I have Intel 660P NVMe 1TB When i download something or update something rather the average response time in ms varies from 50ms all the way up to 2000ms or literally 2s at that point. Why is such a big latency? Is it because disk cannot spread the information on all the chips and is limited to lets say 1 chip left if you are like 80-90% full? and as soon as it gets to like 30-50ms the disk active time gets to 100% which makes my pc unusable which makes it lag really hard. I've never experienced something like that when i bought the disk in 2019. The disk is always at around 60%-80% capacity. It's kind of crazy for something like that to happen to an NVMe, the last time i was experiencing that was with hard drives lmao. quite sad. Now I know that it is ideal to have more space on the disk itself, but i truly doubt the capacity is the true and only culprit here, is it perhaps TBW? and how it compares to more than just one 1TB disk? If you have like 2TB-4TB at the same % of occupation it should still work faster, right?

i had a problem with high ms. thought it was the wlan adapter. it semms its not. Situation: we have VDSL 100down 20up we have a router (Fritz 6490) and i am using the repeater (FRITZ 7490). I plugged a LAN cable into the repeater and use that. the Repeater is connected via WLAN to the Master router. both routers are up to date everything good cable is also ok. My router is connected via 2.4GHZ to the repeater. now the problem : Antwort von 2a00:1450:4001:821::2003: Zeit=335ms Antwort von 2a00:1450:4001:821::2003: Zeit=1655ms Antwort von 2a00:1450:4001:821::2003: Zeit=2632ms Antwort von 2a00:1450:4001:821::2003: Zeit=1432ms Zeitüberschreitung der Anforderung. Can anyone tell the difference between 4 and 5 milliseconds, or even 1 ms? They all look pretty similar and I can’t tell a difference even between 1 and 5 ms. Is there any difference between them that is “game-changing” or a “must-have feature?”

Something happend with my internet connection and it's causing my fps to drop because of dsync I believe. Baisicly when my ping/ms spikes from about 7ms to 20ms every 2 seconds, my fps drops for like 20fps which causes huge lag spikes. I've tried the obvious like reseting the router, reseting the PC, updating drivers, nothing works. I can't find any solutions. Please help! Specs if needed: Ryzen 7 2700X ASUS ROG STRIX 2080 8 gb OC ASUS X470 CORSAIR Vengence 2x8 gb 3000Mhz

So this program called "Microsoft Compatility Telemetry" or something like that has a very high disc usage, which seems to be causing trouble for me when playing games like GTA V. So my questions are, what is it and can i just close it down if it uses alot of disc space and is what is causing lag or fps issues when i play GTA V. Here is my specs in case you need that to help me out.. Win10 - I5 4690K - 8GB Ram - ASUS B85M-G - ASUS GTX 970 - 1TB Seagate HDD

Ok i will start off by explaining the situation, Im a serious media junky/photographer/Videographer who keeps all his raws on Archive and want to add a layer of protection in instead of just using cold storage. I have a Large scale Plex library that i need Parity to give some fail over safety. Not got matching drives so rules Raid out in the normal sense. Currently running around 14TB of Media from 2x 8TB WD Golds with 44TB potentially available. Looked into FlexRaid, ZFS, UnRaid, Raid 1-5 as an option but haven't been able to settle on a hard decision. Windows Storage spaces certainly looks interesting, Next to no press coverage about it, Appears to have ability to add SSD's as a write cache and read speeds i would imagine would be absolutely fine as far as Plex goes on the network but not sure. I Cant justify a full custom server atm so need to make do with hot swap bays and my Lian Li Cube with Icydock hotswap drives (4x http://www.icydock.com/goods.php?id=157) and a 6x bay 2.5" enclosure (http://www.icydock.com/goods.php?id=151) If anybody has any good ideas as far as what would be best to maximise performance given my situation. For not my Drives are as follows: 2x 8TB WD Gold Enterprise 2x 6TB Seagate Enterprise 2x 4TB WD SE 2x 4TB WD Green 5x 2TB WD Green (currently in a drobo but can be transferred and made usable) Totally open to any advice given! Thanks!

Mobo k30ad_m31ad_m51ad_m32ad Wifi adapter AC600 Wlanusb So I don't have this MS fluctuation issue with any other computer, but the issue is at every house I've been to, all with different routers, all with different internet providers. Any idea what it is? It fixes when I plug in through ethernet but unfortunately I don't have that pleasure in the house I'm at now. Maybe it's a driver I'm missing or something by chance? The MS spikes in anything, games, pinging sites, etc. Plugging it into the front panel USB it's at roughly 40 and spikes to 100-ish in games, but plugging it into the mobo it's at 400-600 spiking to 800, any help would be appreciated in fixing this.

Hi all, Matt Salopek here. I'd like to think I know a good bit about pc gaming and hardware, but this is stumping me hard. Correct me if I'm wrong, but "frametime," displayed in "ms" in Afterburner OSD and otherwise, is the small amount of time it takes for input to be recognized by the game, the frame to be rendered, and then put to the display. It seems to be most noticeable in the delay between strafing the mouse and the game reacting to it. I've been wrestling to decrease this for months. I'm not exactly sure what normal is, but basically in all games I have, my frametime seems to be around 10-15 ms, which is quite noticeable. The only game in which it is low enough to be almost imperceptible is Fortnite, in which the ms reads around 5 or 6. I cannot tell if it depends on hardware or what. For example, in Fortnite, obviously not too demanding of a game, running 1080p I get 70-100fps with 5 or so ms. However, in Shadow of War, a more demanding game, I can get 60-70 fps at 1440p but have an ms of at least 15, making it much harder to play. How can the game look and run great, even at 1440p, but still have that high of a frametime? Ugh. Let me be clear--it seems that everyone else's problem with frametime is inconsistency and stuttering. With me, I have consistently high frametime. I don't really have stuttering, just lots of delay between mouse/input and response. I have done a lot of monitoring with Afterburner OSD and cannot see anything else what would be indicative of my problem. I'm overclocking both CPU and GPU, but never see either at 100% usage, so I guess I don't have a bottleneck from either? My setup is a Ryzen 5 1600, and RX 580 4gb and 16gb DDR4. I also have an MSI MAG27CQ 5 or less ms response time monitor. I'll attach my dxdiag report too. I thank any and all who have some input or help. Thanks! DxDiag.txt

Current Monitors: BenQ XL2411T(Main) LG E2351(Second) I have been racking my brain for a few weeks now trying to choose a new monitor (VA/IPS), i was pretty much set on a MPG27CQ but then realised VA panels have a really bad issue with ghosting which i would not find acceptable as all i do on my computer is game. I then started to look more in to IPS Panels but as most of us already know the lowest ms on IPS is 4ms, so my question is how does 4ms(IPS) hold up against 1ms(TN). Anymore information about VA panels would also be appreciated but it seems you can not escape ghosting on these models.

Hi, I've had this issue for a while now and I've tried finding a solution multiple times before, but without success. I'm on WIFI and the router is one floor below, in a house with weaponized concrete walls. When I'm playing any game, such as CSGO, my ping will be about 25 - 40 consistently. But every now and then (could be only a couple of times during a 40 minute match, could be basically the whole match) my ping will shoot up to somewhere around 1500 and maintain a high ping for a few seconds or longer. Occasionally, the game will even freeze and disconnect me from the server. The ping can also just be generally unstable and go up and down a lot more often. I've tried using a different WIFI adapter for my PC, but without improvement. Could it just be the fact that I'm using WIFI? Or is it something else? I've added an ingame clip of when the ping can suddenly skyrocket. Feel free to ask questions and I hope someone can help :-) -ReThorb_ highping1.mp4

Hey all, So I feel like I know the answer is going to be "nothing that can be done" but I'm going to ask anyway. I have a HP Envy 13 laptop, the one with an MX150 and I've found that with certain games regardless of settings it seems blurred. I haven't got any issues with frame rates, one of the affected games is Warframe which I can easily hit 90 fps in. I've tried every combination of vsync on and off, in game frame limiter without vsyncs, etc. Nothing seems to help. My conclusion is that the IPS display has a fairly slow pixel response time and in fast paced games the display can't keep up with the changes in game. I tried searching for information about whether or not it's possible to improve a pixel response rate through some form of software level overdrive and couldn't find anything. So I thought I'd ask here anyway in case someone is aware of anything that can be done. Any help is appreciated Many thanks

Im getting extremely vexed by the developments of these past few days and I need your help. Ever since I've gotten Windows 10, Ive been plagued with ping over 999, packet loss, and more network issues. Ive set windows to metred connection and still I get this. Is there any way to isolate network traffic directly to my game and only my game, and restrict network usage for anything else? Any help is appreciated, from simple settings to registry tweaks. Thank you

Hello, My Name Is Jonathan and i'm having a network issue, I live in the EU and I recently I started having like 1000MS in overwatch, minecraft, fortnite, in shortcut - every online game, and I checked maybe somehow my server switched in those games but nope, still EU and I switched to America on overwatch and I got 200 ping, which is much better but still not the playable ping (for me atleast) and how is it possible that I get less ping in the other region, and idk if it's something with my network or not but I checked on https://gameserverping.com/overwatch and my MS on EU West Is 60MS and on EU North About 60MS so I am wondering why when I play the game the MS is so high but when I check through some websites on many games, I get a normal MS (the one I had before it started which is about 40-80 ping) it started like a few days, if ur wondering what is the Network's (the network provider) Name, It is called "Partner" In Israel. never had this before and I am using this network provider for like a year now. please help me since the coronavirus is in my country and is spreading pretty rapidly I got nothing to do but I need to stay home.

In a move that will shock no one in this point in time, MS will be laying off 2850 more employees from it's mobile division. It as been a terrible ride for MS's mobile division ever since the acquisition of Nokia's devices and services business back in 2013 for 5,4 billion €. Since then 18000 ex nokia employs have lost their job in the following year, in 2015 7800 more had to leave, earlier this year MS's had to sell the feature phone business for 242 Million $ and in the following weeks lay off 1850 people. No words from MS's on which region will be hit this time (last time the majority of the 1850 were from Finland). In a US regulatory filling MS said: source: http://www.technobuffalo.com/2016/07/29/microsoft-to-cut-an-additional-2850-jobs/ The Nokia acquisition by MS as proven to be one of the worst purchases in the history of the company, i just wished the team behind Cortana would be the one to get the axe instead of the ex Nokia employees.

I found this while browsing through the Mobile app store on my 950XL in Continuum. Apparently the United States Postal Service has found it appealing to make and support a current app for WM10. I do not send many packages through the USPS so I personally don't have much use for it but apparently it is well received by many WM10 users. Interesting. [click to enlarge picture]
