Hi. So far, I stacked a lot of stuff into a piece of furniture that was litterally a leftover extra unit of kitchen construction from the people who were living before where I live now. And after 3years, it started to sloooooowly give up. The side of it is, month after month, creeping away to the side, leaving the bottom plate. This "thing" (with my pitiful attempt at "trying" to do something to at least be able to sleep last night and stress a little bit less) is actually where are: -my two storage and virtualization server -my fiber router -my U4 workstation&maincomputer and it's on top of it that are stored a screen, keyboard and KVM switch + loads of spare parts... So, here I am... looking for a rack cabinet between 15 and 18U, deep enough to take in a R720, the cheapest possible that can be delievered in France/EU. I'm quite sick of messaging every marketplace seller asking how deep of a server we can fit in their advertised "600mm deep" cabinet, and be told that the rails are so pushed back that only 45mm deep servers would fit, or that the back panel isn't removable, or only to be never answered. And yeah, I know officially Dell wants 75cm of rack depth and stuff, but aint got that kind of money and this R720 is gonna sit on the bottom like a naughty boy on top of the UPS units. I mean, if someone there knows which brand/place/vendor sells cheapo deep 15 to 18U rack cabinets with non-stellar shipping costs in EU, it would be awesome. That old kitchen cabinet is painfully slowly dislocating.

Hey all, been using a Razer Naga Trinity for a good six month, been a good mouse and I do rate it highly, but the lack of infinite scroll as I had on my MX Performance is slowly driving me up the wall when going through documents and forums. So far I am thinking of handing this to become a spare to my GF, and focus on the MX Master 2s unless their are other options. I am a graphics snob casual gamer (stuff like Shadow Of The Tomb Raider, with a bit of Doom Eternal when I feel like it on the lower difficulty) if that is relevant at all.

Hey guys, just wondering if someone could explain the way bandwidth works with PCIe and graphics cards. Nvidia states that their GTX 1080 ti has Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec) 484? Does this mean it requires this much bandwidth to function at optimal level? I understand that PCIe 3.0 x16 = 16 GBps so how the fudge do we have enough bandwidth for the gpu to work correctly?

I've been planning on upgrade my graphics card from my current gtx 760 but I intended to to upgrade it eventually, but ever since playing things like Tomb Raider 2013 at normal settings kids makes it be choppy and since I've been planing on getting into AAA games like the new Wolfinstein, Arkam Knight, Rise of the Tomb Raider and other games coming but I do frequently play games like starbound, the escapists terraria etc. Here are my current system specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MRE_Teck/saved/Mw7nTW The thing is my mobo doesn't support sli so that makes me lean twords the gtx 980 Also I'm planning on 1440p 144hz.

Hello everyone! So recently my power supply blew out with a couple of sparks(you can see my post on the incident here). I'm currently researching which power supply is going to be best for my PC with future upgrades. From seeing reviews and by preference, the best manufacturers I found to buy a power supply from is Corsair and Antec. So here are my requirements for a new power supply: I'm planning to upgrade to an R9 270, which will bump up the TDP to 339W (original system TDP is 189W) Preferring my wattage to be 400-550W I would like for the cost to be $40-$70 Viewers are aloud to post other brand power supplies, but I would appreciate it if you guys could recommend some Corsair/Antec power supplies! At least 80 PLUS Bronze Power supply that has over-voltage protection and clean power transfer I would appreciate feedback from all of you!

Hello, I am currently building my friend a computer, He will be running a AMD FX-6350 He will have 8GB(4x2gb) g.Skill ripjaws X 1600... The case is a Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 (red) I was going to get a HYPER T4 (The hyper 212 evo won't fit in the case cause it's too tall) I want 2 suggestions. 1. Good motherboard under 200$ Needs to Match my theme of red/black, can hold 4 dimms at 1600MHz.... I will be overclocking. So the VRM's need to be good with a good heatsink... Needs good voltage control and good power phase... I would like to have it around 100$ but I am willing to pay 200$ if it's worth it! I need USB 3.0 support. Plenty of ports for multiple harddrives/SSD's..+ plenty of USB ports. Clean BIOS/UEFI (user friendly) (not overflowing with options) needs to have stable over-clocking potential... This PC is built for gaming at 1080P on medium/High settings and also video editing (6-core for that) I will be putting a 750TI from MSI and a small wireless card... It will be upgraded to dual 960's in SLI so I need SLI and plenty of Lanes....... 2. A good cooler 100$ or less That will fit in the Corsair SPEC-03 . I want good cooling for over-clocking, trustworthy and won't fail on me over time. I will be replacing ANY fans on it with red ringed fans. (Recommend me with a pull/push config (what should I go with? Push or pull)). If you need to know anything els about the PC then just ask, I will answer and soon as possible. . THANKS! ~Matthew

Hello, I am Planning on Building my Own PC soon, and I am in a PC Dilemma. I can't decide between these two builds, and I need help on deciding which one is best for my needs. 1: Budget and Location: My Budget is going to be $600 for now. I'm gradually building this, and I want to have a Decent PC to start. I'm near Augusta, Georgia, so this is $USD. 2:What is the Aim of my PC? I am going to be using my PC for Schoolwork (Just started College), Gaming (Not really competitive, and I'm Playing Team Fortress 2, Combat Arms and Minecraft.), as well as Video Editing and Rendering.(Using AVS Video Editor, nothing much beyond that.). Also, I don't really care about the quality of how I play the game, As long as I can play and record games at Medium settings at 60+ FPS, I'm fine. 3: Monitors: ONLY one monitor. I will not be doing any Multi-Monitor setups or going for a 4K Monitor. I will likely use a 1366x768 or 1920x1080 Monitor. 4:Peripherals: I have a mouse and Keyboard, but I only plan to Upgrade the Mouse soon, as the current mouse I'm using has issues with the right-click button. 5: Why am I upgrading/Building a PC? 1) My Laptop is very outdated now. I've only had it for 3 Years, but It's parts are really starting to become Lackluster. It is a Lenovo B570 Laptop with a Intel Pentium B950 Dual Core at 2.1Ghz, with Intel HD Graphics, 8GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD. at this point, It cannot record games very well, and Video editing and rendering takes quite awhile. Although not very old, I can see now why it was a questionable $300 I spent. 2) I am extremely interested in becoming a Computer Support specialist, and Building my own PC will give me the confidence to go into the Computer industry. Also, I want to make a building experience I can actually enjoy. 3) I want to make a Computer that will last me for awhile. Something that I can upgrade, but may not need to upgrade for awhile. Notes: 1) I actually don't care much about the game quality. As long as it can play games at 720p or 1080p on Medium-Ultra settings at 60+ FPS, I'm fine with it. 2) For video editing, as long as it gets the job done with no issues, I'm fine. I don't care much about it getting done quickly, just efficiently. 3) This will be my first build, and I am not planning to make it a show-off type of build, but something I can be proud of. So here's the two builds I've come up with: Project Phazon: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($289.99 @ TigerDirect) Motherboard: MSI Z97M-G43 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($106.99 @ Directron) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($75.98 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $53.99) Case: Enermax ECA3280A-BL ATX Mid Tower Case ($49.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $29.99) Total: $606.93 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-11-27 22:35 EST-0500 Athlon Dragon: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor ($75.04 @ Mwave) Motherboard: MSI A88XM GAMING Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard ($89.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Kingston Fury Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($68.85 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For $53.99) Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB Video Card ($149.99 @ Newegg) Case: Enermax OSTROG ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $29.99) Total: $512.84 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-11-26 19:49 EST-0500 Which of these builds is best for my situation? Hello all! So, I'm going to water cool my computer in the next week or two. I've got most of the loop figured out, but I need a few last things to be figured out. I need a pump for my loop, and I was looking at the Swiftech MCP655-PWM pump, but the issue I'm having, is it's $212 (USD). I need a pump that will work for my loop, but will be cheaper. What addons for a pump are worth while? PWM? Variable Speed? And just some general help on what would be recommended would be nice Loop contains: 2 GPU 1 CPU 1 Mobo (Gigabyte G.1 Sniper Integrated) 2 360mm Radiators (One is an Alphacool Monsta) 1 120mm Radiator 250ml Tube Res Thanks all

So I recently purchased a Surface Pro 2 (I returned my original Pro) and like every PC that I own I have Steam installed on it. Well a pretty annoying issue has come to my attention, Steam has no touch screen support for the steam client! I know GabeN has a dire hate for Windows 8 but with the growing library of touch enabled games and more and more touch enabled PCs becoming commonplace it's about time that something is done about this. Also Steam's UI scaling is absolutely atrocious! Windows defaults the UI scaling at 150% on my Surface Pro 2, this in turn makes the UI in Steam appear blurry and low res. I know this is a common issue with many apps in Windows, the app developers are just incompetent I suppose. But if I disable the UI scaling it makes the elements way to small to touch or even use the Active Stylus. Touch support is absent from steam big picture mode also! I just wonder how such a thing can be overlooked for so long... What do you guys think? Is anyone else plagued by this annoyance?

Hello I have recently grown an interest for watercooling and thus i have begun the planning for my own liquid cooled beast xD Now i am going to cool my CPU and GPUs which will be a 3930K and a GTX 780. Here is a list of the different watercooling components that i am going to use: CPU block: EK-Supremacy Clean http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-supremacy-clean-csq-nickel.html GPU block and backplate: http://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fc-titan-nickel.html http://www.aquatuning.no/product_info.php/info/p15368_EK-Water-Blocks-EK-FC-Titan-Backplate---Black.html Radiators: two Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Kobber 480mm http://www.aquatuning.no/product_info.php/info/p12349_Alphacool-NexXxoS-XT45-Full-Kobber-480mm.html Pump Alphacool VPP655 Plexi Top http://www.aquatuning.no/product_info.php/info/p12370_Alphacool-VPP655---G1-4-IG-inkl--Plexi-Aufsatz.html Reservoir: http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9576 Coolant: http://www.mayhems.co.uk/shop2/ice-white-1ltr.html the coolant is going to mayhems pastel ice white as I am going for a Red/Black/White color scheme Tubing: I am planning to use Tygon R3603, 1/2"ID -5/8"OD tubing However I am not quite sure if this is the best choice as I want the clearest tubing available, do anyone of you guys have any recommendations? I am planning to go all out with Bitspower fittings including kompressions, 90 degree angles, 45 degree angles and a valve for draining. And the case that’s going to hold all this is going to be the corsair 900D, mainly because I love the look of the thing :D And here is a quick mockup of the tubing routing MS paint FTW, am I right? xD just ignore the dual graphic cards in the picture, as I have later realized that I will not utilize them both. And dont worry i know that the radiators i have are very overkill for the job, but i am going for maximal silence, since i am so annoyed by my computers noice. Anyways am i on the right track here? anything that i am doing wrong? any recommendations on what tubing i should use? any help would be greatly appreciated :D
