Hey Y’all! I’m looking to buy the Titan Security Key USB-A/NFC. This might sound stupid but this should just work with iPhone right? I have an iPhone 11 and it has a nfc reader. So once I register the key I should just be all set right? also what are your thoughts on the titan keys? Any reason I shouldn’t get them?

Schools should consider adopting NFC-oriented ways of making payments. NFC, or near-field communication, is an intuitive technology that allows you to use your mobile device for specific purposes and is, as it turns out, quite easy. NFC is rather easy to use. When two devices are near each other, a prompt pops up, suggesting various options. A suggested function is depositing or receiving money. If schools start to integrate NFC into their ecosystem, school life would be more efficient. Students would be able to pay for lunch with ease and peace of mind, and not have to worry about ever losing money; and even if they loose their phone, the NFC wallet is pin protected. Money will be easily transferred without the hassle of getting change and feeling like you have been cheated.

Summary Apple will be accused of breaking EU law by unfairly limiting access of its mobile payment system on iPhone to third-party service providers, such as PayPal and Venmo, according to the Financial Times, citing sources familiar with the matter. Quotes My thoughts Disclaimer: Please note: As I am as Anti-apple as it can get. My opinion might be Biased. ------ This is nothing but good news, In the EU Mobile and wireless payment methods are widespread, and used by many that can use it with their phones, By using their banking app, it is a simple tap on the terminal with your phone, and you can go, -Unlike the USA where this adoption is slow to start, and rejected by many people. [which I am certain Apple will start to use as a excuse, by Citing global statistics, instead of EU_ONLY statistics, during the lawsuit] ---- Apple bitching about that it is a safely feature is nothing but utter BS, Just like with the appstore/3rd party payment methods they are showing their true colors. of wanting FULL control on IOS devices. Getting FULL access to customers banking info, and user spending habits, trough the info gathered by apple_pay might also be against the GDPR ---- It is sad that it has to come to a lawsuit. as apple has had plenty of times of building a working alternative, that does not rely on banks being forced to integrate their apple_pay feature/software, After the lawsuit concludes in the EU's victory, European banking apps could Finally use the NFC chip that is build into Iphones, Its highly likely that apple will resist, But at least it is a win for the consumer, as they can use their own banks SAFE and Reliable banking app for wireless payment methods. Hi! This is my first ever post on this forum. I've been an LTT fan for a long time now, and I couldn't think of a better place to come and ask this tech related question. So I have an experiment I want to try out, and I basically need a wifi or bluetooth transmitter small enough to fit in a watch but powerful enough to be able to broadcast a signal for, at least, a 10 meter radius. Does this exist? If so, how should I tackle this? What power source should I use and how could I receive that signal from, say, my phone? My connectivity and signal knowledge is almost null, so if I could get any kind of directions on some reads I should do or anything, I would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Will a Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti KalmX fit in this Chassis? It's a passive cooled gpu and I'm concerned with vertical length. (from the pci interface to the gpu thumb screw point and beyond)

UPDATE 0 I've been looking forward to this one for a while now. Unlike some of my previous builds this one should be pretty much stress free (fingers crossed). It's not a competition entry with a deadline, it's not a buddy build, nor a personal rig upgrade leaving me living off a test bench until complete. This one is a goody, a new LAN rig, in a chassis I'm super excited to build in. With no end date *cough* i60 LAN in April *cough*, so come along and enjoy the journey. This is a sponsored project, for which I'm hugely grateful! Massive thanks go out to NFC Systems for their support, E22 for once again showing their faith in my work and indeed Gigabyte for taking the risk and hooking me up. :thumb: ... ... SPECS: INTEL CORE i5 - 6600K CPU HYPERX FURY DDR4 2400MHZ 16GB (2X8GB) RAM GIGABYTE GA-Z170N GAMING 5 MOBO GIGABYTE GTX 1060 ITX OC 6G GPU SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2-2280 250GB NVMe SSD HDPLEX Hi-Fi 250W DC-ATX PSU NOCTUA NH-L9i COOLER 2X SCYTHE KAZE JYUNI SLIM 2000RPM NFC SYSTEMS S4 MINI CUSTOM CHASSIS After my beloved Parvum Veer (MODZERO FOUR) took a savage thieving (of it's mod cubes) in order to complete my Thermaltake UK modders trophy 2016 entry I was left without my LAN buddy. That was back in late April. I'm pretty sure I'd seen the NFC PURIEL build someplace and went in search of more information. That took me to YouTube and there I met the S4 Mini. Once MODZERO OCTO was finished I kept coming back to that S4 Mini I'd seen. At that time the GTX970 was about as powerful a GPU you could fit in the little monster (although couple folks over on the SFF forums had got the AMD Fury Nano running pretty stable too..) but the 10 series was coming soon and with it I was sure one of the board partners would put out a great ITX card. I'd contacted Josh at NFC about sending me the S4 Mini with the panels bare. At the time, very day I was driving past a BMW garage and had found a liking for some of their blues. A M4 in ESTORIL BLUE to be exact. The more I saw of it the more I liked it. From the chromed trim accents to the deep red of the rear light housing, I liked how the black of the grill contrasts against the blue metallic paint work. The actual paint work was done by B-Negative and he nailed it! Thanks buddy!I left the panels to truly harden then went about giving it a cut and polish. I had the color I wanted, so that was it, I'd base my S4 Mini around the aspects of the BMW M4 I liked. THE NFC SYSTEMS S4 MINI Many may already be aware of this chassis or at least Josh and his years of great work in the modding community, for those that aren't, this is the NFC S4 Mini. A 4.3l air cooled ITX chassis designed by Josh, manufactured in small batches and sold direct from his NFC SYSTEMS website. You can find out a lot more about it over on his page but for now I'll just show a couple shots of mine. ... This way up? ... Or this way? I think I'm leaning toward the second, there are vents under the Alu wrap-around and as we know, heat rises. With the GPU being that end of the case, I think I may see some performance gains in this rotation. ... You can just about make out the vents under the Alu panel. As the build progresses I'll drive inside the chassis and show some of that, I may take a second pass at the cut and polish I think there are areas for improvement. Outside of the custom paint work and sleeved cables I plan to make some modifications to how both the CPU & GPU are cooled and try my hand with some other materials to help make some of the internals really pop. Thanks for check it out, hope you stick around and enjoy the log. J.

Hi, Now that my LG G6 stopped updating, 3.5mm is dead and MicroSD tray broke, I am looking for a replacement. For now my goal is to find a unicorn in a way... Let me explain I need an android device with clean android, NFC, Usb-C, MicroSD slot, dual sim and a 3.5mm Jack. The only option that I see right now is ASUS Zenfone 6 released recently. It does meet most of my requirements, yet this ZenUI is absolutely killing me! Any alternatives? Am I blind and dont see any other options? To be clear - I usually buy a device for a long term, so I need a reliable device too... And that flip camera doesnt look very durable to me. Suggestions? Links to devices? Any help is appreciated. Cheers P.S. Rooting is not my strongest suit

I am using Nokia 6 which doesn't have an NFC reader, so I searched in the internet if there is any external NFC reader for Android. I clicked into this website: https://www.taptrack.com/article/blog/use-nfc-tablet-without-built-reader/, and saw that "Use an NFC phone and pair the tablet using traditional Bluetooth". Is this thing real and works? Is there any apps which have that kind of function? Or which external NFC reader is recommended?

Hello, i just bought some NFC cards for my Nintendo switch for the amiibo features, because they don't sell the action figure anymore and if i wanted to buy one it would cost more than its worth. So i was wondering if i used bluestacks, and yes i checked to see if it was supported and it was, could i use my ASUS PCE-AC55BT wireless adapter to read the NFC chips, write the code onto them, then use my Nintendo Switch's amiibo reader to read the NFC chip inside the card, to get the rewards for my games? Because the phone i have doesn't support nfc and im not willing to spend more money for a phone that has nfc support just for some simple rewards for a video game.

Does anyone know how I could use a USB Skylanders portal as an NFC reader for my PC? I really just want it to transfer small files from my phone to my computer. Yes, I know I can use many other methods to do that, but where is the fun in any of those?

Hey All, Doing a project for a uni and basically want to set up an rfid sticker on something that I've 3D printed so it will allow me to log into an iPad. Possibly something bluetooth so it looks professional with no cables. Any suggestions would be awesome. Cheers

I have a RFID-RC522 hooked up to an Arduino so I can read RFID tags. I would like to be able to use the NFC in my iPhone to be read by the reader and have it do something based on the programming. Is this possible or do I need to get a NFC reader? Apple has the API released to use the NFC in an iPhone called Core NFC so I should be able to code the NFC on my phone.

I got a rfid implant and wanted to use it with a bike lock the only thing I found was a padlock.... soo I got a egee touch padlock with nfc and want to use my own nfc tag and this is what I found out : the ID is provided if you buy the tags frome THEM. These ID is also found in sector 0 / UID so for example 7abcd739 abcd is the manufacture provided ID so I thought what the hell lets try it but this UID "method" of using the 4 digets after the first 2 dosnt work .... I have been texting back and fourth with @ deviantollam on twitter btw great guy! and wanted to ask if you guys have an Idea reddit link :/https://www.reddit.com/r/NFC/comments/fiux4a/cloning_a_uid_with_a_twist/ best regard ianspy1

Hey guys, I know there there are reviews on solutions for multiple Credit cards and stuffs. Would like to know if anyone actually knows of the following products: 1. Coin 2. Plastc 3. Swyp 4. Stratos 5. Wocket Yes while there are a bunch of information lying around. But most of them don't quite seem up to date at the point of October 2016. Since Linus community seems pretty up to date about such things I thought this could be a place to ask around about the above! Some of them seem to be in the market, while other sources seem to point that they aren't even launched etc. Thanks guys! And gals!

Hi, I haven't tried it yet but can I wirelessly charge my LG G3 while at the same time reading a NFC-Chip? I'm asking cause I bought a wireless Qi-Charger and would like to stick a NFC-Chip on the back or somewhere near to automatically change some settings on the phone through an App similar to Tasker whenever my phone is on that wireless charger. Unfortunately there is no direct feature in the app to detect if the device is wirelessly charging so I would really like to use a NFC chip. Both technologies use electro-magnetic waves as far as I know. Would they enterfere whith each other? (Sorry for not-that-perfect english)

Hey peeps, just received and set up my new 6S+ (yes, iOS Fanboy. Dale with it) and have found ONE decent program which stores all my rewards cards and stuff. Looking for a program that could potentially replace/be used in place of certain cards in my wallet that use RFID contacts. Are there any apps you use or are aware of that do this atleast somewhat reliably? Still confused? I want an app that can, for instance, be used in place of a card I use for a racing arcade machine, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5. Or for my public transport RFID card, Myki (Ausfaggian Melbournite). Any ideas? <3

So my school has recently purchased doors that open via NFC using wristbands. I can scan the data from my wristband and all the info comes up. My question is, is there a way to open these doors from the NFC chip on my phone? Eg. Just scan my phone to open the door?

I recently had a great idea, and it requires the use of Near field communication, however I am not entirely sure how they work. I know that they store information, don't requrie a battery, and can transmit over a few centimeters. What I need to know is, how do i "program"(or whatever you do to the chip) an NFC chip to give it the information it stores, and to be read by a receiver.

So Sony has JUST released (today) some new headphones and I think they are worth trying for a MassDrop Deal. Im unsure of the actual sound quality of these (No reviews as of yet as just released) but they've got all the features i can think of. If your thinking about a set of good travel/noise cancelling headphones these are worth a look. I think they look pretty sweet with the subtle blue accents MDR-ZX770BN/B Sony Store US Massdrop Poll : dro.ps/v/jT9a6Fy Also If anyone has actually heard these headphones I'd Like to know how good the sound is.

Hi guys! I'm opening this thread to talk about the Arctic S113BT mobile speaker. I'm using it in this days and I've chosen the orange version: on the official website you can see all other colors (http://www.arctic.ac/eu_en/s113-bt.html). The street price is under 40$ and you can buy it on Amazon at 38.99$ (free shipping, directly from Arctic). The package looks good and the design is the same Arctic is using for its latest producs. Tha main features of this model are the Bluetooth 4.0 Low Power and the NFC connectivity. Another good news is the official support for the high bitrate AAC files (to enjoy loseless audio tracks) and for the aptX codec. On the top is showed the internal structure, studied to amplify low frequencies, which hosts the two full range drivers. Between the two drivers there is a microphone useful for voice call. The embedded battery is a Li-Ion one (1200mAh) with about 8 hours of autonomy and up to 700 hours in standby. It recharges quickly using a recent Android USB charger. On the back you can read about the bi-color LED (used to show the battery status and the BT connectivity status) and the three main buttons, two for the volume adjustement and one to enable the wireless connectivity/answer a call. Here is the technical characteristics of the two drivers (on the official website there could be a characteristic table which is not up to date): -Power: 3W RMS (for each channel) -Bandwidth: 30Hz – 20 kHz -Impedence: 4Ohm -Microphone sensitivity: -44dB In the box there are, in addition to the speaker, a jack-to-jack cable, a USB Micro-USB cable (to recharge the internal battery) and a little bag with a tiny Arctic logo. A user manual shows how to use the Bluetooth and the NFC pairing. I've used the S113BT with two Android phones (an LG G3 and a OnePlus One) without any problem: even an old iPod Touch 3G, which doesn't have the BT 4.0, has worked properly. I've also tested the capability to stream FLAC files using a Windows 7 laptop and VLC media player. The connection stability is also very good. The built quality is quite good, the metal grilles are solidly mounted and the orange rubber is very useful to absorb vibrations at high volume levels. In the pic above the bi-color LED is visible. The rear grill doesn't have any buttons and its function is to amply low frequencies. The maximum volume is very high for a so tiny speaker. The bandwidth is good and the drivers play well even at 70-80Hz despite their small size. The sound is pleasant and the stereo effect is well implemented. Using the S113BT with lots of different kind of music the only flaw I've found is about the middle frequencies (1-2kHz) in some instrumental songs: sometimes the audio is not so clean and it seems a bit distorted. However, for a product of this size, features and price range is impossible to have an impeccable bahaviour. The last pic shows the On/Off button, the Micro-USB connector and the audio IN (you can use it if you PC or smartphone hasn't the BT). Talking about the conclusion I think the S113BT are a great products for its price and it's difficult to find something comparable for the same money with the same feature and the same nice built.

Hi everybody! I'm opening this thread to talk about the new Arctic P614 BT headset. I've already tried the wired version of this headset, called P614, and now I'm focusing on this Bluetooth 4.0 + NFC version. The design is the same of the P614 and this product comes with the "Carbon Free" logo as all the latest Arctic products. Arctic is really pushing on its new design and on a sustainable economy. The package is good looking and on the back you can read the headset features: -20Hz - 20kHz frequency response -sensitivity 105dB -Neodymiun driver -embedded microphone - sensitivity 42dB -Li-Ion 850mAh rechargeable battery (about 30 hours of use) -Bluetooth 4.0 Class 2 + NFC connectivity On the headset there are a volume rocker and two other buttons to change song in your playlist. There's also a bi-color status LED and a MicroUSB connector for recharging the battery. This buttons are perfectly integrated and have no impact on the sleek design of the headset. Unfortunately there are no color options. In the box there are the headphones (they're not to big, a bit smaller than other headphones from other brands), a little black bag to carry the P614 BT around and a USB-MicroUSB cable. A little card invites you to contact Arctic staff if you're not completely satisfied. The user manual shows how to connect the P614 BT with your laptop or you smartphone. I've hadn't any problem using this headset with my LG G3 and even with an old iPod Touch 3G that doesn't have the 4.0 Bluetooth connectivity. No problem with my three years old Dell Laptop too. The bitrate is high enough to play even a FLAC file without any issue. The Bluetooth range is about 5 meters. Following there are two photos which show the buttons (located on the left side of the headphone). They're really useful and they work with no problem even with third part applications such as Google Music and Spotify for Android. The volume rocker can also be pushed in order to pause the song you're listening to or to answer a call: it works fine for me but I would have preferred a slightly bigger one. Talking about the frequency response I think it's really flat with a very good audio fidelity. The low frequency are well played but not overpowered as other popular brands headphones. The neodymium drivers sound clear and even at the maximum volume there's no distortion. I think that with a bit of equalizer this headphones are suitable of all kind of music and the very well reproduced stereo effect make this P614 BT good for whatching movies too. The isolation from environmental noise is quite impressive but there isn't an active noise cancellation. The ergonomics is well engineered and I've been using the headphones to watch a two hours movie forgiving them. The P614 BT is currently on sale on Amazon and you can buy this headset for only 42.99$ (free shipping). For any question write me here or in PM
