  1. Hey guys thought I'd share my experiences with a New razer product I picked up and gave me nothing but trouble initially! I upgraded from the Abyssus which was great, plug and play no Driver install nothing, but I was cleaning out my Abyssus after pulling the shell appart and it lost responsivness when clicking So be delicate cleaning inside the mouse. I had asked on the Razer Reddit forum and they said when I was getting Avast and other Virus software telling me files in my Razer drivers were Trojans they suggested it was NOT a false positive. It was always the same files, if not all the uninstallers for the Razer drivers. Yet there was one for each component of the software yet when you run synapse it keeps everything under a single program which further added too my confusion. Here is the issue, with a specific game. My mouse would act.. sporadic even cutting out for very long intervals. If a game was running (only seemed to happen in one game) I would unplug my mouse and plug it back in as it used to solve the issue for controllers or anyother inputs that are out of sync/ calibration. Well this little mamba decides it no likey being unplugged so windows instantly blue screens. Yet the problem presisted for this game, where mouse input was shotty and wobbly yet my mouse cost as much as a mechanical keyboard.. I cleaned the sensor at bottom which did improve the mouse cutting in and out in other games mind you. So I looked into this Synapse software a bit, I found they offer Tournament Drivers for internet free install. This sounded good, too create them just look through the ordinary Synapse and find where you can create tournament drivers. When I loaded this installed onto a USB it actually blue screened the first time trying too install it. Well now heres the kicker. I decided to roll back before I got this mouse. I boot up my PC without internet cord plugged in, (hear me out) The mouse was plugged in. So When I rolled back the Razer driver wasn't trying to auto install on boot/ restart. Than I took my Synapse installer for the Tournament drivers (which still will connect to the internet if it has the chance) You have to preset your profiles just to let you know as synapse is a "cloud" software and you won't be able to change the tournement drivers. So I set up all my profiles how I wanted before hand, even made use of the extra buttons on the mamba too allow for fast switching between profiles reserving only one button for Dpi change. This proved to be enough for my use, but for FPS you could put in two if you work out a way to keep the profile switching smooth. You don't need to do this but you can open Synapse with the tournament drivers just thing is you can't change your Hotkeys for one or your RGB profiles secondly. It is inconvienient but I was having game breaking gameplay issues as it was. If I want to make more I use anouther operating system with regular old Synapse 2.0 and I can reload new profiles onto a USB and trasfer it too my gaming OS. So I installed Synapse without the internet? so doesn't solve my issue first try. I try again, this time I managed to do it because the windows update actually will install drivers like Synapse through windows update, however this wasn't my issue. The issue I had was the installers / named uninstall.exe were showing up as trojans every time I installed the software. Anouther Razer owner told me he got nothing when he scanned with Avast so he said it's most likley not a False Positive. So I decided since my settings can't change niether will the driver. So After installing Synapse tournament I went through my windows folders. Tracked down all my Synapse and Razer files, and changed the security settings so they could not be modified by any user or the System for that matter. So only I can update them intentionally. After this step I plugged in my internet and did anouther scan and no virus showed up. This solved my blue screen and the input dropping compleatly. Havn't had an issue since. I know it sounds silly but the blue screens were related to a driver error when I unplugged the mouse ingame. On desktop it was fine, and several other games it was also fine to unplug. Just the one game I guess. Not sure what was causing the Unistall.exe to show up as Viruses when doing anti virus scan but the issue was resolved when I changed modify Access for all users. No more freezing, and not a single blue screen yet ^^
  2. A brand new mouse by Patriot called the V570. It's equipped with a Avago 9800 sensor for up to 12,000dpi. Omron switch for the 2 main buttons and customizable weights. The mouse has is designed for MMO/FPS players, which is the reason why there are tons of buttons and they're programmable. It also features RGB and cost at a MSRP of $60 bucks. https://www.techpowerup.com/232753/patriots-viper-v570-hybrid-fps-mmo-mouse-available-for-purchase
  3. I've been having pains in the top of my hand. Hoping a wrist pad can fix this, any recommendations?
  4. Hey, I'm looking for a cheap budget mouse (roughly $30 CAD) which works well and is of a decent quality. I'm not looking for something that has to be super flashy but that will last a while and is suitable for gaming. Thanks
  5. Please bear with me, as this is my first guide. Feel free to give me constructive criticism. Hello all! Today I'm going to show you how to USE YOUR WIIMOTE AND NUNCHUCK AS YOUR MOUSE (and keyboard, too!) Actually you can use pretty much any controller. Non-nintendo controllers don't even need the first download. First and foremost: This is NOT a guide on how to make it so you can wave your WiiMote around and have it move the mouse on the screen. If you want to do that, there's an instructibles here and a How-to-geek guide here. You can also use a different custom driver found in the first link under "What do I need?". I've found the GlovePIE method quite finicky (doesn't work all the time), but YMMV. This is a guide on how to use the joystick (or whatever buttons you like) as your mouse and/or keyboard. I've found that there is little to no perceptible input latency. This is a guide for Windows 8.1 and 10 only. However, I'm guessing it won't be hard to figure out what to do for Windows 7 based on this. Why would you want to do this? The WiiMote and Nunchuck are significantly more ergonomic that any mouse, and most controllers. Unlike the latter two, you can wrap your hand all the way around a WiiMote or joystick which I find very comfortable. You can also control your computer across the room, but without needing a surface like you would for a wireless mouse. Finally, it looks really cool and you can show it off to your friends. What do I need? You will need four things: 1) A custom WiiMote driver made by Julian Löhr. You can download this here (download gamepad). 2) A software called JoyToKey. You can download it here. 3) A WiiMote 4) Bluetooth 5) Nunchuck (recommended) Step 1: Download the driver. Once the driver is downloaded, unzip it and run TinyInstaller.exe. The author of the driver unfortunately does not have a Code Signing Certificate yet, so you'll need to disable Driver Signature Verification before connecting your WiiMote. If you don't know how to do this, How-To-Geek made a handy guide you can use here. Step 2: Once you've disabled Driver Signature Verification and restarted, connect your WiiMote. To do this, open up Bluetooth in System Settings → Devices → Bluetooth. For newer WiiMotes, you will need to connect to your computer using the button on the back (possible under the battery cover). However, for old WiiMotes without MotionPlus built in, you can just hold down ➀ and ➁. You should see something like Nintendo RVL-CNT-01 Show up. -TR will be added to the end of it if you're using a newer WiiMote. Click [Pair] or [Connect]. A popup dialog will show, asking for a password. Fortunately, you can just click Next without inputting a password. After this, you may see the word Connecting... following some spinning dots. I find that you can just click [Cancel] and the remote will still connect. After clicking cancel, a bar will appear under the WiiMote, and you can let it finish "loading." To check to see if the WiiMote was connected successfully, press the Windows button, and search USB. Click "Set Up USB Game Controllers." Your WiiMote should be listed there. Step 3: Here's the fun part! Run JoyToKey, and press a button on your controller. The button you press will be highlighted in yellow in the program, so you know what button corresponds to what. You can easily double-click the desired button you want to change and set it to what you want it to do. I have made my own configuration for normal mouse use, as well as for the game Portal 2. The downloads will be listed at the bottom. Limitations: -You CAN use this without JoyToKey - however, I have not been able to get it to work with Steam Big Picture Mode or Portal 2. -According to the JoyToKey website, it won't work with some programs Known issues: ...Copied from Julian Loehr's webpage, with a couple edits -When powering off the Wii Remote or moving out of the Bluetooth range, Windows won’t recognize the Wii Remote is gone. Manually remove the remote in the Bluetooth settings. -When shutting down Windows, the Wii Remote Device won’t be ejected and is still present on next start up. Manually remove the remote in the Bluetooth settings. -When using other Bluetooth devices, they may stop working, until the Wii Remote is disconnected. -Other Programs that need to communicate directly with the Wii Remote may not work. -Trigger axis split, renders the last two versions of the driver unusable for GTA V. -Incompatible with the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack -Driver Signature Verification Other issues: -Sometimes the WiiMote will not work properly with JoyToKey. A simple fix to this is to click Options at the top, then Configure. Click Advanced Setting for Each Device at the top, and move around the Joystick or press a few buttons, then close it an everything should work properly. Preset Configurations: Mouse.cfg (Uses Nunchuck as mouse. Feel free to edit both of these however you wish.) Portal.cfg (Raise sensitivity in-game. By default it will be very slow so you can get around menus, etc. better.) Need any other help, or have suggestions? Just post it below! I'm planning on making a video (and adding helpful images) showing this off (as well as a walkthrough) in the future.
  6. I've setup my Razer Blade 14 2014 to be the server and my client being my Lenovo Yoga 11". Every time I try to move the cursor from my server to the client it gets stuck on the lower right hand corner over the show/peek desktop button, and when I move the cursor using the track pad on the client laptop it moves, but then when I try using the track pad or mouse from the server laptop it doesn't, but I can use the right and left clicks and even the keyboard. I tried to follow the instructions that had me disable display scaling on high DPI settings on the client machine and restarting but that didn't work. However when the server was my desktop PC I was able to move the cursor no problem, across my Razer Blade and Lenovo Yoga. I thought it was because my desktop monitor was a 1920x1080 resolution monitor and my Razer laptop was a 3200x1800, and my Lenovo is a 1366x768 resolution laptop so I reduced the screen resolution on my laptop and tried it but that didn't work either. Can anyone help me?
  7. hello hopefully some one has a fix, when i play Call of duty like MW, MW2, MW3 Black ops, and black ops 2 i get extreme mouse acceleration with razor synapse on only in call of duty no other games. i don't get it in black ops 3 or infinite warfare. i don't have a razor mouse but have a razor chroma keyboard when i close razor synapse there is no mouse acceleration in the games. hopefully some can help me fix this issue
  8. Hi, I was using my M.M.O. 7 for ages (I had three of them), as I got really used to its features (I could browse web and do a lot of stuff without even touching my keyboard), but the build quality sucked (hence why I had three of them), maybe that's why Mad Catz went bankrupt couple weeks ago (sad days). As my last one is starting to have same problems as previous ones (scroll scrolling in random directions and double clicking etc.), I bought myself G502 and MX Master to try and either keep both of them, or send one back. Issue is, the Mx master is pretty comfortable, yet I still wish it was a bit longer (then it would fit my hand almost perfectly, the G502 is almost perfectly long (its 6mm longer than MX Master)), but its not a gaming mouse. Its not that bad for work, but the DPI just kills it. Also, the side scroll button just sucks (mainly compared to one on M.M.O. 7, you don't even know if you are rotating it or even touching it in first place) and its similar for forward and back buttons, the should be next to each other, then my finger would be touching the scroll wheel without me having to move it back. So RN IDK if I will keep it for work (or maybe take it to work), or just return it. And well, the G502 is pretty good, except the shift button position (like, you just cant press some of the buttons while holding it) and id say also the G7 and G8 buttons. But I could ignore that, if it was longer, wider and taller. The M.M.O. 7 was first mouse that I naturally palm gripped, every mouse before was either claw or fingertip grip, but I do not enjoy it. So my question is: Is there a mouse with features similar to M.M.O. 7 / G502, that is wired and similar to MX Master just a bit longer? Ideal size would be IMO (extrapolated from sizes of G502 and MX Master): Width: 75-80mm Height: 49mm Length: 132-135mm And if you're asking about the price, well, lets say the M.M.O. 7 cost me about 110€ and I had three of them... So if its below 150 - 200€, I don't care. Oh and I am from central EU. Thanks.
  9. Ever since I got my first PC iv always used Cyborg, MadCatz Items and I'm looking at getting a new mouse and keyboard. I'm using the MadCatz V7 Keyboard and the MadCatz R.A.T 9 mouse. Could I get some suggestions on what to get? Iv got big hands so I need something large for a mouse cabled or wireless. It needs to be used for gaming. For the keyboard I would love to have hotkeys, shortcut keys like the keyboard I'm using. I feel outdated and my mouse is starting to not be responsive. Any suggestions would be great.
  10. So recently I started experiencing issues with the USB ports on my PC. After some time (it varies from hours to minutes) all of the USB ports stop working. Also if audio is being played it gets corrupted and starts emitting static noises. I connect my Keyboard, mouse, and headphones through USB so the computer essentially becomes unusable. Restarting the PC solves all of the above problems it but it is very annoying when it happens in middle of something important. I have tried different USB devices (Wireless and Wired Keyboard, Mouse, Flash drive) and none of those are registered by the system. The aforementioned devices work like they normally would on my laptop. The 3.5 mm audio jacks continue to perform normally. If a youtube video is playing then it continues to play normally. So its not like the OS freezes or anything like that.I even tried upgrading from Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit to Windows 10 64 bit but the problem still persists. So I would say that the problem is solely hardware related. So guys please help me here. Its so annoying. (This is my first time using LTT forums so if I have posted it in wrong section then I am really sorry. )
  11. 12. So, after 9 months of frequent use, my Cooler Master Devastator II mouse has crapped out on me, as the scroll wheel is starting to fail. Tried cleaning the wheel, and it didn't fix the problem. So, I'm now looking for a new, better, more durable/reliable mouse to replace it before the wheel becomes unusable. However, I am having trouble choosing a mouse from a list of four: Steelseries Rival 100 Corsair Sabre Cougar Revenger Razer DeathAdder Chroma The Rival is $30. The other three are $50. Now, I am leaning towards the Rival due to its cheaper price tag, and the fact that it received the HardwareCanucks Dam Good Value award. Although...all of these mice have gotten good reviews across the board, so idk. Is there anything about any of the $50 mice that you guys would say is worth an extra $20 over the Rival 100? Also, if you guys have any suggestions outside of these mice, let me know. My price range is $30-$50. I don't want to spend any more than $50 on a mouse, but I also don't want to go too cheap and get another mouse with a one-year lifespan. Also, I would really like my next mouse to have RGB or at least blue lights so that it can match the blue backlights on my Devastator II keyboard.
  13. Hi, I currently use a CM xornet 2 mouse and have tried to set its rgb mouse wheel to spectrum mode through the cooler master software but, unfortunately, my craving for rgb was left unsatisfied as I discovered that it wouldn't work.
  14. So, I've had a CM Storm Spawn for years, and since I've got a claw grip, it's perfect. Since, every other mouse has felt too thin, cramped, and uncomfortable. Sadly for my Spawn, the buttons are feeling a bit mushy. I've had to repair the middle mouse button already, and I'm considering just replacing the switches, but I want to use this as an excuse to look at mice that may be an upgrade. Unfortunately, the Spawn, Xornet, and Xornet II have been discontinued and the remaining Xornets that are for sale are pretty inconsistent in terms of stock and are typically way overpriced. Are there any mice that are comparable to the CM Storm Spawn in terms of ergonomics for claw grip users? I don't care about having the most perfectly tuned mouse for gaming and I'll take good ergonomics over extreme precision mouse tracking and things alike. To me, things like Zowie and Steelseries mice don't feel right when using a claw grip due to their symmetrical and bubbled shapes compared to the "paw" shape (as the rocket jump ninja describes it) of the spawn/xornet mice. For reference, here's the shape I'm talking about; As you can see, it has a ledge for your finger, is wider than a typical mouse, and I'd say it's length is comparable to a laptop travel mouse.
  15. I was looking at my mouse the other day after I noticed the scroll wheel started to feel a bit nasty under my finger. Upon closer inspection, the metallic finish is rippled and bubbling, appearing to be corroded. Is this fixable? Can I get a replacement? Would it be better to install a new wheel?
  16. Looking for a mouse that's a mix of gaming and productivity. Something that's not too "gamery". Big with a good heavy weight, (nothing that feels like a toy) If it has LEDs I'd prefer rgb. I spotted a really nice mouse in one of Pauls hardware's setup tour videos and it looked really nice, but I can't figure out what it is. Anyway, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.
  17. Hi, guys! The day has come - my already quite damaged mouse has officially broken. I've been using it for almost 10 years and if the cable didn't become faulty, I'd probably still use it. It was an A4tech X-710F. I've seen many mice in stores, but I was never able to find any that was close to its level of comfort. But now I have to pick another one. For the past few hours, I've been using a wireless mouse from my laptop as a replacement. That was more than enough to make my make up my mind - I want a very decent wireless mouse. After some amount of in-shop testing, I've found one mouse that is quite similar to the one I've been using - Razer Deathadder. In Poland, it can be found cheaply online, but I wouldn't want to go wired again. I have bought a Razer keyboard around a year ago and I'm very happy with it and its build quality. I have a Razer mousepad too, so the branding continuity would be nice, but not necessary. Anyway, few moments of research later I've come across a wireless mouse that (judging by opinions and comparison photos) is almost the same in size and shape - Razer Mamba Elite 4G (because I don't have money for the 5G model). However, I can't be exactly sure about that, since I can't test it anywhere nearby, but I'll keep looking. There is also one mouse that I remember that I like and can get at a pretty good price, but I'm not sure that I'll like for longer periods of time - the Logitech MX Master. And so I'm not sure which one to choose or if there is any better at all :\ I deeply hope that you'll be able to help me decide! If you have some experience with those, want to share an opinion or suggest something else then feel free to do so! I don't care about RGB or branding - I want it to be similar in terms of comfort with Razer Deathadder (smaller is ok, but not bigger), new, if possible wireless, work for years and to cost around 65$ with a maximum of 80$. Huge thanks in advance, Thomas
  18. I have this really annoying issue that has manifested itself suddenly yesterday afternoon that occurs only after watching Youtube videos (linustechtips of course!). The issue is this: when moving my mouse, my PC lags. The cursor will jump around rather than move fluidly across the screen. If a video is playing, the audio will make annoying screeching sounds and the video will chop. I've tried to spot if a process is causing the issue in Task manager but due to the lag, I can't see if CPU or memory resources are spiking in real-time. I can tell though that CPU usage does spike, I just don't know what's causing it. I almost always use Chrome, but can confirm the issue occurs in Firefox as well. Once the mouse lag issue starts, it'll happen in any program and even the desktop with nothing running. The lag issue never occurs unless I watch a video. I ran a plethora of virus scanners - nothing detected. I tried changing the mouse usb ports - issue persists regardless of port. If I use my iphone as a wireless mouse via Air Mouse, the issue doesn't occur. I have my PC connected to two screens; one is my TV and the other is a touch monitor. No lag ever occurs using the touch monitor either. Using only one screen, regardless of screen, won't resolve the issue. All my drivers are up to date. I never installed anything between today and last month. Something obviously changed. How, I don't know. I'm running Windows 8.1 and games play just fine so this isn't a video card issue either. UPDATE: Resource Monitor shows that when the mouse moves during video playback, Maximum Frequency jumps to over 100% (going as high as 110%) and correlates with the lag/video chop/audio screeching. It also shows a process called System Interrupts that hoards CPU resources when the issue occurs (going from 0 to 25 at times) Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? I fear this may be a sign my cpu is dying. It's an Intel i5 3750k.
  19. mouse

I recently started working as an engineer and having to use the provided mouse for very long periods (and with deadlines can't just say fuck it and go for a smoothie as i did when i was studying). Unfortunately my hand doesn't seem to be designed for long periods of mouse usage and send shooting pain through my aim not forgetting the cramping. Question With most of you doing long periods of editing what in you opinion would be a good ergonomic mouse for long periods of time. Thanks
  20. I bought a Razer mamba TE and i'm experiencing issues I already went to give my old back in change of new one until I read about the sensor problem being common just asking if I should try getting money back I'm furious about how a company can make such a terrible product.
  21. Basically I need a new mouse and I'm considering G502 and G900. I like the fact that the G900 is wireless and lighter, but I'm not sure if those two things alone are enough to justify spending basically double [here, the g502 is like 85$ while the g900 is 160$] on it. And I haven't tried either, but being right-handed I think I'd find the non-ambidextrous design, aka of G502, more comfortable. oh and I'm pretty sure I'm using a palm/claw/hybrid grip; my hands are small too
  22. I've been searching for an inexpensive gaming mouse for playing Hearthstone (a casual card game) and browsing the web. I've mainly been looking at the Corsair Harpoon and the Logitech M705 Marathon becase my hands are tiny. I also considered the Razer Deathadder 2013, but I think it's too big for my hands. Have you had any bad experiences with either of them or can you recommend one over the other?
  23. My mouse stops tracking when making long and fast (about 23cm swipes) swipes over my mousepad, it just stops midway. I've tried slowing down and it solves the problem which poses some issues when making fast 180 degree turns in Overwatch and other games. Mouse: Asus Ceberus Ambidextrous Mouse MousePad: SteelSeries Qck Mass I have done some research before hand, some mentioned that the polling rate of the mouse low? Or Maybe the mouse's IPS(inch per second) rating is low? Or mousepad is bad?
