So I'm trying to set up my pc to run two instances of windows and so valorant on it using the Aster v7 tool. Everything worked pretty great till I started the game and realised that Valorant locks any other mouse input to the system the moment you start the game. I haven't been able to find any way online to get this up and running. I even tried assigning 2 different usb controllers to the individual instances, but it still wasn't successful. If anyone has any tips, that would be really amazing. Thanks

Budget (including currency): $10000-$12000 CAD Country: Canada I want to create a system for multiseat for 4 people. I want it to be over the top powerful as it will be for gaming and content streaming at 4K. i have a system made here(https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MLt7W4 (i want to have 4x 3080s of the same model but pcpp only lets you add one)) but am wondering what i need to do to run peripherals the 10-30 meters required to get to the rooms where i need to output display and input for each Aster instance. if anyone has any tips on how to do this I would greatly appreciate it. My main concern is how i am going to connect peripherals to it as i do not want peoples mouse and keyboard dying in the middle of a game. i want to have a minimum of 8 tb of storage and i will give each of the gaming stations 2 tb and the media consumption 1.5 tb EDIT: I forgot about audio. i will also need audio to go to each of the 4 separate seats and am not sure on how to do that either

Before I even start... Yes, I realize I could buy low end/used PCs. Yes, I realize this project isn't necessary. Yes, I want to proceed anyway, so long as its at least slightly practical. Ok, so I'm working on setting up a makerspace. Its a slow process and I'm trying to piece it together as we go so that it grows to fit our community. The first things we are wanting to add are 3D printers and workstations to be able to create models and run the slicer. Today we just need Fusion 360 and Cura(and maybe a couple related programs), but down the road we will likely add some graphics software(Photoshop, Illustrator, etc), developer software(Visual Studio, Arduino IDE, Sketch, etc). So our workstations won't necessarily be doing a lot of heavy lifting, but I'd like to offer a decent experience for the people that come in to work on projects. Here's what I'm looking at: 1x Host(PC/Server) Good specs, not over the top Primary OS can be Windows or Linux. I'm more familiar with windows but am willing to work with linux if its better for the project. 10x Clients Bare bones machines remoting into the PC/Server OR Remote Peripherals connected back to the PC/Server Based on my current understanding, I would prefer that the Host be running virtual machines that can be accessed via remote connection. My reasoning is that I could always add more VMs and allow members to remote into the host using their own device(laptop, phone, tablet). This way they can use whatever software is available without having to take a seat from someone that doesn't have their own device. Also, supposedly creating VMs that use dynamic resources is much easier than it used to be. If I understand correctly, I could create 100 VMs but the hardware resources are only split between the VMs that are currently being used. Let me know what you think. I could only find one similar thread, but it was from 2015 and I'm pretty sure there have been some technological advancements since then.

I can't find any related information or videos, how to do a multiseat step by step with a single GPU

Hi, I've got a Ryzen 3900x with 32 GB RAM and a single RX 580 GPU that's enough for my gaming. Given the number of threads (24), I'd like to be able to use this by two users simultaneously. Say, one user for Adobe work (CPU heavy, light on GPU) and user two for gaming (GPU heavy, CPU light). I've got two monitors and two sets of mice and keyboard already (one set for couch gaming, one for desktop work). How do I set this up on Windows 10? Preferably not going the VFIO route. Is it even possible?

Hello after 4 years of watching LTT i come to forum for help I have my system: I7-6700k 16GB ram Asus maximus viii gene Msi gtx 1060 I will sell all of them expect GPU I am gamer also a videographer So before people ask why? Why i want to make a multiseat system. I live with my gf 1 year now and we decide to do some upgrade we both play games (overwatch call of duty and more) and we both work the one photographer the other videographer so we have to do some editing. With one system i have less noise in the room less heat less electric bill and less parts to buy thats why i want multiseat system. I am looking for one good system not overkill im not familiar with multiseat so i have questions... First what are they needs like i need 2 GPUs to be sli or just 2 random graphics will do the work one for each user? Second for the CPU im looking for more cache or more processors? Third 32Gb of ram will be fine for all my needs? And last what program to use to make the multiseat My budget only for the system looking around 1300-1450$ and the items i need is (motherboard, cpu, ram, psu) For The cooler and the second gpu i know what i need so only for the rest i need help Thanks for reading i dont know if my English is well written..if not im sorry

Hi guys! I'm using aster program and sandboxie so i could use 2 monitors, 2 keyboards and 2 mouses with only 1 pc to play in different games with my friends. However, when im opening conan trough sandboxie, it doesn't launch, saying that he cant launch battleEye (anti-cheat of conan). I can launch game without battle eye, to play only on unofficial servers, then it launches and works normally. But, if i launch 2 conans on my pc simultaneously, the one that started second can't connect to any steam server. Any suggestions?

Hey guys hope you're doing great. So i run into a bit of trouble after trying to play Conan Exiles with my friend. I use Aster multiseat and Sandboxie for the 2 steam instances. We both bought the game and i have 2 Steams installed aswell as the game. Now on pc 1 (without sandboxie) i dont have any problems, but on pc 2 (with sandboxie) i cant see any servers or cant start the anticheat engine. I run it as admin but nomatter what i do i cant see any servers. Where am i going wrong ?

Game we will play: PUBG, CSGO, R6S, maybe even destiny 2.... any tips or trick i should know? i planned to buy a GTX 1060 to pair with the setup, expand the ram to 16gb and also buy 2 HDD for both of the "PC" i will setup with my tower. I know people often said just buy an mid range one but the scenario is only when my friend come to sleep over, and also by multi seat, i can run my pc often without have to turn the other one so it will not get dusty and wet inside (tropical country problem) And also i don't know if my cpu can handle or i should update to a multi-cpu motherboard and buy another cpu? i really need some good tips and maybe tutorial and guidance. I'm on budget so i can't afford to buy the item and then abandon the project. BTW without my project, i will have to play with my shitty 950m laptop which get overheat as fast as my stove. I'm looking to combine my wife's PC into mine, and transform her's into a mini-itx for lan/backup. Many reasons, including that is easier for me to take care/tune of only one PC, and she mostly surf the web or uses Lightroom and ocasionaly plays Broforce, Borderlands 2 or Downwell (very light games). Hello, after spending hours looking for the solution online, I've come here to get some ideas. Basically I don't have any experience with virtualization, so I mostly need someone to point me in the right direction and to give me the "Dos and dont's" on the subject. I'd like to turn my desktop PC in two stations: 1st station - Gaming/Work station 2nd station - Media center/NAS I'd like both to have a separate set of inputs (keyboard, mouse, optionally network) and dedicated outputs (video, audio, can do both via HDMI). By dedicated outputs I mean every station using the exact output. If possible, I'd like both to be able to access the internal and external storage disks. Gaming/Work station would run windows (7 or 10) and Media center/NAS would run Ubuntu (or some other Linux distro). Now, before you point me to Linus' multistation build/tutorial videos, let me note that I've seen and considered using Unraid, but I'd still like to explore my options and have someone say "Unraid is the way to go" or "Unraid is just not going to cut it for you". I tried the simplest approach - using VirtualBox - but I didn't see this kind of virtualization come anywhere close to what I want. My current rig specs are: Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 CPU: Intel i7-4790K RAM: 16GB (2x 8GB DDR3) Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX750 Ti Disks 240GB SSD (sata3; main OS) 120GB SSD (sata3; used to be Ubuntu, now meant for the Media center/NAS) 4 internal storage disks (sata3) 4 external storage disks (2x USB2.0, 2x USB3.0) OS: 64-bit Windows 7 Hardware upgrades are acceptable. Questions are: Can I even make this work? Would I need two graphics cards in order to truly separate and dedicate the outputs? Could this be done by Media center/NAS station using onboard graphics? Would Unraid be suitable for this? What are the alternatives or more suitable solutions? Would it make more sense to just build another PC for Media center/Nas? Any kind of thoughts, suggestions and pointers are welcome and appreciated

So recently, I purchased a license for Aster, which is a Multiseat program, similar to the video Linus did with 2 gamers, 1 cpu, but instead it installs into windows and you can switch from having 2 workstations to one easily, all done in windows 10. So the issue I had was running two steam instances, which I fixed with a program called Sandboxie. I installed two copies of steam in two separate HDDs and two copies of CSGO (Counter strike global offensive). Now with the issue... Aster: http://www.ibik.ru *Keep in mind these workstations are on ONE pc and are being run by Aster (Multiseat program) On workstation 1: I am using everything normally, as I would on my pc everyday, so opening up steam and starting up CS:GO, no issues there. On workstation 2: I open up steam and run the game, works just fine, but when i open steam on work station 1, it says an instance of steam is already running, so no problem, sandboxie saves the day and I have two instances of steam, the sandboxie one running on workstation 2. Now when I try to start CS:GO on workstation 2 with sandboxie, boom nothing happens, I reinstall it, verify game cache, delete sandboxie sandbox contents, and try again and again, but it doesn't work. So I just open steam in sandboxie, and try run the game, and close steam again, and redo this like 30 times, and then the game launches! Now when I close it, it will not re-open again, and it will give me the same issue, no error codes no nothing. When I click the play button for the game, my steam icon turns green saying I'm playing it and my library shows: Counter Strike: Global Offensive - Running. And after 2 seconds goes back to a blue steam icon meaning I'm online and my library just shows the games name again, like its not launched at all. I've reinstalled my drivers, and everything etc. but thats not the problem since the game works on both workstations perfectly using normal steam, but i can't run them at the same time without sandboxie, and I am using different accounts with the game purchased twice. Any help would be appreciated! (Issue is with sandboxie)
