Whenever I try to a system image recovery the mouse and keyboard don't work. I can't continue to do it because for some reason they don't even power on. They're plugged into the USB 2 ports on the motherboard and I've tried every port on the motherboard and even on the case. They don't power up at all.There's a PS/2 port but I don't have an adapter or a PS/2 keyboard to try. (ASUS Maximus VII Formula motherboard)

Hi forum, I just completed my new build and running into a big problem. first the component: 1- MB: Asus ROG Maximus IX Code 2- CPU: intel i7 7700K 3- Cooling: Corsair 110 GT 4- RAM: G Skill 3000 64GB 5- Video cards (SLI): EVGA hybrid GTX 1080 6- PSU: corsair RM 1000W 7- Storage: intel M.2 SSD6, Crucial 960GB SSD, WD 2TB, Segate 4TB The system boo to BIOS and Windows installation gone well, able to install VC driver and some other software (Steam, origin and Uplay), MS office. Then there was some windows update installed couple of times, restart ok then another updates boom no single USB port were working. The issue first encountered with Aorus MB changed twice same problem. Updated the BIOS to newer version, same issue. Now I will reinstall Windows and try to update the MB driver before anything else and will see. Any thoughts please help. Thanks

Hey, I am a PS4 player that likes to use mouse and keyboard but don't want to use a Xim and cheat my PS4 into thinking I'm using a controller, which works great since I mainly play a game that allows mouse and keyboard. My issue is that the input lag on a mouse on PS4 greatly hinders my performance, compared to how I do on a laptop that can't even run the game as well as a PS4. I've tried buying an expensive mouse and reducing the polling rate to match that of the PS4 usb port as well as testing other mouse settings, but the lag is still there. I was wondering if buying a gaming usb hub would reduce lag, or if there's anything else I could do. Any help is appreciated.

Good day. In the (hopefully) not to distant future i plan to upgrade my basic PC with I mind blowing GT710. On the back of that beast will be HDMI port. (a similar build to the $69 gaming PC) Now the main thing is i want to go fully wireless on one of the monitors attached to that PC. one will be stationary at the desk. The other will be a monitor which will be sometime at the desk and sometime close to the bed for late night gaming sessions. What i want to do is be able to work at the pc during the day and at night sit at the tv or bed and play games or work there. all wireless (except for the monitor power cord). All the peripherals will be wireless mouse keyboard and headphones. I want to transmit signal over wireless HDMI to the monitor over a distance of about 6 or 7 meters. Now the question is, Is this possible? A wireless display and peripherals for gaming and other tasks. Most likely games GTA 4, crysis, Saints Row and various other open world, racing and first person shooter games. Also what HDMI transmitter should i use for best bang for the buck? I have been trying to game on geforce now on android tv with mouse and keyboard and it works fine except for right click on the mouse which does not work for some reason,in the use interface and most apps right click works as back buttun but on geforce now it does not work at all,do you have any ideas how to fix that please?

I bought an HP Envy 700-500ny computer that came with a wireless mouse and keyboard combo. PC Specifications The dongle of the combo kept disconnecting so I applied some force. It worked and then it stopped so I applied even more pressure, but then the dongle broke. Is there a way I can still use the mouse and keyboard? Thanks for the help

Hey all, once again in the Troubleshooting side of LTT, can't seem to catch a break with my PC. So, this time, just periodically pretty much everything disconnects for a bit. A list of things that happen just every so often: Keyboard stops responding, LEDs turn off, and then come back on frozen how they were just before they froze. It usually starts working normally about 5-30 seconds after the initial disconnect. About 5 seconds after my keyboard's LEDs shut off and turn back on, there is a 1-5 second long freeze with my monitor and then two short stutter freezes about 1 or 2 seconds afterwards. Sound is produced through my speakers just like normal during this. Rarely my mouse is unable to click, scroll, anything but move the cursor after the freeze. This has happened twice. Only resolved by a Restart. When this happens the 'Disconnected Device' sound from Windows can be heard. I've experienced that in games, when my keyboard 'disconnects' the key(s) I had held down continues to be pushed down even after I let go, this is only resolved by pressing he key again after 'disconnect' period has passed. That's about it, it's super infuriating as I'm unable to play games competitively (CS:GO) as my PC can unexpectedly freeze for up to half a minute. I'm going to reinstall Windows anyways, but have you guys any idea as to what is happening?

Hello LTT Forum, I have a virus that will randomly disable my mouse and keyboard and I need to hard reset my computer to regain control. I have run an avg scan and a malwarebytes scan, nothing comes up. I need some help with this issue as it is extremely annoying and I can not find a solution anywhere on the internet. So i was upading my Drivers AMD CCC. I uninstalled them and rebooted to install the newer ones. But when I got to My login i could not use my Mouse or Keyboard... Mouse and Keyboard work during Bios etc. Tried in all USB 2.0 and 3.0 sockets Mouse and keyboard work during windows 7 instalation (vis USB boot) Currently attempting to make a USB win 8.1 boot. Any 1 know what i could help? Im able to use CMD in the windows 7 Installations ISO (Dont know any commands that would allow me to find or run drivers etc

I know I can use my mouse and keyboard via a micro usb to usb cable, but I want to use them for my games. Any games that have such support? Or possibly even a custom kernel that can do this? I don't like using controllers anymore for my games... if you are wondering my phone is an HTC one (M7) running stock sense at the moment and I am using a logitech wireless mouse and keyboard combo.
