My Dell 7020 died, so I bought a Dell 9020 (second-hand, obviously). I work with three monitors. The first, I connected VGA to VGA, no problem. The second, Display port to VGA via an adapter. No problem. The third monitor is connected display port to diplay port, and the computer fails to recognise it. Any ideas?

A friend of mine who is preparing a small business store asked me for an advice, and I'm asking you, the community, for help.In short, He wants 8 speakers which are easy to use and permanently connected to power. He is planning to use them mostly for ambient soundscapes (nature and birds.) His budget is $800 US. Also, he wants the option to add more in the future. What do you you recommend. I'd really appreciate if you could help.

So my current setup has 4 screens, 3 across and one ontop, in extended mode. One 49 inch Samsung CRG9 with an lg 29inch on top all mounted to a sim racing setup. At my desk I have a Dell 31.5 s3220dgf and a 27 inch acer 1080p next to it. they are all hooked up to my 1070 TI, will freesync work on my 49 inch and 31.5, Only game one at a time of course. Do I need to switch settings around when gaming on the 49 or 31.5?

is it possible to add two different Graphics Cards to one Computer? I have a RTX 3060 in my build and have a NVS 310 lying around. Can I use them both at the same time? I already tried to install both at the same time, but the drivers wouldn't load and only one display worked. Do I have to install new drivers in addition to the already installed, or is it impossible to get it working?

A “world” basically would it be possible to host multiple monitors on a vr display? just seems like a simple stupid idea, i can’t be the only one to consider it Thanks peeps!

I plan to buy some wireless earbuds which would probably be connected to: Personal Phone: 65% of the time Personal PC: 25% of the time Work Laptop: 10% of the time How could I smoothly switch between these devices without much hassle? As per my past experience, it's always been a pain in the ass doing so... having to turn off bluetooth, re-sync and stuff like that.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direct to learning how to optimize my video settings across 3 displays. I know nothing about this and I think my current settings could be improved. Performance currently seems fine even while gaming and having other screens playing video ect but I think quality could be improved. I game on the Dell GSYNC monitor, video usually on the 4K TV but I do switch around. Video card: EVGA NVidia GTX 960 SSC 4GB http://www.evga.com/articles/00895/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-960/ Display 1: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00847TYYO/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Display 2:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IOO4SGK/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Display 3: https://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-SmartCast-E50u-D2-Theater-resolution/dp/B01L5VZWL4/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486951193&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=VIZIO+SmartCast+E-Series+48"+Class+(47.51"+Diag.)+4K+Ultra+HD+2160p+120Hz+Smart+Home+Theater+Display+w%2F+Chromecast+built-in+(E48u-D0) TV/GSYNC monitors are using an HDMI cord while the HP monitor has a DVI-I. Goals: Know how to optimize setting for quality across each display. Program? Existing guide? Anything would be appreciated.

Hello! I'm currently upgrading my setup: I have a Macbook for daily use and light tasks, and I'm currently building a PC for 3D-CAD Workstation and Gaming use. Because I'll be only working on one computer at a time, I only use one Display and one set of peripherals (mouse, keyboard). Now I'm searching for the perfect combo to use. For the Mouse I'm most likely going with the Logitech MX Master, because it's a great mouse for Work and Games, it works with Windows and Mac OSX and (the most important part) it has a switch technology so I can switch between the two devices. Now I'm looking for an equally good keyboard, something that is wireless, good for gaming and work (maybe mechanical keyswitches) and has a switch function to work with MAC and Windows. I don't need a full keyboard, so no numblock or something like that. Logitech only offers something like this (https://www.logitech.com/de-de/product/k780-multi-device-wireless-keyboard?crid=27) which is probably not the best for gaming/work. Do you have any tipps? Is it fine to use two different ram kits? For instance, I buy two GSkill Trident Z RGB 8GB ram sticks DDR4-3200 (part of one kit). and put them in my motherboard. A month later I buy the exact same product, two GSkill Trident Z RGB 8GB ram sticks DDR4-3200 (part of one kit). And then put those in my motherboard as well. Will this cause any problems?

Hi all, I'm an enthusiast gamer who plays primarily CSGO apart from games such as Payday2, rocket league, NFS, etc. I also used to stream my games at 720p/60fps with a slight drop in fps ingame, but not enough to make the game unplayable. But since the windows 10 update, my ingame FPS in CSGO has lowered by about 60 fps putting in under 144 fps while streaming (yes, I know this is still a lot but I play csgo on a 144hz monitor and <144 fps makes the game very laggy). Here is my set up: Monitor 1: Asus 144hz 24" gaming monitor (Dual-link DVI) Primary Monitor 2: Samsung 24" monitor (Display port (GPU) to HDMI cable (monitor)) Desktop extended TV: TCL RokuTV (HDMI to GPU) Mirrored with Monitor 1 Spec: Gigabyte gaming 7 MB 1150 socket i5-4690K (OC to 4.5GHz) Gigabyte windforce 3x GTX 970 (OC) 16gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM 1866 Windows 10 (DVR turned off and XBOX app removed manually) OBS studio 16.2 I used to be able to run CSGO at around 300fps easy and around 200fps while streaming. I am wondering if the windows update did anything else that could possibly be affecting the FPS ingame or if having the mirrored TV splits the GPU resources and hence lowers my ingame FPS. If this infact is the case, any ideas on how to deal with this situation? I would like to mirror my monitor on to my TV so I can turn one off for the other depending on if I am on my couch or gaming at my desk. Please be nice. Thanks, Scarfoot

Hello everyone. Since I found no answer in the interwebs and this forum yet I hope to find an answer now. Here a description of our situation: 1. ISP modem in bridge mode (Because we need more than one public IP) Connect Box for UPC - cbn ch7465lg-lc 2. TL-WDR4300 3. Zy-Xel GS 108 B Switch. Why a switch? Because we have to! No direct connections to the router possible due to long distance. 4. PC's We are 3 guys in the same flat and want to play the same games at the same time every now and then. For example ArmA 3 Battlefield series, CoD series, Rainbow Six Siege etc. The problem is that often we can't join the same lobby/server or after some minutes at least one person gets kicked or times out. I know this is probably because of the ports. I already made static IP's for each pc, changed the userports in the game properties, but it's a whole bunch of really annoying work to to that stuff for every game. I usually used the fuction "virtual server" on the router to forward the ports. But there also is a function called "port trigger" which, as far as I understood, makes an own connection with a user when a certain port is triggered. Which means no problems while gaming even with no forwarded ports or custom userports of the games. Sadly our router only has 20 slots available for this function and it does not support the amount of games we used to play together since some games already need several slots. Now my real questions about this are: - Can anyone explain me how networking works to understand what's really needed and what's not? - Do I do unnessecarry things in my setup? - Do I just need an other router? Are there routers with more than 20 slots to trigger ports to make life easier? - Is there just no other solution than the annoying port forwarding? - And last but not least: Why the hell isn't it possible with the current state of technology to play a game with 2 or more players at the same time without any problems? I really hope I'll find some answers in here or at least some helpfull tips to get slightly in the direction of what I could do to make the situation better. Greez Consi

I'm wondering if this is possible but have no experience in this area so I am hoping you guys can help me out. I want to partition my 2TB seagate external USB 3.0 drive into three sections to do the following: 1TB - Would clone my 1TB Raid in my computer when I plug it in once a week 256GB - Would be partitioned in OS Extended Journal to use as a time machine backup for my Macbook The rest - would be used for file storage and transfers between OSX and Windows 10 so I am guessing it needs to be in EXFAT? If this is possible I'd appreciate if I could learn how. Just want to make sure it is possible before going through the trouble of sorting and clearing out the drive.

So I'm currently using a Netgear nighthawk ac1900 c7000. I need to change it because even though it's advertised as a gigabit modem and router it can't push past 250 megabits. So I ordered a xb6 from Comcast to get the full speed. But I don't want to lose my Netgear nighthawk because it has a built-in nas feature where you connect some USB storage in the back of it (I put it in advanced mode and put a powered USB hub on the back and put multiple USB hard drives in the back in raid) but if I use the new xb6 modem/router combo will I still be able to use the Netgear nighthawk. Im pretty sure I can I would just have to have a separate network for people on wifi. Or maybe hardwire the two modems together and then the new network will be able to pick up network drives on the old one. Idk please let me know what you think.

Hello, i wanted to move my pc far away from my desk, maybe into another room(10-20 m) and i was wondering how can i get my usb ports and video outputs from my pc to my desk. I have 3 monitors using hdmi dp and dvi connections. all of them are 1080p although one of them is 144hz and all of them are connected to my gpu. So i was wondering if there was a hub that had 3 display inputs, and a thunderbolt output or something like that. Or would it be enough just to buy longer dvi hdmi and dp cables? Please suggest any solutions. Thank you.

So, my friend just told me he wants to go nuts on his first ever PC-Build, as in, dual-1080's. He is a professional 3D-Artist/Illustrator and he could actually use the GPU power and VRAM for work. But he would also like to use the PC for gaming as he is now just gaming off a Macbook which he wishes to replace with this PC too. So my Idea was, based on usecase, he could boot a virtual mashine via Unraid to game, and boot another one on which he could work, since his power-usage/GPU/CPU power and storage affected won't be affected by eachother in case he does use this method. Any Ideas? Was my Idea a total fail or non-logical? Would he be better off my just gaming off his finished mashine at full power and also work with it?

I have two audio sources, my PC, and the output from an HDMI switch with my consoles plugged in. I have two places for the audio to go, a headphone amp with 2 inputs and 1 output, and my desk speakers. I want to make a setup where nothing has to be plugged or unplugged to work together, just switched with buttons and such. I used the Yamaha AG03 mixer but it game me problems. I had it outputting to my headphone amp and my desk speakers but it always added some noise to the signal. I hooked up my HDMI switch directly to my headphone amp and it worked beautifully, but when passing through my mixer it had ALOT of noise. I tried everything to fix it but I just couldn't make it work. I tried using an HDMI audio extractor outputting to the mixer instead of the lower-quality on-board the HDMI switch, but that resulted in the same problem. So, I have to cut out the mixer. I would love to find some kind of matrix that would let me chose which audio source could go to which output, but no one makes a budget friendly version. I was thinking about having 2 separate 2 in 1 out audio switches and using one as an input selector and one as an output selector, but I'm worried about how much that might degrade the signal, plus, NO ONE makes a good looking audio switch for a reasonable price. Can anyone help me? How do you guys have your audio set up?

I'm trying to find a solution where I am able to use one set of 2.1 Logitech Speakers that connect via one AUX cable to multiple devices without have to plug them into the difference devices. For example, the headphone port in my monitors to get the sound from my Chromecast to the speakers as well as being able to use the speakers on my desktop and possibly other devices I wish to connect. Essentially I'm looking for an AUX input hub to a single output AUX connector that I can plug my speakers into. I've tried searching for a few things but no luck. I don't think I'm searching for the right things. Hope this isn't a confusing request. Thanks

So, I had a great plan for a project, but I'm not sure if such a product exists. I wanted to install a Radeon VII in my full ATX desktop PC, on a "vertical riser" of sorts, but the riser acts as a switch between the x16 it's plugged into and a Thunderbolt/USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 out. The main function of this is so that I could use my VII in my main PC, but could flip a switch and plug in my Macbook Pro to do music and video editing without the need to switch monitors or buy a second graphics card/enclosure. I also don't want to plug an enclosure to both PCs, so that I have maximum performance on my main, and so an enclosure won't take up unnecessary space. If anyone knows of such a product, or if there is a way to accomplish this otherwise, please let me know! Open to any ideas!

I have recently bought a Netgear R7800 as I finally lost patience with my ISP provided piece of crap (UK- Sky Hub SR102) which I have had for years. Have now switched all devices/ smart home bits and pieces over to the new router and disabled the wifi on the Sky Hub. Last thing to do now is try and get the ports forwarded which I had set up on my SkyHub but having real trouble. Do I remove all the port forwarding from the sky hub and just configure the netgear? I have tried some many different configs but just cannot seem to get it correct. I have assigned static IPs for my netgear within the sky hub and then also my NAS within the netgear but cant get it to play nice. Any help would be much appreciated.
