Hello. I am building a new pc but want to use my old RAM, GPU, PSU and SSD & Nvme in my build which is a new Aio, CPU and MOBO. I have 2 SSD's 1 Nvme drives. Idk if im doing this right or not but ive read I can just install the new drives on my new mobo, boot the bios and pick my boot drive. I copied the data that has videos and applications installed from my D drive to my E drive. I literally just copy and pasted it. I tried to format My D drive So I can have a fresh drive to load windows on it in the event I cant post. Im really not sure if Im doing this right but im just trying to play it safe. When I go to format my D drive it tells me "the drive is in use another program or process is using this drive" I went into my Disk management on Windows and see that my D drive is listed as "Active, Primary Partition" and my C drive that has windows installed says (Boot, page file, crash dump, Basic data partition) Which seems a lil odd. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Guys, I am a Trader not a hard core gamer. But looking to build my first pc. I wish Linus would do a video on this as there is huge demand for the two interests to combine and if there is a thread on this please point me in the direction. I am looking to run 3 screens and ability to run 6 later would be nice option but with the wide screens now days I am thinking of running a 34 inch ultra wide screen flat panel as the center screen and two 24 inch screens. I am so far looking at 7700k with Asus Maximus 9 formula card. I think the card comes already with an option for duel internet connections.Correct me if I am wrong. 1080 video card but should I have two of these things. Water cooling is a must do project but probably not straight out of the gate.Before I hear you say wait you don`t need big bad ass gaming computer to trade. To that I say pigs &^%. Trading is very competitive where milliseconds count. I have also herd of gold parts used for internet connections etc so if I could also get some help in that area. When not trading I would like to run some of these latest bad ass games that are out now. The ability to control fans and all the stuff I`ve seen so far with these 270 cards seems to be perfect match. Asusroc

I want more time on my gaming pc. I just built it and get a little bummed out when I can’t use it due to my wife hopping on. Shes a student, and loves to play the Sims 4 in addition to her work load, it would also need to stream content easily. I’m planning on making it a wireless pc that I can mount to a wall and have a tv/big monitor to wall mount near it. So she can lounge and do papers and such. I would love to do this for around 500 usd. I also would love any shoutouts to wireless mechanical keyboards, unfortunately peripherals except TV (which I would still love input on a screen that can do 8ish feet away comfortably for gaming, viewing, and word processing.) . i doubt this would take the latest hardware and I am clueless for the previous generations. Hi guys! Just registered to this forum, been watching Linus videos for over 2 months now because I'm building my first pc. I want to use it for light video editing, sound editing (since I'm a musician) and gaming. I came across this bottleneck video that got me thinking... Here is my build: -AMD Ryzen 5 2600x (stock cooler for now) -G.skill (2X8Gb) Trident Z DDR4 3200MHz -ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F -Samsung 250Gb 970 Evo Nvme M.2 -Seagate Barracuda 1Tb -NOX URANO VX750W 80+ Bronze First I thought: I'm not busting the bank so I'm pairing my AMD CPU with an AMD GPU, it'd be good to get an ASUS ROG STRIX RX580 (since my motherboard is already a ROG STRIX). What graphics card should I buy for this purpose? Is the ram's speed ok in this build? Is the ram model the right one? I'm kinda clueless since it's my first build. Am I doing anything wrong? Would you guys recommend getting a used GPU? Need help! Thank you guys.

Hi all, I am fairly new to the PC world and i want to build my first PC. I plan on using the PC to power my many hobbies/interests, so that includes: gaming, editing, multimedia stuff, music creation. etc. ATM my budget is $1200 and with that i need a monitor, mic and keyboard. eventually i want to be able to upgrade to 2 monitors, one of them ultrawide if that makes any difference. I would like to have a clean, black and white theme to the build and still have room in the case to fit watercooling equipment in the future. Okay guys please help me out here? I'm converting to ze master race I have a build and stuff going big for my first gaming PC. CPU - I5 4690k CPU cooler - Corsair H80i GPU - r9 290x/GTX 970 Mobo - Z97/Asus H97/Gigabyte GA Z97MX RAM - 8gb ballistix sport Storage - Seagate Barracuda 1TB Power supply - Corsair 600W Please tell me what motherboard would be most suitable and if that CPU cooler is okay as I don't want my PC to blow or fuck up when I use it or within the first years of having it...I just want to get this right so any advice I would greatly appreciate Also do tell me whether a GTX 970 would be better than the r9 290x, if so then what brand or manufacturer?
