Since yesterday my voice communication software doesn't seem to work properly anymore. Other people can hear me but I can't hear them. I first thought this problem was just discord so I restarted my computer to be disappointed. Today I switch to Teamspeak to try there and I still have the same problem. All audio from browsers, apps, and games still work. It's only other people's voices that I can't hear. I tried changing so many settings in discord. I have even deleted my server and created another one. Since restarting my computer doesn't help it my best guess is that this is something I can fix in the windows 10 settings or control panel. I just don't know how to do it nor what to do.

From what I've noticed, Discord has gained significant popularity and is beginning to rival the big players in voice chat software (Teamspeak, Mumble, etc). The 2 biggest things that separate Discord from the rest are: 1. Good and easy to use UI 2. 100% free I myself have pretty much switched from TS3. I don't have to pay for a server with my friends, and to an extent we find it a lot easier to use that TS3. However I have found that TS3 is capable of MUCH better audio quality than Discord. Is this true for everyone else? Another big thing I like about Discord is the friends system and the servers tab. Super easy to see if friend are online and what they're playing, and what people are in which servers. Anybody else feel this way? If this keeps up I can see Discord becoming the biggest player and take the throne from Teamspeak 3/Mumble/Skype/etc.

Title pretty it says much. I'm planning to run Linux on it with both a mumble and ftp server. Here are some things I'm also looking for in regards to the mobo: -An integrated cpu would be nice to save cash but isn't a requirement -passive cooling maybe (obviously don't need much processing power) -Onboard video should be suported as there is no need for discrete graphics in this scenario -MUST be relatively low-power

There are a few out there, like myself, who either hate their ingame crosshairs, don't have one, or have "Where the hell is my crosshair?" syndrome. There are also others who enjoy editing their game and making it feel more like their own. If you're either one of these, or just genuinely curious, you might enjoy looking into this. During my search to find the best crosshair overlay solution, in the farthest regions of google, I found a program that was created for business, that, funny as it is, does the job better than mumble, Asus monitors, programs that were created especially for crosshair overlays, and whatever in between. It's called Custom Desktop Logo and it allows you to easily center your crosshair, edit it's alpha, position, the file that's being used, and most interestingly, it's animations. An example of its drop down menu where you can: close it, hide it (very helpful) and go to it's settings, (but I usually use the .ini file located inside it's directory ^-^). If you're going to play a game that uses a different crosshair or not use this program at all then there you have it. An example of me editing the crosshair in Paint.net on my right monitor (my preferred program) and messing with the settings in both the .ini file and in the nice little ui the program has on my left (The program displaying the ini is NotePad++). Like the crosshair you have in a game but still lose track of it? Try adding a circle or line with multiple colors to make it stand out in both bright and dark environments...or add some epileptic animations for more fun. Games like Tribes:Ascend are notorious for having the worst crosshairs so you can turn off the ingame one and use one of your own. Games like Rust or Dayz can go crazy with animations and what the crosshair looks like as well. This one is using 18fps but it's sort of...a picture. -I know crosshair overlays are debated in games that are supposed to be 'realistic' but I see no problem with it. It's not 'cheating' or anything like that but I don't really want to start that debate again. -As far as the animations go I haven't noticed any performance decrease using them but my computer is slightly beefy (gtx 660), however, when I tried doing a decently large 30 fps crosshair on my shitty school laptop it didn't really start doing bad until it covered what was basically the whole screen. -Some people won't understand the point of this and especially the point of animations but I love it. -Know how to put programs in startup files or immediately start a program off a flash drive when it's plugged in? Go ahead and flash gigantic flashy pictures and troll faces on other people's monitors. The version that I currently have and the few crosshairs in it. Hi guys, While I was watching the stream today Linus and Slick mentioned something about calling into the stream so it's easier to answer questions. But what about a Teamspeak 3 or Mumble server so people can get on the teamspeak/mumble and everyone can get easily checked if they have a 'serious' question. Also people can help each other in seperate channels for instance. If Slick wants to play games with the community it is also a great hub for people! Tell me what you think below! ;) Greetz Lex

Hey. I am planning to get about 5 friends and play minecraft and do a survival thing on my private server. I want a way for us all to communicate easily. Everyone uses different voips some use skype some use google talk. I have used mumble before. I don't mind running a server i have the knowledge and extra computers to run a server. I briefly used TS3. I would like to avoid razer comms and skype due to some strange issues with my pc and my cpu usage going sky high when running either of the two. What do yall recommend. It needs to be easy to set up the client because my friends are not tech savvy and not taxing on the clients computers.

I'm here in need of your help! First off, I'm from Sweden and my budget is limited to 2000kr/€220/$300/£175 for headphone and microphone combined. I'll be using them 10-14 hours daily, largely for gaming/music purposes. I do talk in voice communication programs a lot i.e. skype, teamspeak and ventrilo. Therefore I would really like a quality mic but without a popfilter if possible. I've no idea what sort of microphone I want that my budget would allow after a decent pair of headphones. The Samson Meteor seems alright? Only heard of one streamer using it (Reckful) but he has additional audio equipment along with it. I enjoy quite a hefty amount of bass. I've been keeping an eye out for Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 Ohm but I dunno if I can power it by only my motherboard, Yes/no/maybe? I don't really understand how (Ohm) work power wise.
