Hi folks, First post so apologies for any faux pas! I bought a Z440 as an upgrade platform for a sweet £69 gaming PC, however... I have added some DDR4 ECC RAM into slot 1 and added my RX 580 (confirmed working) into it as no on board graphics. When I try to boot I get the following message: It sticks here and doesn't move any further, no additional messages etc. It won't let me into the BIOS to change anything as it goes to this screen and is non-responsive. There is some fan spin on power up, but they stop when it gets to this screen. No beep codes, it just gets to the message and dies. I have tried disconnecting all USBs (as apparently that can help), no effect. I have tried Ctrl + S to get into the menu on this screen, no effect. Grateful for any help, have I bought a dud?!?!

Hey all! First time posting here me know if I missed anything. TLDR: No post. Asus b450i gaming motherboard White VGA LED + Green LED Specs: - Windows 11 pro 64 bit - PC case: Phanteks evolv Shift - Motherboard: Asus B450 -I Gaming (not sure but latest bios install was BIOS 4602) - CPU: Ryzen 2700x - Ram: 2x 16gb Kingston hyper x 3200 mhz 32gb - Graphics card: AMD Vega 64 Liquid cool. - PSU: Corsair 750watt Problem: PC started up with RGB firmware update. Never seen this before and seemed to take some time. I googled it and found out that people said it could take 45 min, some took over 8h, some people just turned off their PC and worked after, mine took 2+ hours and continued to be on the same screen. Despite the warning I turned the PC off as I had to work that day with my pc from home. Ever since then I am having boot issues, as the warning suggested. I once was able to post into that American Megatrends boot window with the message I had to reset bios for it to boot but I did not have a keyboard attached as I was trying multiple things to repair this problem. Ever since then It does not boot / post. All the motherboard is showing is the white VGA LED but after some time the green LED turns on too at the same time as the white LED Things that do work: All the LEDs on my motherboard are working, also the RGB on the side of the motherboard. My keyboard is turning on its RGB lights. Fans are spinning and the lights on the graphics card are on as well. Things I have tried: Starting the PC without GPU Starting the GPU without GPU and then with GPU Reseating Ram One Ram stick. Ram stick in different slot. No USBs attaced. Different HDMI Cables. Tho they are working as I am using them on my older machine to work. Clear Cmos pins. Clear Cmos with battery. had it out for 3+ hours. I feel I have the motherboard in some update state where it does not know what to do any more. I am running out of options I feel and I am unsure what to do I hope I have not bricked my board! PS: I have updated bios for updating to windows 11 literally a week ago for the security enhancements. It was working perfectly fine before the RGB update. Hey guys I'm sure there's ppl out there having the same issue, I did read a lot of topics and tried solutions that was given but none worked... First let me give you my specs Ryzen 5900x Noctua nhd15 Kfa2 GeForce GTX 1060 OC Aorus b550 pro v2 RM 750x 8x4 lpx 3200mhz ram (code: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16) 1x SSHD 7200RPM Seagate ironwolf 1x m2 sata samsung Evo Now here's the story, I bought new parts about a week or so (cpu, mobo and cooler) everything worked fine, except that I had to update the BIOS. And yesterday I tried to enable xmp which worked too. But the dumb guy I am, I tried a setting for no reason I think it was called ram multiplayer or something like that, i know it was the multiplayer corresponding to the MHz of the ram so, 32 was the default, I put 36...and the end. No post, no BIOS nothing. I got the dram light on Spinning fans The GPU fans starts spinning for a second or so then stop And when I've noticed that when I press the restart button the led for cpu alert turns on rather than the dram one, but then quickly go back to dram light when the restart button is released. I tried to switch ram modules, put only one in the A2 slot CMOS clear + making contact to the 2 pins clear CMOS things I unplugged my GPU, cpu and ram then tried a q flash BIOS, which it kinda did I guess since the light was flashing then stop flashing but after that the pc tries to reboot after that even without components in it except my drives I kept audio, USB satas and other things plugged in as I wouldn't see those giving me a problem.

So, I had my pc working without any problems for the last 1 year. Yesterday when I woke up and tried to boot it gave me the VGA debug light and didn't want to boot up, so I cleared the CMOS and booted up without problem then went back to bios to set my XMP settings which I then booted without problems. But later that day the PC didn't want to wake up from sleep so I used the power button to kill it then BAM! the VGA debug light again. This time clearing the CMOS didn't work. Last thing I did before the VGA light was updating my GPU to latest driver(I don't know the version number but it was the one for Minecraft RTX) via geforce experience but I booted up without problem after the update anyways. Right now, I cant even get to BIOS to reflash it. Always stuck on aorus logo with VGA debug light, keyboard works(as in I can change the state of numlock) but will not get me to BIOS. I will list what I have done to troubleshoot this below, I'm stuck pls send help. Changed GPU power cables. Attached a buzzer, gives single beep as in successful POST everytime. Reseated GPU. Tried different pci slot. Tried a different GPU (gtx 560) Tried with single RAM module, tried different RAM slots. Tried with no storage attached.(This got me to BIOS once but didn't boot after also didn't get me to BIOS later when I tried to do the same) Checked the motherboard to see if there is shorts somewhere, doesn't seems like it but I didn't remove it from the case. CPU: Ryzen 2700X GPU: Asus ROG 8GB Advanced RTX 2070 Motherboard: Aorus X470 Ultimate BIOS VER: F30 if I remember correctly RAM: Corsair vengeance rgb 32gb 3200 MHz CL16 PSU: Corsair AX860 M.2: Samsung 970 PRO 512gb I don't know what to do at this point, I don't have any other compatible PSU or MB to test on and nothing I have done changed the results. -
Hi, So I built a new pc, it consists of a ryzen 3900x, geforce rtx 2070 super, Asus x570 plus (wifi) motherboard and a Corsair 650w gold PSU. The cooler is a dark pro 4, ram is 16gb, ssd 1tb and hdd 2 tb. I've checked that everything is is connected correctly and so on. Everything powers up, there's a signal and only thing that shows up is the tuf gaming screen, along with click f2 and del for the bios. The USB connections all work, as the keyboard lights up, phone charges, etc. But when I click f2 and del, as well as any other key, it does nothing, so I'm stuck in that screen. I'm really confused and would love any insight into what I have to correct and look at, as it isn't something that I can find a solution to online. As the PSU is fine, the graphics card works and I'm sure the CPU and motherboard is fine as everything powers up and operates. Just can't get into the bios, since keyboard doesn't work and can't download any OS due to the issue. Sorry about the hideous pics, the cable management has been terrible.

I've obviously mentioned the problem in my last post, but I've tried every keyboard, from a wired, wireless and ps/2. So the power comes on, no beeps, everything is working, including the GPU, fans and the tuf gaming screen comes up with click f2 or del for UEFI Bios. But, the keyboard comes on right at the start, but caps lock or num lock lights won't come on, so I think there's an issue with the motherboard ports. The one thing I know I had to fix in was the USB 3.0 by the power switch, which charges my phone fine. Obviously it's a newly built PC, so there is no OS and it's stuck on the TUF screen. What do I do to fix this? There were no connectors/wires for the ports and so on around the IO shield. The motherboard is a Asus X570 Plus (Wifi), CPU Ryzen 3900x, GPU 2070 super with a Corsair 650w unit. So, everything powers on, but the USB ports power stuff up at the start, but don't seem to be working, as no matter how many times I press del or f2, no response.

Hello, I just got a new ryzen cpu and mobo with ram. I got the LPX corsair ram 2x8gb 3000mhz, msi xpower titanium, 1700x. At first i thought it was the ram or mobo i decided to switch them and got my self a new board and ram but im still having the same issue , everything turns on fans spin including the CPU fan / radiator fans and also the gpu fans also turn on , but i get no signal on my display i tried different monitors and cords still same issue. i triple checked all my power cords and plugs , and even strip the system down several times still same issue. The cpus seems to be perfect all pins and also the boards socket looks perfect . Maybe i got a dead cpu ? oh btw the error code the board gives is 00 , according to the manual 00 is cpu temp/booting window . someone help plz

ASUS B150M-PLUS D3 and Intel Pentium G4560 Hello, my system powers on but it refuses to enter bios and my screen simply doesn't find any input. i tried different ram and made sure all power cables are connected. I checked http://processormatch.intel.com/MotherBoards/CompatibleBoards And actually didn't find it there...Are they not compatible and is this why i can't get in to bios eventhough the system powers on? Is the solution to return it for a compatible motherboard?

I'm trying to repair my friend's PC but every time I start it, it goes in an infinite restart cycle. It keeps restarting without showing any BIOS splash screen. Every hardware was working earlier but after restarting the PC, this happened. I can't figure out what is the problem. System specification. Hi! It's not that of a problem more like concern. Boots into Windows just fine, everything within Windows is fine, everything works perfectly BUT While booting, during POST, there is no video output. This doesn't let me get into BIOS. Also sometimes it just doesn't boot at all. Then after a couple of restarts, boots into Windows just like nothing happened, without video on POST again. Tried booting without external GPU, HDMI plugged into motherboard - same result. No video, then BOOM - Windows. Tried to spam DEL while booting - doesn't boot anywhere. Disassembled and reassembled the whole system into other case (without pcie riser pcb), problem remains. Don't know BIOS version HALP!!11! Windows 10 64 bit Intel Core i5-6600k, stock frequencies Asrock z170m-itx/ac (don't judge me i was desperate :D) 2x8Gb DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX 1xSSD Samsung 850 Evo 250Gb 2xHDD 1Tb Zotac GTX 980 AMP!, connected via HDMI Silverstone SX500-LG 500W Video of Booting the System:

So I build my first custom rig and everything went fine. BIOS showed up and everything seemed normal. But after I tried installing Windows from an USB I had set up a few minutes before I just got a black screen with a few dots in it(typical windows loading screen). I needed to leave my PC alone for some time and after I came back the Screen was black and wouldn't show anything. Also the Power-button couldn't power it of. Because the CPU cooler was pretty hot I decided to turn of the PC via PSU. After that I was abled to turn it on(Lights on the mainboard are on, fans are lighting up and CPU fan is spinning) but the screen was still black and I couldn't power it down via the Power button. In addition the USB and HDMI ports seem to be dead, if I connect my keyboard it won't light up like it did before. I tried some things like removing the GPU and clearing my CMOS but I wasn't abled to start it again. Other special things: My main four fans are currently not working(Delivered with the TG5 RGB, the replacement is coming in a few days, I can't connect them to my Motherboard), the CPU Power supply might not work(the only one I haven't tested), I haven't checked the Error code from the mainboard. Anybody got an idea? I just built a system. At this point, I have no dedicated GPU. Only 8700k integrated. System: MBO: ASrock z370 Killer SLI CPU: 8700k RAM: 2 x GSkill Trident Z, PC-28800, 16 GB, F4-3600C17D-16GTZSW, DDR4 3600MHz, kit 2x8GB (32 GB DDR 4 total) - note that this model number is not listed on qvl memory support list, as it is a kit GPU: integrated, no external SSD: HyperX Fury 120 HDD: WD 1T Blue CPU cooler: BeQuiet Pure Rock The situation: When I press POWER all the fans spin, I can hear the HDD spin up, there is a constant green light under the Intel z370 labeled heatsink, but there is no post screen, and both the DVI and the HDMI outputs on motherboard rear panel give no signal. What I tried so far: 1. rechecked all the cables (including the motherboard power, CPU power...) 2. reset cmos 3. tried unplugging the power cord, and plugging it back in while holding the power Any ideas?

Hello I recently got this motherboard+cpu from a friend, he said that it worked before, however he had it laying around for quite a while. When ever I try to boot, I just get 1 constant white underscore. With a speaker connected I get 1 short beep (No repeats). According to the internet, this means having plugged in a VGA cable but no keyboard, if i have a keyboard plugged in I get the same result. My mouse does not get power either(Doesn't light up) Things I have tried and didn't work: 4 different PSU's Different monitor Different displayoutputs (there is both HDMI, DVI and VGA) Tried all same result. (On different monitors) Different GPU's (2 gpu's and the IGPU) Tried with and without HDD Tried take one ramstick out. Also tried switching them. (Also tried a totally different ram stick (still DDR3)) (Thanks for the advice YoFavRussian) Booting with and without mouse/keyboard No ram (No output, at all, not even an underscore) Taking out the battery Tried to use "Clear RTC RAM (3-pin CLRTC)" jumper (Thanks for the advice YoFavRussian) I have a too many pictures, so I've uploaded them to Imgur. Hi! My ASUS X370 Prime Pro wont boot after bios update. Here is the long story: I tried to update the bios to the latest version. When the bios update completed, the system rebooted, but it did not boot into bios ever again. I found a guy in the local crags list who writes bios chips and he succesfully updated the bios chip to the latest version: 5008. He even read back the bios content and everything was okay, but the board still does not boot. I have a speaker installed, but it does not beep. The board powers up, the RGB wire lites up, CPU and GPU fans spin up but there is no post. The 2200G and the ram works in an MSI B450i (friend brought over). What i tried: -2 different ram kits, swap them around -Power on without ram -2 different PSUs (i know they work), bot 4 and 8 pin CPU headers -On board HDMi, Display Port video outs -HDMI, VGA, DVI from a HD6770 that i had on the shelf -Cry myself to sleep -Cmos reset with the headers -Disconnect every cable expect from the power cables -Cleaned sockets with compressed air -Reseated CPU like 3-4 times There is no sign of any physical damage or short circuit. After failed attempt to overclock my pc shutted down and stopped showing anything on display. I tries to clear bios battery. Tried with jumper to clear cmos. Nothink. Any help guys? Mb: gigabyte x99 ultra gaming Cpu: i7 5820k Ram l: corsair low profile 2400 mhz 2x8gb Gpu: msi 1070 Psu: corsair vs650w I knownpower supply is weak for the overclock.

Hi everyone, my PC was working without issues for years, and suddenly today when I turned it on, it kept rebooting every 5 seconds, without entering the BIOS, and with all the fans spinning. I opened it and I saw that the DRAM_LED on the motherboard is red, so I tried using just one ram stick and changing the place of the sticks, with no luck. I did a clear CMOS on the motherboard with no changes in the behaviour of the PC. Components: Intel i7 4790 Asus Z97-A DDR3 G.Skill Ares 1600 Mhz 16 Gb (4x4 gb) Radeon R9 270x 2Gb Thermaltake 750 W Samsung sata ssd Windows 10 Please help me, and thanks in advance for the answers. -
I have got a 3-5 years old Lenovo laptop, wanted to install windows 10 so create a bootable pendrive and tried to format just C drive and install windows, but after formating C drive in boot it showed that windows cannot be installed in this partition as the partitions are MBR, so i just google and got the result that I need to convert the paritions, I took backup (using command prompt) to external drive formated the hard drive using windows pendrive with these commands diskpart list disk select disk 1 clean convert gpt exit After completion of these commands my system does not detect hard disk not even bootable removable drive (windows 10) I tried almost every possible way but it doesn't work, I tried changing the Boot from Legacy to UEFI and vice versa but now somehow I am not able to boot into bios too!! when I try to turn on the laptop it just shows the "windows boot manager" with the message "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause." status 0xc0000225 info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. Can't do any of these stuffs: boot into bootable pendrive boot into bios menu Urgently help required. -
I bought the Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming Motherboard with the Ryzen 7 2700x a few days ago. I put the PC together and until now everything worked more or less. Except for this problem I have posted here: Today I tried one last time fixing the usb 2.0 problem by installing all software that came with the motherboards installation cd. There also was a software on this cd called something like Gigabyte tools of which I foolishly installed all. After the required reboot my pc wouldn't boot at all anymore. I even disconnected all drives from the motherboard with no luck. I couldn't even get into the bios anymore. When I start the PC it boots up around 3 times always showing an cpu red light and after that it boots again with an vga red light. I disconnected the pc from the power outlet, waited for 20 min, turned it on and suddenly t works again. Does anybody know what could cause such a problem? Is the motherboard defect? Afternoon, So as the title says with intel optane installed and configured and with bios settings changed to the following... MSI M7 z70x bios - . Reset CMOS so everything default apart from.. . Windows 10 whql enabled . Intel optane genie enabled . Ahci/raid mode raid . Fastboot enabled. MSI disabled With these settings the pc boots into windows just fine, but completely skips posting process. the screen shows no signal once turned on and then windows login screen appears.. which is very annoying as i cannot then change bios settings and have to clear CMOS if i want to do anything. OH also do i need optane genie on? as all i'm using the drive for is to speed up my secondary HDD Thanks in advance -
Turned on my new PC for the first time, got stuck on "ASRock," so I decided to unplug my windows usb and reboot/hit Del. Forced restart, went to the BIOS, moved the mouse, and then froze. Had to force reboot the PC, but it does not go to BIOS now. The fan spins up and then spins down, and then spins back up and spins down, over and over. I rechecked all of my PSU connections, replugged in everything, even reseated the CPU and RAM. Same issue. I noticed the rate in which the fan spins up and down is based on which slot the RAM is in. 1st slot, a few seconds in between each rev. 2nd slot, much faster time in between revs. I’m using an ASRock – B250 Pro4 ATX mobo, a Celeron G3930, and G.Skill Aegis 8GB. Any help is appreciated, I think it’s odd that I made it to the bios, but now I can’t even do that. Thank you ! mobo not posting.MOV

Hi, I recently got a blue screen and since the have not been able to boot into windows. It happen when I was just playing some osu! and nothing else really. I tried just pulling out the power chord and pressing the power button a few times and then plugging the power chord back in, and i was once again met with a black screen. I plugged out the power chord again and removed GPU and the motherboard battery and put everything together and booted the pc up again. This time i got into the bios but as soon as i left the bios to try and boot into windows i just got a blackscreen again. What do I do? Hi i just built a pc and when i try to start upp The pc The cpu fan is rusning and chassi fans but The pc wont post i have connected The pc through The on board grpahics so its connected to The motherboard but it still wont post and when i took a look on The manual and looked for The debugging leds it says that i have problems with my dimm slits and Ive changed rammsticks and ive only been using The first dimm slot i egen tried by filling in both dimmslots but still no post

Hi all of a sudden when I restarted my pc it wouldn't boot debug led showing 00 so I booted in bios b and it worked fine. I downloaded latest bios on USB drive. Booted in bios b and entered m flash to update bios a. After entering m flash I flip dual bios switch to bios a and started the update. Now when I boot with bios a I get a code 0d and on bios b it's 3b do basically now non of the bios work and I can't use my pc. Please help. I tried clearing cmos and also when in bios a both bios a and bios b indicator led are on. I have a msi xpower gaming titanium edition motherboard

Hey guys, I have a Samsung NP 300E5E which displays error that all boot options Are tried, press F4 key to recover with factory image recovery using RECOVERY or any other key for next boot loop iteration. The problem is that my CD disk tray isn't functioning and I don't have the reinstall cd ( don't remember if it was provided) I tried all possible buttons that I could think of but it didn't let me boot into bios. It did let me boot once and by mistake I switched boot into CMS rather that UEFI OS I think its a drive failure. Can I do something or I just need to partition format on other computer? sorry for the typos I'm using iPad now.

**I feel I should start off by saying this is my first build, so no solution is too simple haha. Also I will try to include everything I think you need but if I miss something just let me know any help is greatly appreciated** The issue: Turn it on and everything seems to get power, fans run up, LED’s on the motherboard, graphics card and CPU cooler light up, monitor and keyboard both get power. However, the monitor says “VGA NO INPUT” and the DRAM light on my motherboard is on. Press the MEMOK button and seems to cycle through some different settings but at the end there is no change. What I’ve tried: 1st I cycled through the different input selections on the monitor, 2nd I tried and HDMI cable and tried plugging it into different spots, 3rd removed my graphics card, 4th moved RAM from DIMM’s A2/B2 to A1/B1, 5th I tried each of the RAM by itself, 6th removed SSD and HDD, I also cycled power, reseated RAM, disconnected and reconnected everything and pressed MEMOK button multiple times. I’ve check connections everything seems to be correct, but again I am new. The build: Intel Core i5-6600k 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor Cooler Master Nepton 240M 76.0 CFM liquid CPU cooler ASUS Sabertooth Z170S ATX LGA1151 Motherboard Crucial Ballistix Sport LT DDR4-2400 16GB(2x8GB) 1.2V RAM Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5 SSD Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5 7200RPM HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Graphics Card EVGA SuperNOVA 750W (ATX12V/EPS12V)
