I was looking for a basic side monitor with my only requirements being that it goes into portrait mode and is 24 inches or smaller. Would this be a ideal choice?

So I upgraded my pc to the point it is almost a new build i am using my existing case and gpu. The build is; Asus tuf b550 plus motherboard Ryzen 7 5700x Arctic alpine 23 cpu cooler 32gb corsair vengeance ddr4 ram Msi 1660ti gpu Thermaltake 600w 80+ psu Case is from cyberpower Storage is 250 ssd and 1tb hdd which i will update when i get more funds. I built the pc earlier today and did boot up several times and i was able to update bios, play games, watch youtube and all general use. I shut down the pc after i was happy it was working well for well over an hour, to come back later and it does not boot up. Nobody had been on the pc and it had not been moved. The motherboard has rgb lighting which still lights up when the 24pin connector is in and jumping the power on the front panel isnt working with and without the gpu installed. Does anybody have any idea what else I can check?

Hi There, I assembled my PC yesterday plugged in and got into the BIOS did some settings change everything was detecting and working fine. Everything off and back on and my GPU doesn't seem to fire up. The fan tries to spin but then stops without making any rotations. I tried the same GPU in my older PC and it works fine there. Feels like it is the PSU I'm not able to figure out the problem. Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong form I will list the build components below but here are the questions. about it I'm going 3rd gen Ryzen thredripper and I was wondering how future proof the socket is. I don't want to dump 8k on a computer will not be upgradable in a couple of years. what cooler would you recommend for a 4u Roswell rack mount case I'm not opposed to the idea of using something like the Noctua NH-U9 cooler but ideally what I would do is 3D print shrouds to direct the air through a CPU cooler and across the RAM, vrm's and the gpu's from the 3 center mount 240mm fans and ideally isolate the different high temperature components into separate zones within the case the problem is that the MB really wasn't designed with this in mind I know water cooling can do this with separate rads. I just see that as more points of failure. Another question is what is the difference between the thredripper pro and non pro version. This workstation will be used for multiple simultaneous AutoCAD and SolidWorks workloads as well as a 24/7 live stream and so 4k possible 6k 240fps video editing in aftereffects and DaVinci resolve. AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X or 3990x 128 gb 3600 mHz cl16 4x 32gb starting with 64gb 2x Nvidia Quattro p5000 16 GB starting with one 2x 2tb 970evo raid 0 4x 16TB segate exos raid 0 eventually will have 16x in groups of 4 1x 12tb wd red Nas for SSD backup 1x quad 10Gbps nic EVGA SuperNOVA 1600w 80+ bronze GIGABYTE TRX40 DESIGNARE sTRX4 mother bord Windows 10 pro and Manjaro Linux We have two houses on our property And one will house the workstation/server And the other will house the NAS so I have off-site backup

Hello there, I have just recently purchased new PC (I have selected parts manually). So there's been an issue with all sort of games. Currently I own Motherboard: B550 AORUS ELITE V2, Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GEIL Orion 16GB DDR4 3600mhz, SSD: WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe, Power Supply: TUF-GAMING-650Bronze, Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, Cooling: COOLER MASTER HYPER 212 and the Case has fine airflow. So I wonder why are games like PUBG or Warzone or Witcher III crashing. Usually for Warzone or Witcher III, the game freezes, and I cannot click on anything or select some other process, but the PC is responsive, I can cycle between the processes but cannot actually select for example Task Manager. I select him but it won't react and I cannot terminate the Warzone process in Task Manager. I've tested the pc in Lost Ark and it is working fine. I did one graphics stress test for like 1 hour and it was Geeks 3D FurMark (I selected HD resolution 8x MSAA Anti-aliasing GPU Stress test). Could someone help me determine if it is a component faulty or I have to do something else?

pc builds for gaming Building a new PC for my friend
Baby piss posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Budget (including currency): 1.5K CAD Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Graphic designing, recording while playing slightly demanding games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): so I’m building a new pc for my friend and it’s my first time building one and actually picking the parts, so I was wondering if these parts will be fine.(they’re going to be as screenshots) I told him everything seems fine but I just asked what the rpm on the hard drive is just in case he wants to load his games slightly faster. He’s ordering the pc in December, around the middle of it. He currently is spending 1.5K on this pc. (that’s the total for all the parts and I’ll update once I get more info) he’s probably going to be playing 1080p maybe 1440 since he is going to use a 1660 ti. That’s all if you guys have any questions just reply, I’ll be checking in every now and then throughout the day -
Budget (including currency): 1800GBP Country: UK Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming(nothing too fancy, multiplayer Minecraft, solo games), Adobe Creative Suite, Streaming, Daily driver Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi everyone, I'm planning this build since my last one was back in 2008 and lasted me for over 10 years, I guess it's time.. I'm thinking of a 24inch 144/165hz monitor with the possibility of adding another one in the future. Two 140mm fans in the FRONT, the two 120mm fans that come with the case on TOP and another 120mm fan in the BACK for airflow how does it sound? Please let me know what you think of this setup: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/K444wc Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Hi all, I call upon your wisdom... I recently indiegogo'd the Dr Zaber mini ITX case and just received it - now I want to build in it. I'm currently running a full tower system with a i7 3770k and GTX 1080, though unfortunately none of the parts fit (and I want M.2 slots on my mobo...) Budget is around £1500; short of HEDT stuff this isn't really an issue. The main issue I'm having here is deciding between AMD and Intel: 90% of my use case is gaming @ 3440x1440 resolution Deep down I think I'd like to support AMD since I don't want to give my money to fund intel's complacent nature over the last few years AMD has no decent mini itx mobo's (the ONE that's out has no wifi and only 1 M.2 slot) Ryzen has RAM issues? I'd like to fully utilise some high speed ram and I'm worried that getting a nice set that's compatible may be a hassle. I think more than 4 cores is where we're headed but all the benchmarks I've seen of Ryzen in gaming are much worse than the 7700k. (though these are mostly 1080p benchmarks.) I'm looking at a i7 7700k vs Ryzen 5 1600x (since it has the highest single threaded performance) - cost wise there's about £30 between the two. (surprisingly little). I do some multitasking but it's mostly 30 Chrome tabs open and playing games. So essentially my question(s) to you all are: Will i be making a large sacrifice in gaming performance picking ryzen (say a 1600x) at my resolution (3440x1440)? Will the RAM issues with Ryzen stop me from buying ballin' RGB RAM? Are there better ITX Ryzen motherboards coming soon? Is there any logical reason I should buy Ryzen above Intel (apart from my personal feelings)? Should I wait for new releases coming from intel? Thanks

Hi everyone! I am new to this community and i think now it's perfect to post my upcoming build in June maybe? 1. Location and Budget Actually i want to have a PC below $600, because of obsession i am now maximum $1600 (can add some cents and few bucks). Now for the location i am currently in Indonesia so the currency is Rp (IDR) 2. Aim My friends are inviting me to a YouTube Channel group that produce non gaming videos, so i decided to make this PC as a YouTube Workstation and the most important, Gaming. Gaming for now is in 1080p High and above, but i won't touch 1440p because the budget limitations. Racing games and free roam games is what i like. Also i will take care of Special Syncs later. And Maybe the heaviest game that i can afford is Mass Effect: Andromeda (anyways is it a Mature Game?) 3. Monitors I am currently in a Dell monitor that's old, now i want that budget (in my mind) monitor LG 25UM58-P. No dual monitor setup for now 4. Peripherals I already have three keyboards and mouse, from Logitech and old unknown brands. I need Windows 10, though 5. Reason for Upgrading I have two sets of LGA 775 PC and i really want to upgrade, one i already broke it down and get: 160GB HDD Pixelview GF9400GT Unknown Core 2 Duo Asus motherboard in DDR3 So yeah why not a Ryzen nowadays? Here's the list of what am i getting:https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Ordinarily_great/saved/ygpJxr Thank you community!

What color theme do yall prefer? If your build had to be displayed what color would you want the main components to be? What color theme do you despise? My preferred color theme is Black and White with hints of green (like the Geforce GTX led). I was working on that theme until my motherboard died and I had to go with AsRock Red. yuck. I can live with red.... it's blue that makes me cringe. I can not stand anything blue. There is too many blue themed boards, plus not everything goes with blue. My great grandmother has blue carpet, blue lament flooring, blue counter-tops, blue cabinets, blue walls, furniture with blue in it, blue clothes, it's like the cookie monster was fu#*ing slashed and bled all over every d@mn thing in her Condo! Maybe that is where I get my hate for blue.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WdDp7W Thats around what I have going for me in the build so far. I’m entirely new to the PC side of gaming so I’m not sure if these are good picks. So let’s start with the “needs” Needs to be running: destiny 2 forsaken (graphics aren’t a big deal to me, just need a solid 60-70fps) windows 10 64 bit home edition Logitech c922 webcam OBS Google chrome (maybe two windows open for my twitch chat etc etc) 2 monitors (Asus 248QE & 247HP) At2020 USB microphone Hyper Cloud Alpha headset Miscellaneous usage: While I’m not gaming I’ll be using video editing software to upload game clips and guides. Sum it up: Is this good for a $1400 price point? Again, I’m very very new to PC so overclocking has me baffled and I just have a stock Corsair cooling fan. Couldn’t find it on the part list though. Any help is appreciated! Thank you very much! Animal

This might be a crazy setup, but I am really upset by ventilation problems in a case, so I have decided to go for a rig without a PC case!! I know this might sound insane, but here are the items and plan: AMD based 3600 (stock cooler) + Strix X470-I + G Skill Trident Z 3200 16GB, M.2 Transcend --> Total : $627 2700X (stock Wraith Prism) + Strix X470-I + G Skill Trident Z 3200 16GB, M.2 Transcend --> $660 Intel based 9400F + NH L9i + Strix Z390-I + G Skill Trident Z 3200 16GB, M.2 Transcend --> $618 What you reckon?

Sorry for the long post... My spouse and I finally saved up enough to get gaming computers and I need help getting the best computers for our budget. So we need two complete systems with everything but the chair and desk (computer, monitor, peripherals, and OS). Right now we use our laptops to game and they aren’t enough (mine is a Dell Inspiron 1500, SO’s is a MacBook Air with just a 128GB SSD). We live in Southwest Virginia, in the US (so we’ll use $US). We are aiming for $1800 but have up to $2000 to spend for everything. SO’s needs: - The two games that they play the most are Guild Wars 2 and Sims 4, although they would like the option to play more games, especially more demanding titles which right now aren’t an option. - They want to be able to stream/record their gameplay, edit it some, and post in on Youtube. - They’ll probably still use their laptop for browsing and other small tasks (due to the portability of the Air), they just need the PC for the bigger stuff. - They want a cleaner, sleeker look for their case, probably black with purple or green. A window would be nice but that isn’t super important. - They are just fine with Windows Home. My needs: - I play Guild Wars 2 most (when I’m not in school), but I want to be able to play games like Destiny 2, Tomb Raider, and other AAA games. - I’m a software developer so I need Windows Pro. I do a little bit of iOS development so hackintosh compatible parts would be nice. - I might want to add a second monitor down the line—or even connect to my TV every once and a while—so dual monitor support would be nice. - I’m not picky on my case, but I do like sleek designs and simpler color schemes. I don’t need RGB everything. General needs/wants/thoughts: - I have never tried overclocking anything and I would enjoy the opportunity, but it isn’t a very high priority. - We both would like the option for VR gaming down the line, but we can update the graphics card later if it isn’t ready for that now. - I was thinking that we probably don’t need much more than 1080p, although we wouldn’t mind if a higher resolution fits in the budget. And neither of us does anything competitive or very intense so latency isn’t a very large concern. - There will be plenty of times when I’m not home and my SO could use my computer for handling streaming/video editing if necessary. - I’m not afraid of water cooling, if the build warrants it, with either an AIO or a custom loop. - Feel free to also throw in your game suggestions, we want to really play with our new systems. My goal is to give as much detail as possible but we are definitely not picky, we are happy to work with any/all suggestions. Anyway, I can’t think of any other information that might be helpful, but if you have any questions feel free to ask!

im new to pcs because i want to play realistic military simulators (arma, squad, etc...) anyway, my xbox wont play those games. i have selected a single stick of 4gb ddr4 ram, a 320gb hard drive, an amd ryzen 3 2200g cpu, a gigabyte b450 aorus atx motherboard with built in wifi, and a 400w evga power supply. i know this isnt the best setup, but will it do its intended job?
