When trying to stream on Discord audio goes away pc becomes slow and unresponsive I've tried doing any troubleshooting steps that I could to no avail. I've recently upgraded from a rx 6600 xt to a RTX 4070 With the RX 6600 XT I never had this issue. Everything works fine I can stream with obs I can do everything but stream on discord. I am suspecting the PSU I have a Gigabyte P750GM 750 W 80+ Gold my current pc specs here https://pcpartpicker.com/user/BassOnWeb/saved/#view=8ZNLyc I didn't think that it would be such a hassle, I even reinstalled the Windows many times, I haven't tried Windows 10 though. If you have any idea, please I am at the end of my ropes.

This is really driving me nuts. It comes and goes. It could happen totally randomly or when I click on a new video. It seems after a driver update it will stop. Then it can come back with the next update. Currently in an on cycle and ready to smash my computer. x670e 7950x 4080 oc 64 @ 6400 All latest drivers and bios installed. Thoughts?

In certain games, enabling both HDR and Dolby Atmos together results in no audio, and persists until reboot. I've only noticed this in The Crew: Motorfest and Remnant II, most other games work fine (i.e. Forza Horizon 5). Disabling HDR or Dolby Atmos prevents this from happening. I also have occasional short audio dropout in all games, but this seems to be a known issue with Nvidia GPUs. Useful specs: - GPU: RTX 3080, latest drivers - Display (TV): Samsung S95C @4K 144Hz 10bit HDR (Lowering the refresh rate to reduce bandwidth doesn't help) - Audio: Samsung Q930C (HDMI eARC soundbar + wireless sub + 2 satellite speakers) My PC is connected to the TV via an HDMI 2.1 cable, and the soundbar is connected to the TV via HDMI eARC. Any help would be appreciated!

Soon after I installed the newest nvidia driver, (536.99,) I started losing audio. After looking into it, I think that's just coincidence as I can't find any relating literature linking the issue to this process. I'm still putting it out there in case maybe someone else has had a connection. Anyway, I keep losing my audio. It drops out at times with no rhyme or reason. It could last 5 hours or could last 5 mins. It could last 5 seconds. I can't make any sense of it. At first, I was restarting my pc entirely after looking into settings and not finding anything wrong. After a couple times of doing that, I looked into processes. I tried to restart the windows audio device graph isolation process. The only option was to end the task. It seems that effectively just restarts it as it doesn't disappear at all, and the audio comes back. Does anyone have a solution for this? It's driving me nuts.

Just built my first PC and all seems to be working apart from the sound when in Chrome. I've double checked that I've updated all the drivers and I've tried restarting multiple times. I've also cleared Chrome cache and a few other things but I always get the same results. After turning on YouTube or Spotify will play the first thing I tell it to, but then if I load another video or song it is silent. The little audio symbol will still appear in the tab as if it is playing sound and it isn't muted. I have no idea what is causing it and the sound works perfectly on Microsoft Edge so I'm fairly sure it's Chrome although I've fiddled around with the sound settings and volume mixer as well and nothing seems to work. I'm pretty new to all of this so any sort of help would be awesome. Thanks. I recently bought the M50x from Amazon and they came in today. I plugged it into my computer but no audio came out. Tried the windows troubleshooter but that didn't help. I also tried all the other ports. I thought the headphones may be faulty so I tried them on my iPhone and they work just fine. Anyone know what may be the problem?

Hi guys, so a weird thing has happen to me. I've gathered some parts and have put together a build for someone spec's are: Aorus z390 Pro mobo Sapphire rx 580 i5 8600k 32gb corsair vengeance ram 650w psu 80+ rated psu And a corsair h100i cooler When on first boot everything was and is normal, got into bios, checked if everything is detected, all is fine, windows booted, etc. Then when I tried to play audio nothing was coming out from the rear ports. I've done some research and from others experiences I thought it was a driver issues which are common with this board so as I cannot return it, I bought a sound card, Asus xonar essence STX. Connected it, everything as it should but still no audio coming out of it? I've downloaded the latest drivers for the sound card but that still did no good. I've checked if it's being detected in device manager and it does, everything seems to work fine but there's just no sound coming out of it at all. I've made sure the speakers work by testing them on a different device and they do indeed work. Front HD audio doesn't work either when headphones are plugged into it either. I just don't know what to do and would like some advice from anyone who has encountered this type of problem or knows any sort of solution to it!

I'm trying to play Sniper Elite 3 with my friend, but the audio doesn't work for him. He's tried restarting the game, his computer, reinstalling the game, he's got directX 12 installed as well as .netframework 4.0 (the two things quite a few videos call for as a fix). At one point while messing about with all things mentioned above, audio began working and was fine for the entire play session, but afterwards returned to same broken state. There is absolutely no audio coming from the game. He's using a steelseries arctic 7 wireless. All help is appreciated, as this has been frustrating us for quite a while now!

I have a PC with a Core I9 9900K, an RTX 2060 and 32 GB of ram running 64-bit Windows 10 Home, Version 22H2 OS build 19045.2364. It is connected via the HDMI port on my GPU to a Samsung Q70 series TV. I've been using the PC and TV together since late 2019 without any issues. But when I turned it on this morning I had no audio from the PC through the TV. The picture/video works fine. The TV audio itself was also fine. It's just the audio from the PC that isn't working. I tried rebooting and then used the Windows troubleshooting function to reinstall my audio drivers. Still no audio through the TV. I tried some bluetooth headphones and I had audio through the headphones. I tried disconnecting the headphones and then tried uninstalling/removing them. Still no audio through the TV. I unplugged the HDMI cable from both the PC and TV and then reconnected it. Still no audio through the TV. Finally, I tried plugging the HDMI cable into the motherboard's HDMI port because that port worked before I installed my GPU, but I got neither audio nor video from it. I am not sure why the motherboard port didn't work, but ultimately it's the GPU port I want to get working. I am not sure what to try next. I would really appreciate any ideas. Thank you in advance.

PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 GPU: GTX 1080 Palit JetStream MOBO: ASRock ab350 PRO4 RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x8GB 3000MHz (XMP 2.0) PSU: XFX 650W (don't remember what model) OS SSD: ADATA SP920 OS: Windows 10 21H2 Problem description: Hi. I have a problem that has been going on for some time (2-3 years). It's hard to explain what it really is. Sometimes, my computer stops playing music, stops videos (starts buffering on youtube), there is no sound in games and when I minimize the game window and return to the game there is a black screen with window borders (the game runs on full screen) - I can't exit the game by clicking the "x" button in the corner, I have to end the task. When I open the game after the incident it runs, but has no sound. Other than that computer doesn't crash, etc. For example, when I'm doing a project in Adobe Illustrator I can normally work, finish the project and save it without any issues, but spotify stops playing music. I can open new programs, but the issue still exists. What causes the issue (and when it happens): It happens when it wants to. Sometimes when I turn on my computer it happens within 5 minutes (sometimes immediately, sometimes a few minutes later). Sometimes it happens a few hours after I turn on my computer. Sometimes I can run my computer for 12-15h and it will work just fine. I checked if it does that under stress. I opened 2 games, gimp, chrome x2 (around 30-40 tabs total), edge, spotify, origin, a few smaller programs, adobe illustrator and tried to open photoshop, but it didn't want to open due to lack of ram, but the porblem didn't happen. I could watch YT and listen to spotify without any issues. Apex Legends was running fine (the performance was only a little bit worse). However, I've noticed that sometimes it happens exactly when I'm opening a new program (game, browser, etc.). Sometimes it happens just like that, I can leave my PC for 2 minutes and after I come back there's the issue. Sometimes it happens when I turn on the computer, I reboot it, it happens again (and 3-4 times like that, one after another). Sometimes when I'm rebooting my PC after the provlem occured there is a message that Task Host Window is stopping background tasks. What fixes the issue: Again, hard to tell what exactly. When I reboot my computer the problem is usually fixed. Sometimes I have to reboot it a few times (expecially if the problem happened within 5 minutes after I turned it on). When the problem happens some time after the system boot (a few hours after) sometimes it helps to end chrome, game (usually apex legends) and spotify task in the task manager. I didn't really test if other programs work after that or just the ones that the task was ended. However, sometimes anding the task won't help and I have to reboot the system. What is ok: CPU & GPU temperatures are fine RAM is working fine (I did a memtest x86) What I did to fix the problem: System reinstall Removing and installing the GPU and RAM (exchanging their place too) Unplugging and pluging in the GPU cables MemTest x86 (no RAM issues, at least it didn't show any) DDU (hard uninstalling GPU drivers), multiple times Installing multiple GPU drivers (they are not the issue) Updating the chipset drivers (to AMD version 5.12.0.38, 08.03.2020) I don't know if it's a software or hardware related issue. I think that the first thing to do would be to find what causes the issue (if it's even possible). Without it, it will be really hard to fix the problem, since I won't know if the thing I did fixed the problem. Thank you if you read everything. I hope that someone will know something, maybe had a similar issue. It really drives me crazy.

I am using MSI H110M PRO VH motherboard with i5 6500 (but no graphic card except the inbuilt intel hd 530). My problem is that NO SOUND COMES THROUGH HDMI, as it doesn't show my LED TV (or Digital Audio HDMI) in play back devices and I have been using it like that for past 3 years Things I have tried: -Uninstalling , reinstalling and updating intelHD and realtek hd audio drivers , manually and as well as through windows auto update feature. -Formating whole system and reinstalling windows 10. -swapping cables etc etc. All to vein, nothing worked. LED TV works perfectly with other hdmi inputs such as tata sky setup box. Though sound comes through aux output from CPU but not through hdmi. Can you please help me solve this problem ?

Hi! I have installed Windows 10 on MacBook Pro 2010, but the audio is not working. I have tried BootCamp 4, BootCamp 5, BootCamp 6 drivers, but non of the audio drivers work. All other drivers from bootcamp install correctly except audio driver. In Device Manager it shows High Definition Audio Controler, thats not working correctly and has error code 10. Can anybody help me? And yes i know that MacBook is not really meant for Windows, but thats what the user of the computer wants, not my decision.

Hey guys! I'm having issues with my Astro A50s. The audio cut out earlier today, and nothing I do seems to work. I've reinstalled drivers, restarted my computer, re-paired the headphones to the mixamp a dozen times, nothing. The mixamp is plugged in and powered on, I'm only using USB and no optical audio, the headphones and mixamp pair, the headphones are recognized by my computer, and my computer even registers that audio is playing when looking at the Sound menu. On top of all that, when using the ear cup mixer, audio beeps from the headphones themselves sound off just fine. I can not, for the life of me, figure this out.

Hello, I'm having issues with my audio while playing the game, it crashes and then I won't have any audio after playing the game, once it's gone, it's gone for good till I restart the computer. It does this weird pop/crack sound, but when I check the playback devices, it shows that there is audio, but for some reason, my headphones don't receive them, this issue doesn't appear while watching youtube videos, movies, music. I'd be great to fix it.

Hello I recently encountered a problem. After I plugged my USB in order to charge my phone i noticed that i don't have audio anymore only high pitched squealing. I tried getting another headset and the issue remained. I also tried reinstalling the audio drivers and guess what did not help. So I came here to ask what might be the problem? And would a USB soundcard help?

hello, after 3 mouths of not using my pc (the audio was working back then). I was suprised that there is no audio at all. when i troubleshoot the problem ... i only saw the AMD HDMI audio drivers only. i look everywhere but i din't find a solution. so i give up and bought a cheap usb audio stick but the sound is low low quality and the mic isn't working. what can cause my problem ? how can i fix it ? P.S: i can't find my audio card in the device manager and I've tried to download the official driver from hp but it says "no compatible materiel found" . i tired to format and downgrade to win 7 but nothing... here are my specs : OEM: hp compaq dc5800 microtower GPU: hd7750 1gb (driver: 19.4.1) RAM: 4gb ddr2 CPU: C2Q Q9400 OS : Windows 10

i have a Alienware M17xR3 and i've been using the HDMI in port with my PS4. Video output is fine but the Audio isn't coming out of any external speakers. i've looked up other forums saying that you have to change the a Playback/Recording but it show up for HDMI output option. I've also set it to show disabled and disconnected devices not nothings changed. Luckily that i can use the controller 3.5mm jack to output sound but its not ideal having a wireless controller tethered for audio. Also have Wins10 but i haven't tried going back to Wins 7 to see if that option is there. can someone confirm?

For about 2 weeks now i have had no audio on my Dell G7. I have never really had any issues on this system. When it first started i couldnt type or access any windows systems such as the task bar or anything. Any time I would try to open a windows file an error would pop up. After about 2 days of doing the same things, resetting, restarting. Everything I know to do. It randomly started working again. The only problems left are the audio problems bellow, and my system is over all running slower. But I have no way of knowing why that is. It sould run fast as I have an SSD. But iv'e just given up on getting to the bottom of that. But this is my main problem: So I have the icon next to my audio on Windows 10. Ill go to open up this menu, or any other Windows audio program, and I get an error message saying a program isnt running. So I go into the "run" menu, or whatever its called. And look in "services.msc" and I see that "Windows Audio" isn't running. When I go and try to start it, I get this error message I have checked to see if the file is in McAfee's quarantine. Nothing. I have tried going back to a past version of windows. It didn't work for a while, I got it to work today thought. Still nothing. I have tried resetting Windows with and without keeping personal files. It gets to about 8% and then stops and undoes everything. I have restarted my laptop more times than I could count. I have checked everything that I know to check. And i'm at a loss. If anyone has any ideas feel free to help. Please help if you know. Sorry if this post is not laid out very well, I don't post on forms often. But this is my last effort before taking it to get it repaired by Best Buy or someone like that. And sorry if what i'm suppose to is really obvious. I'm not super experienced when it comes to this stuff with computers. Thanks for reading and helping if you can, it means a lot.

I connected my speakers to it and even installed a driver (Realtek high definition audio driver ver:8750.1) from this website the first link. Hey! I'm having this issue with Windows 10 Minecraft not having any audio. Every other game, app and even other windows store apps have audio. I've reset my audio drivers, ran chkdsk, scannow, and dism with no errors. I've ran audio troubleshooter, device troubleshooter, and have triple check that minecraft isn't muted. I've my computer connected to speakers in the back, and my headset in the front. When i launch minecraft with my speakers, it doesn;t appear in the audio mixer, but does so when i switch to headphone. I'm running windows 10 (non n version), so windows player is already installed, along with the pack. I've reinstalled minecraft countless times and reset it. The only thing that i suspect may be causing this issue is that i ran the XaanderBaatz script, but didnt check if it affected Minecraft at the time. I dont think that it is the issue but i wanted to point it out. I also downloaded voicemaster to flip my audio on my speakers because i put them on the wrong side kek. Thanks!
