. When I came back to it an hour later, there was no longer a video output and the fans were running full speed. The power button was not turning off the PC so I flipped the PSU switch and then rebooted the PC. Now there is no post to the screen at all (not even BIOS logo), and the CPU LED is permanently on with fans running full tilt. I checked the Aorus manual for this but all it mentions is that this specifies an issue with the CPU. Things I've tried: - Re-seating the CPU - Upgrading/Downgrading the BIOS through QFlash - Re-plugging the motherboard 24pin and CPU 8pin cables - Reset CMOS - Leaving the PC on for 30+ minutes Things I've noticed: - The leds flash in this order: DRAM (~5 seconds), CPU (infinite) - Case power button turns on the system, but does not turn off no matter how long I press it Here are the specs (no GPU, running integrated graphics): - R7 7700X - Noctua NH-D15 - 4x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5600MHz (EXPO on) - 1TB M.2 SSD - Corsair 850W PSU

Last time I use my two days ago it was working fine. I just tried to power it up and I got nothing. I tried replugging the psu and a different outlet but all I get is a split second of fan spin. Tried clear cmos on this frankly shitty implementation of it mother board; ASRock x670e Legend; and still nothing. Build is only a couple months old with all new parts and a 1000w psu powering a RTX 4080 and ryzen 5 7600x IMG_0279.MOV

I just finished building my pc and it won't boot. When it turns on the cpu debug led turns on for a couple seconds but goes away, and does the same thing when I turn it off. I tried clearing the cmos, reseating the ram and cpu, and booting it out of the case. The cpu gpu and ram are from my other system and I just migrated them over. My specs are Ryzen 3 1200 1650 Super Msi b350 gaming plus 4x4 viper blackout 3000mhz 850watt abkoncore 80plus gold Corsair h60 120mm

Hey guys, I hope someone sees this :) So today my pc just shut down and doesn't turn on again. So naturally I took it out of the case and built it outside. I tried to boot again, but still nothing. At first I thought it was the PSU but I jump-started it and it was fine. Then I got the idea to jump-start it while the 24pin was plugged in, I thought maybe it's like jumpstarting a car. Anways, the cpu fan started spinning at max speed, so I took it off to see if the cpu is overheating. It was ice cold, which makes me think that it's not getting any power. But the chipset heatsink was literally like 1000000 degrees. I really don't know want to do at this point. I think that the chipset is the problem. The Gigabyte support needs like 3-7 days to contact me back so I hope someone here knows how to fix this :) I also tried taking ram out, gpu too. components: i7 6700T Gigabyte H110M-S2H XFX RX 570 8GB 16 GB G.Skill Aegis

Hey everyone, started a new building and I am having a weird issue. My PC will boot after a fresh install of windows however, when I try to shut down and turn it back on, it gets stuck at the motherboard logo screen. If I restart instead of shutting down it reboots no problem. Also, putting the computer to sleep has no issues and wakes up fine. This issue has been persistent. I got the PC to boot multiple times with no problem by following all the basic steps: making sure everything is connected, removing CMOS battery, reseating ram and so on. The issue has resurfaced after I tried to add my used RTX 1080. I repeated the steps that helped before to no avail. I got SUPER frustrated and got a new mother board today and still getting stuck in the same spot. I got new RAM, removed the GPU and cant get anything to work. Im desperate. Would love some help! Incase it matters I have: - Ryzen 5 5600G -WD Black 500Gb SSD -SeaGate Barracuda 2TB -MSI B550-A Pro or MSI B550 Gaming Pro -G.Skill Trident Neo 32BG DDr4 4000 -EVGA 750 BQ -Noctua NH-U125 Redux Would REALLY really love some help!

Full build: MSI MPG X570 Pro Carbon Wifi AMD Ryzen 5 3600 16GB G.Skill Trident Z Cl16 Asus GTX Strix 1080 Intel 660p 512 Kraken 52X AIO EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G3 80+ Gold I have a year old MSI MPG X570 Pro Carbon Wifi mother board on my second PC that I am trying to sell. I swapped some better parts from it to my main rig. The part being mobo it meant that I had to tear down two desktops and put them together again in new configurations. My main PC worked like a charm, but when I tried week later boot the one when I found a buyer I ran in to problems. I had the computer ready (I didn't post it on a box I know...) I flipped the switch and pushed powerbutton and... nothing. All the lights and leds (memory, GPU, Kraken) lit up, but no boot screen or anything. I had latest bios and WIN10 USB on a computer. There was a disturbing stench of burning electronics... Power button was unresponsive and I flipped the PSU switch. EZ debug LEDs were dark After this nothing happened ever again. Only one white led on GTX1080 strix. MoBo is dark. Memory is dark. Kraken is dark. My mood is dark. After some Googling I figured that most likely problems would be with PSU or MoBo. So what I have tried sofar: Cmos reset Tried flashing bios (I didn't get to bios) Re-socket CPU Another PSU (same modular cords, different PSU) Tried to post on a box without GPU (yeah... getting desperate here...) Re-socketed again and bent one pin a little... Getting desperate, time to ask for a help... So do you guys in the Internet think that the MoBo is toast or what? Any help is appreciated. Cheers

Hi I have a NVIDIA GTX 780 founders, when I connect it up to my system, the fans spin up and it starts to get very loud and there is no sign of booting on the screen. I tried the Displayport, HDMI, and the DVI and nothing shows up on the monitor. Is it a bois problem or the hardware? CPU:i7-4790 MOBO: ASUS H87M-E PSU: Thermaltake 700W

While gaming I hit my desk kinda hard because of a death and it make my computer rock a little. Not much considering the case I have is kinda top heavy and it only went back a fourth maybe 3 or 4 times. Whatever it was though was enough and it shut off right away. Now it turns on and the fans will spin up but there is no display output. Also it seems like there's a buzz now coming from the motherboard. It sounds kinda like graphics card coil whine but it's a steady sound. Things I've tried: - Clearing the CMOS like a dozen times. Basically every time I've tired something I'll clear the CMOS after it didn't work. - Booting with no graphics card and the monitor plugged into Mobo - Booting with one ram stick, then the other, then trying them in the other slots and finally no ram - Reseating CPU The same issue happened before, where I'd get the fans to spin and the LEDs to light up but no display siginal, after Riot's Valorant anti cheat Vanguard blocked my CPU temp monitoring software driver which made my PC overheat and crash. I waited a couple of hours and it didn't cool down didn't post after a CMOS clear so I went to bed and when I went back to it the next morning it booted totally fine. Specs: ASUS Strix z370-i 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200MHz 8700k has been delided Asus Strix GTX1070 Thanks for any suggestions cuz I'm kinda lost right now. I think this may be a dying Mobo which would stink but I don't have anything else to try really.

Hi guys, I helped my friend install a new GPU and PSU a few days ago. Tested it out everything turned on and played a game for 20 minutes to make sure all was in working order. The next day he told me it didn't turn on but then found a tip on the Internet saying to remove the CMOS battery for 10 seconds then put it back in and try again. This did work and he was playing games on it yesterday all day but when he tried to turn it on again this morning it was not powering up again. Could anyone please help and maybe give me an indication where to start with this I'm not extremely technical but I have built PCs before and never ran into this problem. SYSTEM: -Intel core i5-9600k -16gb corsair vengeance memory -Nvidia RTX 2070 super -Seasonic core 650w power supply -MSI Z390-A PRO motherboard Thanks in advance.

Hey all - first time builder. My components did not all come at once so I was essentially putting together what I could. I was able to boot it and check and see if everything ran fine without my storage which came today. I installed the m.2 SSD this morning and was going through the different BIOS menu's and the PC shut down. I turned off the PSU, turned it back on and the motherboard lights up as it should, however when I hit the power button the PC immediately shuts down, but the motherboard stays lit up. I am wondering if my PSU doesn't have enough wattage or a possible short. Specs are listed below: i3 9100F Asrock B365M Phantom Gaming 4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (8gbx2) RX570 WD Blue 550 250gb WD Blue 550 1T Corsair CX450M PSU Kraken X53 CPU Cooler Edit 1: I unplugged the PSU, removed and reinstalled my RAM, took out and reinstalled the CMOS battery and had the same result. Edit 2: I tried the paper clip test and the PSU fan turned on, so the PSU is fine.

Details: During a thunderstorm, my PC was left unattended and plugged into the wall.Unfortunately while I was sleeping there were major power surges and I have no stabilizer or UPS. After the rain stopped there was a power outage for two days and my PC was not turned on, and after two days when the power finally came back I tried to boot up my PC but it kept BSOD. I tried removing my SSD I tried removing my HDD; I tried to boot using only a USB stick with Linux mint on it but still it kept not booting up. Even after removing the CPU from its socket cleaning up my PC and then re inserting the CPU it kept on showing the same error. I've already tested the hard drives and my power supply, but the only things left untested are the motherboard and the CPU. Any suggestions on what I could do? Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone! This is my first post so please be gentle. So I was playing some (bout 2h) Civ VI with a friend and everything went nice and smoothly. We stopped and I left my pc hanging on the desktop for about 2 minutes while I went and got some coffee. I came back to my pc turned off and not starting up anymore with the power button. I checked the power cables and removed the side panel. After pressing the power button I saw mobo lighting up for second before powering off again and some smoke rising from my gpu. I quickly turned psu off and unplugged the cables from the wall. Later I took the system to a local shop where they checked that only the gpu is toasted. This is okay for me, that was the oldest part in my system but the thing is I updated my psu a couple of months ago and during the switch I bricked my ssd. I thought it was because I used the old psus cable for the ssd's power (xfx 650w xxx Edition or something like that) and the new corsair psu gave it too much juice or something. Is It possible my new psu is bad and breaking my other parts or are these just weird coincidences? My system: Win 10 home Edition 64-bit Asus b450-f gaming Ryzen 5 3600 (noctua nh-d15) Corsair vengeance 16gb 3200mhz ddr4 Msi gtx 1070 gaming x (dead) Corsair rm650x psu (2018 Edition) Adata xpg gammix s11 (boot drive) Kingston 960gb ssd (storage) Fractal r5 with 3x140mm fans

Hello, before I tell you my specs, I'll tell you some backstory. A month or 2 ago my computer froze and It wasn't responding to anything and the HDD LED was not on. Even the power button didn't work so I had to pull out the cable and put it back in. This kept happening sometimes between the time period until yesterday my PC froze twice and the second time I tried booted it up, It didn't boot up and there was only a loud fan and no HDD LED. I've even tried replacing the RAM modules. Win10 64bit 3Gig ddr3 ram Core 2 duo E8400 3ghz
