Yesterday I made my first purchase on Newegg (it was just a $40 condenser microphone) using a Visa gift card I got for my birthday, I went to check the order status and BAM! I get greeted with the login screen didn’t think much of it until I tried logging in a bit later after I got back from work, I typed in my email and then I see Oops! There's an issue with your account. If you'd like us to look into this for you, please click here. I put in an appeal not to long ago and I decided to do research and I get a bunch of Reddit posts on the Newegg subreddit and see many people with the same issue, only thing is none of them were able to get their account back and were ghosted by support, they refunded the money (or didn’t even charge) to the visa but it still doesn’t change the fact I have no account until (if) support gets back to me. (I’ll keep the post updated but I really want to know why this is happening if it was the billing address not matching since it’s a Gift Card or I did something wrong, I just hope I get my account back since I also have a computer build saved for once I can afford it) Update#1: I contacted Newegg support and my account was indeed blocked, they said I should be receiving an email requesting to unblock my account and if i don’t get my account back/receive an email to update them in the next 24 hours. Update#2: spoke to someone today who basically told me my original account is not recoverable. The person I talked to on the phone basically confirmed what I thought was the issue without directly saying that this was the issue, I asked for advice to prevent this from happening again when (if) I make a new account since they can’t recover my original account, and they said make sure the billing address matches the actual address of the card. I’m going to try once more on a new account, though, if this issue happens again, I’m probably going to cut ties entirely with the company, since my first impression wasn’t all to great. Update#3: I gave in and just decided to use my debit card instead, because I don’t want my account getting banned all over again, so now I know if I get banned this time it has nothing to do with the card and the billing address and it’s something with their system (also for those who saw the previous edit that I removed I leaned I can’t edit the billing address on that specific type of vanilla gift card) update#4: so far the order hasn’t been canceled and I can still login, so I leaned don’t use a prepaid gift card to make a purchase on Newegg (at least I know they value privacy, and customer safety)

New PC won’t turn on after RMAing half the parts I first tried to assemble this pc about a month ago now and I haven’t been able to get it to turn on once. I’ve sent it to the local pc repair place twice now and I’ve had the mobo and cpu RMAed from Newegg and back and it still is giving me the same issues. Today was my last attempt at rebuilding it and now the Psu is making a weird wurring sound. The only sign of life at all consistently between the tries is that the flash bios light comes on properly when the button is pressed. Specs: Storage: WD_BLACK 1TB SN770 NVMe SSD mobo: pro Z690-A WIFI Cpu: Intel 12600k Ram: vengeance ddr5 2x16 Cpu: cooler: Fuma 3 Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow GPU: 3060 TI PSU: MSI MPG A750GF Gaming Power Supply I've done the paper clip test with the PSU and the PSU fan turns on but when its plugged into the mobo in any way the psu starts making a tinny wurring sound. I haven't tried another PSU since I got the MOBO and CPU back from RMA from Newegg but Id also like to note the condition the CPU box came back in which Ill show below I'm gonna try and get a PSU to test today but figured I'd ask around to see if anything stuck out to people

So I ordered my new Ryzen 7800X-3D build on Monday. I already have the package in my hands, Im just waiting for my new case to show up. However, NewEgg hasn't charged my Credit Card yet. There isn't even a "Pending" Transaction on my card. Is this normal? Is NewEgg really this slow at completing transactions??? I mean I guess it doesn't matter too much, its just freaking weird that I have received my Mobo, RAM, and CPU before NewEgg even charged me...

So like, it's not a big deal overall in and of itself; but this kind of incredibly basic security malpractice makes me skeptical of giving anyone my credit card information. I figure there are other folks out there who may feel the same. Sorry admins if this is way too off-topic but I figure because of the combination of it being about a gamer-merchant and the general tech topic of web-security makes it a relevant topic for General. Basically, the XSS prevention method on this form on NewEgg is to just replace any kind of HTML interpretable character with it's hardcoded equivalent on the change event for the textarea I only noticed because I tried to put in an apostrophe and I got back ' . It appears that on-submission they are actually adding this block to the DOM somewhere and lo and behold a script tag litterally runs on submission. The proper solution to this UI experience is to take the string from the submitted form and then sanitize it before doing anything with it, if you really needed to display it in the DOM, which they have absolutely no context to do at this point. For those of you who don't know about the risks of XSS attacks, the general risk is: this is a comment upload form that is uploading itself as HTML. The server itself may sanitize the code out of this comment, (in-fact, that's the only real solution to this type of attack) but the fact that they would make such a rookie mistake on the frontend implies to me that they might think this solution is impenetrable. If anywhere in any form they allow an unsanitized text-string to make it between users then the attacker could upload something actually sinister like making a service request to get account data for the victim and then send it back to another server.

Hi! I'm looking for a GPU to buy right now for at most $400 USD. Preferably from Amazon or Newegg. Micro Center is also acceptable. The GPU also has to be available to buy, so probably not a 3000 series. It will be running Minecraft: Java Edition, Fortnight, and a small amount of COD. The person that the GPU is for is coming from a console, so he will not be used to anything over 60 FPS. I have been looking at some GTX 1650/1650SUPER/1660 models. But those keep going in and out of stock. Thanks for any help!

Acccording to Gamer's Nexus, and allegedly multiple comments by viewers of the GN YouTube channel, Newegg has been running what Steve (from Gamer's Nexus) calls a "scam." The "scam" involves consumers being denied refunds by Newegg after returning what are supposedly return-eligible products, specifically motherboards. Newegg has apparently been consistently citing "customer-caused damage to CPU pins" (from the video at the 4:10 mark) as the reason for witholding the funds from would-be RMA-ers. As Steve says, he's heard about the issue for years, and his best way to test the waters was to keep ordering product as normal for the business. Well, Tech Jesus, it looks like you finally got your answer. "...[T]hey rolled the dice on a random number generator, they happened to roll a critical failure for this one." Steve reports that after attempting to return a $500 (all-in) motherboard that Gamer's Nexus ended up no longer needing (a fact that they apparently made quite transparent in their return merchandise request), they received an infamous response about customer damage to the board. This Newegg response came despite Steve's claims that the box the product shipped in was never even opened. Tech nerds will be familiar with the protective covers in place in CPU sockets to prevent the very issues Newegg is accusing customers of having caused, so it seems unlikely that the pins or socket could have been damaged in shipping, either to or from the customers. Steve basically threw his hands in the air over getting the money back, but admits that creating the video revealing his experience with Newegg will likely make GN back the $500 quite easily and he also expresses his frustration in knowing that the average consumer would not necessarily have the luxary of buying a new part or have a loud enough voice to make the problem see the light of day. It seems likely that tech industry, especially the tech media on YouTube, will have a field day with the story, as they have with past investigations conducted by Gamer's Nexus, such as the biggest GN story of 2021 regarding explosive Gigabyte power supplies. Whatever the outcome, computer builders will likely be enthusiastic to know that they have such an outspoken ally in the tech media and hope to see any wrongdoing (if there is some) on Newegg's part brought to justice. Summary After the controversy with Gamers Nexus it seems there is more to the story. UFD Tech has just released a video explaining the sad behaviour and poor management. Even has had contact with Steve at GN. My thoughts It is sad to see companies treating others this way. For a company to treat another HUMAN BEING this way is unacceptable. I hope that anyone who is being offered a sponsor spot with this company really thinks twice before going ahead. It's good to see Steve support UFD Tech and help get awareness out there to keep others safe and expose the unacceptable acts. As always, please research before making decisions on contracts with any company offering a sponsor deal. Sources https://youtu.be/-c_rKnK-uAM

So I was in the market for a new computer. I really wanted to build one myself but with the whole GPU storage, that's not really in my budget. I found this listing for something called the Zotac MEK Hero G1 A5636, and it seems pretty good. It has pretty good specs for what I need it for and probably the best deal I've found in months, but is it too good to be true? I thought it was safe because after looking into it, it's from a good source in Zotac, and it's sold and shipped by Newegg BUT I wanted to ask here to make sure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks greatly! Link to the system

Hey, I'm in the mists of buying the final two components for my computer and have found that due to multiple circumstances the memory kit I had intended to buy is out of stock everywhere except Newegg and MemoryC. Unfortunately there are no other kits, by another brand, in the UK that have the same specifications; not sure as to why, perhaps due to shortages etc or that the specs are popular with those who have adopted the Ryzen platform. But I digress, is memoryc.co.uk a legitimate website and has anybody had any experience with them before? Also, how does Newegg's warranty policy work for those shipping internationally? Newegg have given me very conflicting information and after searching around myself I have been unable to resolve at a conclusion. Thank you for the help in advance, Stay safe, Lex.

Newegg sent me an email confirming an order I placed, and in the email they had a 3070 advertised. I clicked the link, it said it was in stock, and has been in stock for about 20 hours now. I tried looking for it by searching through the website, but you can literally only find it directly through the link, or by looking through the vendor's items for sale. I'm not sure if it's bugged or if nobody has bought it because you can't search for it publicly, and I personally have no interest in buying a 3070, to use or to flip (I personally want a 3080, 3080 ti, or might wait for 4000s). It's listed for $1800, so maybe that's why it hasn't sold yet but I've been too lazy to check and see what the street value of a 3070 is at the moment. Anyways, the link: https://www.newegg.ca/zotac-model-zt-a30700j-10p/p/1DW-000S-00099?Item=9SIADGEDFW2322 If anyone checks it out or buys it, let me know if it actually let you purchase it. It did let me add it to my cart, and it's actually been sitting in there for a while but I didn't move past that point. Just thought I'd let someone know that it's there, none of my friends or family were interested in dropping $1800 CAD, buy I hope this helps somebody that wants one! It took me a bit to get this out there, but as it stands, right before I posted this message I checked to see if it was still in stock, it says it still is. Good luck all.

Hello everyone, I have bought a new prebuilt computer from Newegg. The model is an ABS Gladiator gaming PC (ALI502) Specs are: Gigabyte Auros Z590 Elite AX (Updated to latest bios) 2x8 Gskill Tridenz 3200mhz ram Intel i7 10700k Evga 750ga full modular power supply Evga RTX3080 Ultra FTW3 My problem is, it's not giving display but all of the lights, fans are working. So I made some inspections. I plugged off the GPU. PC works fine and booted into windows. I tried another PCI port for the rtx3080. Same problem I have tried my old GTX650 ti boost. It works. I plugged my rtx3080 into my old rig with the EVGA 750ga PSU. It didn't work either. I tried another 750w PSU, same problem. I have tried to change CSM, 4G Resizeble bar support, etc on the bios. I switched EVGA rtx3080 bios modes. All of the Three 8 pin VGA cables are separated and connected to the PSU. I have cleared CMOS and reset bios several times. I switched the ram slots, left only one. Changed the integrated GPU to enabled the bios so I can get a display from the mobo. It seems like it's stuck on the Auros bios logo. I can't even get into bios. Nothing fixed the problem. The card is not completely dead, fans and LEDs are working. So I suspicious about which one is DOA. I have contacted Newegg. They directed me to the ABS customer cases and they told me they cannot provide me an RMA because it was an international order and I should send it to NewEgg. Why wouldn't they check out and tested the PC in the first place? It already took me some time to handle the paperwork for the customs and shipment. Returning the whole pc to the NewEgg is a complete nightmare for me. I am living in Turkey. So I contacted the EVGA and successfully register my card on the EVGA website. It has 3 years of warranty. It looks like I will send my card to the RMA. Before that, I would like to get your comment and suggestion. Maybe I am missing something.

GN started testing some bad PSUs that was in part sold in the bundling during the GPU craze and big demand, which was sold through bundling or pre-built PCs with other components of lesser quality. Some being E-waste and some being dangerous to use at all. Do be careful with other builds and not just from Newegg that might try to sell some bad components with their systems. As with Aris from Hardware Busters noted a few months back, PSU killing one of GamerNexus GPU's GamerNexus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aACtT_rzToI Hardware Busters: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS0Mjw3BW94

I entered the shuffle today as I do basically everyday and somehow got "lucky" enough to be selected. My email came in at 2:06PM PST and then said I had till 4:00PM PST to make my purchase. When I tried purchasing ~3:00PM I was unsuccessful. Each time I finalized my order I was simply redirected back to my shopping cart where the combo was present. After the 10th or so attempt I decided to contact their support to see what the issue was. Apparently being selected in the shuffle does not in any way, shape, or form, give you a reservation for a item/combo. I was told that "Sorry you won shuffle that means your have chance to pourchase it. We will add it into your cart. But that not means we hold item for you. We can not hold item before we charge you." To me this seems to be in direct contradiction with what the website and rules state. "If selected, item will be added to your cart. Must purchase within the Buying Window or the reservation will be forfeited." Not only is the description of the shuffle deceptive and straight up wrong, but they also lied about a 2 hour window. 2:06 - 4:00 is not 2 hours. I wouldn't be upset by these 6 minutes, but with what else happened to me with the shuffle it's just another insult to injury. Has anyone else had any problems like this? I just can't believe how bad this experience has been.

So I really want the Lian - li o11 mini. I have been checking Newegg for the past few weeks, nothing. but when I google "Lian Li o11 mini white" and I click on the first link, as I did every day for the past few weeks, it brings me HERE. Which is the Razer o11d. A few days ago Newegg said that its comes back in stock on the 22nd. I hope I can get my hands on it. Plus, I can't find it anywhere else. (In the US only please) If someone could help me find this anywhere, that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I was looking for a new gpu and a lot of them were out of stock on newegg but in stock on newegg business. Do I have to own a business to purchase from there? And what is the difference between the two?

Hi all, I am a long time viewer on LTT but very new to this forum, and I know vibrations kill hard drives. So I ordered a 8TB Ironwolf (non-pro) HDD on newegg and it arrived earlier today. When I got home, I tried to rotate the box to pick it up more easily. (I know it is the drive ATM.) To my great personal horror, it made a very large THUMP sound! So I opened it quickly, only to find this packaging.... The drive was sitting on a corner of the box with some loosly stuffed air pillows above it, with no measures to secure it. So it has been banging around the box for this whole time during shipping..... Of course I can't accept it. So I was contacting costomer help line, but the representatives keep telling me: a) I did not open it, and b) If it works when I open it they can not refund a full charge (+ original shipping + free return shipping), because this is technically "I don't want it anymore", and I cannot prove the product _may_ be bad, or it may suffer from pre-mature failures. Knowing hard drives, there is no way in freaking hell that I entrust my data to this sorry ass excuse of a "good" drive. Now, the way I see it, there are 2 ways for me to go: a) Waste hours of my time to find a reasonable representative who would take this drive back and issue a full refund + original shipping + free return shipping, or b) per the representatives I talked to, if the drive fails when I power it up, they will accept my claim. Now I can make sure it fails when it powers up and Seagate will blame Newegg's shipping dept. for it (you know how), but I'd rather not to, that just being a bad human being..... So if y'all know a way to fix this, or if some reasonable person from Newegg is reading this, pleeeeease, feel free to leave a comment or contact me to remedy this cluster f-up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bottom line, I can not accept this hard drive and subject myself to data loss..... DUH....

So I saw this listing on newegg recently and thought it was pretty insane. I know Maxsun is an asian based company I believe based in china but I have no idea how good or reputable their GPU's are. I recently bought an evga 3070 ftw3 ultra for about $600 but was thinking about returning it if this deal is real. Anyone thoughts on this?
