  1. Budget (including currency): $7000 AUD Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games, Video Editing, and hobby 2d, 3d cad. Other details : Well Hi all. So I have got myself a NCASE M1 (still to be delivered but shipping this week). I have checked PCI LANES, clearance and many other things however I would like other peoples feed back on how they may setup. Listed is the current Parts below. I would like to be able to under-volt things to try help keep things cool. I have added a couple of Noctua fans to help lower the DB from the standard AIO water cooling fans. I also wanted one of these AORUS FO48U 48" monitors before Linus got himself a free one! Also considering de-shrouding the GPU and putting Noctua fans on it. so if you know of a GPU (NVIDIA?) that fits the M1 de-shrouded please let me know! I can through various websites save around $300 of the below price however currently seeing if mwave.com.au will just match price.

  3. Hey everyone, I made this new account after lurking around the internet for NCase M1 help because I plan on using this case for my first build. My current build consists of: 7700K + Kraken X52 (400mm tube length compared to 300mm of all Corsair AIO units) EVGA 1080 FTW GAMING ACX 3.0 + Right Angle PCIE adapter/extension that I've seen somewhere in this thread Silverstone SFX 700W PSU Two sticks of RAM for 32GB total Fans and the like, most likely high static pressure fans. and thats as far as the important "will it fit?" stuff goes. Will it fit? I am so so close to pulling the trigger on all these parts but I am worried if it won't fit, or wont be able to push graphics to the Acer X34 Predator monitor I plan on gaming with due to heat problems, or if the FTW GAMING ACX card simply wont fit. For full explanations since I've been having a very difficult time finding answers to questions not frequently asked, please see Any suggestions to help maximize performance are more than welcome! I'm aiming to have one of the best damn performing Ncase M1 builds out there, even if it means losing the good looks of the Kraken X52 ;_; (I wanted it in case I can upgrade to Cerberus mATX sometime during the year) Thanks!
  4. Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and have some questions regarding cooling in the Ncase M1. I'm planning my first pc build for this summer and as I have been a console player all my life, I don't know exactly what provides good cooling and quiet operation. From the Ncase homepage I saw the cooler height is limited to 130mm, my question is: Which air cooler should i get? I plan to overclock a little, but low noise is most important. I have not yet decided on Intel or AMD.
  5. Hey guys!Long story short: Need a cooler for my Ncase M1. Needs to handle heat well and FIT!So far I tried 2 coolers. First I tried the Noctua NH-C14S (wanted NH-C14 initially, was unavailable everywhere). Could not fit that bad boy in with a side bracket - that meant no fans so I went ahead and returned it. I then got the Phanteks PH-TC12LS - said has no ram clearance issues. That was a complete lie. fits my z170i only in 1 direction (pipes facing up) BUT only after I removed the assembly that you attach the fan on AND it is still pressing on my RAM really badly so I will be returning it.Now what do I get? I want good cooling performance. My main candidates now are the Phanteks PH-TC14CS and the Noctua NH-C14. What do you guys think? My current build:CPU: Intel Core i7 6700KMB: Asus z170i Pro GamingRAM: Corsair LED (Red) 32GBGPU: Asus GTX 1080 Strix (which I have a problem with, about to create a thread - fan spinning at 100% constantly)OS Storage: Samsung 950 Pro NVMe M.2 256GBData Storage: Samsung 850 1TB SSDCPU Cooler: Noctua NHC14S Phanteks PH-TC14CS ???Case: Ncase M1Case Fans: 4x Corsair ML120 Pro Red Led.(Probably) irrelevant:Monitor Setup: 2x ASUS PG279QMouse: Asus ROG GladiusKeyboard: CoolerMaster Rapid-i white LED.New to the forum, new to the PC Master Race (have been using laptops until recently). Finally decided to put together a nice build for everyday use (with gaming). Any help is much appreciated. EDIT: Posted in the wrong section, can't move it to the Air Cooling anymore
  6. I'd like to casemod my Ncase M1. On Reddit and Youtube i saw some tempered glass mods. On both sites they mention .STL files. But i can't seem to find the mentioned files. Is there anyone who happens to have these files? They are 3D files that need to be printed with a 3D printer (3 parts). I also messaged the persons who made the posts but they have failed to respond.
  7. Hello Everyone! Just wanna share my cleanest NCASE M1 build since I got it. Let me know what you think guys! Specs below. Thanks! 8. Hello everyone, I am totally new to this forum and also quit unexperienced with pc-building. So here I will document my upcoming build with the listed components (below) in a NCASE M1 v.5 mini-itx SFF case. I ditched my previous INWIN 901 case as soon as I discovered the existence of the M1. This gorgeous minimalistic-to-the-max case is already standing on my desk, housing the old components of the 901. (btw if anyone wants a Inwin 901 case in good condition, here is a Link to ebay) I've been reading a lot of reddit and other forum posts about different M1 builds and decided to go with somthing similar to THIS ONE. As a professional designer an aestheticaly pleasing and clean-quality look is important to me. So it was not an easy task to find the perfect components. I am not confident enough and the wallet is also not big enough to go with a fully custom liquid cooled build, so here are the basic consumer parts list: Case - Ncase M1 v.5 PSU - Corsair SFX 600W GPU - old > MSI GTX 1080 Sea Hawk X Hybrid - new > GTX 1080 Ti FE + NZXT G10 + Corsair H75 CPU - Intel i7 7700K (s.1151) MB - Asrock Z270 Fatal1ty ITX/ac RAM - HyperX Fury DDR4 2400Mhz DIMM 2x16GB (I need so much because I work with ram-hungry software like After Effects, Photoshop, etc.) SSD - Samsung 850 Evo 1TB (data-drive) - Samsung 960 Evo M.2 250GB (boot-drive) HDD - Western Digital Red 4TB (back-up drive) Fans - Xilence 92mm Red Wing PWM (rear case exhaust fan) - 2x Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition PWM (for both 120 radiators) ODD - Panasonic slimline slot-in Bluray drive (I am using the pc also as a living-room media center, streaming movies to a projector) The CPU will be cooled through a Corsair H75 AiO watercooler. I can't show any pictures yet apart from the case as I am still collecting parts and waiting for the small stuff to arrive, like fan-filters, cables, etc. I will provide you with photos as soon as the build is ready!! However I can already tell you the color theme: main colors black and red and some whites as secondary. I will customize some parts later to fit the choosen color theme. Not a big fan of these flashy led-light packed systems with show-windows. Way too distracting imo. But thanks to the 3rd empty slot on the bottom of the M1 I want to install a NZXT sleeved white LED kit (this one) and try to get a decent underbody lighting below the case So far so good, I am realy looking forward to finally building it, so exited, can't wait! Now I'd like to take the chance asking you guys for your opinion/feedback/recommendations/thoughts on this project. First pictures of the 'alpha 0.5' build without a GPU: PICTURES
  9. So, I cannot source the pegs that the Ncase uses to normally mount its side panel to the case, which I would have liked to use for a tempered glass side window. So, Im hoping to use your collective brainpower here: 1. How would I be able to seamlessly mount a TG panel to this case? 2. While Im here, how would I create a blacked out trim along the edge of the TG, so I dont have to see the edges of the case
  10. Hey All, I purchased an NCASE M1 for the purpose of building a small ITX form factor gaming computer for my girl friend's family. I decided to spend the extra money on the case so that it has an optical slot opening at the top (https://www.ncases.com/). I looked all over their site and google searched but can not figure out a single "definitely works" dvd/blueray player that I can put in that slim profile. Anyone that has any insight or experience, I'd appreciate some help. Thank you for your time! Sincerely, -CH
  11. D R E A M E N G I N E This will be my first PC build, and I thought i'd start a build log as i'm gathering the parts over the next couple of months. For as long as I could remember I have been a console gamer. I take gaming pretty seriously, and have played Call Of Duty competitive on a couple of titles. I saw some early gameplay of Battlefield One a few months ago and I was amazed at the level of detail that could be achieved with a gaming rig. Seriously, my jaw dropped. This in addition to the plethora of other wins of building a gaming rig compared to console gaming won me over instantly. The goal is to play popular FPS such as Battlefield One at 1080p Ultra @ 120fps+, and other larger games such as The Witcher 3 at a more modest 60fps+. Other demanding uses for the system include programming, 3D modelling + rendering. Here's my build. Case: NCASE M1 Motherboard: EVGA Z170 Stinger CPU: Intel i7 7700k CPU Cooler: Cryorig M9i RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB DDR4 2666MHz PSU: Corsair SF450 GPU: Founder's Edition GTX1070 8GB SSD: Sandisk SSD 240GB Case Fans: Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition Custom Sleeving: Ensourced I also plan on doing some modding. Tempered glass panel window mod New feet design for the M1 to prop it up a little and improve the 'stance' of the case Custom sleeved cables as the original PSU cables are super long for the tiny M1 Follow me along on my first build and feel free to share tips along the way!
  12. I've always loved small form factor cases over bling and led. The build below is my dream build. Having discovered £1 listings on ebay and getting some really good prices for my old hardware I set about building this mini beast. It had to be small, quiet and pack a punch. Fitting the dual AIO's in was a challenge but once the orientation is right it goes in nicely. The CPU AIO radiator is actually sitting over the PSU and the GPU radiator sits over the CPU block. I found this to be the best orientation to avoid kinks. I only use the PC for gaming and Revit which is primarily single threaded so figured a cooler 9700k would be a better fit for the small form factor than a furnace 9900k. Temps 50C/60c gaming CPU GPU RTX games 62c with normal games running around 50c. All in all I'm over the moon with it. Just tempted to swap out to the better noctua fans on the rads. I'll post another pic in its second habitat. The living room tonight. OLED 4k/60hz HDR single player games are a sight to behold. 13. I'm looking to downsize to an ITX chassis with my current build. Current parts: CPU AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT Motherboard Gigabyte X570 Aorus Ultra RAM Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB 4000Mhz CL18 GPU MSI RX 5700 XT Gaming X Case Fractal Design Define 7 Storage Two WD Black SN750 1TB NVMe SSD PSU Corsair AX850 Titanium Display(s) Acer XB273K 2160p 120hz, LG GX OLED 55", Dell Ultrasharp U2720Q, LG 32UN650-W coming in september Cooling NZXT Kraken X63, Four Noctua NF-A12x25 120mm PWM Fans the GPU is a 3 slot [well 2.5 technically] and I need a case that supports that size,. so I can't use the Ghost S1. My current options are the T1, NR200, and NCASE M1. For any of you who have these cases, or know a lot about them, which would you pick for this setup? Thanks.
  14. Hello! I'm planning a Ncase M1 build with an ASUS Z370-i and a NH-U9S cooler. My doubt is: does the corsair dominator platinum RAM fit with these components? I have researched a lot but I haven't found any example picture with this composition, instead I have found same configuration but with corsair vengeance. Can someone give me any clue? Thanks in advance!
  15. UPD: 16.08.2018 Hello guys i started to build PCs when I was 9, I've never built custom water loop PC, but i figured out that Ncase m1 is a good place to start. I have a birthday on August 17, so i thought it would be a good present for myself (egoist). I will be very appreciate for your help. During that build Plans for V1. Make a full but simple custom loop with only singe 240mm radiator on the bottom No cable sleeving for now. 16. So I ended up building what is imo, a beautiful computer inside the Ncase M1. A 240 custom loop, it runs great, and is completely functional, however my only issue is that due to the nature of needing slim 120mm fans, it runs noticeably loud if i want good temps, or, if i run the fans at an okay speed, its temps become shit. My only solution is to jank mount 2x140mm fans to the top to move enough air to help with the temps and noise, but it looks like shit. Needless to say, my dream of a super compact, quiet, and cool pc are dashed, and im going to go back to just an aio of the cpu and the stock heatsink for the gpu. So, I guess im asking where the best place to sell most of the watercooling parts in bulk, at once. (Ya know, see if someone would buy the cpu mount, rad, pump/res, fittings), and maybe the gpu block can be sold separatly. Is my best bet just to put it up on ebay? Or are there any sites you would recommend? 17. Ok so I have already purchased my ncase m1 and have received it. Now I am still on the fence about a lot of the internal components, specifically the psu. I was originally going to get the Silverstone SX700-LPT but the reviews appear to be extremely mixed, and on Newegg it only has 2 reviews and both are negative. I am also worried about clearance for the MSI GTX 1080 that I want to install because I have seen where people say that the cables coming out of PSU push down on the GPUs. So the other option is maybe the Silverstone SX600-G but I run into the same issues with people saying they fail quickly and it's incredibly noisy etc etc. Does anyone have experience with either one of these PSU and this case? In addition has anyone bothered to see if they can get shorter cables from cablemods that accommodate cleaner cable runs? I want to get the Z170I GAMING PRO AC motherboard. By the way I am also considering the Corsair SF600 PSU, but worry about the SFX-L issue. http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qFFGPs
  18. Alright so I finally ordered all of my components for my ncase M1 build, but I have an issue. I am going to populate my case with 4 Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans, two on the side and two on the bottom. I would like for these fans to be controlled by my MOBO but it only has 2 fan headers one for CPU and one for whatever. Now I was wondering if I were to just get a PWM splitter, from Noctua for example, I know it only gets RPM signal from one of the fans, does that mean then that both fans will run at whatever RPM MOBO sets the one fan it can communicate with to? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/qFFGPs
  19. Hello Friends, I am working on building a computer that I can bring with me to my girl friends parent's place in a foreign country as a gift. They don't presently have a PC and her siblings primarily use a console for entertainment. I am planning to build them a small form factor PC that I can easily bring with me. Here are the components I have settled on, please help me make a selection: Cases: ncase m1 (Link: https://www.ncases.com/) , fractal node 202 (Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352058) , dancase (https://www.dan-cases.com/), sentry (http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/) PSU: Silverstone SX 700-LPT, other 600+ watt small form factor PSU (Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256166&cm_re=SILVERSTONE_SX700-LPT_700W-_-17-256-166-_-Product) Motherboard: MSI Gaming Z170l Gaming Pro AC (Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130880&cm_re=Mini_ITX-_-13-130-880-_-Product) CPU: i7-6700k (Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117559&cm_re=Skylake-_-19-117-559-_-Product) RAM: HyperX Fury 2x16GB (32GB total. 20. Hello everyone! At the very beginning of my thread, I must apologize to you that my english is not very good, actually I never thought to build a SFF System until I met the NCASE M1 on a Chinese Hardware Lover's Forum, and I thought this case is AMAZING! So since the last three months I've been planning to build an ITX PC. Finally I finished my NCASE M1 build in last few days and I want to share this build with you. Parts List: CPU: Intel i7 6700K MotherBoard: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT Z170 Graphics Card: ASUS ROG STRIX GTX1070 O8G GAMING Memory: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB (16GBx2) 3000MHz C15 PSU: CORSAIR SF600 Hard Drive: Intel 750 2.5'' SSD + WD 2.5'' 1TB Black Case: NCASE M1 V5.0 (No ODD Slot) CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H100i v2 Fans: Noctua NF-F12 x 2 (Replace the H100i v2 original fan), Noctua NF-A9x14 (Case back air inlet), SilverStone SST-FW121 x 2 (Case bottom air inlet) These are my parts list, when I clicked the "Buy Now" button of STRIX GTX1070 O8G GAMING, I forgot to check the size can or cannot fit NCASE M1, According to THIS IMAGE from official website, the STRIX GTX1070 O8G GAMING is cannot fit NCASE M1 because the size is 298 x 134 x 40mm, and the image says the Maximum height of card is 111mm when card length over 292mm, so I was worried it wouldn't fit until I found a NCASE build whith STRIX 1080 on Reddit. Yes! it can fit the case!! Assemble As you know the i7 6700K used thermal compound beteween core and top cover for cooling, but it works not very well. So I used the "CoolLaboratory Liquid Ultra" to replace thermal compound. And these are final pictures. You can see the STRIX 1070 fits in the NCASE M1 and Almost no extra space, so it's very difficult to install the STRIX 1070, if you do that, you must be very carefully. And I replaced the screws with inner hexagon screws and red washer for nice looking. Because the STRIX 1070 is very long and heavy, I thought I should use something to prop it up, but I didn't found any product fits this case and card, so I made a strut by myself with screw, washer and nut, put it between the card and bottom fan, not bad right? I added dust filter at every air inlet, the case top and right side(mother board back side) filter I used the DemciFilter which a filter maker from South Africa, top filter is good, but there was a problem of side filter-----it's too thick to fit the case, I can't close the side chasis cover if I use this filter, so I abandoned the side filter and fix it, use the 3M double side tape to put it on the PSU air inlet. There also had a problem with back 90mm fan, I can't find a perfect 90mm filter for it, so I made a filter with eh... stocking Final Build Complete! I used a suspension bracket to place the NCASE M1, and put the Wi-Fi moving antennas on the bracket. Thank you for watching!
  21. I've spent some time today creating a theoretical build based around the lovely Ncase just for the fun of the thought of perhaps one day owning something similar. I call it: The Compensator This list is here to be an inspiration for you enthusiasts out there that might be nutz enough to try this build. And there are already several similar crazy builds. Here is the parts-list with some comments here and there. PLEASE NOTE: PRICES ARE EUROPEAN, BASED ON MINDFACTORY.DE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mindlessly Ridiculous X99-build: Case: Ncase M1 V.5 (Estimating 300 EUR including shipping and customs) Mobo: AsRock X99E-ITX/ac 273 EUR (mindfactory.de) Processor: Intel i7-6800K (or larger, depending on how much you want to compensate) 435 EUR RAM: Corsair Vengance LPX 32GB 3000 MHz CL15 170 EUR GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1 Gaming 758 EUR Coolilng System: EK Predator 240 QDC 273 EUR EK-FC1080 GTX G1 Acetal + Nickel Waterblock pre-filled with QDC 147 EUR EK-FC1080 GTX G1 Backplate - Black 30 EUR Yes! It is possible! FAN: Noctua NF-A9 PWM 17 EUR (for mounting in front of the 3.5” drive, below GPU for forcing the airflow upwards) Storage: Samsung 950 Pro 512GB M.2 NVMe-SSD 309 EUR Western Digital Green 4TB 137 EUR Could add an additional 2.5” drive with double-sided tape in the space between 3.5” drive and GPU (as GPU is only taking up 1 expansion slot thanks to the waterblock. PSU: Corsair SF600 Modular 80+ GOLD (has Platinum performance) 110 EUR Optical Disk Drive: NOT FOUND YET Current Price Total: 2959 EUR -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please feel free to add suggestions and comment this "build". I would like to find a Blu-Ray read-drive (with DVD-RW-capabilities if possible) that will fit the case, but I cannot find one, except for this Panasonic which costs ridiculously much. Any suggestions? Some additional comments: - Why EK QDC? Because I am lazy and not very handy, and I dislike the thought of draining and filling out the system myself. YOU can use custom parts if you want to; see the link about the Predator-build. - Why the G1 Gaming? Because it is the cheapest custom PCB-board that EK-supports, lowest TDP and OCs/performs just as good as any other third-party GPU. - Why use a WD Green? It's for mass storage, no need to go black or blue here. Speed is not an issue here. - This build and these parts should also be compatible with the Cougar QBX Enjoy!
  22. Going to be doing my next build using the NCASE M1 v5 and although some parts have turned up I'm still undecided on the graphics card. The current parts list is below, I'm worried that if I go for anything which is not reference it won't fit. Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Impact Z170 (P) CPU: Intel i7-6700k (P) RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB 2133Mhz (O) CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i v2 (P) PSU: Corsair SF 600 (O) SSD: Samsung 1TB 850 Pro (P) GPU: not yet chosen CASE: NCASE M1 v5 (O) (Key: P=Purchased and arrived O=Ordered but not arrived) I'd like to get people's opinions the case is great (saw one and can't wait for mine to arrive) and I think the rest of the parts should do well in this build. Thanks Everyone
  23. So I'm building a SFF gaming build in an NCASE M1. I have a working computer atm, but it has a crappy (borrowed) GPU in it, as I was waiting for Pascal to come out before I made a purchase. It is a small form-factor build, so I've heard a blower-style card could be beneficial. However, one of my goals here was to make a small, silent gaming PC. Everything else in my build thus far is silent, or close to it. I'd trade thermals for silence, personally (to a point of course; no 90ºC GPUs for me just for silence's sake). Any suggestions? I know we haven't really heard any of these nitty gritty details yet, but any speculation based off of previous events?
  24. This bit is context, skip to second paragraph for question. So i've always had a wanting to make a custom loop for my ncase system, but due to my lack of overall knowledge and how cheap i am, plus asthetics, i never got around to it. Skip to now, i had looked into the ekwb predator expandable aio, and just adding a block to my gpu as well sounded like a relatively cheap and easy idea. That went to hell when i found out it would only fit if i bent the ncase a bit (NOOOOOOO). So finally i came across the swiftech h220. It fits according to the specs, but thats all i seem to know. With the h220 I need to know 2 things, the first is, if i added a gpu block, would the pump be able to handle it without trouble. Secondly, how would that affect the temps knowing I want to keep the fan rpm's low (this is all about lower temps and being quieter) *NOTE* this is the original h220, not the 220x or etc.
