There is a strange Netflix related issue happening on my PC in the past few months. Issue When I am streaming any contents on Netflix Windows app in fullscreen, every time the UI/subtitle comes up and fade out, the screen goes black for a few seconds while the audio continue. This cause Netflix to be unusable in full screen. This used to only be a problem with SDR content but now all content no matter SDR or HDR are like this Local or Youtube HDR/SDR contents (with and without subtitle) have no such issue. More context Since early last year, I got a miniLED monitor, and start watching HDR contents regularly. But since Windows 11 HDR does not auto handle HDR content very well, I turned on HDR in Windows setting 100% of the time. Before the above issue, there is another strange behavior when I fullscreen Netflix video, screen will first go dark a few seconds before running properly. I solved that by following this post on reddit and changed my non main monitor to "Content Type Reported to the Display" to "Desktop Programs". However, started in end of last year, the above is not working anymore and there is a SDR related Netflix streaming issue. I do have latest Netflix update/Windows update/Nvidia driver update, the issue never improve. Setup i5-13400F 32GB DDR4@3600MHz RTX 3080 10GB Windows 11 23H2, with all available Windows updates installed Nvidia driver 546.33 (also happens with the 2 official versions before) Main monitor: INNOCN 27M2V connected with Display Port, running at 4K 144Hz, 10bit, HDR on, G-sync on, HDCP 2.2 supported (I want Netflix to play fullscreen here) 2nd monitor: ASUS VG259QM connected with Display Port, running at 1080p 280Hz, 8bit, HDR off, G-sync on, HDCP 2.2 supported 3rd monitor: Dell U2414H connected with HDMI, running vertically at 1080p 60Hz, 8bit, no HDR, no G-sync, no HDCP 2.2 support, set "Content Type Reported to the Display" to "Desktop Programs" I know base on https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4583/~/4k-uhd-netflix-content-on-nvidia-gpus Netflix 4K is not streaming because my 3rd monitor being not HDCP 2.2 supported, but in 27" 1080p HDR is still bearable.

Hi there! I have a Vizio 70" 4k which supports both, HDR10 and Dolby Vision. After testing both HDR10 (through Windows 10) and Dolby Vision (Through the TV App), I find that Dolby Vision on Netflix looks 10times better. Colours are not washed out on Dolby Vision like they are in HDR10 Dolby Vision is also much brighter than HDR10. I have my PC hooked up to a Dolby Atmos (not to confuse with Vision) receiver which I use to watch Netflix and other movies through my computer. I don't have an easy way to hook up my TV to the receiver unless I get optical (which only supports 7.1 and not bitstream). Anyway... Is there anyway to get Dolby Vision working on Windows 10 through the Netflix app? I pay for the top tier so UHD works for me. I've tried downloading the Dolby Vision app which only gives me a slider which supposedly turns Dolby Vision on. And that kind of works, when it's switched to on, the Netflix app shows "Dolby Vision + Dolby Atmos", but my TV is only running in HDR10 and when I try to load up any movie/tv show it just crashes the app until I either turn off HDR10 (which also turns off Dolby Vision) or just turn off Dolby Vision through their Dolby Vision app. Anyone have any success with Dolby Vision through their PC?

Buying the HEVC Video HEVC Video Extensions on the Microsoft store suddenly fixed everything! And all this time I was questioning why Disney would make all their big budget shows, film them in 4k or greater and only distribute them in 720p. It's madness Microsoft does not include them in Windows by default and more madness that Disney and Netflix and Amazon Prime don't publish this as a solution or tell you you are being limited. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has experienced this.

Hello All, My current desk area contains an L-shaped desk with both my work PC and personal desktop. I currently have a non-smart TV mounted above my work desk that I use to watch YouTube, Netflix, Crunchyroll, etc., but it is hooked up to my personal desktop. Now I am able to turn my chair 90 degrees and I can change what computer/keyboard/mouse I am at to search/pause/play, but I would like to make it even easier. Is there a program/os/emulator out there that acts like a smart tv in the sense that I can consolidate all my streaming apps and use a controller in the app? Steam's Big Picture Mode is basically it, but they removed the browser app and to my knowledge you are unable to access in-Steam web browser anymore. So, unless someone knows where I can get download streaming apps to my desktop without going through the Microsoft store, for now, I don't think Steam's Big Picture is it. I have started to try Bluestacks, but I have to configure the controller controls for each app. So basically, if anyone has any further knowledge about: How to add video streaming services to Steam/where to get desktop apps (not from the MS store). The best way to configure Bluestacks controls and get around the DRM (Digital Rights Management) requirements for streaming service apps. If there is an OS that I can use with Hyper-V. Please let me know. Any additional information would be helpful. Thank you.

Hallo Anyone for a Long time i got this issu with Netfilx.95% of the time it all bad quality picture. i got Wire signal from router 80/50Mbps When i use youtube, Viaplay or other streaming no issu at all. i even change the settings in netflix to only do High. witch not working. Grafigcard is a Evga 970 FTW. old But should not have any issu with 1080 vidoe. and i using firefox updated. if i then go on my Tv witch also is wired to the same router Every thing works with netfilx 1080 4K. and picture perfert. any got some idea what can be the reason ?

so i dont know about anyone else but i like to game while watching a movie on another screen, i have netflix open in browser on one screen and my game open on my main screen, when the movie is playing my system sounds and game sound is mute but when the movie is paused the sounds are normal, does anyone have suggestions that dont include using multiple devices, just want to play games and watch movies.

I am using mi tv 4a pro and connected my Dolby amplifier via digital coaxial cable from tv. When I use plex, it passes the audio through coaxial cable and I am getting Dolby 5.1 audio. But with apps like Netflix, I get only stereo audio. Mi website says this tv support dolby audio but I can't see 5.1 symbol in Netflix. I have a laptop however my amplifier doesn't have hdmi. Is there any way I can get 5.1 output from my tv from Netflix?

I understand apple being apple about VP9 n hevc codecs. But as of big sur these things are almost fixed. Now idk what’s the deal with Netflix app Not being on macs. Chrome books have it. Not saying they should release that app on Mac App Store cause we all know how amazing Mac App Store is (better than windows store though). But even sideloaded app should do. Any one wanna weigh in?

Hi there, For school I have to do this big project. My main question is: Could you make a professional movie with a mobile phone? My sub-questions are; What requirements must a professional film meet? What external accessories for the phone are required to meet the requirements? Is the amount of material that has to be carried for the mobile phone an obstacle? I've been struggling for hours now to find what requirements a professional film has to meet, but the only thing I've found so far is that Netflix needs you to have a true 4k sensor (≤ 4096 photosites wide) and some recording formate (see picture) (picture is a screenshot of a YouTube video, cause the link to the Netflix site doesn't work anymore) Can you guys help me out with the requirements a professional film has to meet?? Sit back and relax, grab a tea, coffee or beverage of choice while I, your town crier, regale you on how Streaming Companies of Mordor have locked us all in to 1080 and stagnated the industry.. Skeptical? I don't blame you, its a large and sweeping claim.. but for balance.. remember how locked we were with DX9? that thing just would not die! until; we starved it to death. Hear ye! Hear Ye! Some time around.. oh 2010?.. we began to get HD content.. internet broadband was fast enough that spinning wheels were slowly disappearing all over YouTube and 'potato cam' of 240p was a thing of shame... Like coming out of a daydream and realizing you have been staring at your friend's grandmother's boobs, and look around and everyone is staring at you.. oh my! These Mordor companies need a wake up call that it's not okay to advertise 4K and not deliver on PC nor is it okay to drag everyone's eyesight down to Magoo levels because they don't have their stuff sorted with DRM. And that's their so called excuse.. DRM.. but that seems like more of a 'you problem' than a 'me problem'. It's not like I/we can fix the DRM for them! It's the 2020's.. and we are still streaming 1080 with our superfast broadband we pay a lot of money for. And don't get me started on how janky and early beta HDR PC streaming is.. Even on TV.. I have a 4K Smart TV with the appropriate apps.. looks downscaled 2K @24fps. I'm just not convinced. So.. is it okay to take the DRM out of 1080 and rip that? no? Why are we allowed 1080 then? Ah! because they had to! They didn't have a choice! We all had 1080 TVs.. and they wanted our money. Wait a minute! So why are they getting the choice this time? And don't we all have 4K TVs now..?? 10 years of 1080 is far too long and no one is saying anything. We are pacified and like Oliver with an empty bowl we meekly go up to them and say; please sir, can we have some more? Remember we pay for these services and media.. they don't just provide it for free.. flip even YT channels with a tiny fraction of these companies budgets give (imho) most users their first taste of 4K.. isn't that a failure on the companies part?? That even though their customers were paying for something their customers had to go elsewhere to get the content.. We get 1080p @24fps.. not even 1080 @ 60fps which is bad enough but a miserly 24fps. Oh how Fagan would cackle looking at their stock prices rise.. potato shame on all these companies.. *potato* I say sir! So if we want 4K streaming one of two things has to happen.. either we stop subbing to their service or another legitimate service streaming provider comes along and blows them out of the water by offering.. flip.. at this point I'll even take 2K@60fps. Here, in Scotland we have a tax from England on TVs called a TV Licence. It's money they take from ill-informed people. I refuse to pay it.. and so the law provisions that if I do not use terrestrial television, I need not pay for a licence.. meaning I am confined to certain catch-up & streaming services only. And even worse than this.. the BBC is a Unionist mouthpiece for the Tories, I am a Scottish Nationalist, there is no way I paying money to fund the BBC (except buying Doctor Who on iTunes). Evil Auntie Edna* sits there with a huge smile on her face; hoovering up all that lovely subscription money and dishing out Magoo vision to PC users. Aren't we the Master-race? .. well no. Not when it comes to getting these companies to cough up what is paid for and owed. I tried.. Kodi with the CDM extension... I tried Bluestacks with the Chrome extension.. I tried *every* browser that I could find. Nothing would give me greater than 1080@24. And in Kodi it was worse with some crazy 896p thing.. I dunno iirc. Now add to this to the new culture that these companies are introducing us to.. start a show then cancel. I am familiar with the idea of commerce.. if something is profitable then keep doing it.. however.. what if short changing us is more profitable? Would they just keep doing that? And what we have left is.. 8 to 12 episode runs of shows then cancelled that we watched in 1080@24fps for £120/€140/$160 a year. And there's the crux.. our *only* move is to unsubscribe.. they have us cornered and they know it. What they fear is mass unsubscription.. and would that really happen for an upgrade in resolution? Basically, I have no idea how to approach this. I'm usually somewhat tech savvy, but this has stumped me because I did nothing to cause this except using Windows (I know, it's deserved). Netflix support has two options, 'update drivers' or 'update windows'. Very nice. Any leads would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone, my girlfriend and I watch netflix together via the teleparty extension for chrome and edge, and discord for communication. This used to work without many issues until recently (approximatly a week ago) when her laptop suddenly started to slow down significantly. Her device is a Surface Pro 4 laptop with 4 gb ram and 128gb ssd storage. Starting a movie in netflix takes forever and sometimes fails after which she gets an error message (Error codes: M7253-5101, M7399-1290, M7703-1003). Furthermore, the audio connection keeps dropping and the time between me saying something and her receiving it grows to like 5-10 seconds. The audio connection does work as long as she does nothing else with the device. We tried a bunch of things to fix it, but nothing worked: - Performed a Speedtest to check internet connection, internet speed should be more than enough and no other device in her home has these issues (15 Mbit/s down and 8 Mbit/s up) - Reduced the video quality - Switched to google meeting for communication - Switched browser (From Edge to Google Chome) - Tried it without the teleparty extension - Tried YouTube, also very slow and the browser shows a message that the tab froze and is not reacting (works without teleparty but still very slow) - Freshly reinstalled windows 10 on her machine - Checked for hardware bottlenecks but according to taskmanager nothing reaches 100% usage, so I assume the hardware should not be the problem (and everything worked flawlessly just a week ago) - ran sfc/scannow via the cmd And a bunch of smaller stuff I found on google. But nothing worked. At this point I am totally stumped and I have no idea what could be the cause. Maybe some video decoding issues, maybe an update that bricked something, maybe the wifi driver is broken, but I am not sure. She wants to avoid buying a new laptop because this one does everything she needs (except for video playback now). Does anyone have any Idea what else we could try?

There are missing episodes and misnumbered episodes in Apple TV. I called Apple and they said to call Netflix. I called Netflix and they said to call Apple. There is a video below to help you understand it better. If you could help that would be great. Thank you for your time.
