Budget (including currency): R25 000 (+- $1300USD) Country: South Africa Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Audio-Visual programs: Audio production software suchPro-Tools,reaper and such. Adobe related software like photoshop and after effects. Emulation and Virtual Machine software for various platform usabilities and lastly, Running demanding games with average to above average tier capabilities. My naivety towards the particulars of tech has grown exponentially over the years. Ive I've reached out here and there to try and gather my knowledge on what the various terms of certain components are, what they mean and how it can be relevant to a build I'm planning on very soon. I want to try and gather enough info to gain the confidence in my idea to build it myself! Based on how much I can learn and understand of course. The specifics of this build has a lot of heart behind it.(Sentimental value) I'd love to hear your suggestions on what I can start to look into researching on what to look for in my build. I'd love to hear your thoughts on how I can achieve a build that serves as a entertainment/Media center, gaming capable, Work-horse of a machine! Of course, it goes without saying whether or not my budget would accommodate such a build. Thanks for reading!

Budget (including currency): N/A Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: SCS Software’s “American Truck Simulator “ and Euro Truck Simulator 2”, Final Fantasy Games, Content Creation [AMVs], possibly Streaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Pre Existing: Silverstone Sugo SG13 with G11313530-RT front io upgrade. Sliverstone PP08 ATX to SFX Adapter Desired Display Settings: Quality HDR or Better before FPS, ideally 5,120 x 1,440 with a secondary 7” to 12” Touch screen virtual Virtual in game information Display. Planed Items: SymProjects > Pro-Gauges Derek Speare Designs > 64 Button "No Matrix" Controller VIVO > Electric Multi Motor Corner Desk Frame with Memory Controller DESK-V130EW definitely more ito visuals than FPS because the most advanced games i currently have is Final Fantasy 15 and 7 remake intergrade steam additions. Want the little the additional screen to be a touchscreen so I can install it in the desk/dash build. So that I can control the infotainment information on the American truck simulator in Euro truck simulator two feature. Basically it would allow me to pull up load info, damages, and all that. going with a VIVO corner DIY Desk kit because it has hefty motors, and can actually build it into an old-school off angled truck dash wich in the semi it sticks out a little farther on the passenger side so you can reach more switches easier. With that dash it’s going to have indicator switches lights actual automotive gauges. And that’s all going to be in a custom built box with bolt onto the desk frame like a desktop. It will also house on the steering wheel base. as for the the steering wheel control have yet to decide between going with something like moza r9 direct drive or something more common place like a thrustmaster belt driven GT-II. Plan to install real aftermarket semi truck steering wheels by SCI. And because they’re for semi trucks and can go up to 22 inches, they can get very heavy. So that’s one of the reasons I am considering the direct drive wheel for durability. And since in a wheelchair, the sit stand desk frame will allow me to raise and lower the whole set up on my wheelchair up to the desk no problem. Do compact the Silverstone SG 13 smaller form factor. Was going to use an adapter to install an SFX power supply. And as for cooling have learned of the new EK velocity2 cpu block/pump combos and paring with the XSPC RX120 Single Fan Radiator V. I just really would like an advice on graphic cards I could power of the desired, set up, but keep all the eye candy and everything on. Know that a lot of the Final Fantasy PC games having nvidia features, so it would definitely be a preferred option. Know g-sync 49 inch monitors are kind of expensive. Som would be just willing to go with the standard free sink AMD 49 inch. HDR and image quality are some of the best considerations for display settings. Otherwise, the games I play or not that demanding. Would also do a little video editing into making what is known as anime music videos. Basically, you take anime scenes and put them over modern music like Ava Max heaven to hell, for example. If your characters go on YouTube and type in Ava, Max, Heaven and Hell AMV. I would be of some slight graphics editing. So I was thinking something along a i7 or Ryzen7 chip. And the SG 13 Silverstone case is compatible up to a mini-DTX motherboard. originally was wanting to run quad 1080 P monitors in a 4 x 1 horizontal set up. So I have severely scaled down the build, to make it more accessible. And as for PC location, it will be using a kit by the VIVO company to mount it to the bottom side of the desk so it goes up and down with the desk. Will just stick it out slightly, so could access the power and reset button.

Hi, I'm gonna buy a second hand RTX 2070 Super, for the new pc I'm building, but I'm a bit afraid of scam. I won't be able to test it on the pc I'm building because I still do not have RAM and CPU, so I was wondering if I could use my old pc. It has : - CPU : an Intel quad core Q6600 - RAM : 2x2 Go 667Hz DDR2 - MOBO : MSI P35 Neo - PSU : Cooler Master RS-700-ASAB-L3 700W. So firstly, will I be able to make the RTX working ? And secondly, will I be able to check if it has normal performances ? Because I guess that a benchmark would be misleading, due to the poor performances of everything else. I suppose that if I can't test it I won't buy it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to find another deal later. Thanks by advance !

Basically the title : I can't find a direct comparison for these two, what is the best for a ryzen 5 3600, knowing that silence is an important factor ?

Budget (including currency): around 1400 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: low end programming/Game development. 3d blender,Unity engine,Unreal engine(Planning on going into learning Game development but this rig is not meant to go full send into it just yet) still wanna Play games like Red dead,Spider man,Valorant, and Siege. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): AMD Ryzen 3 3100 3.6 GHz Quad-Core Processor//Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler//MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard//G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory//Crucial P1 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive//Sapphire Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB PULSE Video Card//Corsair 275R Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case//EVGA BQ 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply//Windows OS// Currently those parts above are planned in the build and I wanted to know if there's anymore information on there compatibility and what I want to do. Keynote (looking to run games on High but doesn't need to be absolutely ultra settings. RTX would be nice tho) I'm very inexperienced when it comes to Making sure what Hardware is compatible to what. I tried my best.

I might need help, found my dad's laptop that he hid away as he said the hard drive is "corrupted" or something like that and I'm planning on upgrading the hard drive and ram after this quarantine is over and get back on my job to save up money, could also want to know if this laptop have an upgradable CPU too. It's an Acer Aspire e1-471, tried turning it on and mashing the F2 to go to the setun or mashing F12 to change the Boot Device. It didn't go to any and this is the result: Saying that it's BOOTMGR is missing. Anything I could do to fix this or is this a lost cause?

I know how to do everything but to make my process quicker i want to know if there is a program that converts a simple picture into raw python turtle code? We are doing it in an online program so i cant just import a picture as background. Thanks

Hey guys, A couple of months ago I built my first ever PC, and now that work is slowing down I've started to explore how I might overclock it. I'm using: Intel 7600k cpu. Corsair vengnece 3200MHz 16GB (2x8) LED. Asus Strix z270e motherboard. I've tried switching on XMP in the esay settings. I've gone into the advance setting and altering both XMP and CPU settings (4.5Ghz, 1.325v). In both instances, the PC will not post. I am a complete and utter newb so would value any advice you might have. Many thanks in advance.

Hello internet, I find myself watching Linus and his minions with drool dripping down my chin cause I often have no idea what he’s saying. I love this stuff though. It is so interesting! With all of that being said, Linus has done a fantastic job of getting my curiosity peaked. I want to build a new pc but don’t know really anything about what levels of performance I need. For a first build, what should I look to for absolute necessities and what are some other specs that aren’t necessary but are good starting points for a first time pc builder. I love to game but not at a competitive level. The games I typically play are 1st person shooters, I.e. Rainbow Six Siege, Call is Duty, Battlefield, etc.... like I mentioned, ladies and gentlemen, I am completely new to this so any direction will be welcomed!

New PC build for friend. was working fine at my house on wifi connection. when he took it home it would connect but have no access will be "secured wifi" .Been troubleshooting for 3 days even did a factory reset. The factory reset temporarily fixed itself but only for about half a day until it went back to a secured connection. Would be really surprised if anyone had a suggestion tried about 20 different methods trying to fix it nothing works. When we did get the wifi to work it was only when he was on a metered connection when we changed it back to a non metered connection we lost the internet again not sure if related.

I'm pretty sure I can put it together just fine. It's more of the bios settings and the other software that I need to get the most out of my build that I don't know exactly what to do. I am wanting to OC both the CPU and GPU and will need help and advice with that. Any advice or suggestions to of where to go to learn more will be greatly appreciated. Also, is there anything I still need to get that I will need to build that doesn't already come with the components? Thank you to anyone that replies and helps me out.
